In my opinion, the Sith are actually good because the Sith code actually teaches you to follow your passions and natural instincts whereas the Jedi code conditions you to be an emotionless, numb robot.
In this context, a civilisation refers to a type one or higher on the Kardashev Scale, not the traditional definition. My position is that all civilisations are Resource Based Economies (as in technocratic socialism)
