True rolemadness is just not fun IMO, based on the results of my last game. There's way too much swinginess - the game basically comes down to luck in the night actions

I just went through all of Pie's old games (all 10 of them, excluding his quickfire). Maybe this helps, although not as much as I hoped.

I suppose so - like a nerfed version of Innocent Child, where it doesn't benefit us or scum to take them out. I think I've seen mafia claim that in a few games, where it either works completely or gets them policy lynched.

Prophet is kind of a perfect anti-swing role, if you think about it - if town is winning early, GP will try and force a mislynch, and vice versa. Using a TP as anti-swing is... unusual though.

Still thinking about what Greyparrot said. I don't buy that he decided to potentially out the most important part of his role when he didn't have to, but I can't see any reason for fakeclaiming Prophet and then deliberately drawing attention to that.

That's a bit weird, but I buy it. My guess is that the items might give a temporary buff (like being bulletproof or vig for a night), but cause some delayed effect to happen later (roleblocked, no protection, etc??).

I can't access the wiki rn (also blocked) but I think that Hazel is the daughter of Hades (Greek god of the underworld, death, etc.) and she has the ability to summon wealth from the earth, but anyone who takes that wealth will be cursed to live a horrible life or smth.

I completely buy Best.Korea's role is real (either as a realclaim or fakeclaim). The softclaim is way too specific, only someone who knows a lot about HoO and role justifications would try that

Pie has a history of putting in goofy roles. Off the top of my head, I remember White Mage, Purifier, Freezer, just in the last game he hosted.

Yeah, I checked online, and Prophet seems to be a really niche role - but I know Pie has a history of doing that in his games, like by choosing Bookie for the Civil War mafia or smth. Personally I buy that he can joint win, since his role isn't based on any particular faction winning

GP acting slightly evasive but he usually acts a bit trollish in the early DPs

Can you elaborate on any character details with Octavian (e.g. what plot stuff got mentioned in the PM)? I know Pie usually gives pretty specific role claims. Just want to make sure you didn't google a convenient character

Ngl I'm buying GP's claim pretty strongly, if only because him showing a fakeclaim would basically burn through two fakeclaims right off the bat if he was scum. iirc I don't think Pie has ever given scum two fakeclaims.

Another random thought, a solo TP is likely because a 2v8 setup is considered a bit weird, numbers-wise. 2 v 7 v 1 where the solo helps mitigate swing (they're motivated to extend the game, whether by helping town or scum) makes sense.

Prophet seems like a pretty reasonable claim considering the theme. Could be a good fakeclaim though, iirc when I read through Pie's games for setup inspiration, he almost always gave scum some sort of fakeclaim. It could explain why he's not being NKed while also discouraging town from lynching.

Fun to be back, modding is stressful. Cool theme - I have pretty extensive knowledge, and it gives me an excuse to reread the books for the 10th time.

According to standard mafiascum and mafiauniverse roles, a roleblock on a tracker should never say something like "they visited no one." If that isn't a satisfying explanation, pretend I flavored the role on purpose to counter scum's RBing roles.

For a tracker, I would also give "no result."

I really don't see how this leaves any ambiguity. Saying that "You may use one of the following abilities" is clear, and adding "once per game" merely clarifies this.
