If you support trickle down economics, do you support printing money instead using tax?
-->
@Swagnarok
The main expenses in the budget are

1. military
2. Healthcare
3. Social security

Obviously, military budget should never be cut.

So that remains healthcare and social security.

Social security includes public schools, national services, welfare.

Healthcare includes covering costs for low income families.

Healthcare also includes(which in my opinion is bad) paying private workers per amount of work done. This motivates doctors and dentists to insist on unnecessary procedures to get more money from government, and patients agree because its not their money being wasted.

So yeah, I would say that system has many flaws. So, what to cut?

I keep having to remind you, you do not know your scriptures. I am not surprised you don't know why, although the bible makes clear why humans were created.
I feel like they are trying to re-write the Bible.

Bible in its original literal understanding is morally impossible to defend.

I understand why they are going for methaphorical understanding, but thats just going to add divisions to Christianity as each group has different understanding.

It would be desirable for Christians if some new Bible came to replace the old Bible, or just take out undesirable parts of the current Bible.

By undesirable, I mean parts about Hell, or about God killing or torturing people, or about God creating people.

If you support trickle down economics, do you support printing money instead using tax?
Trickle down economics say that if corporations, stores and wealthy get tax breaks, it will trickle down to everyone else through lower prices.

So, would you support printing money as a replacement for all taxes?

So instead of collecting 4 trillion in tax, you just print 4 trillion dollars.

Now, keep in mind that USA already prints trillions every year. It wouldnt be a significant change in printing.

However, printing money would mean that no money has to be spent on collecting taxes. Collecting taxes is expensive, because it employs lots of people.

Printing money might sound as unfair to the poor, but with no taxes, it also means everyone has more money.

And inflation has a delayed effect. It only comes into effect after printed money is mostly spent.
(Example: if you printed 10 trillions, but spent none, there would be no inflation because none of the printed money entered economy).

I know some of you will say "Germany printed lots of money and ended with mass inflation".

The difference is that printing can be limited. Germany printed too much money, much much more than few trillions per year, on a population much smaller than in USA.

So I am curious. How many of you think that printing money could/should replace taxes? It has already replaced good part of them, so can it replace all of them?

@YouFound_Lxam
Let's say you want to have a kid. So, you have a kid.
Then when that kid grows up, he blames you for all his struggles and pain.
He accuses you of creating the source of all his problems.
That is illogical, because you created the child for a different purpose. For a relationship.
Now why did you create that kid? I don't know.
Same with God.
Its not same with God.
If I knew that the person I make will be a bad person and will burn alive for eternity, it would be immoral to make that person.
So yes, people who give birth to children to a certain extent have excuse of not knowing. Your God doesnt, as he has omniscience.

We as humans have always had free will.
Free will doesnt solve the puzzle either.

Your Bible says that God created a man.

Therefore, even if God gave him free will, any bad deeds resulting from free will would be a result of God's action of giving free will.

@YouFound_Lxam
You can't create evil. You can tune into evil, by separation from God, but it's not a substance you can create.
You do realize that changing words changes nothing in the argument?

Replacing "creates evil" with "tune into evil", still the same cause: God.

So God creates people. People tune into evil. Therefore, God caused those people to tune into evil.

If you say: "no, he didnt", you would be again just denying the obvious causation, where people who tune into evil are result of God's action of creating them.

If he didnt create them, they wouldnt tune into evil and he wouldnt have to torture them forever.

There is no word which you can use about evil people, without God being the cause of them being evil.

Maybe your God doesnt have omniscience?

If I create a watch, and that watch tells time, did I create time?
You still dont understand how causation works. The watch didnt create the time.

because time has always existed before the watch has.  And you would be right. Same goes with evil.
Are you saying that evil people existed before God created them? Because you are making no sense.

I understand. It takes lots of logic twisting to justify Bible, because logically it cannot be justified.

So, God created us, but we suffer by our own doing
You do know how causation works?

God created humans. Humans created evil. Thus, God created evil.

There is simply no way to break the causation chain of responsibility, as your all knowing God knew in advance which humans will go to Hell for eternity. He still created them, therefore doomed them to eternity of pointless suffering.

Wait, you are asking me if I would want to be holy by me first choosing what is holy and then being that?

Well, most people would be satisfied with the label "morally good" by own standards, but sure, "holy" sounds good too.

Yes, I understand - an eye for an eye.  It is not about attacking someone who attacks you. It is about fairness in the response against someone who hurts you.
So when Christians and muslims condemn atheists and trans first, it follows that exact revenge is required, making current atheists here justified in their actions.

Is this still too complicated for you?

I presented an argument that condemning someone for being who they are does not provide an automatic cause to produce suicide.
So you are playing clueless again.

First, your example had nothing to do with trans people. So you are just punching strawman.

Second, no one ever claimed that everyone who is condemned will commit suicide.

The studies consistently show that trans persons who are condemned by their parents or environment are much more likely to commit suicide.

Therefore, condemning them would make them kill themselves at a higher rate.

Therefore, condemning them is wrong.

You go around saying how you dont condemn trans while at the same time defending the condemnation of trans.

There is only so much stupidity that you can use before it becomes too obvious.

No, I think they are beneficial to the site, since they mostly debate Christians and muslims. You do understand how Lex talionis works? @Tradesecret
And here is some more science related to Christianity:

"LGBTQ youth who report not hearing their parents use religion to say negative things about being LGBTQ were at significantly reduced risk for attempting suicide in the past year, regardless of whether religion was important to them. Overall, half (51%) of youth reported not hearing their parents use religion to say negative things about being LGBTQ, with lower rates among youth who said religion was important to them (44%). When adjusting for other related factors, LGBTQ youth who had not heard their parents use religion to say negative things about being LGBTQ were at half the risk for attempting suicide in the past year compared to those who had."

Some Christians have blamed the leftists because their trans kids committed suicide, but we can see who is really at fault.

Social condemnation DOES NOT cause suicide.  The studies simply do not stand up.
Every Christian rejects science.

You know when you teach your kids that being gay is abomination? That being trans is abomination?

What happens next is that your kids then go and bully trans kids because you brainwashed them to do so.

Of course, you cant understand this and you cant understand how condemnation causes suicides.

Honestly, your comment is filled with too much stupidity, so I dont see a point wasting my time trying to correct your every error. You will just come back again in a few weeks saying same nonsense. Its not worth the effort on my side, so I picked your dumbest point and lets see where that takes us.

"The suicide attempt rate among transgender persons ranges from 32% to 50% across the countries. Gender-based victimization, discrimination, bullying, violence, being rejected by the family, friends, and community; harassment by intimate partner, family members, police and public; discrimination and ill treatment at health-care system are the major risk factors that influence the suicidal behavior among transgender persons."

"“While [ages 15-17] can be an exciting time, it is also very stressful, as adolescents experience a lot of peer pressure and can feel very isolated. This is especially true for those who express gender and sexuality in a nonconforming way.”"

"“[W]hile bullying and cyberbullying is an important factor, it is not the only factor. Other factors related to feeling supported at home, at school, and in their communities are likely also very important.”"

"Overall, Dr. Colman said his team’s findings clearly show that gender and sexual minority youth need better support.
“They need safe places where they can explore and express their true selves,” he explained. “Furthermore, they need to be consulted and included when suicide prevention programs are designed. They know better than we do as to what will serve them best.”"

I mean, Hell is mentioned in the Bible, so to claim that Bible doesnt say what it obviously says...

Might as well just make the new Bible, just this time take out all the parts which dont suit this century.

So maybe just keep nice parts of the Gospels and a bit of Acts, and some peaceful parts of the Old Testament. Thats the only way Bible fits modern times.

I am better now. All it took was drinking water to flush out whatever was causing the poisoning, while not eating anything to prevent adding to the poisoning, and some pills for pain to be able to sleep.

I actually read somewhere that harmful bacteries in your body's digestive system tend to die or be flushed out sooner if you dont eat food at all, since they feed on the food you eat and they cant reproduce well without that food.

"Use of North Korean missiles in Ukraine will help the US figure out how effective they really are"

"Russia's use of North Korean missiles in Ukraine will help us figure out how effective they actually are on the battlefield, military analysts said.
South Korea's ambassador to the UN accused North Korea of using Ukraine as a "test site" for its nuclear-capable missiles on Wednesday.
Joonkook Hwang said Russia used them in attacks on December 30, January 2, and January 4."

First, what must be said is that this article thinks that North Korean missiles used in Ukraine will be same as the ones that would be used in war with North Korea.

This article obviously doesnt understand North Korean military first policy, which prioritizes North Korean military over military of its allies.

It is very unlikely that North Korea would give its best missiles to Russia in an amount that would be equal to their use in South's war with North Korea.

Russia might get few good missiles from North Korea in exchange for technological secrets, but to claim that any calculation can be made about their effectiveness is unrealistic.

This is because in case of war with North Korea, it wouldnt be just mass amount of nuclear weapons that would be used most at once to break holes in defense, but also biological weapons and artillery all at once. This would be very different from simple conventional weapons used in Ukraine and a slow, defensive way of warfare.

In fact, even if South Korea could stop 80% of North Korean nuclear missiles in first wave assuming 100 nuclear missiles, it would still mean that at least 20 nuclear weapons would hit South Korea, which would create massive holes in defenses making further defense almost impossible. Ukraine has not faced the same, but still struggles to stop missiles and drones.

Reality is that war in Ukraine cannot be a basis for any calculation about North Korea.

homosexuality is still considered sinful
Social condemnnation causes suicide, so its same as killing. New Testament condemns homosexuality.

Christians don't want to kill trans.
Yet they condemn them all the time, increasing suicide rates, therefore killing them.

The Bible is clear about this - that rape is wrong and sinful
You do realize that Bible Old Testament forces victim to marry her rapist? And Bible New Testament says that husband has a right to rape a woman because her body doesnt belong to her. I am pretty sure you know what I am talking about.

Many Christians don't believe it is ok to beat children.
So many Christians refuse to follow the Bible?

What I want to do is not necessarily what is the best thing to do.

The trolley problem - Rules vs Consequentialism - Are rules to be used by most people?
"The trolley problem is a thought experiment in ethics about a fictional scenario in which an onlooker has the choice to save 5 people in danger of being hit by a trolley, by diverting the trolley to kill just 1 person."

The trolley problem gives you a choice to take action that kills 1 person, or take no action which results in 5 people being killed but not because of you.

Now, rules would say:
Its always wrong to kill innocents.
Therefore, you acting to kill 1 innocent person would be wrong even if it saves 5 lives as its result.

Consequentialism based on life or happiness would say:
Action that contains harm, but is more beneficial than harmful, is a good action.
Therefore, such consequentialism would justify the action that kills 1 person to save 5.

Consequentialism based on reduction of pain would argue that its same either way, as those 5 people would likely experience a lot of pain in life and even cause pain, so saving them this one time does not guarantee a reduction in pain.

But what I noticed is that most people are incapable of comparing benefits and harms. In fact, most people fall for bias and search only those information which support their view. Therefore, most people are not capable to use consequentialism in a way that its supposed to be used. This is why for them, its better to rely on rules.

The basic rules, such as do not lie, are often violated by people who think it brings some greater benefit. But ultimately, it produces a society of liars, because you cannot lie and expect that nobody else does the same.

But if morality is arbitrary to everyone, then what's the point of political parties?  How elections should be done is anyone with over .5% national support runs in one general election (if there are 20 people, fine).  On the top 5 issues to Americans, every candidate has to state their opinion as honestly and as detailed as they can.  The candidates then can also have 5 issues that they in particular care about that are not on the top 5 for the American public, and every candidate runs on 10 issues; the candidates rank their issues from most important to least important out of the 10, and then that's their personal platform.
Political parties tend to ignore will of majority. Well, the system in USA doesnt elect according to majority in USA. If it did, Trump would never become president.

How can one be happy if you take away their freedom?  If someone has infinite freedom, they do whatever makes them the happiest.
There are cases where individual's freedom is violated to achieve happiness for more people.
For example, plenty of civilians die in wars and its often thought of as justified despite being the most obvious violation of freedom.
