PARANOIA...Defo.

And in no particular order

Have you never seen a tattooed right wing thug.

And you worship the pseudo science of the bible.

And love is a metaphor and sex is sex.

And we are all descended from migrants

And I metaphorically love the U.K.

And abortion is currently a legally permissible procedure...Just like bombing the f**k out of Jonny Foreigner.

And are you admitting that you do not think freely?

Could Science prove an "objective morality"?
-->
@seldiora
Science is the application of intelligence and  knowledge to a question or problem...Currently still the preserve of humanity...Well only just.

Do you think that Alternative Intelligence will be purely logical.....If so, then I suggest that A.I. will not consider the illogic of human morality, Mr Spock....You Vulcan softie.

Bloviate...Nice word.....I bloviate, you bloviate, they all like to bloviate.

I don't care because I am British and also because I have a trust in human nature.....If you remember I posted a forum at the start of Trumps tenure where I stated that I had high hopes for his presidency....Sadly he just didn't live up to expectation....There's far more to the job than managing the domestic budget.

And the real U.S. power brokers would never allow a war to start with either Russia or North Korea....Too costly on all fronts.

And in the Middle East one mans peace is another mans desolation.....Same old Israeli led self preservation politics.....Smile for the cameras Mr T.

And for a person so widely travelled you have seemingly  gained no insight at all, into the lives of the real, ordinary, aspirational people that exist all over the World.

So, grab your guns and your banjo and run for the hills, because they're all out to get ya.....Because you are suffering from what is known as PARANOIA......I would suggest.

I would suggest that free thinkers are probably those more likely to consider a world view.

But I would agree that free thinkers are less likely to conform with an archaic belief system....That's herd mentality.

You said nope....Then almost immediately went on to say that the concept of nothing isn't actually nothing.

I would suggest that true nothingness is impossible to conceptualize.

Big-Bang theorists propose  no space.....But have you ever tried to imagine no space.....No space is always surrounded by space.

Space is something even if it is void.

I argue the dems position because you argue the reps position. .....That's the general gist of it.

Though one doesn't need to have any political allegiance to understand that Mr T was inept,  academically challenged and not fit for purpose.

I usually couldn't care less who is running the U.S.A.....But when you've obviously got a buffoon with their finger on the button, one has a tendency to get a little concerned.

And assuming that all Syrians are jihadists is like assuming that all white republicans are KKK.

I never said that black lives do not matter to me.....That's quoting me out of context.

I was comparing  concern for strangers with concern for family...And all my family happen to be fair skinned.

In terms of respect, I have respect  for all human beings who would not choose to harm me......Perhaps that is the "ought" of mattering.

What on earth is a non-native tongue?

If you mean that Mr U, seemingly doesn't have a good command of the English language.

Then I would suggest that you read through their plethora of posts, and you will notice that Mr U's use of the English language is very variable.

And if you look a little closer at the structure and content of their narrative, I think that you will conclude as I have, that it is in fact Mr U who is taking the "Mikey".

And pointing out that it is Lucas's chair, is not semantics....It's correcting an error.

Interesting interjection there.

I would suggest that modern U.S. politics is now so polarised as to be indistinguishable....If you get my meaning.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man and from man to pig etc.

I think that Orwell would have found it:

Impossible to say which was which.

ALL LIVES MATTER

@Theweakeredge
Well...That's a somewhat stylised response that doesn't take into account the whole  gamut of modern social interaction.

I was suggesting that levels of care are relative to association, and so the more remote and dissociated we are from one another the less we tend to care.

If my wife died I would be affected for a long time...If my next door neighbour died I would be temporarily affected....But this does not mean, that shooting my neighbour would be morally justifiable.

AH...

I would suggest that thy rag was lost temporarily.

The Adam and Eve remark highlighted your previous contradictions, and so the atheists and idiots reply was born of frustration.

You had no real counter to my Syrian Kansas observation, as it was an irrefutable point....And so you reverted back to the old style sarcastic Mr E.

No worries, I fully understand.

And do you mean a hominid being, exhibiting a light skin tone, who perchance was conceived and born upon Planet Earth.

@ethang5
Which ancient writings?

My point was that formerly, information was passed by word of mouth....Then perhaps chiselled  hieroglyphics....Then perhaps hieroglyphics on papyrus, and so on.... Until eventually you end up with  your own modern version of a compilation of thoughts and ideas.....The basis of that information isn't to be found in your book, or a two thousand year old manuscript or on a four thousand year old tablet of stone..... The basis of that information begins when the first hominid is able  looks skywards and ask why.

I shouldn't even need to suggest this.

What I would suggest is, that  attempting to promote that the modern bible as a unique scientific thesis, is utterly absurd.

True.

Realistic but not nihilistic.

Our lives  for their duration, will have meaning for us and our loved ones.

And all my loved ones are "white" and so no black lives matter that much to me.

But I will always be respectful of those who are respectful  of me.

Nothing is necessarily logically-necessary...But it helps.

And it also helps if things are empirically demonstrable.

I would suggest.

It's the development of ideas and the transfer of data from generation to generation.

It would be foolish to think that all ideas and information started with the compilers of the bible tales.

And I would further suggest that middle of the road banality is on a two way highway....See what I did there?

Yep.... And do you understand my point.

Irrespective of how old the Universe is, matter has developed at the same rate, as governed by the laws of the universe. And therefore it is reasonable to suggest that intelligence and intelligent civilisations would have also developed at the same rate.

Unless you are proposing a multi-stage creation and universe....Though I think that the consensus is, that it all happened in one go.

Well, there won't be any old arses left...Just new old arses....and so on and so on.....And culture will erode and reshape like the desert sands, I would poetically suggest.

And what is an American?

And what is a Brit for that matter?

It doesn't matter if one  believes in the bible or if one believes in evolution...We all nonetheless believe that mankind originated from one place....I would suggest.

It's just that now they are pesky foreigners coming over here.

Oneness, it's true
-->
@janesix
In layman's terms.

Sub atomic particles such as protons seemingly slip in and out of existence...They are always there but sometimes disappear.

The components of the universe when reduced to subatomic dimensions, might also display the same characteristics, slipping in an out of existence. They are always there but sometimes disappear.

So everything is always there.... And things don't change.... But things develop..... And nothing ever goes away.

@Reece101
One doesn't doubt the "freaking" size of the universe.....That wasn't the point.

I was suggesting that all those freakingly possible civilizations, might all share a universal and evolutionary commonality....That is to say that none of those civilisations has yet developed the capability of interstellar or intercalactic travel.

And no one is overlooking the fact that warp drives might be mathematically possible. But perhaps you are ignoring the fact, that as yet we are nowhere near developing warp drive technology....And so for the same reasons as above, it is  likely that  other civilisations elsewhere in the universe, have also not developed warp technology.

Maybe in the future, but probably not in our lifetimes Jim.

A basic principle of creation, is that everything began at one point, a "oneness"....And at the moment of creation SPACE, TIME, MATTER and ENERGY all came into existence.
