@fauxlaw
I don't know. I am at the very beginning of looking into this. The other planets have harmonic properties with other planets and the Earth and sun, thus I suspect they are where they should be in this system. Thus I suggest that this phenomenon is only a property of the Earth/moon system. Every planet plays their part, spiritually and physically (which are interrelated). In one aspect the solar system is a chakra system of a being that encompasses the whole system. This would place the Earth/moon system at the level of the heart chakra.

Nothing can be confirmed nor denied. Especially in your world view. So why bother discussing anything at all?
Now, I would like it if you would just give my question a go, just because.

@Polytheist-Witch
I've had too many synchronous events, some that have unfolded over decades, to believe that cause and effect is a real thing.

And what if this isn't a "cause and effect" universe?

The Earth is expanding, and slowing down as it does so. The Moon is shrinking. My theory is that the Moon and Earth exchange mass (in basalt and water mostly) on a regular basis, with one expanding and the other shrinking. The minimum radius is 1056 miles, the maximum radius is 3960 miles for both planets. When the Earth reaches maximum radius, the Moon reaches minimum radius and vice versa, on a 250 million year timeline.
I am working on an exact timeline, here is what I have so far:
259,200,000 year timeline
25,920,000 (26 million year mass extinction events)
25,920 Great Year (Precession of the Equinoxes)
259,200,000/25,920,000 = 10 (that means 10 mass exchange events, resulting in 10 extinction events per cycle)
25,920,000/25,920=1000 (that means 1000 Great Years per mass exchange cycle)

Honestly I don't see the point of this exercise. Why make things up, how we would prefer it? It's hard enough trying to figure out what's going on in the first place.

Good video.
Makes me think our hearts are synchronized with something "outside" ourselves, although I realize now we are just a part of the whole system.

I don't prefer to believe it at all. But we don't always get what we want.
Created:

@zedvictor4
Can you explain?
The intent of an author is to inform or entertain by providing a narrative product for your entertainment and/or information.
How said information is input and assessed is entirely down to you.....Your own intent.
The determination to experience, based upon specific literature, is ones own arbitrary decision, and not the decision of the author.
Nonetheless, do you agree that your experiences are wholly, internally motivated?
No. Much of my experience, if not all of it, seems to be orchestrated.
Created:
-->
@zedvictor4
Not MY intent. The writer's intent.

How do you differentiate precisely, between a religious experience and euphoria?
Euphoria is a side effect, and may or may not happen in a religious experience. And euphoria can happen in plenty of other situations not involving a religious experience.
So can you precisely define a "religious experience after reading scripture or other religious material"?
No. Each person has their own experience of God. May not be the same as mine.
It clearly doesn't make you intensely excited and happy (euphoric).....So how does if make you feel?
I have felt euphoria, fear, awe, confused. Usually intense feelings, but I have also felt a sense of relaxation and peace.
What is the difference between the input and assessment of religious data, and the input and assessment of any other written narrative?
The intent probably.

@Polytheist-Witch
I agree totally. Even the good experiences can be overwhelming. I have to take long breaks from any spiritual and religious activity. (That is if I even have a choice, I'm not sure of that.)

@Polytheist-Witch
Yes definitely.

@zedvictor4
I don't think I said anything about euphoria. Did I? I'm not sure. I have had induced euphoria during spiritual experiences(but not religious). It can be part of it I guess, but not necessary.

@Reece101
Ok I guess, but AWE doesn't have anything to do with this conversation. I guess you are trying to say the feeling of awe is some sort of spiritual experience, but I say it is not a necessary factor. Almost anything can create a n awe experience for a person.

@secularmerlin
Because we are not the author of suffering. If it were up to us our children would not suffer.
Sure we are, for some of it. You take something from a four year old he's not supposed to have, and give him a swat on the butt, that is suffering for the child(notwithstanding that you probably can't swat a child these days, with the snowflake culture, but that's a different story) We make them go to the dentist, we make them get shots and blood draws.

@Reece101
I mean reading scripture, or other religiously inspired books, then having an experience with the presence of God.
Created:

@Reece101
Yeah. It's not spirituality though.
Created:

@secularmerlin
It's just part of life. Life feeds off life, suffering is a part of that. Don't know why God made things that way. But I am also aware that most people who bring children into the world do it knowing full well the child will suffer at some points in life. And we love them, but do it anyway. Why?

@Reece101
A spiritual experience is not just "awe". There are multiple effects such as prana and spontaneous yoga which are involved. Kriyas to be technical.

@Dr.Franklin
It's hard to say if certain things in scripture(and other writings) are *just* describing the cosmos, or if the cosmos reflects something that is actually true. I suspect the latter, but that would imply that God positioned the stars in such a way as to describe things. I think God can do anything.

@zedvictor4
A religious experience is an experience with the presence of God. A spiritual experience is different, it doesn't have to involve God.

When I've experienced it, it is like being put into a state of deep meditation, without trying. And my breathing is regulated. It is like my body knows exactly what to do in these situations.

That's ok. But it seems like more of a problem for you than for me.

I ask because I am interested in people and their experiences.
Do you only believe what people say if they can scientifically prove it to you?

Well I m certainly not highly educated. I am a high school drop out. That being said though, I have a certain ability to make connections through intuition. I am a generalist as opposed to being a specialist in anything. Horizontal and not vertical. I do intend to finish this book, simply because it's my favorite movie. The things I like about this movie are the first layer, the obvious reincarnation theme, then there are the more subtle layers, like the whole George slaying the dragon aspect (and how it's not the dragon you have to slay, but George(which is the self, the ego). Then there is the enlightenment thing, with the main guy starting out as a total douchebag, then progressively becoming a better person throughout his incarnations. nd going offworld at the end, showing he made it to enlightenment (rising above the Earth. I'm sure there are a ton of things I missed, and I've watched it five times or so. You can give me hints, but don't spoil it for me! lol

People tend to think humans are so "advanced" these days. But let the power go out for two weeks and see what happens. Altruism dies the worse off you are. In a general sense, for the majority of people. We are wild animals with a bit of brains, and our morals haven't caught up with our capabilities.

I have no hope for humanity at this time. We destroy everything, even ourselves. Humanity is so clueless right now.

I don't know if there will be a new "god" for this age. Aquarius is represented by a man. So I think atheism may rule for Aquarius.

@Dr.Franklin
To some extent. I think there is a LOT of astrotheology mixed in with most of mythology and religion. But that part of mythology and religion is still pretty exoteric compared to other aspects of religion. Some people stop there at astrotheology, thinking that's the esoteric layers, and it really isn't.

@Lunatic
I usually read multiple non fiction books at one time, but I usually finish fiction pretty quickly. Outlander, silent planet and Roma I didn't really like, and plains of passage I just wasn't in the mood for(I've read all the clan of the cave bear books multiple times.)

I don't want to do some research. I am already bored with this conversation.
I will leave one last remark.
Welcome to your new snowflake culture. You made the bed, and now you get to sleep in it. I'm glad I'm old and don't have to deal with it for long.
