During the day the Gladiator can choose someone. Usually done in the same manner a daykill is, they can CHALLENGE <TARGET PLAYER>. All votes are reset. Only two players are now votable, the Gladiator and their target. It is almost always one-shot.
Variations
  • Sometimes the Gladiator can choose more than one person
  • Some mods give the Gladiator a time limit as to when they can use their power, like they cannot use their power past a midway point towards the deadline. (Imagine a 14 day deadline. They could not use their power past 7 days into the Day Phase)
  • Sometimes the Gladiator's ability cannot be used in Lylo.
Use and Power
The Gladiator is an amazingly strong role[disputed] and should be used sparingly or not outside Role Madness games. In the hands of a strong town player who is in good standing (or a town player that has been confirmed), it should almost always spell death for their opponent. However, the possibility is always there for the tables to be turned. As a scum role, it should be used very carefully, or with a lot of flair, depending on personal style.
History
The role was inspired by a unique game mechanic in Mortal Kombat Mafia[1]
There is also a similar mechanic in the High Noon setup.[2]

verytime I read an article staring vaccines are safe it just some bare assertion like
"Experts claim vaccine is safe, so therefore it is"
False, dangerous lie.

Of 338,000,000 vaccines administered thus far, doctors have seen less than 2,000 adverse outcomes- mostly allergic reactions but about 7 out of every 1,000,000 women <50 get blood clots. Of the 187,000,000 Americans vaccinated, 3 have died from blood clots and none from allergic reaction.

Put another way, for the average young American, you have better odds at becoming President of the United States than you do of dying from this vaccine.

It doesn't give their premises or anything, and then when I read some doctor explaining why vaccines will kill us in 5 years, the arguments are very deep, and explained throughly?
...and exclusively alarmist prognostication.  What responsible scientist in the world would predict death as an inevitable 5 year outcome of any treatment without any clinical data?  That is, no responsible scientist would make that claim without first waiting 5 years and  then recording massive die-offs.

Or even just a research scientists who disagrees that the young should be vaccinated is giving very through arguments, while proponents just say shit like "get the vaccine, the CDC said you should".
The CDC and FDA testing process is incredibly thorough and well documented, which is why the young have been so much slower t be approved.  You are simply reversing the obvious truth here.

At the very least the discrepancy of information by CNN on why vaccines are safe, vs research scientists and doctors on why it isn't should be alarming 
I don't know what you refer to and I'm not in the business of defending CCN's journalism but yes, responsible journalists trust the CDC as far more reliable than the fringe whack jobs you follow like Pied Piper.  Does Putin pay you to spread such lies or is it just your compulsive hatred for America that compels you?

A Vote Thief is a role that can target a player at Night to steal their vote during the following Day.
For balance reasons, Vote Thief is usually Town-aligned.
Use and Power
Town-aligned Vote Thieves can steal other players' votes. The only practical positive effect of this is to allow for "beyond ELo" play; situations such as "2 town 2 scum", which are normally an immediate loss for town, can still be winnable (if very difficult) if the Vote Thief repeatedly steals votes from scum to prevent them forcing a no elimination. Along similar lines, the role could potentially be used to bait scum into making quickhammers that won't actually work (although you will need to rely on some other townie to place someone at E-1).
The role can, however, have a nasty negative effect if the Vote Thief is killed during the Night, rendering one player Voteless during the next Day.
Scum-aligned Vote Thieves have one more vote to their faction's credit as long as the Vote Thief is alive. In order to balance this like in a normal game, this means the scum team has one fewer member than usual and gets hosed if the Vote Thief dies.

I will re-iterate that Earth's nickname is "The Lunatik"  perhaps inconsequential but in a game where the mod stated "This theme was the basis of my DDO username" having the same nickname as the moderator could be a thematic indicator.

you haven't said why a LD can't just check any statement that proves I'm town.
because the lie detector role, and similar functions, only operate on a true false basis.

When you say "something like x"  it could still conceal deception
when you just say "yes" to Pie's prompting, it can't be true/false'd

so- we are still waiting for Polyglot but of the 9 wincon's reported,

  • Earth has essentially refused to state his wincon
  • Supa duplicated DrBro's wincon last night but says today his wincon should read "you are team town"
  • Wylted's is interesting because it comes right after Earth says his wincon is something like "vanilla townie"   Earth comes back a few minutes later to correct it to "something like" vanilla town.  In the interval, wylted (who's been on all day but hasn't volunteered wincon before this) jumps in with a wincon that also says "townie"- "you are a townie who wins with town" redundant, a little flip, but also the only wincon using townie.  Is it possible that Wylted was trying to rescue Earth here, by adding another townie claim?  A few minutes later, Wylted is VTL'ing poly for not claiming although Earth's existing is manifestly more scummy
  • Whiteflame gets points for responding directly and quickly although he uses the most claim- which could have just been informed risk-taking.  Still, I am inclined to buy this wincon.
