@HistoryBuff
Please stop being stupid. I did not say I believed it. I said I did not know if it was true, and I had no reason as yet to believe or deny it.
and yet you insist on spreading this conspiracy theory on the internet.
You call it a conspiracy theory. But you aren't anyone's standard. I remember you said no one had said Hunter Biden had committed any crime, yet he was under federal investigation. You are a liberal, and you not only think your opinion is fact, you think others should follow it.
That is the problem.
No, that's what you believe, and its your problem.
You heard a thing that has no basis in reality as far as you know and you are proceeding to spread it.
Sorry Adolph, I live in a country that honors free speech. When you close your trap to the insults, innuendos, and lies about Trump, I'll take you more seriously.
Shit like that is why so many people think there was fraud in the election, even though no one can find any evidence.
Like no one could find any crime Hunter Biden had done? Being obtuse to the evidence doesn't make it disappear. It's the 20th of December and Biden is still not confirmed, maybe the issue is your eyesight and not the visibility of the evidence.
I made it extra ridiculous to highlight how stupid this is.
No, you simply exposed your partisanship. Your TDS.
lol, i showed how foolish you were being, so that somehow has something to do with me hating trump?
You only thought I was being foolish snowflake, but you opinion is not fact. You brought up Trump. Your TDS was showing.
...this has nothing to do with trump. this is about you spreading rumors on the internet.
Nope. This has to do with a deranged partisan hack trying to stifle free speech. Just like your leftist mobs on uni campuses who try to boycott speakers, and twitter and Facebook trying to silence and suppress posters, and the MSM pretending whole stories don't exist. You are cut from the same cloth and I reject and dismiss you as fascist liberal who only honors our constitution when it is advantageous to you.
Now you're assigning me intent. Did you think Kavenaugh was guilty? On what evidence? Get away from me you befuddled partisan hack. The police state you wish us to live in will be met by logic and resistance.
lol, i didn't realize that expecting people to stick to reality was a "police state".
When did you start sticking to reality? You were ready to convict and condemn Kavenaugh on baseless nonsense. Was that reality? You stink of hypocrisy.
Clearly people spreading baseless conspiracy theories online is the only way to be free. This is just pathetic.
You are pathetic. You spent the last 2 years spreading baseless conspiracy theories online about Trump, but all of a sudden, you have integrity? Should I post some of the "facts" you've regularly posted?
I have no respect for your fake hypocritical "judgement". I can ask questions. Your only problem is that you viewed my question as being negative for Democrats. I don't answer to partisan hacks suffering from TDS. Go find someone who would be intimidated by your SJW-hood. It isn't me.

Please stop being stupid. I did not say I believed it. I said I did not know if it was true, and I had no reason as yet to believe or deny it.
of course you have reason not to believe it. It is an internet rumor with no evidence. Never believe internet rumors with no evidence.
I did not believe it, and said so. Stop being an idiot.
And the CJ just talking to another SCOTUS member is hardly like Trump killing and eating a baby.
I made it extra ridiculous to highlight how stupid this is.
No, you simply exposed your partisanship. Your TDS.
it is some a random rumor on the internet that you have no reason to believe is true. you choose to believe it because you want to.
You cannot see that I said I did not believe it because TDS makes you stupid.
I do. And millions of others do too. It was possible for cases concerning the election to reach the supreme court. Some have.
like what exactly? What kind of case could possibly make a difference that could be heart by the supreme court?
Please don't try now to dishonestly move the goalposts. You asked me who cares what the chief justice thinks, I told you I do, and millions of others. This is true. There was nothing about the merits of Trumps case, or of overturning this election. That is all in your paranoid TDS affliction.
Are you trying to be stupid? You asked me " who cares?" I said I care, and you conclude I'm "bent out of shape"?
I said who cares about something extremely stupid (ie a human being having an opinion) and you said you do. So yeah, that is extremely stupid.
Then I think you're an idiot. I do care about the opinions of the chief justice. In fact, I think you're a hypocrite AND an idiot. You cared about the opinions of most recent SCOTUS appointee. Take your sickness elsewhere.
Of course he has an opinion. if he didn't, he wouldn't be human. So basically, you are saying if he is human, you are going to be upset...
I am not upset. I never was. I did not say I was. I said I cared about his opinions. You, rabid with TDS, thought I believed the story (though I said I did not) thought I was advancing it as truth (though I said I was not) thought I was "bent out of shape" (why, only TDS can explain) and now think I was "upset" because the opinion of the chief justice interests me.
Its like you are communicating from a parallel universe.
I heard this. I don't know if its true or not. I have no reason to believe it and I currently have no reason to doubt it. So I seek information.
that is what research is for. You are just spreading rumors on the internet. which is exactly how you heard about this in the 1st place.
Asking here IS research idiot. And again, if you think I can't ask questions, you can take your fascism and jump off a bridge. Do you have any proof for half of the ridiculous things you say about Trump?
But in your partisan mind, I'm already killing and eating babies! I'm here asking if there is any evidence, and you are rabid.
all i'm doing is pointing out your actions so you can take a look at what you are doing.
No. You are assigning me beliefs and actions. I said I did NOT believe the story. You insisted I did. You called me "upset" for reasons only in your mind. You seem not to be able to tell the difference between your opinion and reality.
You are spreading rumors on the internet that, as far as you know, have no basis in fact.
That is your fascist opinion. You want me not to ask. I say, f you. My country has freedom of speech. I did not come in saying it was true, or that I believed it. You are the one constantly feeding us your biased and dopey opinions on Trump as of they are true. If I had said I heard that Trump had killed and eaten a baby, you'd be the first one up to say it was probably true.
I have only asked a question. If you think questions should not be asked until a story is validated, then you ARE a fascist.
so if i start asking people if they have evidence about how trump eats babies, that is totally ok right?
Please stop being stupid. Really. Any question you ask is OK with me. I actually place free speech above PC liberal dogma. I was not asking for evidence, I was asking if anyone had heard of the rumor. Stop being paranoid and imbecilic.
I can start spreading rumors like that as long as i frame it as a question?
Now you're assigning me intent. Did you think Kavenaugh was guilty? On what evidence? Get away from me you befuddled partisan hack. The police state you wish us to live in will be met by logic and resistance.

But if I ever actually believed someone was crucified for something I had personally done wrong, I don't think I could live with it.
Exactly!!! And not just someone, but the holiest, spotless, blameless, gentlest, most beautiful person ever. This is why Christians fall down in worship, adoration, and gratitude at His divine feet. When we find out who He is, we finally see the injustice of it, the wrongness of such an excellent person dying a horrible death for someone as unworthy as us. It slays us.
The guilt, shame, and hopelessness of ever being able to repay Him would literally kill us were it not for His regeneration of us. I struggle to find words to encompass His sheer splendiferousness, or the depths of His love and mercy. They are more wonderful by far than even the horror of knowing He died because of me.
He's the "good news".

What about your specific GOD......Do you not trust that?
Jesus Christ IS God. And no one owns God. He isn't MY God or YOUR God in the possessive sense. He is just God. Just one God. And God of all.
And He doesn't need your approval or agreement.

What exactly it is, is that...
First, you think an interview is an interrogation. Why? The word I used was interview. If I had asked to interrogate you, would you have agreed? But you obviously think it will be an interrogation. Why did you agree?
Second, why do you think you'd be interrogated forever? Is your character that interesting? Or am I supposed to be fascinated with you? What makes you think I would want to interrogate you at all, much less forever? What did you imagine my motivation would be for wanting to do that?
Thanks for agreeing anyway, that is further than most liberals would have gone. But I will take back my request. Your current frame of mind would make an interview with you unprofitable. Have a good day.

ok, so what if I just said, "I heard someone watched trump kill and eat a baby. I don't have any proof, but I think he did". Would that be reasonable? no. there is no reason to believe something like that without evidence. That is essentially what you are doing. Spreading rumor and conspiracy theories online with no evidence that anything happened.
Please stop being stupid. I did not say I believed it. I said I did not know if it was true, and I had no reason as yet to believe or deny it. And the CJ just talking to another SCOTUS member is hardly like Trump killing and eating a baby. I would tell you to calm down except that I already know people with TDS don't respond to reason.
I do. And millions of others do too. It was possible for cases concerning the election to reach the supreme court. Some have.
guess what, he has an opinion. Everyone does. Maybe he would prefer Biden, maybe he would prefer trump. It is one of those two things. So if you get bent out of shape because of that fact, then you are an idiot.
Are you trying to be stupid? You asked me " who cares?" I said I care, and you conclude I'm "bent out of shape"? The only idiot here is you. Why do you think no one should care about the personal opinion of the chief justice of the Supreme Court? The only one " bent out of shape is you.
This is misleading. The Supreme Court isn't part of the election process, but can make rulings on whether those processes adhere to the constitution.
not really, no. The states have the constitutionally protected right to do their election however they want. There is absolutely nothing SCOTUS can do about that.
This is untrue. SCOTUS can rule on cases brought to it, as it did in the All Gore case in 2,000. State law cannot violate Federal law.
I heard this. I don't know if its true or not. I have no reason to believe it and I currently have no reason to doubt it. So I seek information.
having no information confirming it happened is a reason to doubt it. You are basically saying you have reason to doubt it, but choose not to.
I just said I have no reason to believe it, you saw only the part of the comment saying I had no reason to doubt. That is your TDS working.
Only in your fevered mind. I did not "engage with it as if it was a credible report." Unless you mean I should not have asked a question. If that is what you mean, I reject that as fascist. It is better to ask, and asking need not be censored.
lol sure. because anyone who expects there to be a shred of evidence for things, must be fascist. My god republicans are terrified of facts.
Please stop being a fool. I was asking to find out if there was evidence. I told you I did not yet believe it because I had no evidence to do so. But in your partisan mind, I'm already killing and eating babies! I'm here asking if there is any evidence, and you are rabid. I'm asking for facts, you are the one angry that I asked, and republicans are terrified of facts?
I have only asked a question. If you think questions should not be asked until a story is validated, then you ARE a fascist. How will stories ever get debunked or verified without questions? But you are so wrecked by TDS, all you see is someone killing and eating a baby when they simply ask a question.
These is the kind of people into whose hands the govt. is about to be entrusted. If Kavenaugh thought his denial of due process was bad, wait until these loonies are in power.

-->@HB - I have no interest in engaging your TDS. I'm just asking questions. But I can see now how the MSM can think repressing a story is justified.
If he was just giving his opinion that he would prefer trump not win, then who cares?
I do. And millions of others do too. It was possible for cases concerning the election to reach the supreme court. Some have.
If the point is that he was trying to do something to stop trump winning, then it makes no sense because he isn't part of the election process.
This is misleading. The Supreme Court isn't part of the election process, but can make rulings on whether those processes adhere to the constitution. Stop being paranoid and trying to suppress everything you don't like. That isn't free speech.
I'm not here to review the merits of the Trump case. As I told you, both your objectivity , and your ability to be objective, are highly suspect. Let me ask a question without someone going full karen on me.

@amandragon01
This is your repeated assertion, it is however unfounded.
I wish you'd say how.
I have addressed this, it addresses humanity.
We know. But why?
It addresses the fact that humans are the only beings we know of relevant to the discussion of religion.
But relevant in what way?? You are dodging dragon, and I think I know why.
I haven't dodged any question, I've already answered this question. It's because of humanity, of all known species humans are relevant in the discussion of belief in a god.
Relevant in what way?
1. Why is personhood necessary for atheism?
Because only humans are relevant.
Relevant how? I say it's because only humans can think. You're dodging.
2. Why can't a scarf be an atheist?
Because only humans are relevant.
Relevant in what way? I say it's because only humans can think. You're dodging.
3. What is it that makes a lemon tree different from a person, and thus, unqualified as an atheist?
Because only humans are relevant.
Sorry. That doesn't answer the question. What is it that makes humans relevant and lemon trees NOT relevant?
It's because of humanity, of all known species humans are relevant in the discussion of belief in a god.
Relevant in what way? There are a thousand ways to formulate this question and I will ask you till you answer it, or run away. Either way the result will be the same to your argument. It will kill it.

sounds like more right wing insanity.
You would have more credibility with me if you didn't consider everything "rightwing" to be insanity.
I mean, the Supreme court has nothing to do with elections, so it doesn't even make any sense.
What doesn't make any sense? That the Chief Justice would have an opinion on Trump? That he would be speaking to another justice about the election? You're acting as if I have offered this as an official ruling of the Supreme Court.
Why would you put any stock in this at all without hard evidence?
I did not "put stock" in it, and I have no reason to discount it right now either.
The story is still hard to get but it seems that people claimed to hear liberal justices shouting about why they should not take Trumps case. And some are trying to link that with a chief justice's alleged comment that the Al Gore case was different because we didn't have rioters in the streets then. And finally that the Chief justice intimidated Alito and Thomas into agreeing to refuse the case.
I have no proof of any of it, but with the MSM burying some stories, that this one in not being reported does not necessarily mean it isn't true.

No,...
No what?
...sources provide impacts to argumentation,...
Sources are supposed to provide impacts to argumentation, many people post ONLY the source, no argument.
...if you were to try to present an argument, the premises held within it have to be true for the argument to hold any weight.
The premises being true does nothing if the logic is faulty. A true source does not substitute for a good argument. Give me a good argument, and we can get to sources anytime.
You do not tend to have nor even look at sources. That was my point.
I have sources, and I do look at sources, but first, my logic is so good I rarely need sources to help my point. Also, I've already seen most of the cliché sources most posters trot out. They are young and think non one has seen their sources.
I do not play the game of "citations", where the poster demands sources for petty or obvious things, as if the ability to post a source validates ones argument. If you ask me for a citation showing that the sun is hot, for example, I will just treat you like an idiot.
If you knew of logic, then you would know of soundness, which is where the argument is both valid and true.
Can I interview you?

This all ties in to the current liberal progressive push to feminize men.
They must first establish that men/masculinity is not valuable/unique/or needed in society. Then on to masculinity being "toxic".
They will throw "studies" at you, and assume correlation is causation. Political correctness can cause an otherwise smart person to hold beliefs that are obviously contradicted by reality, like "fatherless homes have no effect on children."
For example, this ludicrous thread attempts to take as established fact that every advancement in society today is directly the result liberalism. How do you debate people who hold falsehoods as axioms?

Atheists Are Not Stupid
Can the same be said for theists?
You didn't read the OP so I'll repost it here for you.
Both Psalm 14:1 and Psalm 53:1 read, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’”
Some take these verses to mean that atheists are stupid, i.e., lacking intelligence. However, that is not the only meaning of the Hebrew word translated “fool.” In this text, the Hebrew word is nabal, which often refers to an impious person who has no perception of ethical or religious truth.
The meaning of the text is not “unintelligent people do not believe in God.” Rather, the meaning of the text is “sinful people do not believe in God.” In other words, it is a wicked thing to deny God, and a denial of God is often accompanied by a wicked lifestyle.
The verse goes on to list some other characteristics of the irreligious: “They are corrupt; their deeds are vile; / there is no one who does good.” Psalm 14 is a study on the universal depravity of mankind.
Many atheists are very intelligent. It is not intelligence, or a lack thereof, that leads a person to reject belief in God. It is a lack of righteousness that leads a person to reject belief in God.
Many people do not object to the idea of a Creator, as long as that Creator minds His own business and leaves them alone. What people reject is the idea of a Creator who demands morality from His creation. Rather than struggle against a guilty conscience, some people reject the idea of God altogether. Psalm 14:1 calls this type of person a “fool.”
So, to answer your question, yes, the same thing can be said for theists.
Created:

Well, it wasn't an assumption.
And so I assumed, that you also must assume that you are mature.....
Compared to militant atheists? Toddlers are comparatively mature to militant anti-theists.
Therefore as you were clearly not in agreement, the implication would obviously be the antithesis of what you regarded as an immature statement.....Basic Inference.

@Tradesecret
I personally believe that Islam has influenced this mode of thought among Christians that "Everything that happens is the will/plan of God". Islam is deterministic, and so they (must) believe Allah is capable of evil. So they believe everything that happens, is what God wants or it could not have happened.
Christians started showing signs of assimilating this sort of thinking a few decades ago. The stumbling thing is, free will. Few understand it. Some even think our free will contradicts God's omnipotence. Some believe we don't have free will at all, but an illusion of free will.
The aim of the thinking behind this question is to force the Christian to conclude that God is evil. For if everything that happens, happens because God actively wanted it to happen, then it logically follows that God wants evil to happen, at least sometimes. So once you get a person to accept that " everything that happens is God's plan" to remain logical, that person must also conclude that God is evil, because evil happens.
If you don't believe in God, then you would not ask that sort of question. And if you did believe in God, you would not ask that question. It is the sort of question that someone asks when they don't believe in God and wrongly assume that believers might actually ask such a question. It smacks of condescension. It is also what is called strawman. and it is strawman in the sense that it is attempting to structure an argument that you assume they believe and then you will demonstrate why it is nonsense.
My guess is that Stephen will gloss over this observation.

@Stephen
Did you here what two of your countries Muslim congress women had to say lately?
How is it pertinent to our topic?
My topic .
When you figure out how it's pertinent, (look it up) get back to me.
You think they are terrible but you quote them as your support?
To support my statements.
Are they honest?
My country isn't a shithole.
I didn't say it was.
I know. Did I say you said it was?
I have said don't let AMERICA become one like my country that is being turned into a shithole by cultures alien and incompatible to my English culture and way of life.
Sort of how you think Jesus was doing when He told His disciples to buy swords?
But you know that I said that and are now just struggling for anything that will inflame an argument in a desperate attempt to be right about... something or anything.
You burst onto flame at just about every comment Stephen. I long since stopped caring about your perpetual outrage.
You are instead though making yourself look absolutely fkn stupid!
Lol. That must be what's bothering you.
Do not cave into this shite and stand up and at defend your faith if not your country
Didn't you condemn Jesus for doing what you're doing?
Show me where I have condemned Jesus , bright spark.
Your ideology is built on lies - Stephen
When Jesus told His disciples to buy swords, was He not telling them to stand up and defend their faith if not their country? You condemned Him for it.
I am asking/begging AMERICA not to cave in to the menace that is heading your way and have shown you that it is closer to home than YOU may want to even admit.
Should I sell my clothes to buy a gun?
Just like our ex Prime Minister your Messiah, Barack Hussein Obama, stood on the world stage and shouted to the world that "Islam is a religion of peace" when the facts speak for themselves that Islam is anything but. Or do you believe Barack Hussein Obama, that Islam is in fact a religion of peace?
Well, is Barack my messiah or not?
Like us here, you already have Muslim Shariah courts that will take precedent over your own laws of the land. And this can only happen with the complicity of those like you - those "turn the other cheek" and "love thine enemies" types ignoring it.
Who was it again that taught the "turning the other cheek" and the "love thine enemies" doctrine that you now seem to despise? Ah yes! I remember! The Prince of Peace fellow! Wait.
There will be no Prince of Peace riding to rescue, princess. There is a new god on the block, the age of the fish is over.
So, when He says "get weapons", you condemn Him. And when he says, "Love your enemies", you condemn Him all the same. This Prince of Peace guy can't catch a break from you can He?
And that ethang 5, is exactly what has happened in towns and cities up and down my once green and pleasant land. Where the large Muslim communities have simply voted in their own Muslim Mayors and Muslim MP's and not on merit but simply because they ae Muslim.
You will not see it now, but the first step in your downfall was when you Brits left God for your silly PC doctrine that included the falsehood that all cultures were equally good. Your youth had nothing to believe in. Nothing to live for.
Just like you.
Welcome to the godless Britain you always wanted. The Prince of Peace has left you alone as you requested. Enjoy!

How proud you must feel.
To be a servant to His Beatific Excellency, King Jesus? I'm bursting! That the Great and Mighty King would even be mindful of me, a flea offering only dirty rags!
You better believe I'm proud to be His!

I have asked many times on this religion forum, why is that Jesus didn't eradicate all leprosy instead of curing just a few lepers? The same goes for blindness? Why didn't Jesus simply say all blindness be cured and then all blindness was cured instead of curing the blindness of a few?Why tell just tell just one crippled man to "take up thy bed and walk" and not tell all cripples that they should do the same?
Jesus probably got confused and forgot that His mission was the be a genie for all men, and started thinking people had to show some contrition for His healing efforts. The nerve of Him!
And why waste what appears to be a perfectly good miracle of turning water into wine?
Wine peddlers certainly would agree with you.
I suppose if one was going to launch themselves onto the world stage with a bang, this may have been what Jesus had in mind as the perfect way to do it?
Wasn't it Mary who set it off?
Jesus seems a bit of picky bias kind of chap doesn't he?
If by "picky" you mean He didn't do what you wanted, then sure.

Like you, Willows was always ridiculous and hardly ever funny. He never failed to trow away his integrity for a potshot at God. And what do you know, God survived.
But you little ole ants keep trying. Who knows, maybe one day you guys may move that rubber tree God. Even if everyone knows that an anthiest can't, move a rubber tree God. But you have high hopes, you've got high hopes!! .........Oops! There stands the immutable rubber tree God, oops, they haven't moved the immutable rubber tree God!
Lol.
Oh ethang, my boy, my boy.
Yes, my little ole ant?
I think can see our problem now. I don't know how we ever got so many wires crossed!!!!????
Poor reading comprehension?
ethang5 my son, I believe in god! In fact ,I believe that there were at least 600 hundred of them here once but they left " like migrating birds" millennia ago and just before some great disaster struck the earth. It could have been the same natural disaster that struck Sodom and Gomorrah and those other three cities. I am sure I could make a link if I tried and put my mind to it. But what would be the point, no one would believe my belief, would they? But I bet I could make it sound more plausible than people coming back to life that had been dead and stinking and rotting in their graves for days , weeks, months and years.
Listen princess, I am just as annoyed and frustrated as any Christian is that I cannot prove a damn single thing that I believe.
Oops! There stands the immutable rubber tree God, oops, they haven't moved the immutable rubber tree God!
Lol.
