Updated list of survival foods - You are probably going to need this if nuclear war happens
Also, about tree catkins, I need to say that green small catkins are much easier to chew than fully formed catkins.

Same principle applies to leaves. Smaller, non-formed leaves, buds are easier to chew than fully formed leaves.

Updated list of survival foods - You are probably going to need this if nuclear war happens
Keep in mind that some species of plants are poisonous, thus you shouldnt eat anything you cant identify.

Everything you find in wild you should identify to know its not poisonous, harmful or containing toxic waste.

This is meant as education for survival situations, its not complete and you shouldnt rely on this alone.

If you have some food to add to this list, feel free to do so by commenting below.

1. Algae

Its basically plants that grow under water, in rivers or seas. Some are poisonous while some are edible and even available during winter.

2. Tree catkins

Probably the single most common food in forests. Many trees produce edible catkins, only some produce poisonous ones. Squirrels eat tree catkins when nuts arent available.

3. Willow leaves

Willow leaves are painkillers. They contain elements which reduce pain. They are also edible in small amounts.

4. Dandelion leaves

Dandelion is an invasive plant, but its also edible. It does have a poisonous look alike.

5. Dandelion flowers

6. Dandelion wine

You can make wine from dandelion flowers, although making your own alcohol could introduce more risk of poisoning, since home made alcohol has poor safety record.

7. Dandelion roots

Dandelion roots are only good in spring while they are soft. After that they become too hard to chew.

8. Tree bark

Many animals eat tree bark, but they never eat too much. Small amount of tree bark from safe tree is safe to eat, but never eat too much because tree bark can cause constipation if eaten in too large amounts.

9. Soil

Many animals eat soil, including monkeys. Its not really known if soil is safe, if its beneficial for humans, or what benefits it adds. Still, its worthy of mention so that more research can be made about it.

10. Tree leaves

Some trees have edible leaves.

11. Tree nuts

These are most calorie dense foods in the world. For example, walnuts have about 700 calories in 100 grams. Some nuts need to be cooked before you can eat them.

12. Tree fruit

Fruit is also high value food which adds both taste and calories.

13. Berries

These are, just like fruit, very significant in value, but hard to find.

14. Mushrooms

Mushrooms are one of those things which are both scary and attractive. They are scary because many of these can kill you if you eat them.

They are attractive because if one knows enough to make difference between poisonous and non-poisonous, he gains a very valuable food source.

15. Eggs (from birds nests)

Birds eggs arent going to add much, but they will add some nutrition necessary for survival.

16. Nests containing nuts, animals

Squirrels nests often contain nuts. Nests can also contain small animals if you feel like being a meat eater.

17. Grass seeds

Probably a bad food source. Grass seeds are actually better choice to feed chickens with than for human consumption.

18. Insects

Insects are plenty in nature. Insects such as grasshoppers are very nutritious. The only problem is utter disgust caused by people eating them.

19. Fish

Fishing is a useful skill. While some fish are dangerous or poisonous, many are edible.

For fishing, one just needs rod, silk and hook.

The bait is found easily in nature, since insects can be used as bait.

20. Hunted animals

I am not sure how much hunting skills would help, but these usually require some skills about making weapons or traps.

Now, it helps if you already have a weapon.

21. Hunted birds

Birds are easy to hunt. Some people even manage to hunt them with slingshot.

22. Buds that are small leaves from trees

New, young leaves from trees are easier to chew than formed leaves.

23. Tree sap

Some trees produce sap which happens to be edible, so it adds to available food.

24. Honey

This one is probably the most dangerous food source, since it is usually protected by hundreds of bees capable  of killing a person.

Yet it contains significant amount of calories.

Keep in mind that this is just a list. Each of these needs to be further researched to learn whats safe, what species and types are safe, how to prepare... how to process...ect.

No one should use this list as a guide itself, but rather as a point to which potential food sources need to be researched more.

Abortion
-->
@YouFound_Lxam
Not if the being holding the authority for morality is all powerful and the ultimate authority.
No, it still applies same logic, that morality would be a product of its mind, thus depend on mind.

So in Nazi Germany, it wasn’t wrong to hunt down Jews?
Sure, I think it was wrong due to lowering quality of life, and majority was even clueless about.

Neither weigh more. EVERYONE is equal and created in the image of GOD.
We have already discussed this mathematical problem. If two persons are equal, then two worth more than one.

So you’re promoting eugenics?
I am promoting abortion, which is proven to increase both quality of life and life expectancy. Its simple.

So if someone has bad quality of life, and they are in pain we should just kill them? And I’m not talking about letting them die. I’m talking about killing them. Against their will. Cause that’s what abortion is.
Many people who are in great pain prefer death over life, thus harm caused by birth is greater.

Is that statement you just made objectively true?
As much as you trust your eyes. Of course, there are people who dont trust their eyes. Heh.

Doesn’t answer my objection.
It does. I dont really plan to play this forward backward game with you. Either claim either bye.

It literally is. Millions of lives are saved.
Show a source that says banning abortion saves lives. We know that ban kills people by reducing life expectancy.

Should we just give serial killers body armor to protect them from police bullets?
Murder is wrong. Just because it won’t stop doesn’t give a justification for allowing and protecting it.
If your goal isnt to stop abortions or reduce their number significantly, then ban is pointless. What now?

In any other case it’s their choice so no. In the rape cases is the rapist choice so no either.
Its also your choice, since you choose to force woman to give birth by denying her of abortion.

Things can have multiple causes. Thats how "if, then" works. If you deny woman of abortion, then she

is forced to give birth. She is forced by your action of denying her a safe abortion. Simple enough.

Its a solid movie. I have to say that final battle seems a bit non-satisfying, but its not that bad.

I like the freedom vs safety theme it tries to paint: people giving up wishes in exchange for safety.

I liked Bolt movie more. Some disney movies are much better than others. Some earned much more money.

Its not enough that smart students get bullied and have to put up with horrible teachers, bad education.

It isnt enough that school is such that they are overburdened with 1000 subjects they will never need.

But they also have to pay insane amounts of money to go further in education, live in debt.

If you have to pay for education, then being educated is a privilege, not a right. No rights. Just privileges.

I am smart enough to know that rights dont actually exist, and I didnt even go to college.

There should be an increase in people who have education, but some people think education is for rich only.

Regardless, the Donohue–Levitt hypothesis (that legalised abortion significantly reduced crime in America) is almost certainly false.
Homicide rates and property crime rates have all decreased. I dont see what confuses you in this statistic.

pointed out that Mr Levitt had used the total number of arrests, which depends on the size of a population, and not the arrest rate, which does not
This makes no sense, since population increased, so if number of arrests decreased, then rate decreased as well.

However, I wasnt talking of arrests, but of property crime rate reduction and homicide reduction. Plenty of statistics.

Alternative to Neural Links >< Then Wafers
In the United States, approximately 40,000 people were lobotomized and in England, 17,000 lobotomies were performed.

According to one estimate, in the three Nordic countries of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, a combined figure of approximately 9,300 lobotomies were performed.[140]

Scandinavian hospitals lobotomized 2.5 times as many people per capita as hospitals in the US.[141] According to another estimate, Sweden lobotomized at least 4,500 people between 1944 and 1966, mainly women. This figure includes young children.[142]

And in Norway, there were 2,005 known lobotomies.[143] In Denmark, there were 4,500 known lobotomies.[144]

In Japan, the majority of lobotomies were performed on children with behaviour problems. The Soviet Union banned the practice in 1950 on moral grounds.[145][146][147]

The originator of the procedure, Portuguese neurologist António Egas Moniz, shared the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine of 1949 for the "discovery of the therapeutic value of leucotomy in certain psychoses",[n 1] although the awarding of the prize has been subject to controversy.[4]

The use of the procedure increased dramatically from the early 1940s and into the 1950s; by 1951, almost 20,000 lobotomies had been performed in the United States and proportionally more in the United Kingdom.[5]

A large number of patients were gay men.[6] More lobotomies were performed on women than on men: a 1951 study found that nearly 60% of American lobotomy patients were women, and limited data shows that 74% of lobotomies in Ontario from 1948 to 1952 were performed on female patients.[7][8][9] From the 1950s onward, lobotomy began to be abandoned,[10] first in the Soviet Union[11] and Europe.[12]

Most people dont have their priorities set, cant weigh values, dont know whats important, cant think in premises...

When you look at people explaining why they vote for someone, you can see that they are clueless.

Anyone saying "I vote for person because Few jobs saved here and there, few billions saved..." is retarded.

The goal is not to save few billions or few jobs when trillions of dollars are being wasted everywhere.

Green energy does need to be supported, but not by trillions of dollars all payed by US citizens.

Government should manage economy by reducing negative buisnesses, through taxing or banning them, or not allowing their spread.

However, funding failed buisnesses is a path to Soviet economy which failed exactly because of endlessly funding failed buisnesses.

If buisness is necessary on the market, it will succeed, so no government funding necessary to support any buisness.

US government's official site suggests lowering age of consent to 14
-->
@ADreamOfLiberty
""Anthony*, a 14-year-old autistic boy, was making awkward overtures to his crush. Other kids thought the courtship was cute until, according to his attorney, Nicole Pittman of Impact Justice , Anthony got frustrated and sent his crush a picture of his genitals. "Parents flipped out," Pittman told Broadly, explaining that they requested authorities press charges against the teen. Now, Anthony is listed on the sex offender registry. He can no longer attend school or even be left alone in a room with his little brothers.

"As a person on the registry, you're considered a sex offender, and sex offenders can't be with children under the age of 17," Pittman explains. "In one moment he can be [Anthony] who is on the spectrum, but the minute this happens, all of that goes out the window and he becomes in people's eyes a predator—that's not the truth. That's not who these kids are. They are young kids on the spectrum."

Pittman has been defending children like Anthony for 12 years, and says there are still several thousand juveniles on the sex offender registry in the State of Michigan.

Some of these children were on the autism spectrum or struggling with disabilities, but most judges have refused to make exceptions, citing what Pittman describes as a "one size fits all" policy. Pittman, along with other lawyers and social workers, is fighting to change these laws and educate the public about the true cost of their unilateral enforcement.

Pittman identifies Michigan-based social worker Susan H. Rogers as a leader in the cause. Owner of the Parent Counseling and Consulting, PLC, Rogers began diving deeper into the problem 11 years ago, when she was asked to join the Professional Advisory Board for a Useful Registry in Michigan examining sex offender laws and their impact on disabled people and juveniles. "People on [a] sex offender registry don't get second chances," she told Broadly in a phone call. "'This person has a disability. We'll take them off the registry'—no, it doesn't happen like that."

"Most times with children there is no sexual [motivation]," Pittman explains, but "the moment the touching looks sexual, though, society labels them pedophiles." Rogers added that "it doesn't matter if a person is on the spectrum. They're going to be treated like any sex offender." When an autistic child pulls his pants down in a grocery store, Pittman explains, "We look at [the situation] from the lens [of] a 50 year old man [flashing people]."

Minors are not listed publicly on the sex offender registry, but they're forbidden from attending school because that's where children congregate. Once they turn 18, most states require them to register on the public sex offender list with an identifying photo. Children like Anthony would be identified as child pornography distributors for sending nude selfies, and required to disclose their status as a registered sex offender to any employers in some states. "There's a lot of homelessness and depression [because people can't get jobs]," Pittman explains. "We have a whole new generation of victims on this law."

Pittman has interviewed 500 registered kids. While only some were on the autism spectrum, she says all of them have been victims of abuse. "We are putting people on [a] registry who should be protected," she declares. Pittman believes that judges understand the problem but are reluctant to treat children with autism differently than adult offenders, recalling one judge who told her, "I understand what you're saying, but I'll be looked at as soft on sex offenders."

Police officers, on the other hand, seem more open to change, according to Pittman. She points to a Michigan boarding school where cops have made an effort to reduce conflict by asking for help communicating with children with autism. "Law enforcement is really seeing this happening and really want to get involved and say, 'These aren't the people who want to be on the registry,'" Pittman explains.

Michigan has pioneered the effort to change how authorities treat children with autism. For nearly 20 years, the 17th Circuit Court of Kent County has allowed children to plead to what D'Orio describes as a "a lesser, non-registerable offense." In 2011, Michigan passed an amendment to the Michigan Sex Offender Registry allowing children "who committed an offense under [the] age of 14" to be removed. "Six-year-olds were on it," Pittman recalls. "Three thousand children came off [the list that year]."

Pittman and Rogers agree that the biggest problems facing children with autism are misunderstandings about their behavior, especially when it comes to sexuality. According to Pittman, the US defunded research on childhood sexuality in 1950. "All the benchmarks we use are the 1950s, when there weren't [nude] selfies and what," she says. "We have no measures in this country to understand what normal childhood sexuality is."

Rogers hosts seminars where teens on the autism spectrum can ask dating questions, and instructs teachers and parents how to understand and communicate with autistic children. When asked how we might help keep children like Anthony from being unfairly labeled as sex offenders, Rogers responded, "Education, education, education.""

Yes. Neither candidate has a working plan nor has come up with explanation how will they fix US economy.

The actual plan for achieving greater success for 340 million people is non-existent in both candidates. They have nothing.

Kamala wants to raise taxes on rich and reduce taxes on middle class, which should benefit middle class.

Trump wants to reduce taxes on the rich while taxing middle class more by indirect means (tarrifs, money printing).

Sure, one could say that Trump's "trickle down economics" might indirectly have some benefits for middle, lower class.

But there is one crucial thing missing in both candidates. Neither wants to reduce spending. Both increase it.

This is very important because there is no actual way to fix economy if government spending keeps rising.

Every dollar in government budget is taken from US citizens and used mostly in much less effective way.

Not all research agrees with each other. Scientists take specific cases to make general conclusions. Mistakes can happen.

It happens that general conclusion of one scientist contradicts general conclusion of the other, due to error or difference.

I never said it was size. I said a greater mind. A mind that determines morality for all of us would have to be greater.
It would still be the product of the mind, no matter how great the mind is. So still subjective value thing.

Ok. So, society determines morality then?
If the Nazi's were in charge, would it be morally good do help hunt down Jews?
Society determines which morality is most popular and most valuable to most people. Needs of the many vs few.

You cannot logically explain why goals of few outweigh goals of many. Simple math about what weighs more.

Sure, I do often disagree with majority, but per principle of equality, they do outweigh me by far.

Besides, you are debating to convince people, and so far majority remains not convinced. Most support abortion now.

As would I. Doesn't mean you get to disregard the people with those illnesses and throw them away
So a dichotomy choice between healthy person and severely ill person makes it obvious who you should produce, no?

Ok good. And is there a reason or reasons for that or just that it can't feel pain.
Reducing pain of born people, improving quality of life of born people, reducing death rates of born people...

Are there objective truths?
Thats irrelevant to this debate, but there are observable truths, which are closest to objective truth there is.

So, your value in humans is their quality in life. How do you know someone suffering might rise out of it?
How do you know someone successful might fall?
Is that really the way you want to determine worth and value?
We know by tautology that women have more liberty if they have a choice to have abortion or not.

We also know by statistics of death rates, liberty, life expectancy and many other, that legal abortion benefits.

No, the purpose of banning abortion is to prevent the murder of children.
That goal is not really achieved. It just makes most of those women have unsafe abortions instead safe.

If someone was raped, the only one forcing them to give birth would be the rapist.
You would be forcing women to give birth by denying them of abortion. Its not "you or rapist".

Capable surely, but the reason they do stupid things more than adults is not because they are incapable of reasoning but because they don't have the wisdom
Many people dont have wisdom. Lack of wisdom isnt really the basis for taking away choices. It is absurd.

People gain wisdom by making choices, thus preventing people from making choices prevents even more wisdom as result.

The text compared countries where age of consent was 14 and found no worse outcomes than where its 18.

At what age or circumstance is sexual education to be given to children?
The sooner you tell children what sex is
and dangers involving it, the better for them, statistically speaking about benefits.

Children who are clueless about sex
will learn about it anyway from peers or from movies. Its everywhere.

So logically, its better if children learn about
dangers of sex as soon as possible, and learn alternatives.

I dont see the point of protecting
