One can SAY anything.

That's the beauty of language.

A fraction will remain a mathematical concept, unless it can be perceived as individual parts.

As I demonstrated.

A length of timber cut in HALF....Becomes 2 individual parts.....So convert back to a concept  and 0.5 + 0.5 can = 1 and  2.

That's the beauty of internal data manipulation.

@Bones
So for as long as the gene pool is expanded, then abortion is not necessarily counter-productive.

The moral argument isn't about procreation.

The moral argument is about the moral argument.....Often relative to a hypothetical, super-natural concept.

Well, we know that it creates detectable waves.

Just requires a detector, that can also convert waves into appreciable sound.

Just as a detector can convert light into appreciable objects.

But we also know that a rock can be broken down into a million pieces

So we can also SAY  that a million = 1.....And therefore 3million+3million = 6

So if the universe was void of life and knowledge......Then what?

Physics.

OK...So physics is a broad label we can variously apply.

But generally means the human internal appreciation of external events and their causes.

We do not know how matter was caused.

Current best answer is magic, rather than physics.

Same principles apply to GODS.

Humans are such that they are not equal, hence hierarchy will inevitably develop.

So the exploitation of this natural system is how things get done.

From hunter gathering to computer technology, someone has always led the way and the rest have followed in order of diminishing ability and responsibility.

Rewards will inevitably be commensurate.

Religious baloney or truth.

Your call.

And my call too.

The gospel according to Zed.

Inherent sexual desire is the stimulus for procreation.

Half an hours fun in the sack with whosoever is the derived consequence.

And if a GOD actually is in charge, the it's all GODS bidding.

The cumming of GOD as it were.

Hierarchy is how things naturally work.

"Exploiting the workers".....Is a plea to the emotions.

Without hierarchy, nothing would get done.

Why doesn't everyone start up their own business?

Yes.

But is there really a gay gene?

Or is it just a case of a tendency to enjoy recreational sex, without the socially conditioned restrictions.

The needs and the short term satisfaction from sexual activity, are the same however one chooses to behave.

Getting married to your same sex, sex partner, and living together,  with a nice new fitted kitchen, and a fancy puppy, is just the new acceptable trend.

Doesn't alter the fact that if you want a child, someone somewhere has got to impregnate an egg with a sperm.

Math is a construct that conforms to a basic set of rules....Ergo 1+1 = 2

Though as I demonstrated, by using an associated narrative we can easily represent numbers differently, and modify the rules.

So it was confirmed by sum1hugme, that half a length of timber was also 1 length of timber.....Ergo 0.5+0.5 can also be said to equal 2.

Nonetheless:

Math is in the head of the mathematician.

Without the head of the mathematician, things just occur as they do.

@bmdrocks21
Democracy will only work if the electorate and those up for election, are prepared to abide by the democratic decision.

And the democratic decision will only be accurately representative if the democratic process is democratic.

But no matter how flawed the U.S. electoral system might be, and how polarised U.S. society might be......What is the alternative?

Reforming the system would certainly help.

And whether or not the American public are as polarised as the media would like to suggest, I cannot say.

Love and Hate.....The inappropriate use of words.

I am British.

I watch from a distance , and I'm suitably entertained by internal U.S. presidential politics. Just as you perhaps are entertained by British politics.

Love and hate just do not enter into the equation.

Biden too old, and Trump too inept.

Biden the elderly Statesman, no longer up to performing on the World stage

Trump the ageing  businessman, just not suitable for performing on the World stage.

U.S. presidential elections are a repeating, media hyped and manipulated, us and them circus.

Just observations made, with little or no emotional input.

Data input, processing and output.

That which means we function as we do.

Everything presented in this thread, by all participants, was subject to this process.........Irrespective of primary data sources.

Anyone's assumption to know something unprovably greater is simply an unprovable assumption.....Data output based upon acquired unprovable data, all internal and individually reprocessed......In short, a personal opinion or idea.

That's simply your unqualified opinion.

And your "belief".

And not the belief of "we".

The evolution of matter, strongly suggests order from chaos and therefore a design of physical inevitability.

Unfortunately, GOD hypotheses and the BIG BOOM both start at 1 with no explanation of 0.

So in spite of what "we" might believe, "we" do not actually have an answer.

And if 3 represented 11 individual units, then 3+3 might equal 42.

It just so happens that intelligent beings have devised a counting system whereby 3+3 is recognised as equalling 6.

And 3+3= GOD is an amalgamation of a recognised counting system and an insubstantial creation hypothesis.....Because we can.

I hate no one.

Trump is an entertaining human being, but intellectually inept.

His qualifications for the Presidential job, were access to large sums of money and the ability to entertain the gullible masses.

Thus he bought one Presidency.......But failed to buy a second one, presumably because the gullible masses weren't suitably entertained....But perhaps he will buy a third.

That all depends mostly, on the fickleness of the gullible masses, and to a lesser extent the craziness of the Presidential voting system.

We wait with baited breath.

And just keep taking the disinfectant.

Internal function and process.

Nihilism is no more or less a label for a philosophical amalgamation of data, loosely relative to something and not particularly definitive of anything.

We process data and variously attribute meaning and value.....So a greater authority is but one of many derived concepts that we might or might not attribute meaning and value to.

I don't see the connection.

So, we can judge right and wrong simply in accordance with social rules.

Though ultimately social rules are contrivances, based upon internally manipulated data.....Essentially hypothetical, when relative to philosophical standards of ethicality and morality.

How do we establish the right and wrong of setting hypothetical standards?

Especially when ethical and moral standards can vary considerably.

@Sum1hugme
You redefined 0.5 as 1....Not me.

1 is merely a base unit

And 3 is a group of three base units of 1

0.5 also becomes a base unit as defined by yourself

So we can define 0.5 0.5 0.5 as 3 base units.

Which is essentially 3 base units of 1.

I reiterate, that I'm simply pointing out that numbers are only relevant to an intellectual observer, and can easily be manipulated......As demonstrated.
