The problem is Barney hard-slipping by missing BK's fullclaim
I’ve played in a few games where we’d sequentially pressure people for claims. It looked to me like what was happening, and it was such a small inconsequential matter that I did not cross reference.
It of course wasn’t a scum master plan to mislynch anyone, rather it was a normal town start of day activity.

Austin didn't towntell at all and wasn't brutally pressed for a claim for reasons I can't comprehend.
I suspect town being so hard on Vader and I for attempting that tactic (yes, with a silly fumble), strongly contributed to this in a feedback loop. Heck, even in the final day (hell, even in this endgame) it was viewed as scummy that anyone would pressure anyone else for claims.

I genuinely am very busy today, and am not caught up.
Pretty sure the scum team is Vader and I.
Apparently Austin has a testable role, so (I said this in scum chat last night or this morning) VNTL seems benifical.
Town certainly had some good moments, but I can understand the frustration from the inside.

Barney was also pushing people like Earth, who we now know as town, into a deeper hole for their reads. He did the same with JoeBob from what I recall.
Not what happened. Earth was even less active than I am right now with no reason given. While being clear I was going to place my end vote on GP, I placed a vote on Earth and tagged him, to apply light pressure to encourage participation. While he didn’t give a lot, he at least gave something, at which point I lifted the vote.
But of course you’re going to pretend to have never done anything like that…
On that note, I have to brush my teeth and head out the door.

He might not have. It’s my best guess. It would explain a few things, but as you’ve said, there’s other possibilities.

I previously said I’m Harry Potter to try to draw the night kill to myself. I suspect the lie worked, but then Earth protected me.
I protected whiteflame the first night, and Austin last night. Obviously no one tried to kill either of them.

Greyparrot is still my vote (didn't have it in place for fear of ending th DP prematurely).
If he's telling the truth, then he indeed has to help us catch scum to keep the game going; only after that is done does his incentive switch so as to prolonging the game. But we can't be sure he's telling the truth.

I really can't trust that level of trying to sneak past without defending yourself against a train. Whereas GP must catch a scum or lose, so a target he IDs gives us better odds (kinda like how a vig should always shoot). And Vader, he's become more calm, but he tends to panic as a scum until the heat is off him.
Still time for discussion of course, but...

For those who haven't played with me, I have my moments in the sun, but am otherwise mediocre. I mainly look for logical contradictions, and generalized bastard behavior (which is to say AOTBE, policy lynch Wylted!). I will not deny that I post fluff (just not spam). I will stand by the utility of dashboards, largely since I would have to keep one for myself anyways, and this helps errors get spotted.
I also do play the game to have fun.
So reads (seeing a lot of sudden voting, so going to try to make this fast)...
Austin
- Suggests that HP is a mod provided fake claim... Clearly someone who hasn't read the crossover books JK Rowling wrote under a pen-name for the trans community (I thought some of it was over the top, but that use of Polyjuice potion so that they could have a child together, was quite clever and touching).
whiteflame
- Vader copped innocent on him, and he is going after Vader. Safe to say they are not a scum team together (gambits happen, but this feels like an unnecessary one).

- Interesting seeing him play without RM. Last game I played with him, he acted incredibly anti-town, and yet proved to be town. This game he's just there...
Earth
- I hate to say lurky, but feels very lurky and moist. He wrote the mafia guides we use, so this seems uncharacteristically non-insightful.
Wylted
- Jokes aside about poly lynching him, where has his craziness gone? Anyone whose played with him recently know if this is his new MO?
Vader
- I do not trust the 1x cop claim at all. Not to copy wf, but yeah, this seems like the sole single use power in the game.
- Vader is the main person who taught me how to play mafia, and some of his lengthy defenses remind me of his scum behavior when the heat was on him... To over simplify, walls of text to confuse, then NK whomever was after him, and somehow the town would forget to lynch him afterward (it was like magic, some twisted dark magic; it shouldn't have worked, but it did, time and again).
Greyparrot
- I believe his TP claim, there's just something about the casualness of it. But we can't be sure. Either way, he'd a variable which in the long run won't help town as much as any actual town person.
- I've withheld voting him to not have an easy hammer available for scum if we get close to one of them; but he's my vote today.

I hadn't done the math on that, but I was thinking about the interesting incentives you have to manipulate which day things end via voting the right and wrong people.

A few thoughts on GP...
First, I don't fully understand the impulse to murder TP players. It feels more akin to a VNTL than scum hunting. I'm not opposed to it either, but with 48 hours remaining, there's no need to rush it (I'd prefer one less vote held on him, since if we pull attention to scum, they can lynch him to buy time).
Second, with only one NK, it's pretty safe to say he's not secretly Area trying to murder us (haven't read the books, but I watched season 1 of the show).
That said, if we don't find really viable lynch, I'm open to voting him off the island. I just think that should be plan b.

Assuming there is one scum among us, lynching anyone only fives a 1/4 chance of victory. Whereas, if we wait for night we have a shot.
While someone will inevitably take this game too seriously, and/or be ignorant to the Prisoner's Dilemma we're in, I propose the following:

- A night we each murder the person above us on the living players list.
- The person at the top o the list, kills the person at the bottom.\

I remembered that there's another character who fits Cop much better.
Cop is a very risky fake claim, as it's such a common role. Further, hosts are imperfect all the time in that regard.
I'll outright say for my own role and character, that there are bound to be better matches if someone reads enough of the books. Likely Pie wanted to have my character in the game, for balance wanted someone with my role in the game, and then made them fit.
