A reasonable suggestion might be that if universal progression is governed by physical laws, then evolutionary progression is governed by the same laws.
To that end, why should it be expected that any other sentient organic civilisation/s, would be more advanced in terms of acquired knowledge and technology?.....Isn't that just the expectation of science fiction?
I would therefore suggest that if "alien" civilisations do in fact exist, then they are just as likely to be stranded by the vastness of a solar system and outer space, as we are.

Certainly if someone creates a narrative that is agreeable then one must be prepared to agree in principle.
Mr Ethan suggested that my approach to these forums was "teach and preach", and so I modified my style accordingly. Therefore one would expect a reciprocal willingness to discuss.
And your correct, and as I attempted to point out, the fact that such concepts were touched upon in a creation hypothesis is neither amazing or unusual, in fact they are to be expected.

"The mind" is how we refer to internal electro-chemical physiological processes...... Particularly, processes relating to consciousness and conscious thought.
In other words, brain function.....Or as some people refer to it, "sloshy slinky stuff".
To read more into it, is to simply making use of said sloshy slinky processes.

I would further disagree and say, that indirectly, but nonetheless relative to the reasons you gave above. No lives actually matter.
Certain people matter to certain people for certain reasons.
For example.... An earthquake claims hundreds of lives in Northern Pakistan...And some people will be overwrought, and some will be disturbed and the rest won't bat an eyelid.....Such is humanity.

Isn't that clutching at straws?
Attempting to coerce right wing law makers into making right wing decisions.....That's U.S. modern style democracy I suppose?
And I would suggest, that sensible people chose to vote by post because of the global pandemic. Or is that an outrageous suggestion Mr Giuliani?

I would suggest that some talk about it and others think about it.
And I would further suggest that you have a stereotypically conservative image of a threat to your establishment. Gleaned from prejudiced third party conservative sources, with little knowledge of true facts and real people..... I'm just guessing though...(You may well be a volunteer aid worker. If so, then my unreserved apologies)
A bit like my old dad, who thought he despised all the coloured immigrants that came to the U.K. in the sixties, even though he never met a single one of them. Until he needed the help of a M.D. when his health was failing, and then of course he was most grateful.
And may I ask...Who is going to do all your dirty work for you. The British horticultural industry would have come to a grinding halt if it hadn't been for the hard work of Eastern European migrants.....And a few stay and most go home, and most would prefer to go home....
And the newer influx of Middle Eastern and North African migrants would also love to be at home. If only, the U.S. and it's Allies hadn't bombed the f**k out of their homelands. (Just an easy jibe, but with an undeniable element of truth to it.)....Will it be Iranians next, when the U.S. and their Israeli overlords eventually decide to bomb the f**k out of Iran.....(Hurry up Mr Biden)....More jibes with elements of truth attached.
Nonetheless... The homogenization of humanity will move inexorably onwards and the old guard will be left behind scratching their heads and arses....(In my opinion.)

And do you think that there is no primitive murderous backwater culture lurking in Old America?
I would suggest that the intent of most potential immigrants, is the betterment of their lives, rather than murderous fanaticism.
I would further suggest that a movement from what is perceived to be a position of established security. Will always evoke a negative response....Especially from older people, who have a tendency to be fearful of change.
The U.S.A....A new nation, wholly founded on immigrants, despising immigration. To put it mildly, this does appear to be something of a hypocritical contradiction.
I would suggest that quiet white leafy America can still be quiet and leafy, but perhaps slightly off-white in the future....And we are always wary of new neighbours, especially if they don't match the established norm.
The benefit of living in the U.K..... Is that it is small, and consequently there is nowhere to hide from reality...In my opinion.
I would finally suggest that, evolution dictates that intellect rather than ethnicity is the only way forwards....And so we will need to embrace minds, rather than worry about the colour of the box their contained within.......Though a different issue perhaps.

I would suggest that living under a moral code is what we do.....But this manifests as a day to day performance, relative to how our society and ourselves are conditioned.
For sure, any divergence from the norm will effect a response ,which may or may not compel us to diverge from our moral norms.....But this is how things will play out in the physical world, and not the same as philosophically analysing and discussing the internal manipulation of data.
My suggestion was simply, that the production of thought is the same process irrespective of how we label it.
This thought is subjective, this next thought will be objective.....I would suggest that all thoughts are personal, and therefore by the very nature of the independent process, all thoughts are subjective irrespective of content.

After consideration.
I would suggest, that I believe very little if nothing at all.....I expect and I accept...But belief as defined is a separate issue altogether.
I do not believe the Sun will rise in the morning...I expect that it will, and I will accept that it has....I do not need to believe, that which I can predict.... And that which I am uncertain of I will only consider.
I expect and accept, other people will accept a specific creation hypothesis and come to hold that concept as a belief...I however simply do not process information in the same way...I therefore have no belief, in either the existence or non-existence of any specific GOD.... I prefer just to hold the GOD principle as a valid hypothesis, worthy of consideration.
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I would also, merely suggest, that it is easy to pontificate from a position of relative stability and security.

"My Riddles" follow the format of standard word and number puzzles.
They are two very simple puzzles.
I would suggest that because of the term I.Q. people are reading to much into them.

I would suggest.
That function and process, dictates that objectivity is a consequence of subjectivity and therefore the two are actually one and the same.
I would therefore further suggest, that subjectively creating abstract principles, is only ever what it is.
in addition... I would therefore also suggest, that repeating fact verbatim, is an altogether separate data processing exercise.
To conclude...I would suggest, that "objective" and "subjective" are a misleading dichotomy, and therefore unnecessary concerns....And that, the production of all thoughts and consequent output is a wholly internal data processing function, irrespective of the quality of both the internal data base and any eventual data output.
Your subjective thoughts would be appreciated.

As I've said before...I think therefore I am....Is the best that we have.
So within that context, the function of perception is real.....How we choose to interpret what we perceive, is the issue.
Spirituality is a often a badly defined label we attach to an internal physiological process.

I've already tried to explain.
Spirituality is an internally generated, electro-chemical response, to certain situations or thoughts.
Spirituality is physiologically self created., and not some bloke sending telepathic messages.
Assuming otherwise, really is just a misunderstanding, that may become a delusion.

As erudite as ever Mr A.
Nonetheless, regarding the veracity of popular GOD stories, you are still no nearer shifting the burden of proof from your shoulders.
And as ever I have nothing to prove.
Zed the atheist.
I, like most people, would love to know the reason for the existence of matter....But, a chap went up a mountain and had a chat with a GOD....Pull the other one, it's got bells on..... I certainly don't feel the need to disprove these sort of tall tales.

A common misinterpretation of atheism.....Atheism is a state of mind and definitely not a belief in something,
Theists are the believers in things they cannot prove to be true.
Certainly some atheists are antagonists, but that's a different story.
