Just out of interest:

When did you last visit the EU or Africa?

Yep...I agree in principle.

Though atheist is really just the antithesis of theist......Floaty about Goddist or not, as it were.....

We also don't really fall under the agnostic umbrella either.

Simulation for sure, but who or what is the projector.....We're sort of back to a form of Goddism with that one.

I'm sort of a:

A Nist for short, perhaps.

So I put forward Nism as an alternative suggestion.

My latest thoughts on gender roles
-->
@secularmerlin
There is a basic undeniable reality which you attempt to avoid.

And the there are socially contrived realities which you selectively utilise as justification for something.

Such are the available possibilities.

And we are fortunate to live in reasonably liberal societies, wherein we can discuss such things freely and openly.....And long may that continue to be the case..

Though the fact that you continually need to justify something, does indicate that you continually need to justify something.

I personally am not being judgemental, it's just that I like to firstly try and understand the base reality of the human condition..

What hormone is responsible for dick production?
-->
@TheUnderdog
I would suggest that body formation is primarily determined by genetics.

The endocrine system being one such development.

And arms don't grow as such, the develop as an intrinsic part of  the whole.

Though that is certainly not to say that limb regrowth and "dick" production will never be a possibility.

What is a man or woman?
-->
@3RU7AL
Who owns words?
For sure.....Who owns anything?

Though if that was the accepted  standard we lived by, then every aspect of social interaction would  inevitably always be rendered to confusion and non-sense.

Because any word could mean anything, relative to the whim and necessity of the user.

"Who owns words" could mean Bom Shakka Lak, should that be my necessity and whim.

So we have a dictionary standard of words and their definitions.

My point was, that dictionaries have been latterly adjusted without any real consensus, to accommodate the necessity and whims of a minority lobby.

What is the definition of a women?
-->
@secularmerlin
A man that lives as a woman is a cosmetic yet socially realistic contradiction of a biologically unrealistic proposition.

So there's Male Female and Other.....And then there are the variety of things that people do to fulfil the innate desire to reproduce.

All within the context of social acceptance, expectation and possibility.

All fine by me.

How Do You Know The Bible Is True?
-->
@Conservallectual
Mythology and folktales will undoubtedly contain elements of factual information.

But will also contain elements of fantastic supernatural speculation.

So there was this guy in this place.....Perhaps true.

And then there was this guy with this huge boat full of every animal imaginable and the entire earth was flooded.......Probably untrue.

So there was this guy with a very small boat who rescued a few goats when the river flooded after some heavy rain.....And exaggerate.......More likely.

None of which proves the existence of an actual humanesque type GOD......Though who else could you blame back in the day.....Not sure if global warming or the industrial revolution had been invented.

So is the bible true?....Well, if you've got a little black book by the side of your bed, then who can deny you that.

Pro-noun.....Another word hijacked by sexual variantists, and rightly or wrongly redefined and submitted to and accepted by, lexicographical officialdom

Nonetheless an internal electro-chemical response converted to sound waves, received and converted back to electro-chemical data.

Or maybe represented in some other form of symbolic narrative.

@Bones
Same old s**t Mr Bones.

Everyone knows the real difference between a complete functionally reproductive  man and a complete functionally reproductive  woman.

Out of 7.9 billion organisms there will undoubtedly be exceptions to the norm.

Some people make a song and dance about the exceptions.....Which I suppose, in a just society is the right and proper thing to do.

Though I would suggest that to accommodate such concerns, it would be better to officially adopt a new moderate tri-gender approach.

Male

Female

Other.

We could then drop the controversial multi gender LGBTQetc acronym....And simpy replace it with MFO.

In fact just O would be a more accurate representation of the facts.

The L,G and B recreational variants, would simply come under the MF umbrella.

As I stated, there is a distinction to be made between absolute trust and working trust.....You seemed to have missed this.

You are basically referring to cooperation and the level of trust which that involves.

But history shows us that allegiances can quickly shift....Temporary trust is readily dismissed.

Temporary working trust comes with a plethora of conditions that need to be maintained.

Whereas absolute trust is unconditional.

Perhaps the precursor should be: (If I understand the proposition correctly)

The primary claim must first be scientifically proven.

That's assuming:

A. is claiming and B. is attacking and you are resting the burden of proof upon B's shoulders.

Though from your statement it's not easy to make out, who is making  what/which claim, and who should be substantiating what/which claim.

Or is this just a roundabout way of saying :

If T claims G then A must disprove G.

Is it possible to oppose transgenderism as a solution to gender dysphoria and not be 'transphobic'?

Primarily genetics and hormones...And attitudes and ideas.

So genetic inheritance coupled with acquired information.

I couldn't disagree....As I don't know if a loathing gene as ever been identified.

And hormonal effects, not necessarily inherent, but maybe also environmental....I can also run with that idea.

Is this any different.
I would suggest that our sensory ability allows us to perceive which provides the basis of imagination.

Or are you suggesting that external reality is merely a concept?.....Not that I would whole heartedly disagree.

As all incoming is converted to basically the same......Though I still think that there is a distinction to be made.

So arguments.
I would further suggest that metaphysical objectivity is a contradiction of terms....In terms of, when is a thought process not a thought process?

And thought processes can be regarded as practical or not, in so much as they can provide satisfaction, without necessarily needing to provide a realistic outcome.

That's more cultural.
Fair enough.

What is a man or woman?

@secularmerlin
You are describing developmental anomalies, that fall outside the general classifications of male and female.

There are approximately 140 million new organisms produced annually.

Therefore a certain amount of  developmental anomalies relating to gender are to be expected.

Just as there will be other types of developmental anomalies.

As described above. The male/man produces sperm and the female/woman produces ova.

Is there a corollary betweens transgender people and getting older?
-->
@secularmerlin
How are you using the word corollary?

All people will age, that is inherent programming.

Awareness of and consequent concerns and responses  relating to aging. Are relative to inherent mortal awareness and acquired social expectations.

Therefore as R.M points out....If you are drawing comparisons between the issues of aging and transgenderism, you may well be shooting the pro-trans argument in the foot slightly.

That is to say........One is aware of aging, so one chooses to address the effects of aging.

                                     One  is aware of gender dysphoria, so one chooses to address  the effects of gender dysphoria.

Therefore.............One is also aware of gender, and chooses to address the effects of gender.

Grim Reaper Paradoxes and Causal Finitism
-->
@TheMorningsStar
I do take this seriously.

We have two unanswerable options which I  do not regard as a paradox.

We have had two unanswerable options for "centuries".

And the application of thought (philosophy) has pondered such unanswerable options for "centuries".....To no avail.

Therefore are Pruss and Koon just pointlessly p*****G into the same wind, basically for their own sakes and the sake of Academic Philosophy?

Though as I see it, the two unanswerable options are ultimately one unanswerable question.

Out of which two schools of thought have arisen.

So what is your personal hypothesis?

Or are you just here to extol the virtues of Pruss, Koon et al?

And it you think about it, your current situation, throws up two similar options, which your Doctor refers to as likelihood.

Though unfortunately the question isn't unanswerable, and your Doctor doesn't benefit from Pruss and Koons Infinite/finite safety in abstract thought.

I wish you all the best.

Genuine Question for right-wing people regarding the handling of the poor that need food banks.
-->
@ADreamOfLiberty
Greyparrot displays resentment in their rhetoric.

And a Tax Office is staffed and managed by a hierarchy of individuals who fulfil a role relative to their ability.

Though "Tax Offices" are only one basic administrative part of a greater organisation that manages and maintains Statehood.

And you attempted to elevate the emotive argument with the inclusion of the word "superior" thereby implying the word inferior.

Though superiority does accurately represent the ascending scale of social hierarchy and ability, it nonetheless is not demonstrably accurate to suggest that there is an alternative "breed of men".

I'm surprised at you. Paedophiles do not choose their sexuality as assigned at birth, so they have no control over whether or not they agree with that decision.

Exactly the same argument based upon supposition relative to social and political acceptability.

Though most people would disagree, simple relative to current social and political acceptability.

None of which, in any way alters the fact that to transition is a choice between transitioning or not.

And I could soon compile an extensive list of similarly controversial examples, whereby one could absolve people of their social sins, simply by applying your emotive argument.....They were born like that, therefore it was not their decision.

No one chooses to be born.....One just has to live with it, commit suicide, or wreak vengeance upon ones parents........Choices Choices Choices.

Genuine Question for right-wing people regarding the handling of the poor that need food banks.

You're conflating the issues of the necessity of government, and the status and behaviour of individuals within the social hierarchy.

Remove one "greedy" government, and as sure as eggs is eggs you will replace it with another "greedy" government.

As the saying goes, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The difference being that you can freely  make the comments that you do, and criticize your government as you do.

The reality is that you achieve relative to your ability, and are resentful of those who possess a greater ability to achieve more than you.

Better to find and be content with your social niche.

But in fairness, it did take me a while to come to, and be satisfied with this conclusion.

I blame testosterone.
