Interestingly, many Romans lived at Salisbury for centuries but no mention of Stonehenge has ever been found in Roman records.
Roman are the likeliest candidates to have taken much of the stone that is missing from the site. In Roman times, of course, such rings were far more commonplace although most werent so large. Perhaps, the Romans just didn't see Stonehenge as anything special, although that doesn't seem like the Romans to me.

Such bullshit. This is so ass. There's no reason to.
good morning
It's a bastard game and Oro acting like it isn't.
As I said DP1, BASTARD is relative. PGO+BUS DRIVER alone could qualify as bastard while two VANILLAs in a bastard game seems fairly unbastard.
Mharman admitted balance is off. Plus Skittlez never disclosed the role.
Skittlez never claimed VISITOR? explain.
Also! Who is the THEY that visited you. You owe us one more visitor.

There's no variation of VISITOR role that I can find that notifiies the target they've been visited. Since skit seems to be in on the plot I assume this is our scum team.

You claimed VANILLA so how would you know Skittlez visited you?
Who is THEY? Are you claiming to know that more than one person visited you?

I consider any conduct poor enough to merit a point poor enough to merit auto-loss. Forfeiture mostly.
I'd get rid of spelling and conduct, keep grammar and add style

I do stand by that it is undeserving of a voter category, though
If we added style points, debates would get more interesting to read.

@MisterChris
All right, I just thought this as an example of the utility of a distinctive style.
Here's a gimme debate that just finished
Obviously, my intent is humor and (you are free to correct me here) I think that my repetition of style adds to a sense of process or formality to my responses, which play into the humor. What's funny is to see how a troll debate or a goof or whatever gets processed. I think stuff like the overcaps and init's etc play up the humor here.
I don't think many would argue that humor is not useful.

@MisterChris
my original intent was to CAPITALIZE every defined TERM every time it appears, to remind readers that this is a term with a specified meaning which may require an adjustment in the reader's natural inclinations towards that term. Unfortunately, I am not very consistent with usage and many CAPS comes off as shouty. Mostly, I just keep playing with CAPS to see if such usage improves clarity or concision. In this particular, I suppose I hoped a distinctive style might help to emphasize or visualize that debate topic

BUS DRIVER alone can be considered bastard
Roles which may be considered bastard or "bad" by some players
Role
Reasoning
Actor
Forced to take on all the attention of hammering; cannot have voting patterns examined.
Bus Driver
Muddles up results and causes confusion on both sides (depending on implementation).
Framer
Akin to scum-directed unaware Miller; guilty results tend to have much more pull than a Godfather's innocents.
Lyncher
Third-party role that only cares about one player and not the scum.
Post Restriction
Many players simply do not like post restrictions.
Silencer
It only hinders the town when it's a town role and it's not fun to play against when it's a scum role.
Survivor
Generally not fun to play as.
Voteless
Has no ability to (mechanically) affect the game.
Watcher
Arguably stronger than Cop and Tracker and called "cheap" because of it

You don't think a recognizable writing style can have utility in this context? I have argued that there should be style points in debate voting. If nothing else, a distinct style helps people remember who they are reading.

I am convinced that this game is generally high power, which is consistent with bastard game. I predict the player with character claim BASTARD will be godfather.
In such a game, VANILLA claims are inherently more scummy and mafiawiki advises that such VANILLAs should claim early to help keep intel more focused and provide an early target for both scum and info roles.

Oro seems more suspicious in this way as he had given zero useful info that is subjective
I don't do subjective reads much. My take is that most of the scum reading and meta reading and prompting is self-delusional noise (particularly in DP1). I don't mind discussing claims, game structure, theme, etc. but I think all this triple-guessing players without a shred of evidence does more harm than help. When I do offer subjective reads, my record suggests that I am more likely wrong than right and so its probably more helpful to town if I just wait for some useful info to roll in.

@Stephen
- Since the youtube vid is the opinion of a foreigner, I'm not sure why you'd title this thread "America Speaks" except to deceive.
- Also there's the clear implication that BLM is not American coming from a foreigner.
- I am an upstanding, clear minded American who supports BLM's mission to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. I have witnessed many of the George Floyd protests this summer as well as a number of other civil protests and I have witnessed the riots and violence that sometimes tries to disguise itself as protest and I can testify that there are important ideological and demographic differences between BLM marchers and rioters- I have seen little overlap between the two groups.
- Because of the European travel ban, we can be certain that Stephen's foreigner has not even visited the US since George Floyd's death. Why should I accept a foreign characterization of BLM as rioters when my own experience and testimony is that's a racist lie?
- Pew polling from June found that 2 out of every 3 Americans polled support the Black Lives Matter movement. Black Lives Matter is way, way more true American than Stephen's youtube post.

@crossed
I have been told
- that the liberal protesters are peaceful.
- Big generalization but most George Floyd protests were peaceful
- That the rioters are paid to destroy city's and make the liberal protester look bad. George floyed.
- Sounds like bullshit. You don't need to pay teenagers to break windows and spray paint. There will always be a small number of (mostly) young men who will be happy to smash things up if they have a reasonable expectation of escaping any consequence.
- I live in downtown Denver so I went out late on six nights to witness the riots and who was doing the rioting. Mostly events followed the same pattern: After 9PM curfew, the protestors- the people with signs, chanting slogans, calling for change, went home and what was left was a rump group of 50 to 200 rioters- overwhelmingly white men under 21 yrs old. Denver police have been quite public regarding the distinction they perceive between George Floyd protesters and white kids looking for trouble
- Is this not the same as the school shooting crisis actors.
- Well they are both obvious and ridiculous lies told to sow distrust in civil society so yes, both lies are similar.
That alex jone's said.Alex jones is not the first person to say it.
- Alex Jones is big fat liar. He has testified under oath that he's a deeply silly big fat liar.
- MediaBias/FactCheck reports:
- "InfoWars is a Tin Foil Hat Conspiracy multimedia source. Alex Jones has become famous by selling fake stories and debunked claims to a large audience. There are simply too many crazy conspiracies to list and with that in mind, here are some of his more famous/infamous claims:
- The New World Order is run by Pedophiles (Pizzagate)
- 911 was an inside job
- San Bernardino False Flag
- Man-made Hurricanes and Tornadoes
- Mind Control Operations
- Editorially, Infowars presents with an extreme right wing bias with virtually all stories favoring the right and denigrating the left such as this: ADD ONE TO CLINTON BODY COUNT, JEFFREY EPSTEIN KILLED DURING SUICIDE WATCH. There obviously isn’t any evidence to support Infowars claim and hence why it is a conspiracy.
- Needless to say, a Factual Search reveals an incredible amount of failed fact checks. Below is a short list of the many failed facts racked up by Alex Jones of Infowars.
- Says explosive devices mailed to prominent Democrats and Trump critics confirm the “deep state (is) launching false flag against (mainstream media)/Dems to blame Trump & pro-America forces.” – FALSE
- Says there won’t be a recount in Alabama because a Democratic judge said “we’re going to erase all the computer files … on Wednesday morning.” – PANTS ON FIRE
- Emails show Democrats, Hillary Clinton and George Soros instigated and orchestrated racial protests in Charlottesville by trying to “control” and keep people “desperate.” – PANTS ON FIRE
- Says police officers smoke marijuana once a year as part of their jobs. – FALSE
- “Election fraud: Democrats are voting twice in Maryland” – PANTS ON FIRE
- Overall, InfoWars/Alex Jones is a crackpot, tin foil hat level conspiracy website that also strongly promotes pseudoscience. The amount of fake news and debunked conspiracy claims, as well as extreme right wing bias, renders InfoWars a non-credible source on any level
- There is no legitimate reason to read or repost information from Alex Jones. Jones is in the business of manipulating gullible people and is not a source of information.
- Same deal. Mike Adams is another lying piece of shit scumbucket, making money by inventing lies to harm strangers.
- MediaBias/FactCheck reports:
- Besides promoting pseudoscience, Natural News is an extreme right wing biased source that frequently promotes Donald Trump propaganda such as these:
- President Trump has a constitutional MANDATE to use the military to protect our southern border – Richard Sacks.
- This article is sourced to Natural News and Brighteon News, which we have never heard of. In this conspiracy story, there is zero evidence and hence why it is a conspiracy: CONFIRMED: Barack Obama was running the entire spygate operation that violated federal law to spy on Trump.campaign officials.
- In general, politically, all stories favor the right and promote pseudoscience such as chemtrails, the Sandy Hook shooting being a false flag: Sandy Hook: mind-control flicker effect.
- Lastly, this source denies the consensus on climate change without evidence as seen here: Climate change cultists are now taking over your local weather forecast.
- A factual search reveals that Natural News has failed too many fact checks to list here.
- Overall, we rate Natural News a Questionable source based on the promotion of quackery level pseudoscience and conspiracy theories, as well as extreme right-wing bias. This is one of the most discredited sources on the internet.
You should never read or cite any information from either source. Re-posting information from either site generally works to discredit you as a source of reliable information.
- i am saying this because liberals are saying there are crisis actor's.
- I very much doubt this. Can you give an example of some liberal opinion piece claiming crisis actors at Floyd protests.
- Conservatives conspriacy theorist say there are crisis actors. Mabey there are crisis actors.
- You acknowledge that they are conspiracy theorists in one sentence and then find them credible in the next sentence.
- Do you credit conspiracy theorists as more honest than conspiracy skeptics?
- I know alex took back those statements but he was getting sued over it.
- Yes, he lost that suit. He testified under oath that he made the whole thing up and he was required to pay half a million dollars to the father of one of the kids killed at Sandy Hook for the cruel additional harms he inflicted on that grieving family when he made up lies for money. He's been banned from YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Periscope, Pinterest, Instagram and Apple for attacking strangers with vicious lies and getting his gullible listeners to pay him for the fun of ganging up on his victims. What's amazing is that you seem to know the truth but don't seem to care.

Kubric, of course, is rather famous for rendering his works in deep ambiguity. He doesn't explain what is happening because he wants viewers to bring their own bias to the table. The fact that many people interpret the movie's future as apocalyptic while others interpret the epilogue as humanity's advent and that those opposite interpretations are supported by the work serves as one mark of masterpiece. I am a believer in show, don't tell in all artistic endeavors and I enjoy a movie that makes me come to the work rather than laying itself out carefully for my approval.
I disagree that the plot is difficult. In truth, I consider the plot fairly straightforward:
- ACT I: An alien artifact inspires a desperate troop of primates to use the first tool.
- ACT II: One million years later another alien artifact is discovered on the Moon, sending a signal towards Jupiter
- ACT III: 18 months later, 5 astronauts travelling to Jupiter experience catastrophic computer failure. One pilot survives to discover that their primary objective is actually to investigate another alien artifact in orbit.
- EPILOGUE: Approaching the artifact, the pilot disappears beyond some frontier surpassing human understanding of time and space. The final shot is the pilot as embryo, beholding the earth with new eyes.
It is not the plot that is difficult but the interpretation. Are the aliens well intentioned? Are tools and technology considered good or bad? Are humans up to the challenge of this new frontier? Beautifully, each viewer's interpretation of the narrative informs the choices before us,- future possibilities informed by present decision-making, making the movie a tribute to science-fiction itself.
