Glad you see the light. But, why is Moozer town to you.
It's one half gut feeling and one half the weird, complex way he described how his role works. Basically, he said there's two different paths it could take and one of them can confirm him as town, but not until DP3. It's the kind of weird thing that I can definitely see being in a highly customized game but that I don't think a mafia likely would have pulled out of thin air.

Okay, I looked back through the thread and this whole altercation started when Pie accused Savant of claiming a scummy role and doing scummy behavior by stealing Earth's vote despite not suspecting him. I don't necessarily scumread Savant for assuming that being confirmed as the vote thief would put him in the clear, but I do think the fact that he suggested not giving the vig power to anyone at all, combined with him stealing Earth's vote, makes him tilt a bit scum. I'd be fine with doing a VTNL, but I actually think Savant has a point in bringing up the fact that the mafia could potentially roleblock/redirect the vigilante kill and then everything will have been a waste. I also don't want us to waste the vig though. For now, I'm not going to vote, but I do think we still should lynch somebody and find somebody to give the 'shirt' to. Moozer and Pie are my top townreads right now, but Savant obviously won't agree on giving it to pie, so maybe we give it to Moozer.

I'll be honest, I went along with Savant because I'm still not used to the plethora of roles used in Mafia and I assumed that vote thief/Robin Hood would be a town role. And while I do believe Savant that it is usually, in a game with a lot of custom roles like this one, I don't think we can assume that's the case. I also don't want us to make the mistake of relying too much on 'confirmable' roles. So for now, I'm going to

Anyway, since everyone has stated their actual characters now, if anyone has a clearly negative utility role, they should claim it now. Austin says a lot of the roles are custom-made, so there might not be anything as simple as Miller or PGO, but still, if there are any roles like that out there, now is the right time to claim.

Okay, looks like things have been pretty slow going so far, which makes sense I guess since the thread was created only later in the day. I'm not going to be on much for right now, due to being at work, but also due to having a toothache and generally feeling crappy because of it.

I'm not sure how to feel about that. It's a bit surprising that he didn't claim that earlier, but maybe not that surprising considering how multiple people wanted to lynch him. Still, I have to wonder why he waited until now.

Sorry everyone, I slept in pretty late. Some thoughts:
- Still don't want to vote for Austin at this stage. The whole beef between him, Savant, and Wylted started with Austin voting Savant just to get a reaction, Savant got upset and it all spiraled from there, but I don't think any of the evidence brought up against Austin was very compelling. I'm not familiar enough with anyone to do meta-reads yet, but for now I'll just say Austin leans town for me.
- I feel the same way about Moozer as I did yesterday. His progression from "Austin is town" to "Austin is probably scum, let's lynch him" just feels so unnatural to me. The fact that he felt the need to defensively say "I'm not bandwagoning" just makes me more convinced that he's doing exactly that.
- Savant's behavior is a bit off-putting, but given his Cop claim, he's town in my book for now, unless something happens later to make me change my mind. The last game had two investigative roles but no Cop, so it could be a false claim, though given how no one else but me had claimed any specific role, that's highly unlikely. It would be a really ballsy claim on Savant's part.
- Wylted's behavior is hard for me to read. He's got that trollish side to his personality like Best.Korea. That said, I feel like his relentless pursuit of Austin was more likely indicative of tunneling than being scum.
- Behaviorally speaking, I townread Luna. It's mostly just a gut feeling, but there's also the point that WF brought up -- he probably wouldn't be defending Austin this hard unless they were scum partners, and I very much doubt that at this point.
- Speaking of Whiteflame, he's hard for me to read since he's such an experienced player, but I do get a slight townread off of him. It's partly due to his resistance to joining the anti-Austin wagon, and partly just a gut feeling.
- Null read on everyone else I haven't mentioned so far.

There's a lot going on here. I have had an exhausting week at work and my mind is not at full capacity. I'll reread the DP either when I get home or tomorrow morning. For now, I'm not convinced about voting for Austin. I actually think Moozer is a better target, for largely the same reasons as Whiteflame: his progression from saying that Austin is townsided to voting to lynch him feels very unnatural to me and seems a lot more like scum bandwagoning. I'm not going to vote yet, though. Like I said, I want to reread everything first.

I largely agree with Moozer's thoughts, with the one caveat that I'm not going to lynch Savant this DP unless their cop claim gets cc'ed. For now, most players are a null read for me.

Also I guess I should let you know that I believe in pretty much always having a vote on somebody unless we are at LYLO or MYLO or unless I am keeping the vote off to delay a lynch in an effort to reduce town errors
Yeah, from what I've gathered so far it seems like the players here in general like to go for the DP1 lynch. This is counter to my intuitions, as unless someone is particularly sus or there's a strong reason for lynching someone, you're a lot more likely to end up killing a townie. But the wisdom of the experienced says to go for the kill anyway. I don't quite understand why, but I'll go along with it. I'm still not convinced we should vote for Savant yet. If it comes down to the wire, maybe, but I feel like we should wait until at least a couple more role claims come out. Has anyone even claimed their role except for me?

I understand that. For me the thing that made me sus you a bit is not that you scumread Savant, but that you actually jumped to voting for him before there was any further discussion. Yes, obviously we want to lynch scum, and that's why we should take our time and not rush things. Scum benefit when there is little discussion before a vote.
And as for the emoji I used, it's actually supposed to be a gender-neutral one, but it doesn't actually display like that on all platforms. It shows up correctly on my phone but not on my pc. I actually prefer they/them, but if you want to use she/her that's fine too I guess.

You have to weigh whether the benefit town gets from knowing the SOP is greater than this. I don't really think that's the case with this particular role, since if town is really so divided that we can't agree to a lynch after an entire day of discussion, then it's better to have a negative utility role eliminated for POE.

Alright, putting aside Wylted's weird and unrelated posts, I actually find myself in the same boat as Austin in that I don't have any clear scumreads on anyone.
Regarding negative utility roles that tend to get claimed early, I think my role might count? It's not a role like PGO which can cause a whole lot of chaos, but it's not really good for the town either.
