Standing out in front of the church, Grahf sees a tall, pale skinned man dressed in fine - if old fashioned - attire. His tunic is blood red, and he is draped in a royal blue cape. On either side him are three giant wolves whose shoulders are as high as the man's. Their eyes glow red with malicious intelligence.
Man: Ireena! Come introduce me to your new... acquaintances!

Something is just... off about this whole thing.
If ethan is scum, then he has to have a scum partner that should be screaming at him in their scum PM to change behavior. Also, with him on the chopping block, I have to believe that they would have told him to fake claim a PR to fish for the CC. Of course that's assuming their scum partner is online and that ethan is willing to take advice on how to play.
If he is town, he has clearly shown that he is not will to take advice on how to play.
But, on the other hand. If he's scum, then how does he know about vanillas? He had to have gotten information about vanillas from someone.
Unvote.

Ismark: Disguises are a good idea, but I have a feeling that if Strahd wants to know where we are at, he has ways of finding that out.
With that statement, there are two firm and heavy knocks at the door to the church.

That's not how this words. Mods don't choose who is town or mafia. It's random. The chance that supa would have made both of you scum is low.

Ireena: Yes, some of the Vistani actively spy for and aid Strahd, and there is no denying that they all benefit from his favoritism towards them. But that doesn't meanthey all deserve death. What do you propose to do: orphan all of their children? Or "accidentally" arrange for their deaths as well? With that last remark she gives a small glance toward Snerp.
Ismark: Regardless, they wouldn't be very good spies if we knew which of them they are. So, no, we can't guarantee that any specific Vistana will not report our whereabouts.

Ireena: "Dispatch them"?! You mean kill them all? I meant purchase or rent the horses!

Ismark: I do not know why he seeks her. All I know is that he does. For some reason he has set his sights on her. In two occasions he has caught her out-of-doors but...
Ireena: I don't remember what happened. When I think about those events, I can remember nothing specific, other than his eyes aflame with desire.
Ismark: ...so as you can see, as capable as my sister is, Strahd has some sort of... sway over here. As far as Krezk, I do not know much about it, except that it is much further away (and therefore much more dangerous to reach) and we must pass Vallaki to get there anyway. I know that Vallaki is fortified, and the reports from the burgomaster there are that they people live in some semblance of happiness and freedom from Strahd's oppression.

Seeing the confusion, Ismark steps forward: Sorry, I forgot you are new here. Our village here is on the east end of the valley. The Old Svalich road winds through the valley, steadily heading to the west. Everything in the valley can be reached by this road or some side path off of it. Vallaki lies in the center of the valley and Krezk far to the west. Between here and Vallki are side roads that will take you to the windmill you seek and... Castl Ravenloft; to get further away from it, we must first risk passing by it.
Ireena: There is also a Vistani encampment near the village here, by the Tser pool. We may wish to visit them as we leave: they have horses.

Ismark: From what you describe, she seems to be a magical - and power - creature. While I will certainly help you confront Maggie in regards to these accusations, I am not going to drag my sister into a confrontation. I insist on securing her safety in Vallaki, first.
Ireena: Ismark, I can handle my self, if you'd just let me...
Ismark: The last few times you were out by yourself, Strahd found you. It's too dangerous.
Donavich: Ismark... Ireena... do not fight. I agree that this is no place for Ireena, but, if you wish my advice, it would be to not stop in Vallaki and go to Krezk on the other side of the valley. Is much father away and safer. I have heard great things of the Abbott there.

ethan, if you are town, you have to understand that you have been playing this game very poorly. Just about everything you've said is factually and objectively false, and this has been explained to you by multiple people. All of it could have been written off as a noob trying to learn the game, but you aren't trying to learn anything; you're just doubling down on your flawed reasoning.
Consider why you even think I'm scum in the first place.

Wait. So you're saying if Pie isn't town, there is a 17% chance he isn't my scum partner?Pie is town, but if he isn't, he 83% likely to be drafter's scum partner.

With the ceremony done, Donavich leads them back into the chapel.
Donavich: What do you intend to do now?
Created:

Donavich frowns slightly. He is... resting. I'm sure I look about as well as I feel: exhausted.
It doesn't appear that Donavich is holding anything back and is indeed tired and stressed out from what he has been dealing with.
[Insight Check: d20 (8) + 4 = 12]
Donavich leads the party around behind the church to the graveyard where the coffin is laid to rest inside the prepared plot. Donavich hands some shovels to the Ireena and Ismark who begin filling it in while Donavich offers a prayer.
O MorningLord,
The safe light falls, heralding a new day
The warm blush carries your everlasting promise
I soak in the grace you give
At the dawn of each morning.
With the sun, hope also rises
To cast light into the darkness.
Sweet songs flow from skies
Emerging in the hazy glow.
Sounds of comfort
That lead us to wonder again at the beauty all around.
A taste of your light is poured into each new dawn.
We are reminded of new birth,
Of your redeeming love
And with this wake up call,
Each and everyone can trust in
The promise of eternity
And carry its gentle presence into
The day anew.
Donavich, Ismark, and Ireena bow their heads in reverence.

What's a "subjective state"?However, I think I made a mistake say 'internal states' which implies physical location. It would have been better if I had said 'subjective states'.

1} why the word speciation is focused on, in your givens, and not the word evolution?
Evolution is manifest through speciation events.
2} so is any of this speciation simple-to-complex evolution, complex-to-simple evolution, or just lateral evolution being niether more or less complex?
There are examples of all of those.

I'm on the fence about ethan. On the one hand, he comes across as noob with short-sighted, over-exited noob. But here's the thing, he's consistently called me scum since I first started pressuring him, yet hasn't voted for me. I find that slightly sus that he's FOSing me, but won't put his vote where his mouth is.
For Pie, I don't like the fluffy posting. It's a slight read, sure, but enough to put him in the S column.

Ismark retrieves a file for snerp, then joins the group in carrying the casket. Ireena leads the group through the streets. As usual, the streets are deserted. Nevertheless, Ireena keeps one hand on the hilt of her sword. Slowly and surely, they make their way to the church. The walls of the church are eerily silent as Ireena knocks on the door. After a few minutes, the priest opens the door. He looks haggard and pale, but forces a smile when he sees Ireena.
Ireena: Donavich, it has been too long. Sadly, the reports of my father's death have not been exaggerated.
Donavich: I feared as much, sweet Ireena. You've come soon enough, we can do a proper Morninglord ceremony. Please, meet me around back in the graveyard. I had the plot prepared when I had heard of Kolyan's death.
Created:
Posted in:
Ismark: I believe we can find you a file as far as the other stuff, we aren't exactly steeped in wealth here. What you say about the priest is disturbing, but makes sense. Strahd often turns those that oppose him into thralls under his control as a form of torment, both for the living and the dead.

(I am going to take this opportunity to say that, now that you're out of the Death House, the valley is yours to explore at your discretion. Including when and how you proceed along the "main quest" versus "side quests." I will note that their difficulty is already set, meaning you can stumble into encounters and quests that you are not yet prepared for. "Run away!" is always a viable course of action.)
Ireena: No more complicated than any other burial. He has a reserved plot at the church, but me and Ismark cannot carry the casket ourselves. The townsfolk think that by helping us, they'll be opposing Strahd and invite his wrath.

I don't know that.
Yeah, but I do. I'm telling you that's how mafia works here.
The equation you gave was 8 players. 5 town, 2 scum, and you.
How does scum knowing your state know whether or not they can kill you?
Ethang, you're off base here. Pressuring people for claims is normal. Pressuring noobs is normal. You have no basis to disagree.
