In looking the character up a bit more, it's not so black and white but still sus. What do you think about this:
When Larry Underwood and Ralph Brentner are scheduled for a public execution by dismemberment, Whitney is the only one in Las Vegas to stand up and denounce the proceedings, condemning them as barbaric. He tells the crowd "we was Americans once" that "this ain't how Americans act", taking them to task for going along with the execution because "some murdering freak in cowboy boots" willed it. But his words fail to spark a revolt. Flagg retaliates by flicking an energy-ball at Whitney that seals his mouth shut and then his eyes. Whitney falls forward, but it is not specified whether he has been killed, or is just maimed and unconscious. Either way, moments later the Trashcan Man arrives, hauling a nuclear warhead out of the desert and into the assembled crowd. The ball of energy summoned by Flagg to attack Whitney transforms into the "hand of God" and detonates the weapon, destroying Las Vegas and vaporizing everyone at ground zero.

I didn't feel strongly enough on any reads to take the risk based on the MYLO/LYLO situation (at least I didn't then -- I'm about to make a case against Supa). I think if Elminster promised to play to his win con but then flaked out the second a slight disagreement came up, he's prob faking, and I'd def lynch him if he refused to claim. But at the same time if we're close to losing per 1 mislynch I'd prefer to play cautious. Regardless I never committed to No Lynching so no need to nitpick for no reason.
Back to Supa. I didn't want to look into characters too much (in fact I didn't even read the dead character flips) JUST IN CASE I ever wanna read the book which I doubt but you never know. However I couldn't help but look up Supa's character which is a fucking bad guy lol. Whitney Horgan is a villain, and apparently he only wants to desert the other bad guys because shit has already gone bad. That's literally what Reddit says and notes it's not an admirable reason to desert his fellow bad guys. So although I hate to go by theme analysis alone I really think Supa might be lone wolf scum or scum of some kind. Ya'll are more than welcome to look up his character.
Note I'm not going based on theme analysis alone here but also behavior. He's playing a bit more aggressive like he does as scum. Look at post #191 where he seems to think I was calling him inactive this day phase (I wasn't; I said I didn't buy his reason for allegedly being active today 12/8). I mean I'm not entirely sure how to read claiming vanilla with only 2 votes and could see an argument either way, but coupled with his seemingly defensive behavior and that super sus character claim I feel very wary of him.

I believe that if you have even the faintest whiff of scum read on someone, then that takes precedence over not lynching anyone.
Dude, no one is in agreement over anything in Mafia.

@drafterman
So you've concluded that Mikal is scum either way. Yet you'd prefer a No Lynch?
No. I said I'm leaning toward a No Lynch, not that I'm definitely voting No Lynch. That's why I said I'm not rushing the day phase. And I said "the rage seems a lil fake" but that doesn't necessarily mean he is scum. I do happen to have him more in my lean scum pile based on what little behavioral reads we have to go on. Now that we have Supa's claim I'll think about whether I want to pressure Elminster for a claim.

I'm learning toward VTNL but def not gonna rush it.
Chris and Ragnar haven't said anything. We'll have no idea how to read and vote in later day phases if there's nothing to defer to. I'd scum read Chris' activity except for the fact that he played the same way in the last few games with him and he was town every time. He needs to make a post or else he's nothing but a liability.
Speaking of liabilities, Parrot played like a piece of shit. Not like shit, cuz that would only refer to his game play being shit, but a piece of shit as in he as a person was being shitty cuz he intentionally hurt his team for no reason. Not sure how I'm going to vtl Pie first in each game with so many people playing like children who missed their nap time.
Pie is actually the only one in my town pile which is why I'm leaning toward NL right now. There are 3-4 scum among 9. Usually I'd like those odds to lynch cuz even if we chose blindly we're statistically likely to hit scum, but I don't have enough faith in any reads right atm. First off I've repeatedly said I can't read Pie (I just so happen to agree with his analysis in this game) and secondly he claimed Miller after 8 players had already posted. Then again his willingness to be policy lynched felt town and so did his inquisition of certain players. I agree with him that Supa's temperament seems sus af so I'm probs gonna vote to lynch Supa for a claim.
Re: Mikal, I agree with drafter that the rage seems a lil fake cuz he did it again for no reason, but I wouldn't be surprised if Mikal and drafter were working together (who knows!) creating fake tension. Then again Supa turning on drafter and going after him felt a bit phony too so I dunno but behaviorally I don't trust him and want his claim. I feel like getting a claim from Supa is absolutely the best course of action and it seems like a lot of others are being rubbed the wrong way as well. I don't buy his reason for inactivity either. I honestly scum read that as lazily trying to hope the DP just ends and/or town implodes on itself while he's away.

The day phase started at 6:58. I'm inactive cuz I hadn't signed on by 9:43? Ya'll are cray cray but anyway I g2g read 8 pages in between work calls. I'll make a post ASAP which I assume will be within the next 15 mins - 3 hours depending on how my morning goes. BRB!

"She's one of those teachers who tries to radicalize her kids. Blacks good, whites bad." Exact quote. He said this in a group of white guys
In other words you never heard the teacher say this; it's a paraphrased and (clearly) overgeneralization of someone's perspective of this teacher. I would bet my life she doesn't say "blacks good, whites bad" so this is just feeding into the narrative of people stereotyping teachers as liberal hacks.
Re: public school, my wife actually had a falling out with her best friend over a similar misunderstanding. Her friend claimed that she knew someone whose kid was 10 years old and claimed to be LGBT (or something) based on learning about LGBT issues in school. So the friend told my wife she was never sending her kid to public school because clearly mandatory LGBT education in school is why the 10 year old said that. Meanwhile the law requires middle and HS students are exposed to the contribution or civil rights issues of gay people in history -- it's not telling kids to go have gay sex. But that's the misguided and false narrative of public schools "brainwashing" kids any time they try to teach something that highlights past or present injustice. Obviously some lib college professors are over the top, but they generally don't peddle outright falsehoods.

By the way, when I said "racism is problematic for people" and you replied with I really don't give a fuck about this meaningless statement, it validates everything I said earlier. It's only meaningless to you because you're self-centered and prioritize your own problems which is absolutely your prerogative. But it's still a problem, and pretending it doesn't exist or isn't worth calling out because you don't give a fuck about it is intellectually dishonest and morally wrong. Just because you have problems of your own doesn't make you any less of a little bitch (in my opinion) for being too lazy and disinterested to call out bigotry which hurts people. It takes little to no effort to do the right thing and say "that's wrong." You just don't want to because you're a partisan cuckservative like I said. You refuse to "side with the libs" even at the expense of perpetuating lies which hurts others. Sad.

I never said racism is the biggest problem in America. You literally just made that up and got yourself all riled up about something I never said or even implied. AGAIN.
Lockdowns aren't racist; they're inanimate. The people who initiate lockdowns don't have racist motives. The goal is to curb the spread of an airborne virus. Brown people tend to work in the service industry or in jobs where you can't work from home, hence being more impacted by shut downs to businesses. Liberals are the ones who want to ensure those people have safety nets to fall back on.
I'm not going to call the lockdowns "racist" because doing so would be incredibly stupid and nonsensical. The things I call racist actually are racist.

You claim to not be bothered by the (alleged) discrimination against you, but perhaps that's because there are other ways for you around it by your own admission. Obviously people without ways around discrimination would be very bothered by their lack of opportunities. Maybe you should have empathy for them instead of touting that you have other options and therefore the problems don't matter.
I understand that you might have a more pressing concern than job discrimination, i.e. a health diagnosis. But just because you personally have, or there generally exists, to be greater problems than racism in a particular scenario does not mean that racism doesn't exist nor that it isn't problematic for people. Similarly hearing about it all the time on the MSM doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist. You will probably cherry pick a few examples where it's exaggerated and use that to disregard the millions of examples where it's not. That isn't logical. It's biased and factually incorrect.
All you're doing is basically saying that because you personally have had obstacles that other people's obstacles don't matter to you. ALL PROBLEMS MATTER. (See what I did there?) It's fine to prioritize the problems that impact you the most, but it takes little to no effort to call out bigotry and right-wing bullshit when you see it. It's as easy as calling out left-wing bullshit which you do all the time. Your choice to not stand up for what's right against racism, falsehoods and other discrimination is just lazy and shameful for aforementioned reasons.
I never heard of racist bees.

I don't know how I can explain this any more clearly to you, but I have no idea why you keep referencing the media. I have never once told you to trust the MSM. I have never once told you to trust "the elites." I have never once told you to blindly trust authority. I have never suggested you or anyone should be outraged by anything and everything. In fact, I have readily agreed that a lot of that is bullshit. The fact that you keep bringing up the media/ authority/ elites in your responses to me when I have never once referenced or even remotely suggested anything about what you're responding is truly mind boggling to me.
I think all politics is personal. I appreciate you bringing your personal experience to this conversation (as much as you're willing to share, in the forums or in a private chat) because it helps explain your perspective. To be honest I don't understand what you're referring to when you mention how quotas are hurting you. Maybe if I knew the state you lived in I would understand more. But it sounds like you are lamenting sexism + racism and how it impacts your job opportunities. Are you sure you're not a whiney liberal making up boogeyman things working against you? It kinda sounds like it!
What you're missing is that you are making my point for me. You (allegedly) experience discrimination that directly impacts your opportunities, and it seems like it's extremely agitating to you which is understandable. Therefore, why is it not equally understandable to you that when someone says "racism doesn't exist" it would infuriate people who directly experience or witness it?

It's not just about people in power. You don't hold back from mocking or criticizing the leftist talking points you find to be silly or wrong from people on DART, but you don't say shit about all of the utterly asinine right-wing and conservative positions I see being spouted here even if they're straight up evil and wrong. The liberals on DART don't have any power whatsoever but you speak up against them like the good little partisan cuckservative that you are.
The MSM is not the only place people get information. People share ideas on social media as well. When you stay silent in the face of nonsense you're complicit in it. Do whatever you want of course, but don't delude yourself into thinking your pathetic excuses for ignoring lies and racism from right-wing bigots is logical. You're not remaining silent because you don't find the lie big enough (which btw is another one of the stupidest excuses I've heard). It's just you staying silent because you feel they're on "your side" in the grand scheme of things which is shameful.

How do I tell that there's racism and bigotry as opposed to merely ethnocentric white fragility? The conduct appears to be mostly defensive in response to a perceived allegation of group responsibility rather than some unprovoked rant about black people.
That's a good question and you bring up a very good point. I think the distinction is believing one race is inherently inferior to another. That makes it less about tribalism for comfort or survival, and more about an unjustifiable and biased superiority complex.
In this case I think the anti LGBT rhetoric from him shows me he has a streak of bigotry that's not just about self preservation. Theoretically any phobia or act could be justified based on "self preservation," i.e. Nazi genocide.
I haven't read any of his responses from the last day yet so I'll read them and get back to you later when I have a moment. But I do see your point. I viscerally disagree he is just afraid (and even if fear drives his beliefs and actions, that wouldn't make it justified) but I want to give you a more well thought out answer since I can appreciate your perspective here.

I have no idea why you constantly bring up that utterly useless quip about "trusting authority" when I never once said anything about trusting anyone.
I asked you why you don't call out right-wing lies, bigotry and falsehoods (be it from the media pundits or people right here on DART) and you gave the utterly pathetic and bitch ass excuse of "well people in power and the MSM lie." So fucking what? Because people in the media lie, that prevents you from honesty, decency or intellectual consistency? That stops you from pointing out when people are wrong or standing up for what is right? Lol proof that you live by whataboutism despite lamenting it at every turn. What an ugly quality to be so vindictive and spiteful that you would want to hurt fellow citizens and perpetuate falsehoods because you resent "the elites" and think that somehow the elites are the ones who get hurt by false right-wing talking points. I see they're really hurting. Keep up the good work, and thank you for your service.

I don't know if it's a weak Hider. From what I gather it's pretty standard: Each night you may visit another player. If that player doesn't visit that night, you cannot be targeted. If that player is killed on that night, you will die as well. You win with town.

Created:

As far as my mistake in this game, I misread what my role was. It had nothing to do with me assuming a Strongman. For some reason I always thought the Hider role is when you hide behind someone, if you are targeted for a night kill, the person you hide behind would die in your place instead. I had no idea I was supposed to target someone who wouldn't visit which was just me skimming and not reading my role because I thought I knew what it was. That was my bad cuz I don't know shit about the theme, so I def should have been reading my Role PM more carefully.
At first I hid behind Croc cuz I thought he was scum. I wanted him to die in my place even if he wasn't scum because he was so useless as a player. But of course Elminster's declaration that scum would be on his wagon made me paranoid. Despite my better judgment, at the last second I decided to switch to drafterman who was on Elminster's wagon. I didn't think to look up more about Redwing, but even if I assumed he had a visiting role I didn't understand how the Hider worked so I probs would have just hid behind anyone I read scummy.
However I will say that despite a huge mistake in getting myself killed, the way the town completely gave up after my death was a little ridiculous albeit somewhat flattering lol. Honestly Greyparrot kept complaining about it multiple times as if I myself was responsible for the entire game and it's my job to carry the town. It was literally DP2 and ya'll just quit because three talkative townies were dead, which was always a possibility per the role mechanics. I mean I had no reason to necessarily believe Greyparrot and hide behind him anyway.
So yes I fucked up by misreading, but watching the town unravel and do nothing was actually a great representation of where people on this site can all improve. If I made the mistake of misreading, ya'll made the mistake of not being useful or competent enough to keep the game going and cast intelligent votes.
In the end, I thought scum was warren and Water. Warren and Pie did an excellent job. It would have been great to see this game play out minus a few mistakes. I think it would have come down to the end. Thank you, Speed, for hosting.

@Elminster
Your new meta is ridiculously bad and harmful to town. You keep playing horribly and then insisting that people on your wagon are scum which is nonsensical. Your wagon is always justified. In Riddle Mafia, the second you got pressured you just caved and voted for yourself. Out of the 4 other people on your wagon, only 1 of them was scum (out of 2 scum). Those 25% odds of finding mafia on your wagon were the exact same as finding scum in the game had you literally just randomly picked out of a hat.
Similarly in this game, the second I made a case against you (I was the first person) you started acting erratically. You didn't argue my points, didn't claim, and worst of all gave contrary + conflicting information about what your role might be which is just completely scummy. So your wagon was entirely justified and nobody on it could be read scummy for reading your behavior scummy. Out of the 5 other people that voted for you, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US WAS TOWN.
Refusing to cooperate gives mafia an easy mislynch and leads townies to scum read other townies on your wagon even though the votes were justified. This meta is NOT pro town. Consensus doesn't say so, traditional mafia guidance wouldn't say so, and the statistics absolutely don't say so. I strongly encourage you to drop this meta because it's not panning out at all and comes off petulant since it is consistently not useful.

I think the biggest takeaway from this game is how weak DART players really are when there is no theme split (I'm including myself in this category). Town has won most games recently, but the majority of the time we rely on things like theme analysis or breaking the game by figuring out who's online when or who's typing, etc. In Live Mafia, it has become so clear that without fake claims you will just immediately lose as scum the second the game starts with a mass claim. Fortunately in forum mafia that doesn't happen as much, but there's still a lot of theme analysis that people rely on, especially DP1. This game was a great example of how without dissecting a theme people will completely flounder and have no clue what to do if there were just pure roles or when people forget that roles do not equal affiliation.
I had a feeling Pie was scum because he pushed to lynch me in like 4 games for not being "active enough" on DP1 before I knew the game even started -- meanwhile Croc contributed nothing for like 3 day phases and Pie didn't say anything. I maintain that Pie is one of the players I can't read for shit, but that did stick out to me.

You refuse to call out bigotry and racism because some people in the MSM lie? That is the most utterly pathetic and sorry excuse I've ever heard from a typical weak ass cuckservative. The only difference between you and the lying elites is you don't have any power, but you're certainly no better.
Also lol at you saying "it's not about whataboutism" but evoking it at every turn. You can't even explain your refusal to call out straight up lies and blatant falsehoods by right-wingers because "whatabout when the elites lie." Sad.

Homework does not fuel academic success. It inhibits family time and burdens parents; infringes on playtime and recreation time; and fosters resentment for school + learning that is detrimental and unnecessary. Research shows there is no relationship between the time you spend on homework and your grades. You can't "reinforce" understanding the way you can reinforce a behavior. If you had a hard time understanding the lesson in class, chances are you won't have an easier time understanding it (if you can understand it at all) by yourself through the assignment of homework. I explained why in a debate on this subject.

I have a few Jewish friends that consider Jewish to be an ethnicity. It's obviously not a race or ethnicity in technical terms, but I can understand their argument. It's wrong but I get it. As far as being racist towards Mexicans, they are obviously not a race but if particular Mexicans are a different race from you than you can be racist toward them. I feel like this is something everyone (especially liberals) understand and you're just trying to nitpick someone misspeaking about something they'd obviously agree with. That's fine. You're probably very amused by finding a CNN anchor like Jim Acosta saying something stupid and arguably racist. Wow! What a catch. There are millions of examples of Fox News anchors, particularly that profoundly idiotic catastrophize king Tucker Carlson, saying stupid and/or racist things far more worthy of ridicule. Do they amuse you as much? If so, why don't you share some of those clips for us to mock as well? I'm in the mood for a good chuckle.
It's true that sometimes people call things racism when it's not, and that's unfortunate. But the same thing happens to the opposite extent, which is equally if not more problematic. You have cataclysmically ignorant, fucking illiterate, dimwit, bigot dullards (I'm just using strong language to prove a point) like some people in this thread or on this site who say racism doesn't even exist or is nothing but a "boogeyman," which is obviously 100% false. Does that bother you as much as the people who falsely cry racism? I've never seen you call that out or get so upset over those idiots. Interesting.

There are so many movies and other pop culture references about kids of immigrant parents who upset them for ditching the old country's traditions. The Big Sick and Blinded By the Light are two off the top of my head that just won awards in the last few years. Fresh Off the Boat, Never Have I Ever, Ramy and Kim's Convenience are TV shows basically about the same thing, and they're all about Asian or brown people. It's a very popular experience that every immigrant goes through. Virtually everyone assimilates. The idea that you have to be or should be white to be a real American is just racist. I shouldn't be the only person to realize or call that out either.
Btw this is exactly why Trump's "go back to where you came from" rhetoric to 4 brown Congressman was so disgustingly racist and inappropriate. When he criticizes or talks about how he wants to change America, it's because he wants to make it GREAT AGAIN -- whereas brown people don't have a right to speak about wanting to change America (even people born in America)? Fuck him. Hope the door hits him on the way out. And fuck all the racist people and people who can't be bothered to call out racists. Shame on you.

If the standard is preferring to live among your own racial/ethnic identity then perhaps America’s full of bigots and racists. So be it.
Preferring to live among people who are similar to you does not make you a bigot or a racist. You are a racist if you believe one race is inherently superior to another. In this case, bmdrocks21 was saying white people are more likely to assimilate to the U.S. which is not true. He said racism is a non-existent "boogeyman" which is not true. He said black people and liberals blame white people for "every bad thing" that happens to black people which is not true. And, like I said he argued that the U.S. was once a homogenous nation which is not true.
I do believe he is a bigot and a racist because he has been callous about racism, mocked Jim Crow, and said that only his white, conservative presumably Judeo Christian worldview is what "real America" looks like. He also seems to be anti LGBT. But again I don't think preferring to be among likeminded people makes you a bad person. Intolerance and discrimination does. I agree with you that humans have a tendency to flock toward their own (even though I live in an incredibly diverse place with all different kinds of people who get along just fine) and I agree with you that someone whose ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War are no more American than a newly ordained citizen. If communities of similar people spring up, cool, but one of them is not any more inherently "more American" than another based on something like race or ethnicity.

People have different views on the proper role of government. Some don't think the government has any business regulating who I decide to employ or hire for my business. I understand your opinion that immigration ought to be restricted, but in the quote you're replying to I wasn't advocating for miss immigration. I was explaining why the idea that we were ever a unified and homogenous nation is incorrect (we tend to be the most unified during war time with other nations). We have always been a country of immigrants which you seem to acknowledge. Even when immigration was restricted and we had less partisanship, I dispute the idea that there was ever one right way or one correct way to be an American. He's trying to say that "real Americanism" = conservative values + European descendants which is just his biased and racist opinion.

But I was saying that the party is too far left socially for my liking. Honestly they can’t get much further left in that respect.
The social politics are the main thing I like about the Dems lol. What exactly don't you like? I agree the country will get more progressive on some things but I'm not sure any of them are bad. I do disagree with socialism in most ways, but I'd expect us to become more like Europe with expanded social programs than adopt socialist policies.
I disagree that there has been no backlash among people for transitioning children. I think it's a very controversial topic with good reason. I don't even think it's legal to do in some states, but where it is legal it does require a lot of psychological evaluation from what I understand. Most people don't think you should be able to change your body or anything like that until adulthood or at least until after puberty. However I can understand the argument for embracing a gender confused or transgender child. It can have a significant impact on their mental health. The reason so many trans (and LGBT people generally) have issues with depression, suicide, drugs and homelessness is because of the helplessness and rejection they feel. Acceptance and tolerance does have a big impact. There is obviously nothing wrong with being gay, so a party that embraces people and champions their rights and equality wins some points in my book. I think this is an interesting topic with no clear right or wrong insofar as the science and psychology, but I do know it's moral to treat people with kindness and respect.
MeToo was criticized because they were publicizing stories that got people fired for very serious and oftentimes unprovable accusations.
The irony is that the boogeyman of trans men going into women's restrooms to rape them is a completely fabricated and utterly made up thing. Stopping people from using the bathroom of their choice does nothing, I repeat, NOTHING to stop little girls from being molested. Nothing. Right now if I saw a man enter the woman's room I would probably be weirded out because it's uncommon, but so long as they didn't harass or assault me or others I would leave them alone. The idea that men would go into PUBLIC RESTROOMS to rape is the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard lol most rapes are date rapes and most molestations of little kids occur from family members, family friends and other trusted adults like god damned priests and boy scout leaders. Not trans men in bathrooms.
As I said most trans people who use the opposite sex bathroom present as the opposite sex. I GUARANTEE if you saw a few trans people I know that are all buff with beards, you would be completely freaked out if you saw *them* leave the bathroom with a little girl. Of course they're among the most kind and gentle people I know but I digress.
As for your gun signs, I’m sure you support no-gun zones
Wrong again. You're like 0 for 5 in trying to assess me lol womp womp. Your little quip about "teens and arson" was similarly off the mark. You're just salty because I said migrants built the country and you responded NO PIONEERS BUILT IT and I pointed out that pioneers are migrants so you felt embarrassed lol. It's okay. We all make silly mistakes. I'm not trying to make you feel dumb -- I'm trying to make you see that your loathing the left so hard is more so comical than it is justified. They're not that bad. The GOP has the alt-right and QAnon so I mean ya can't win em all.

Depends on how you define assimilation. English proficiency doesn’t look too hot.Plenty of areas in the Southwest US where you need to speak Spanish to communicate with people. They have ethnic enclaves.
That is for the very obvious reason that those immigrants are brand new. New migrants won't understand English, but there is absolutely no evidence to suggest that Hispanics en masse refuse to learn. In fact data says the opposite with more Hispanics than ever now speaking English in the U.S. There is no reason to believe that.
As far as immigration goes, I have mixed feelings. The capitalist (and almost dead but still hanging on libertarian) in me is very pro immigration and property rights. If a business owner wants to provide a job or rent his property to someone from Guatemala, who am I to stop him? Why should government interfere with peaceful commerce? On the other hand I do acknowledge government has a role and arguably a responsibility at regulating commerce for the good of its citizens -- that's how property rights are allowed to exist in the first place. So I am not some close minded nitwit who parrots talking points from the far left. I just so happen to believe immigration is a net positive per my own experience growing up surrounded by them in NYC, and being the daughter of an immigrant myself. I have bias but unlike most people I am very open to persuasion.
My partner has an interesting take on the immigration problem that maybe I'll get around to explaining later if I feel up to it.

There are these cool news things called “hunting” and “shooting targets for fun”. You should check them out.
Lol you think this is a "gotcha" moment but it's actually funny. You have to KILL to hunt, correct? So the purpose of guns for hunting is to kill. Thanks for reiterating that. And yes you can shoot at targets for fun, but the purpose of guns is to kill so much so in fact that if the gun was faulty and not capable of killing, it would be considered a design defect + design failure.
But it is clear you want to run gun manufacturers out of business because they can’t afford to fight thousands of frivolous lawsuits
That is 100% false. I am a gun enthusiast. I own several guns and would have more if my state allowed it. My wedding cake literally had guns all over it.
Taking OxyContin to get high isn’t a right. Owning a gun for self defense? Yeah, that is.
You keep repeating the same irrelevant thing. You have a right to own a gun, but you have no right to have a gun made and sold to you. The constitution says nothing of the sort. If a gun manufacturer didn't want to manufacture guns any more and decided to shut down along with all other manufacturers, and you didn't know how to make a gun yourself, then guess what? YOU HAVE NO GUN and your "right" to it means nothing. Distributors have a right to discriminate who they sell to so long as it does not fall within a protected class.
Again you can disagree about what I'm proposing, but you clearly don't understand what I'm talking about. You should think more about it first before forming an opinion. It might actually be something you agree with considering it acknowledges the government has no right to stop you from self defense. I know you hyperpartisans obsessed with taking down the lefties are incapable of thinking without shouting at "the other side" though.

Sovereign nations have federal immigration laws lol. Hence the supremacy clause which states that federal law > state law if they conflict.I never said that the states have to enforce immigration laws. I said that California wasn’t cooperating with ICE in reference to liberals wanting to keep criminal aliens in the country.Btw, SCOTUS doesn’t hear most cases sent to them tee hee
The only reason you said "lol" after pointing out that sovereign nations have immigration laws (which I've obviously never denied) is because I made you look silly regarding your ignorance of the 10th amendment.
Your exact words were: "No, immigration law is federal in nature. I see you try to play the federalism card when convenient, even though it doesn’t apply." Then I explained exactly why my point about state's rights does apply, which is because this issue got brought up to the Supreme Court and they ruled that California didn't have to comply with the feds contrary to the position you keep taking.
I have no idea why you mentioned SCOTUS doesn't hear most cases "tee hee" because that has nothing to do with... anything.

And my bad, he just wants to keep non-felonious criminals here and wait until they murder a citizen or rob people to kick them out.
Deluding yourself into thinking that Democrats want rapists and criminals among their own children and society is an astonishingly stupid take. You partisans frothing at the mouth over hatred for "the other side" sound absolutely insane saying things like this. Not only is it mind bogglingly dumb to suggest people are A-okay with murderers roaming free -- and nobody has ever said that, so it's just another thing you completely made up -- but it also makes no sense to suggest we should assume people who stay in the country illegally (i.e. non felonious criminals) are going to rob and kill people. That's ridiculous fear mongering. I hope you're not actually that ignorant and afraid.
And no Biden didn't "change his mind" so you're wrong again. He has always said he wanted felonious immigrants out, and in fact Trump used Biden's anti immigration stance against him in the debate when he commented that Obama + Biden's administration built the cages and presided over mass deportation. So conservatives can't have it both ways and highlight that Obama/Biden were anti immigrant in their policy and then at the same time try and portray them as open border enthusiasts. I mean I guess you can try, but I'll call it out as nonsense as you can see.
I gave you a quote from a researcher with a doctorate!
Your argument is that black people blame white people for all of their problems. Here is the quote you provided: “There are fewer than 1% of black female professors in the United Kingdom … The findings show that for changes to be made, the embedded structures of racism and white supremacy need to be dismantled in preparation for an education system that is based on equitable practices and processes.” This statement makes one singular observation about one specific subject - the lack of black female professors in the U.K. - and therefore in no way, shape, or form comes even CLOSE to proving the monumentally broad statement of white people being blamed for all black people's problems. All this does is highlight exactly what I said about teachers discussing the ways history has impacted present day society.
I also showed how thousands of college-educated STEM people are protesting imaginary racism because of disparities in people choosing STEM.
You gave a statistic about 16% of STEM workers being brown. That doesn't prove anything about racism being "imaginary" lol what? And what does this prove about "white people being blacked for all black people's problems?" You're just throwing out useless statistics at this point.
And while they talk about “muh Jim Crowe” from 60 years ago, you’ll virtually never hear about how >70% of black kids are born out of wedlock, how disproportionate crime rates push all investment out of their cities, how dropping out of high school will negatively impact your future wealth.
First off minimizing the impact of horrifically racist Jim Crow laws by saying "muh Jim Crow" as if it's not significant is really childish and speaks volumes. Secondly you can't deny the existence of Jim Crow nor the impact of Jim Crow, which is why you are bringing up the fallacious red herring of other things you find to be problematic. They may be significant and problematic as well, but that doesn't mean Jim Crow wasn't.
Thirdly you're just flat out wrong again because all of those things are factored into analysis about crimes and livelihoods among people living in inner cities. No one denies that fatherlessness factors into crimes nor that most crime occurs among certain communities. I'm guessing you are completely unaware and ignorant to the mountains of research on those very topics, but yes, they exist and they are talked about quite a bit.

Don't mind me. I am just taking out my frustration that you didn't hide behind me for immunity all game long.
Shh. You're not supposed to talk about the game! You're hinting to people that you're town which is not fair. Fortunately I doubt any of those players will read this except maybe Pie. You could be lying anyway ;) But yeah I'll explain in the End Game. I didn't read my role correctly lol womp womp. Do you wanna play Live Mafia tonight?

Assuming Europeans are more likely to assimilate than Hispanics is just flat out racist. There's no proof of that. Over time most cultures assimilate, and if I had to pick the U.S. groups that assimilate the LEAST it would be European immigrants/descendants - specifically Hasidic Jews and the Amish.

Fool you? I wasn't even talking to you. I was telling bmdrocks21 that his "love it or leave it" view is pretty narrowminded considering there is no one way or right way to be an American, and it's not true that we were a homogenous nation prior to Reagan. When I told him this country was built by immigrants, you felt the need to chime in legal immigrants as if their legal status somehow proves his point. It doesn't.
My point was that the country has always been diverse, whereas he falsely portrayed it as a completely unified country. In fact it was the opposite and we were probably more xenophobic prior to the 20th century. Even if earlier immigrants had legal citizenship status, they still immigrated from all different places. They still brought with them their own values, beliefs, cultures and traditions from all over the world which has in turn created our own little American mish mosh. Bmdrocks never justified his view that Europeans are more likely to assimilate than others. He's just trying to make an excuse for why HIS worldview is the "correct" American worldview. It's nonsense.

Okay, you go girl with your bad self with the "all cultures are equal" bullshit.
Um, yeah I didn't say that. At all.
And legal status doesn't imply assimilation status. They literally just stamped your shit at Ellis Island and didn't even spell people's name right let alone verify they've "assimilated." The people coming didn't have jobs, houses or established communities. You're lucky if their infectious diseases were caught and stopped from coming in.
