This is not about muslims being inferior or wrong or lesser so anyone thinking of erasing this or banning this subject is being unreasonable.  I am stating that their culture or belief system is irreconcilable with the goals of a debate site.

We have all noticed that Muslims will never vote against a position they disagree with in a debate. This alone is enough. We should be voting for who we thinks had the better argument not looking for ways to twist RFDs into fitting our preferred winners argument.

What follows is an analysis of their internal mindset so you can see why the group should be banned by default although making exceptions for some outliers may be fine.

Muslim is an Identity not a belief system

In most Islamic cultures, Islam isn't just a worldview — it's your tribe, your bloodline, your honor system.
So to vote against a Muslim argument, even if it’s weaker, feels like betrayal, not intellectual integrity.
  • Christians → “I disagree, but truth is truth.”
  • Atheists → “He beat me. Respect.”
  • Muslims → “This isn’t just debate. This is the Ummah.”
They see it like voting against their nation or family, not just their theology.

Collective responsibility stops them from being intellectually honest

In Islamic thought (especially more traditional interpretations), there's this sense of communal accountability before God.
If a Muslim publicly sides with a non-Muslim in a theological debate, it’s seen as:
  • Strengthening kufr (disbelief)
  • Undermining dawah (Islamic outreach)
  • Weakening the perception of Islamic strength
Islam is basically a hive mind according to sociologists so a single token muslim on the site might be enough

Sociologists describe Islam (and Orthodox Judaism, to a lesser extent) as “tight cultures” — high emphasis on loyalty, conformity, and moral unity.
Christianity and modern atheism are “loose cultures” — more open to internal disagreement and pluralism.
So a Christian can say “Well he made better points, even if I disagree” and still sleep at night.
But a Muslim might feel that’s a public breach of group loyalty.

Muslims on the site are jihading us right now, not looking for actual debate

In Islam, arguing for the faith is literally a form of jihad — “striving in the way of Allah.”
So losing isn’t just personal — it feels like you’re losing for all Muslims.
Voting against that? To many, that’s like saying God’s side lost. And no one wants to be that guy.

TL;DR:
Muslims often won’t vote against Muslim positions in debate because:
  • Their religion is fused with identity and honor
  • They live in a tight moral culture where group loyalty > individual judgment
  • Debate is not just argument — it’s spiritual warfare
  • Publicly conceding is seen as giving ammunition to disbelievers
  • Because of this inability to remain honest, unbiased and in general ethical people, all Muslims should be banned from the site
