Is wikipedia a reliable source?
-->
@Barney
@Intelligence_06
No, it is not.

It is however a decent place to go.
Struck me as being a tad contradictory.

It is either reliable or it is not.

If it is not reliable, then it is not "a decent place to go".

Doc Franklin summed it up much better.

And any general compilation of information for reference use, is obviously going to be a secondary source. It's the nature of the beast, as it were.

Wiki is an excellent quick reference source.

And it amuses me that people knock it.

A tad pretentiously, me thinks.

The U.K. symbol for pound weight is lb with a dash through it. From the Roman, libre pondo....Though the dash is usually omitted. The American use of the hash symbol to represent pound weight was derived from the original crossed lb symbol.

The symbol for pounds sterling is £.

And the hash symbol or number sign as used in social media, has been referred to as hashtag since about 2007.

It's interesting that clever Indians still regard "the west" as a means of improvement.

I can't speak for U.S. society..... But here in the U.K. people of the Indian sub-continent are just a part of the furniture, as it were. Look at the current  Conservative government for example....Rishi, Priti, Sajid and Alok to name but a few.

Hope all goes well in the U.S.

@PGA2.0
How do you know this?
Exactly my point.

Whether or not a GOD principle is actually relevant, is unknown, and therefore speculative.

All that we can be reasonably certain of, are the abilities of human function and derived facts thereof.

So, no human no fact.

There might be other stuff...But we can only speculate, because we can.

The meaning of death
The word death is non-specific.

It can describe the whole process, of decline to non-existence.

So, alive or dead.

And though I struggle to find a specific word, the moment of cross over, might be referred to as passing.

I do not read too much into things, whereas some people seem to find it necessary to do so.

Not directed specifically to creation. Possibly more to Jesus.
How about unpacking this statement.

Well......You said it was crap.

And I take part because it is interesting to do so.

If you care to look at post#2, you will see that I gave a full answer to the question.

Was your post#5 serious or not. If so, can you substantiate the claim made therein....

"The spirit doesn't die it goes on forever".

I think that it is fair to refer to such statements as supposition.

The legal drinking age you mean.

Not that a legal drinking age is going to stop kids from drinking.

Over here, legality only really applies to the selling of alcohol.

The consumption of alcoholic drinks, is pretty much recognised as unpoliceable....As is sex between minors.

Why can't a gay person marry a women?

Gay is as gay does.

Methods of achieving sexual satisfaction are numerous and varied....Who one might or might not be married to is proven to be irrelevant.

Interestingly you're still using old social stereotyping....And still having to justify how people behave sexually.

It strikes me that people are not quite as liberated as they think they are.

No brain no fact.

Definition is also the result of internal process.

So no brain, no definition, and no fact.

Something can only be known to be a fact or defined, if it can be known to be a fact and defined.

Therefore, without the ability to know, something cannot be known to be, or be defined ...So no fact and no definition.

Hmmm.

Is this about a word and it's possible applications.

Or just a roundabout way of making a point, relative to a specific creation hypothesis.

Nonetheless.

Dead is the antonym to living or alive.

Whereas death can variously, precede an event, be subsequent to an event, be an event or be the embodiment of an event.

Judging history by todays standards is arrogant.

And overlooks what was/is the inevitability of human evolution and  human social evolution, relative to the acquisition of knowledge and associated capability.

The modern arguments are just the manifestation of ongoing mutual racism, relative to perceivable differences.

Socially acceptable slavery is what kept/keeps society ticking.

What was once acceptable, may not be now.

But social hierarchy always dictates a degree of subservience.

To think that I hold bigotries is to not know me.

Let's have a beer (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and talk football.

Or fruit juice...Muslims are good at fruit juice.

I do not  have any answers to the big question, and I'm also confident that you don't.......Now that's not bigoted....Just realistic.

To assume that one does have unquestionable answers, could be regarded as being a tad arrogant.

Do you think that your answers are unquestionable?

Well.

Species and individual survival are what is driven instinctively......But of course, we embellish with concept driven add-ons.

Mr Badger is just conceptually embellishing what he is sub-consciously being instructed to do.

True abstinence is a very rare feat of extreme will power....Hence Priests and Choirboys, and LGBTQ and all that palaver.

Nonetheless, it's all human nature at the end of the day.

And when you get to our age, you begin to realise, that sex isn't everything....But of course, in reality, it always was.

Health is a generalisation.

Decline would suggest that said patient was in poor health, or maybe, lacked good health.

The phrase used was "The structural integrity".

The said structure obviously lacked integrity.

So a correct statement should have read something like....The structural fragility of the building, meant that it was at risk of collapse.

@Wylted
The structural integrity of the building was at risk of collapse.

Apart from being a grammatically inept statement, this is also a contradiction in terms.

The building either had structural integrity, or it was at risk of collapse.

Collapse would suggest, that said building, lacked structural integrity.

Try telling that to all Muslims.

In all fairness, all the Muslim labelled humans that I know are peaceable, and in predominately Muslim countries, I have always been treated well.

Nonetheless, ideologies foster nutcases, and nutcases can incite the gullible....Look at the climax of the recent U.S. Presidential election for example.

For sure, communication isn't vital, though communication obviously assists the spread and advancement of knowledge.

What you are actually saying is:

Things are, irrespective of a viewer.

And I agree.

But it is only a viewer that can attribute things with factuality.

2. Stating things is what we do.

4a. So you can't then.

@Yassine

Can you say one intelligible relevant thing.
Now  whose questioning themself in the mirror.

Religious speak is hardly intelligent...Just the product of rote learning.

Intelligence advances material evolution....Theistic ideology  stagnates.

Maybe conditioned  theism is an inevitable and necessary counterbalance...Perhaps it would be foolish for humanity to peak to early.

1. Perhaps GOD is a delusion, and therefore belief in the delusion is arrogance.....So two possibilities then.

2. As far as we are able to know, all qualities are human concepts. Otherwise, things just are, and cannot be attributed quality.

3. Presumably there would be one GOD. To suggest otherwise would be to admit something.

4. How does one gain truth through the rote learning of another individuals social ideology, based upon an archaic and fantastical hypothesis.
Thou shalt do, because I believe a guy met a GOD up a mountain, and therefore because I say so...And I might get these blokes to stone you to death if you don't.
The brutal enforcement of religious and social  ideology was once the standard....In fact, I think that it still is in certain places....And I also think that some people do rightly question this aspect of GOD.
And the "future" example is simply an irrelevant truism.

5. ?

It is also true that there are potatoes, regardless of cabbages.

Though, without your ability to perceive and communicate, you would have no facts.

Some might say that, "for they are arrogant" is itself pretty arrogant.

"What is a conscious GOD"......Not an unconscious GOD.

"What is a bothered GOD"......Not a disinterested GOD.

Presumably if one is a fairly strict adherent to a religious ideology, then one accepts a conscious and bothered GOD....(Correct me if I am wrong). Otherwise how do ardent theists conclude that their prophets speak the truth?

"Is this a political description or a philosophical one"......No, an attempt at a realistic one.....Politics and philosophy are derivatives of the aforementioned process.

As is an attempt at realism of course.....As is  everything I suppose  ...Including the assumption of the matter of the universe.

But for now, let's work with a basic tenet...I think therefore I am.

2."Thus make partners" etc....Religious speak....This proves zero.

3. I asserted nothing...I made an observation.....Can you invalidate my observation?

4a. No just another observation....Can you actually invalidate my observation?

5. A cup is a cup......Though perception and data management allows you to come to this conclusion.

6.Hm....

4b....In terms of everything, unexplainable is therefore unknowable. Yes indeed.

Yes...All my best English

Hypotheses that suggest a reason for the unknowable....Or unexplainable, depending upon how one chooses to split hairs.

What you need, to unite the Nation.

Is a good old skirmish with those commi bastards in the East....(Or the West depending on which way you care to look).

It's no good just picking on those little old Middle Eastern States or bombing the f**k out of some poor old Afghan goat farmer.....People are tired of that.

Twin towers is history...There's more pressing things to consider now, like LBGTQ rights and all that kind of stuff.

Liberals need Police to enforce liberalism in a liberal society.
