@imdancin
Well therein lies a debate.
We can propose variable interpretations of "faith".
So let's just start by comparing acceptance of the supernatural, with acceptance of known fact only....We can apply faith to both....But this doesn't make GODS real. But does give me high level of assurance, that the Sun will rise in the morning.

Undergo a preparatory dynamic.
Love that expression.
For sure, gullibility is a human trait, as is manipulation.....And within a typical "Western" social context, I obviously know what you are referring to.
Though the reality of such issues has a split personality.....There's the base reality and the socially contrived reality.....A lengthy and controversial discussion perhaps.
And with such ease of accessibility through social media, we have this absurd social dichotomy......Here's the child/ but do not touch the child.
Very much like the U.S. school shooting thing...... Come on kids and play with the guns/but don't point and pull the trigger.
It does seem that social and technological progress, will always come at a cost.....And to coin a much loved phrase, we always tend to try and shut the stable door after the horse has bolted.....And let's be honest, as far as these two issues are concerned, there is huge opposition to even trying to shut the stable door.
So in the end we just have to live with inherent problems of progress.....And just moan about it.....If we want our kids to be able to shut themselves in their rooms and spend hours undergoing preparatory dynamics with whomsoever, then don't forget the downside of freedom.
Not that I consider modern addiction to electronic information devices, as freedom.
And until we start genetically editing humanity....There will always be the groomers and the groomed.
What say you?

"Thee and me."
Funny how some people think that they are completely separate from the system that they are inextricably a part of.
Overthink, me thinks.
Left, right and centre baloney.

Art is an appreciable assumption.
Altering our environment is also appreciable.
Thinking as it were.
And 2+2 "equals" 4 within the context of an appreciable mathematical system.
And as I stated....The cause celebre, became an appreciable demonstration of performance art in it's own right.
So bravo to the cake throwing transvestite in the wheelchair.

Good morning, or what ever time of day it is where you are.
Well, whenever I hear the word grooming, I always think of pampered pooches. in pink parlours.
Or hirsute men having their moustaches and sideburns trimmed.

Suffering is needless and unnecessary for the integrity of free will.
Or:
Suffering is, and free will is the assumption of a programmed but sentient organism.
Guff or counter-guff.......Take your pick.

@n8nrgim
@Poly
As far as we know there is no such thing as a GOD/S with purposes.....That just remains a wild/romantic, assumption/fancy.
Suffering is simply the inevitability and consequent appreciation of physiological stress and decline.
"The pointless ramblings of mere men" (and women), comes up with all sorts of guff.
Though within it's own human context there is always some sort of point to what we do.
Composing guff is a good mental exercise........As is composing counter-guff.

It's what it all boils down to.
When it comes to the reproduction of the species, we have developed this curious habit of beating around the bush.....No pun intended.
"Sexual manipulation and coercive undertones" as it were.
Think and overthink....It's the human condition I suppose.

All a/theistic arguments tend to be knockdown.

Firstly, one would hope that all Americans are democratic.
Secondly those that subscribe to a political party named for democrats, would have undoubtedly voted for them.
Just as those who subscribe to a political party named for conservatism, would undoubtedly have voted for them.
As ever you forget that the silent majority of American voters, do not choose to wear such labels.
And when push came to shove and a choice between an Orange Clown and the very old but wiser guy....The silent majority decided that aged wisdom was preferable to tanned foolishness.
So we await the next Presidential circus with bated breath, as William Shakespeare would have said.

Well, how big is a mythical Giant?
So, mythical sparks and mythical tinder.
Or maybe Giants just harvested lava from volcanoes.
Anything is possible in fantasy land.
In my fantasy world, Lemmings wear stripy T-shirts and pink shorts and build space rockets for Unicorns.
Comparing fantasy with fact is a tad futile.

A Giant would have normal sized giant fingers and eyes, and craft stuff relative to it's dexterity.
Whereas a Giant would think that we had tiny fingers and eyes.
Just like a Lemming thinks that we are huge.

So measures hey, Big Bro and Big Sis.
Measures to curb freedom of speech, freedom of expression and freedom of information.
If you're not interested in alternative opinions and contentious discourse, then don't bother to read it.
Though better still, why bother to subscribe to a debate and discussion website in the first place.
Just go to church, if all you want to do is whisper sweet religious nothings in each others ears.

Firstly you need to prove that people have free will.
Well actually, firstly best to conclusively establish what you mean by GOD.
And then secondly or thirdly, when you have conclusively established what you mean by GOD, you will then need to prove that what you have conclusively established to be GOD, is not a load of baloney.
And then fourth, it would also be prudent to prove that sin is more than just a variable concept.
And when you say all people in the C1, are you referring to a Citroen C1?.....A popular small four seater....Five at a squeeze.

Your first sentence doesn't make sense.
And your second sentence, just emphasises the extent of the gun problem in the U.S.
And you're currently hung upon 3D printing.
Hmmmmmmm.......Not much else one can say about that.
Other than, the upside of technological advancement in any field, tends to also come with a downside.

The current topic is guns....And the availability and indiscriminate use of.
So I make contributory comments relative to that subject.
Population management is a separate issue......One which I would also be happy to comment on within an appropriate context.

Other than U.S. citizens have a tendency to fire guns at each other.
The reality is, if neither Man A nor Woman B had a gun, no one would have got shot.

Shooting the shooter once they have started shooting.
Shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted, as it were.
Fine...But you've already got a pile of dead kids and no horse.
Far better to have shut the door and not sold two assault rifles to an 18 year old youth in the first place.

Had a quick look on line but couldn't find a definitive answer.
But was amazed at how many there had been in the last 50 years.
Charles Whitman in 1966 was the earliest one that I found.
And also amazed to read that there had been 27 school shootings in 2022 alone.

And Mary certainly knew who the lothario with the big dick was.
I think that his name was Gerald.
Or GED for short.
AKA GED the donkey.
Typically things got lost in translation.
And we ended up with GOD,
And Mary riding a donkey.
And when she told stupid Joe.
His response was.
JESUS CHRIST!

Deconstruct Music.
And you simply have a sequence of variable sounds.
Which may or may not inspire a positive internal reaction from a sentient receiver.
So, I firmly accept the idea that Alternative Intelligence could become dominant.
But whether or not A.I. would process, interpret and respond to composed sound in the same way that humans do, is a question for Mr Spock.

Spirituality is a personal internal physiological reaction to an external stimulus.
That is to say, that spirituality is self generated.
Just as subsequent reasoning is an internal self generated process.
That is to say, that we make up fanciful reasons for why we occasionally feel spiritual.
Which is all good harmless fun.......Said the pilot just before he hit the tower.

@3RU7AL
The cause is dumbass gun laws.
@Poly.
And the dumbass argument that most gun owners don't hurt people, is irrelevant.
Because some gun owners do.
The argument is...Is the unregulated public ownership of sophisticated killing equipment, necessary in a civilised society.
And the answer is obviously YES....There's 70billion reasons why it's necessary.
And none of those reasons has anything to do with interest in public safety.

Faith and belief are both assumptions in the absence of factual data.
If someone points a gun at you and then shoots. Would you accept their explanation, that they had faith that the bullet would turn to fairy dust?
Yet we are expected to accept out of hand a persons faith/belief in a supernatural floaty about creation guy.

@3RU7AL
If one fulfils the required criteria for driving, then it is a right.
Same for gun ownership.
Same as any other democratically administered social privilege.
Though in the U.S. there are seemingly no real requirements necessary, for acquiring a remote killing device. (Which is essentially the purpose of a rifle)
Whereas one must at least, pass a driving test. (I assume this is the same in the U.S.) Where the purpose is essentially to get from A to B without having to expend a great amount of energy.
Though dickheads will be dickheads.....But tend to be the ones that end up causing social problems.
So if it is a sacrosanct right that dickheads should be able to own a remote killing device, then so be it.
But let's be perfectly honest, why does a youth untrained in the use and mental responsibilities of gun ownership, need two assault rifles.
And don't give me the old amended archaic constitutional BS.....Just reamend it and update it.

Yep.....Evolution is slow but nonetheless progressive.
Old people die and old ideas gradually die with them.
New people are born and invested with modified data,
Technologically inspired,
Reaching out globally.
Though some of the old stuff will always persist.
Like assault rifles are a very safe toy to sell to immature 18 year olds.
But hey ho, 20 dead out of 7.9 billion.
What's to worry about.
Move on.

How about get big money out of politics first.
Nice idea, but blood and stones spring to mind.
Because there is a reason why those on welfare, don't run Countries.
And there is also a reason why the poor persons vote is essential to a liberal democracy.
Sort of emphasises the difference between "Western" and Sino-Russian political systems.
Even though wealth and power are still inevitably synonymous.
Socialist utopias neither exist, nor work, because everyone is not equal.
