As ever, a whole lot of words that doesn't really tell us anything.
It just confirms for you, a set of internally held data that you consider to be meaningful.

The answer should be a no brainer really.
No pun intended.

Life expectancy has probably doubled in the last hundred years.
Better healthcare, improved medical intervention, increased personal awareness of healthy living etc.
Nonetheless 0 to 50 is still 0 to 50 and a year is still a year, and though we might be relatively fitter and healthier than previous generations were, this still only extends the years from 50 0nwards.
And 50 onwards are still inevitably the years of natural physical decline.
And so continued use of current strategies can only increase the years 100 + for example.
And currently, of what real use is a centenarian?
Do you get my point?
How do you actually stop the clock sooner?

There is obviously an ultimate reality.
But whether the rituals of Mopac's church have anything to do with it, is another matter completely.
Mopac undoubtedly has a conditioned bias. As do most ardent theists.

Yep.
There are two sides to every argument and both sides have a right to be voiced.

Death is death.
And dying is being alive.
And currently the only certainty you have after birth is death.
And also currently, increasing life span only means extending the latter stages of existence.
The alternative would mean stopping the genomic clock altogether.
And I doubt that it will be possible to do that in your lifetime.

Is that anything other than conditioned rhetoric?

I can personally prove that the Earth is a spheroid.
Simply by looking at accurate images taken from space.
As I previously stated, it is only someone with a dogged belief in conspiracy theories that would refute the authenticity of such images.
AAAARGH Nasa and the Government and every other space research organisation is out to get us.

The counter argument is equally as sound.
Therefore a maximally great being either does or doesn't exist.
Which is the same old, past, present and ongoing unprovable uncertainty that ever was and is ever likely to be.
So what?

Trump's impeachment might actually fuck Elizabeth Warren the most.

And I didn't realise that's what you referred to them as over there
So how big is Donald's impeachment?

It's not that the world's going to end.
It's that things might not be the same for human society.
It might mean that eventually there are a few less of us about. Which is probably a good thing from the planet's point of view.
Not that a planet actually gives a toss.
Although if there was an intelligent designer out there somewhere, then this sort of scenario would no doubt have been an integral part of their design anyway.
So no worries.
All's always for the best perhaps.
Or perhaps not maybe.

You assumed my stupidity, so it was definitely in your thoughts.
And Jesus fashioned a scourge.

A pre-meditated act of corporal punishment more like.

So, one solar system (as far as we know) out of how many? Where circumstances enable the development of organic compounds and consequently life.
Absolutely amazing and inexplicable from the point of view of the human spectator.
And so?

At the end of the proverbial day, social reality for the majority of people (Christians included) is far more about turning a buck than it is about religion.
And making a fast buck is fair game for Liberals and Conservatives alike. There's no moral high ground to be had.

No one is born a Christian.
Christian is a label that gets stamped on us, usually without our permission.
Fortunately I found it easy to erase that label.
Others are less fortunate and spend a lifetime worrying about it.

Isn't delaying the effects of ageing just the same as lengthening the process of dying.
What you would be hoping to do I suppose, is to stay youthful for longer and the only way that I can see to achieve this whilst not incurring a similarly lengthy demise, would be to stop the ageing process altogether.
How do you think this might be achieved within your lifetime?

@Singularity
What in the World makes you think that it wouldn't.
Wishful thinking perhaps.
So how are you going to prevent aging?
The span of life that you refer to, goes from birth to death with an inevitable process in between.
As things stand, prolonging life only means extending the latter stages, rather than increasing the primary stages.

Isn't that just social reality.#6
Those that will lead and those that want to be led.
Those that are prepared to take responsibility for themselves and those that either will not or can not.
Those that achieve easily in a modern society and those that struggle to achieve.
I would suggest that root cause of social hierarchy is more to do with variable levels of natural ability rather than about the distribution of monetary wealth per se.
And after all, if financial disparity did not exist, then wouldn't the concept of money become somewhat irrelevant?
And do not attempts at pure socialism always fail?

Check your dictionary occasionally.
Abiogenesis is speculation about an unknown process. Which is exactly what the conundrum concerning the inception of life is.
Also any ongoing process of development is evolution.
Evolution does not have specific connotations. Unless you choose to incorrectly imply specific connotations.
You redefine or perhaps manipulate definition to suit your purposes.
And scientific evidence is only human understanding as far as it goes and not always human certainty.

Physical activity inevitably carries a risk.
You could choke on a chicken bone.
Not doing anything is the alternative to doing something.
And not doing anything will inevitably get you in the end anyway.
Starvation, heart attack, brain injury.
You might as well enjoy yourself in the meantime.

It's what's loosely known as Chinese whispers.
Or lost in translation.
Back in the day, they didn't have the benefit of electronic devices that could precisely record and translate data.
And anyway, mythology is composed for mythologies sake rather than as an accurate historical record of something.
One bear killing one child soon becomes 2 bears killing 42 children and let's throw a conversation with a Lord into the mix for conventions sake and also for dramatic effect.

Yep, clueless.
If you are genuinely confident that the above is significant and meaningful.
Why not submit it to an authoritative scientific body for critical analysis, rather than to a generally clueless, internet debating forum.

@Singularity
Indefinite life is no good unless the aging process is completely halted.
Just look at how decrepit and useless centenarians are.
As neither the understanding nor the ability are currently available, it is therefore unlikely to happen anytime soon.
All we can hope for are new therapies that can prolong the agony and decline into decrepitude for just a little longer, consequently increasing the burden on an already overstretched society and environment.

Trouble is you are over complicating or in fact incorrectly defining the word abiogenesis.
Abiogenesis loosely refers to or assumes the possibility of a process from which life was able to evolve.
Abiogenesis does not specifically insinuate that a blob of inert matter suddenly burst into life.
Of course, the alternative to an abiogenic process is a magical process, whereby a blob of inert matter was suddenly made to burst into life.
No accounting for the magician though.

@LordLuke
Internal data management is variable and obviously relative to variable data input.
Hence your data output is personal and perhaps relative to a community.
Consensus might dictate social policy, but consensus always has limits.
What you might refer to as perversion and fetishism or bad things, are simply data management variants which may or may not comply with how you and your associated communities might process data.
So, we can set national standards for data management and output and consequent actions, which becomes a real enough system within a specific social context, but nonetheless a human social system is not necessarily representative or is probably unlikely to be representative of either, a greater external reality or the programmed reality of all individuals.
In short, a "pervert" will behave in accordance with their own specific set of programmed data, whether that be inherent or acquired data.
I think that it is fair to suggest that the inherent drives are the same in all of us.
Though differences in output and action will be dependant on how individuals choose to interface inherent data and programmed data, which in turn will be wholly dependant upon an individuals conditioning.

And how much do you bother to try and interact with them? Except maybe when you wish to visit their casinos.
And that's my point. The diverse peoples of the Southern U.S. are no more or less immigrant descendants than you are.
Just because other people might look, sound and think slightly differently, doesn't make them any less a U.S. citizen. and certainly does not make you superior in any way.
