Define a universe in your own words
-->
@3RU7AL
Dimensions are merely a concept inspired by human necessity.

If there is no observer, then there is nothing to be observed.

So a universe is simply a representation of time space and matter, created within and transferred from, one organic computer to another organic computer. Perhaps utilising an inorganic computer or some other medium of data transfer.

Light and sound waves become electro-chemical signals which are converted into internal imagery.

So actually, our universe is always a simulation.

And the dimensions of our brains are sort of small melon sized.

Of course a small melon is also always a simulation.

Was that from 1 to 2.

And I like the term "wedge issues".....Does that mean what I think it does?

And trans-men in women's bathrooms seems a tad hypocritical.....Though I suppose that might depend on whether they can piss standing up.

Notice that one used the they pronoun, so as not to offend.

Notice that I used the one pronoun, so as not to offend myself.

I am slowly getting the hang of this gender thing.....(No pun or double-entendre intended).

Prediction with hindsight is saying I told you so when you already know.

Whether or not lockdowns were too long is really a decision for politicians, taking into account all relative issues, including economics.

I personally think (from a U.K. perspective), that decisions were correct and recovery was good.

And as I stated, I agree that an astute pessimist could have made a strong prediction in the run up to the Russia Ukraine crisis.

Just observations.

Gender is fast becoming the new religion.

Light entertainment is certainly now the realm of biodiversity.

And heterosexuality is fast becoming the new perversion.....Unless it's ethnically diverse of course.

Advertising is currently very keen on the stereotypical butch/femme L couple (not aggressive looking  butch fatties though, but more of a stylised hair and clothing thing), for promoting  progressive lifestyle commodities. Also with quite a strong emphasis on ethnic diversity.

And the above, may only apply locally to Western Liberal style societies.

Be diverse, have fun.

Well obviously it would have been foolish to think that the Covid pandemic wouldn't affect  National and  Global economies.

But as I sated previously, we can all predict relative inflation with hindsight.

OK. So history should tell us to expect periods of global instability. But I 'm not sure how precisely we can predict such events.

Of course, it might all be one big global conspiracy.

I reckon God didn't see me steal it.

Shit Deb.

This guy's omni for f**ks sake.

It's eternity in the wilderness for you buddy.

Your sister will be OK if she's still pure, if you get my drift....Any chance?

Because we know for certain that the big fella goes a bundle on purity.

Well only female purity as far as I know.

Not sure about all the other millions of genders kicking about these days.

Though for sure, Catholics go a bundle on choir boys.....Not really sure how that works out on judgement day either.

So you might be kicking about the wilderness with assorted dictators, other ne'er do wells and defrocked Fathers.....And all the rest who failed the test.

Most folk really.

Because heaven only fits 144000, or so I'm told.

Whereas infinite wilderness fits an infinite number of sinners.

Crazy but true hey?

And then there's the singing.....So make sure you die with cotton wool in your ears.

And I doubt that you'll need cash.

I'm assuming that souls simply absorb all their requirements from the atmosphere.

No worries then Deb....I'll see you in the infinite wilderness one day perhaps.

I'll be wearing a label that says Zed.

Though not sure how the concept of days pans out in the infinite wilderness.

Might be just one big endless existence.

I expect that heaven central is structured around daily worship and singing..........Which to be honest.......Sounds like HELL to me.

Will always be one part short of a whole.

1/10, 1/100, 1/1000, 1/10000 etc. etc. etc.

Interestingly:

Decimally one cannot cut a cake into three equal slices.

Whereas fractionally one can cut a cake into three equal slices.

Thirds as it were.

So if you are sharing a cake with two other people, always demand a third, rather than a decimal slice.

Nope.

I've peeped.

And it is all hats and Sunday best and tall stories.

Though the storyteller tries to be a tad more serious in big church, with a lot more references to sin, and a lot less tales of big boats and fish suppers.

Never saw any actual sacrificial calves or lambs.

Or blood.

But anyone that saw through the theo-political infant brainwashing, was a smart cookie in my book.

Economics is like monetary philosophy.

A lot of  specialist waffle, for those that indulge in the practice

Nonetheless, in the long term inflation can always be predicted to fluctuate, which is obvious....Though inflate it will, relative to it's cause..... And after the event pseudo-economists will say I told you so....Especially if they have a political axe to grind.

And ok so in fairness, I do suppose that any pessimist with an eye for geopolitical affairs could have predicted the recent global surge in inflation.

Optimists might have been more hopeful.

So, let's put you all to the test.

Geopolitically can you predict what will happen in the next 5 years?

And factoring in the next election also.

How will this effect U.S. domestic fiscal planning and outcomes?

Ok.

So we are a extra-thinking species.

But procreational drive itself doesn't require thought.

Thought modifies recreational possibilities over time, thereby the organism learns to contradict itself.

All becomes real enough though.

And paedophilia and transgenderism are all varieties that stem from the same basic requirement.

The evolutionary inevitability of species evolution I suppose.

If it hadn't been us, it might have been a sentient carrot experiencing all this psychological trauma.

Especially as my Dad was a fundamentalist atheist.

Sunday school was, getting the kids from under their feet for a few hours.

One can only guess why.

Not sure about fingers, but I guess so.

Anyway, they used to talk about Jesussy stuff and I would draw aeroplanes.

And for sure, big church was a no no.

Loved the churchyard though, many hours of fun playing there.

That must be why GOD designed grave stones.

Device addicts are just about at that point anyway. (Let's be fair, device addiction is the new normal).

And I never did get the French language, with all those m and f words.

Though in terms of pronouns and in all seriousness:

Referring to One singular and They plural is quite an old convention.

And satirically, does away with all that needless under the trousers/skirt confusion.

And speaking of  gender neutral non-presumptive dress code. Perhaps we should all wear green Burkas...But definitely not pink or blue, as that would be seen as  far too provocative and/or offensive.......And in all seriousness once again, non-verbal communication is just as definitive as pronouns are.

Base reality is that which isn't latterly conceived.

I'm basically attempting to distinguish between what is and isn't made up.

Though as I stated, all becomes real in application.

So one contradiction is the difference between that which is made up and that which isn't made up.

In terms of sexuality, the base reality would be the procreational drive.

How we apply said instinct varies greatly, relative to a whole gamut of ongoing physiological and social pressures.

And also, how we apply Law to said instinct is affected in the same way by ongoing social pressures.

(Physiological pressures  are a separately contentious moot point.)

Nonetheless, in terms of base reality, nothing is actually right or wrong.

Right and wrong are concepts that may or may not have become established socially , but certainly not globally standardised, and also modified greatly over time.

The two issues that you refer to, are obvious examples of how social acceptability has modified and therefore contradicted itself over a relatively short period of time.

What is socially  right and wrong for Athias now, would probably not have been right and wrong for Athias's forebears a few hundred years ago.

Nor will it be for Athias's descendants a few hundred years from now.

Are we not programmed?

Reasonably so I suppose, but you are still finding it difficult to separate the human from the Alternative Intelligence.

I'm pretty sure that eventually Another Intelligence, wholly independent of it's initiators, will evolve.

As for reproducing/mimicking sounds, I would suggest that independent organic organisms do just that.

Essentially inputting, assessing and outputting data, utilising an onboard electrochemically powered organic computer, to recreate and output sound.

Not a million miles away from an onboard electrically/chemically powered inorganic/hybrid computer doing the same.

The future is out there, and can only be guessed at.

And complexities of sound which we are subject to/input, and might or might not decide to regard as music or music  of a certain genre, are just  evolved  and established variable data analysis programmes.

Variable by of virtue of species evolution, though technological globalisation has resulted in a more eclectic appreciation of sound as music.

OK.

But as I see it A.I. is independent intelligence.

So to write a code to mimic, is to programme........And therefore, neither intelligent in it's own right, nor independent.

I was questioning whether a wholly independently evolved technological A.I. would regard variable sound waves as music either pleasant or unpleasant, or just as another electronic signal to be logically interpreted.

And music to ones ears is sound, which we then convert to noise.....Which for sure, we may or may not regard as music.

Nonetheless, a humans basic appreciation of musical sound, is no more or less this process.

Time/line is infinite.

Backwards anyway.

Though now, now, now, now, now, now, etc.

Is located at the front.

And hominids closely followed by GODS and cash,

Given the infinite state of backwardsness,

Are not perceivably, not at the point of now.

Though for the purposes of demonstration,

And representatively only,

One Could draw the longest line that one could fit onto a black/white/multi-ethnic board,

And place the latter (hominids, GODS and cash) approximately 50mm behind the former (now).

And if one was really clever ,

One could leave a gap at the front,

And every ten thousand years or so,

Increase the length of the line by 1mm.

Is 10% of infinity,

Infinitely 10%?

So you can unequivocally prove this then?

Everything that begins to exist needs a cause for it's beginning.
Ooops......All except a GOD.....Your GOD that is....Very convenient.

Which I'm assuming is the Christian GOD.....That began only 2000 and a bit years ago.......A few billion years after the Universe began.

Ummmm.....Something doesn't quite add up there, does it?

Sounds like the same old same old, non-sensical, fundamentalist Christian argument. The one that refuses to accept, that science trumps folk tales when it comes to explaining Universal history.

Not that anyone can satisfactorily explain a Universal beginning.

It was a GOD what did it......Well, we can refer to a moment of creation as anything I suppose....Call it BOOM or call it GOD or call it ALAN or call it KYLIE.

Which is not to say that everything is not real.

Which of course, doesn't always work for everyone though.

Whereby we end up with glaring contradictions.
