Here's the problem with your "theory."

Firstly, it is objectively uncommon. It is objectively an exceedingly rare event. In fact, this "waive the NK" ploy only works if waving the Nk is an exceedingly rare event because it depends on people believing that the "no NK = town role blocked it" is more likely than not. The second Mafia waving the NK becomes a "not uncommon" thing is the second it stops being a viable thing for mafia to do!

Second, I'm not claiming I'm confirm. So this theory that mafia waived the NK so I can claim I'm confirmed falls immediately flat because I'm not claiming I'm confirmed.

I agree. If it grey was mad, then his role would have to have the stipulation he could only target townies, but I don't see the roles being that complex.

I would think it goes without saying that role verification =/= affiliation verification.

Though in a well designed game, I wouldn't expect Mafia to be able to give Mafia extra votes, so if it works, is at least say that both Grey and Ragnar can't be scum. At least one has to be town.

The reason I outed is because if I blocked the NK by being the target, then Ragnar targeting AROSE wasn't the NK attempt. He's no "confirmed scum."

Town OR Mafia can replace Mafia. Cog was Mafia so I could be either based on that alone.
