Evolution-ation
-->
@Yassine
I'm in both camps.

I believe nothing, but run with the idea of creation and subsequent evolution, to and endpoint, whereby a GOD principle is achieved and the universal sequence of events is re-initiated.

So.....Creation - Evolution - God Principle is achieved - Universal Decline - Re-initiation of the sequence.

And 2000 year old tales are just that, but nonetheless propose a  GOD principle.... As do all creation hypotheses, unsurprisingly.

Q. Did GOD create us, or do we create GOD?

A. Both.

Don't you just hate games that are decided by dodgy penalty decisions.

120 mins of intense effort and all decided by a free shot at goal......I also dislike penalty shoot outs, for the same reason.....You might as well just have a penalty kicking contest.

The Axial Age
-->
@Marauder
Sociological cause and effect for sure.

And "The Bronze Age Collapse" is a ridiculous  statement if one considers it in the context of sociological cause and effect.

The cause of sociological cause and effect is the development of knowledge, as it still is.

Sociological cause and effect, is why we now use complex electronics and computing and reside in centrally heated houses, rather than bronze axes, mud huts and a fire.

A GOD principal is sound, though some religious traditionalists variously apply whimsicality to their chosen version.

The GOD principal, is creation and effect and perhaps an end result.....Not a ridiculous floaty about bloke that fucks virgins and nails his kid to a cross.

Whites are the actual Jews
-->
@Timid8967
The British are the dispersed tribes from all over the place...As are Americans......And also as Jews have become.

A Jew is defined by ideological and historical beliefs.

Dick mutilation is the badge of honour.

And dress sense is variable.....Traditionalists like black outfits with a natty hat and a large beard.

Large beards and tattoos are currently in vogue in Britain at the moment....Though British tradition is a fluid thing.

Trad Muslims also go for large beards and dick mutilation, which is not surprising considering their shared Middle Eastern heritage.

Though they diverged somewhat on the outfit and head fashion, preferring the desert look.

People are curios things

They did and do all sorts of stuff.

What Would You Ideally do if You Fell Into a Lion Inclosure From an Overview?

@Reece101
Ah.

So no ideals available now.

Just a them and me scenario.

Well it's difficult to say, without a fairly well detailed plan of the hypothetical enclosure.

One cannot come up with a strategy, without knowing the available options.

Reparations means cash....That's what it's all about.

That's why certain people have to keep harping on about Black slavery and nasty  White Men.

I got an education and made a living by working at it.

Not by sitting on my arse expecting someone else to do it for me.

The Axial Age

@Marauder
In terms of human development.

Sort of states the obvious really.

Things happened as they did and not as they didn't.

Reading something else into it, long after the event, passes the time of day I suppose.

The alternative to development and progress is stasis, and this tends not to happen.

If anything, the development and application of knowledge has been increasing exponentially over the last 2000 years.

The "Axial Age" is just one phase thereof, as was the industrial revolution, and as is the current technological revolution.

A few hundred years from now an Alternative Intelligence might well be pondering over the same information.

I wonder if A.I. will invent their own GODS in their own image.

Just as we did.

Illegal is as illegal does.

One World one home.

And how one survives is dictated by ones own abilities.

And if we really cared we would.

Nope...... We are inherently selfish and consequently, selectively moral.

A name is something allocated to something for a reason.

In this instance, location, familiarity and shared information.

Anglo Saxon Celts burst and Israel disappeared....Nope...Things just changed and developed.

And don't forget the bigger World picture.....There was a whole lot going on elsewhere.

We tend to concentrate on the stuff relative to ourselves.

And ritual genital mutilation is just one of the many bizarre things that people get up to.

Evolution-ation
-->
@Yassine
Material evolution is ongoing and progress is self demonstrable.

The point of material evolution, if there is a point, can only be guessed at.

People tend to get bogged down in Darwinism and overlook the bigger picture....Just as people tend to get bogged down in religion and avoid the bigger picture.

Perhaps getting bogged down is necessary.

Creation and and an evolutionary sequence, has dictated that  both religion and science are necessary to the process of understanding and development.

I would refer to this as a GOD principle.

My guess is that it's all happened before.

And if everything goes as it should, then it will all happen again.

Worship not actually required....But everything plays it's part.....Maybe.

@Discipulus_Didicit
The Roman Empire was perhaps the most influential in terms of human social development.

And the U.S.  has undoubtedly,  been greatly influenced by post colonial Romanism.

And the British Empire, like it or not....Was quite an amazing feat of global human management.

We've still got little bits of real estate, dotted about here and there.

Hong Kong was never going to last though.

Alexander also had a good bash....But had a tendency to go East and peaked too early.

Assuming that you are referring to/cherry picking  the Trans-Atlantic  "Slave Trade" of the 15th - 19th centuries.

Then No.

Because all the slaves will be dead.

Some people prefer to overlook the fact that Africans enslaved each other long before the Spanish and others took over the business and made it global.

When and where would the reparations ever end?

The Conservatives are the party of the  social movers and shakers.

Labour are currently unsure of who they represent, and the wannabee masses aren't sure if they wannabee Labour any more. Most people aspire to moving and shaking these days.

And the Lib Dems wannabee all things to all genders.

And the  movers and shakers are headed by the elite movers and shakers, who are in turn headed by the Aristocracy and the Monarchy.

And "Whitehall" is the real centre of British power.

And of course, the masses are never happy with the Party in government, because nothing really changes.

Same old shit Eugene.

No it is not.

Therefore a following statement that proposes that wikipedia is a decent place to go, undeniably contradicts the previous statement.

#2 is the post in question.

And bravo your loyal supporters....But they are just loyally supporting you....And loyal support cannot change the aforementioned contradiction.

Tautology describes as tautology does.....Quite adequately in this instance.

But for those that require clarification.

One can only know something, if one can...That is to say, if one possesses the ability to know.

Similarly, if one lacks the ability to know, then one won't know.

A fact is a human construct, not the subject of the construct.

Is the Pope a reliable Catholic.

No he is not.

He is however a decent Catholic to go to for preliminary research into Catholicism, to then use as a reliable preliminary source of Catholicism, which he draws form a reliable source.

LOL.  If the decent preliminary source isn't reliable, then the reliable source is also unlikely to be reliable.

That you cannot understand that yes and no to the same question is contradictory, is troubling.

Q.  What is the difference between sliced bread and unsliced bread?

A. The same as the difference between a sliced bread roll and an unsliced bread roll.

The shape of the bread is as relevant or irrelevant as you care to consider.

Though I would suggest, that the conceptual difference between a hotdog and a sausage sandwich is perceivably obvious. But not worth getting hung up about.

Though if the bread roll wasn't sliced where would you put the sausage?
