Exactly.

We've had motorised personal transport for how long?

150 years approx.

And now life would be soooooo intolerable if we didn't have such a luxury.

Typical human behaviour I suppose.

People often forget to use their legs these days.

Atheism is simply one of the many ways that data can be organised and stored within an organic human computer.

Atheist is simply one of the many words that is used to describe a human organic structure....One that houses an organic computer and organises certain data in a particular way.

Belief is another set of organised data, often relative to the above organic systems and their variable sequencing and storing of data.

If you cannot understand the simplicity of the point is it worth me explaining?

Nonetheless:

People allude to the "State" as if it's some sort of separate entity.

When what they are actually alluding to is their dissatisfaction with their lowly position within a State, and their consequent  resentment of others who have attained a higher position.

People are born neither Jim nor David.

Whereas people are born either as a sperm producer (m).

Or an egg producer (f)

Though developmental anomalies will occur.

But not to be confused with the development of sociological anomalies.

Whether or not one wishes to be referred to as male, female or a banana, doesn't make a blind bit of difference to the base categorisation.

For sure.

I'm a firm believer in the idea that things will change appropriately, relative to social demand and availability. And social demand will slowly include the desire for sustainability, as old ideas die out and new ideas are transferred to the next generation.

But more importantly things will change, relative to the inevitability of material evolution. The process of everything, if you like.

We don't really need a miraculous breakthrough.

What we require is common sense over profit.....Yep I know, that's asking a lot.

The SUN bombards with 174 quadrillion watts of energy every day.....More than enough.

As a species we've developed a temporary obsession with fossil fuels, relative to our obsessive social need for energy, all relative to material evolution.

Petrol heads will soon become extinct, I guess.

Men developed GOD as a naive explanation for what they couldn't understand.

Some people still use the concept thus.

Data transfer and storage is a persistent human ability, and continually effects how we function as a social species.

In this respect, the intellectual difference between you and I, was founded in  how we were brainwashed/programmed as infants.

GOD necessary/no GOD necessary.

Ergo........Theist/Atheist.

I agree.

I'm 62 years of age, and I don't expect that my social niche will change.

By virtue of birth and upbringing, I am far more fortunate than a lot of my fellow earthlings.

I am content with the way things are.

I would suggest that the super-rich are no more content than I am.

There's only so much spare time in a day to be spent doing fun stuff, and I would be bored to tears floating about on a super-yacht all day.

Though I wonder how much time the super-rich get to spend on their super-yachts.

If it was intended as a continuous  proclamation, then on would have been an appropriate inclusion.

So the comma is best, otherwise we would have "flared with passion bearing witness of one accord".

As it is, we know that our beings flared with passion.

And we also know why our beings flared with passion.

Converting external signalling into internal data assessment outcomes, is manipulation of a primary source.....Therefore a simulation of what we assume to be real and accurate incoming  information.

Did I refer to "non-simulation"?........I will have to check back.....Though relative to the self, maybe self awareness could be regarded as non-simulation.

Interesting though.....Is  self awareness simply a state of being, that requires no cognitive effort?

Why is "external" messaging relevant why is it even rational.
Well, being completely solipsistic.

"Rational" is what we individually conclude I suppose.

And external messaging is how we relate our awareness to something.

Well I don't think that is regionally unusual even today.

So if we consider life expectancy 2000 years ago, coupled with probably no firm legal requirements. Then I think that it's fair to suggest that age was no limitation to sexual activity.

Mary of latter day picture book depiction is somewhat misleading.

By todays Western standards, GOD was a slick Arabian pedo.....Interesting that people still worship him then.

-->
@Tradesecret
To be honest, on second reading not confusing at all.

Because a GOD concept is just that, and is only bounded by the limits of human imagination.

So GOD is a person then?.....As I thought....An imaginary person who multitasks.....Omni as it were.

And Jesus may or may not have been real...And if he was, we have know way of knowing who is real dad was, maybe it was daft Joe, but I'm guessing it was some slick Arab.  But he certainly wasn't his own dad.

And if I remember correctly, said biblical character never fathered any children.....In fact, one could  propose that given the characters behaviour, the biblical authors were probably hinting at a sort of LGBT scenario. Especially given that the bible is rife with sexual metaphors.

Interesting how humans acquired intellect and then overthought procreational urgency.

As for holy spirit....Gin, whiskey, vodka or goose-bumps.....Take your pick.

So:

GOD the Arabian lothario.

GOD the son of someone, obviously.

And GOD the one that gave Mary goose-bumps.

The trinity in a nutshell.

My imaginative  interpretation of the biblical mythology, which may differ from your imaginative interpretation of the biblical mythology.

Why would "totality" be expanded beyond the internal data manipulations and simulations of said organisms?
I think that is what I was asking you.

Though I think that is what we think we do.

It's a perplexing dilemma......To be reasonably certain that we do actually participate in a universe.....Whilst at the same time being aware that the outcomes of sensory perception only provides us with a simulated account of what we are certain is real.

Define "fact".
Good point.

One might suggest that within the above context, at best a fact is something we are reasonably certain of, relative to awareness  of our existence and our ability to presumably simulate an accurate account of external messaging.

For example.....One looks and one sees, and one is reasonably certain that what one sees is accurate and real.

You are as much the State as anything else is.

How or where you find a niche within a State is down to you and your inherent ability.

You may conclude that other individuals have achieved a higher position within a State, and therefore you might feel resentful or jealous.

But I would suggest that others simply adapt to, and take advantage of, a position relative to their inherent ability.

Me....I have a comparatively lowly niche within the British State, but I am nonetheless quite content.

High status does not necessarily come with contentment.

Are fictional universes a part of our universe? Yes, fictional universes are part of everything/totality.

Within the context of everything and totality, when is a part, fictional/simulated or otherwise, not a fact?

Is not internal data manipulation and simulation, in fact the extent of an organisms totality?

Prayer.

Utilising one's ability to either visually input and repeat data,  or recall stored data and convert it into a narrative, either internally or projected externally as sound.

Something that humans sometimes attribute temporary significance to.......A bit like ordering a meal from a Chinese restaurant.

Or like the above discussion, in fact.

And then do something else, and forget about the prayer, or digest the fried rice.

Humans are brilliant at doing stuff.

And if temporary satisfaction is gained peaceably from any recreational activity such as praying, eating Chinese style food with friends, debating or watching  pornography, then who is to criticize.

Though criticizing others,  is yet another example of how humans acquire satisfaction from their ability to store and recall complex data.

So in all sincerity......Enjoy your praying and your debating and your meal and your porn video.

Yep.

Why didn't Mr Omni get it right in the first place.

Though if you think about it, the necessity of heaven is a direct result of sin.

So no sin, no heaven required.

So heaven was clearly Mr Omni's secondary consideration, relative to the realisation of his initial blunder.

Creating ordinary folk with dual purpose systems, as it were.

Though why create protruding milk producing mammary gear and all the other internal procreational stuff?

And  Mr Omni then comes along a few thousand years later and f**ks a virgin.

So sin eventually got the better of Mr Perfect too.

Let's face it, sin is all about bonking.

So create the means to sin, then expect the sin Mr Hypocritical.

Though:
Just proposing a reasonable alternative, to the myths, legends and tall stories option....Perhaps it was all made up by a few blokes, a few thousand years ago.

Most people are ordinary.

Two arms, two legs and a head type of thing.

Most with the internal ability to interpret an old narrative any way that they choose.

As exemplified above.

One would have hoped that the U.S. was suitably civilised now, whereby gangs of armed ordinary folk were an unnecessary requirement.

Though maybe paranoia is still socially inherent....It would seem that way.

And of course there is also the pseudo-sexual attraction of handling and discharging lethal weaponry to consider.

I doubt that the "framers" gave much thought to the psychological instability of "ordinary people" under intense emotional pressure.

Is mathematics always representative of reality?

So can parts diminish infinitely so that there is always one part remaining.....Provocatively we can call it the GOD PART if you like.

Or are you saying that ultimately parts cease to exist......Therefore potential is in fact, finite.

To know the answer might explain something.

Though I suppose that fractionally a part is always one part.

So what we are questioning, is can a part be fractionally reduced to a finite point of non-existence.

If not then .9 recurring will never equal 1, because as I stated previously there will always be one part.

AH!......Is that what you are saying?

This is What Consciousness is:

@Intelligence_06
Consciousness is a physiological state, as I described above.....An energized organic computer.

All brain generated imagery is a conversion of external data such as light and sound, into a mental picture or noise.

Other sensory responses also occur which are assessed and utilised in the same way.

As such we always simulate an external reality, and reasonably  assume that what we simulate is accurate.

For sure, the organic computer is an amazing piece of kit.....When it's switched on.
