The thing mikal was soft claiming at me was vig btw. Thats why i wanted to let him live a day phase to confirm him. Hes mentioned something from a previous conversation where I asked him if he was a vig in a lylo situation would he use his role or let the day phase play out. He said he would use it and yolo.
Now hes claiming hunter.
Also mikals behavior is pissing me off. He lynched himself in danielles game too when he got a little bit of pressure. Rather than try to make a good case to defend himself he throws a temper tantrum. I find that annoying and i dont find my scum tell allieviated from any of this behavior. It could be a master manipulation tactic. Dont really care if he takes me out either in case hes scum. I dont have much pro town utility anyway.

Not off hand, usually when she is scum in live mafia she is almost always high af, and slips or is caught pretty easy. I don't really count those as a factor for reading her, since I am a potato when im high too

Well, we've already got a BP and a doctor, if this is true. I do think Water's character better fits the doctor role than Cap's Shield. Maybe Bodyguard?
That's a lot of protection roles though. I agree, reading about the kimono beads it makes perfect sense with doctor given it was used to heal the Everett Ross, though it could alternate as a JOAT or something since the beads also operate vehicles and other things. Doctor kind of fits best though. That plus the bulletproof makes me think warren should be claiming.

Can you explain Mike and Danielle’s scum meta? I’ve never played with them when they’re scum. You probably have tho.
They are the type of players I don't usually lock into a meta as I do some others. For example people like greyparrot, supa, and yourself seem a bit more meta oriented then them. Mike is just hard to read in general, and in live mafia he tends to be more tunnel vision crazy as town and more conservative as scum. In forum mafia he is probably a little different. Last game I saw him as scum on was mafiascum (I was scum with him), he was extremely active and everyone universally had him as a town read early on. He even got tracked to a night kill and managed to turn the lynch on the tracker and delay his death an extra day phase lol. People here I don't think would have let him get away with that.
Danielle has been town in almost every forum game until drafter's recently, so you are about as caught up with her scum meta as I am. That game she basically was willing to be lynched. I think we will know town danielle though if we see her, based on uWu mafia and bearman's game where she caught scum relatively early. Could have been luck but she is a pretty good asset to town when she is town lol.

When the mod says there is no theme split and there are posts literally dedicated to looking at theme split, that seems silly to me. Well seems fluff to me. Doesn't do much but lead town down a path that you get nothing from walking and causes more confusion about something that is not even worth looking into
He is pointing to which characters are more or less likely to be in the game, nothing anywhere mentions theme split.
Characters existing in this game implies a reason as to why they need exist.

I can get behind water, though for kind of different reasons. His playstyle so far is reminiscent of stormlight. I say this with nothing but love, but waterphoenix is one of the worst mafia players I have ever seen. I feel like if he was town he would be here trying to defend himself at least. In stormlight archives he put minimal effort to none in defending himself, basically went full panic mode. Wouldn't respond to posts and kept saying stuff like "oh crap now what do I do" when his name was mentioned. I don't see water as handling himself well under pressure, and nothing he has said so far seems like a valid defense. Town water in naruto for example was a bit easier to tell apart.

I dis-agree that it is total fluff btw. Just because there isn't a theme split doesn't mean analyzing which characters are more likely to be in the game or not doesn't have potential value. I wouldn't lead a lynch over it or anything, but it is not completely useless to do character analysis.

I am not saying it's failproof, and I already said if someone is really good at fake claiming then it's possible to not yeild much. There are a lot of what ifs that could work against it, but there are also what ifs that could make it worthwhile, and those aren't worth dismissing.My point is you don't have to be good at fake claiming because you're not forcing anyone to actually fake claim. You're giving them plenty of time to come up with a claim, have it vetted by their scum peers, and refine it so it's good by the time you actually make people claim.
This objection, again could have been mitigated by doing it more quickly IE not having you object to it to be contrarian lol. Now water and warren have that as an excuse "I didn't know if we were going through with it" Though you could still technically use it against them. Regardless there are plenty of variables you can't account for. The obvious being what if scum is warrren or danielle, anyone who claimed before they posted we know didn't confer with them for example. You have no objective way to prove that this won't pan out to help us. Even if you want to use it against me in the endgame in the chance it doesn't pan out (and I suspect you will if that is the case based on prior engagements) you still wouldn't have much weight to the point, since I already admitted that this could be potentially pointless. The difference is you are trying to say it is 100% pointless, and don't have a quantifiable way to prove that.

He hinted to me what his role was. I can see a world and a justification for where the role he soft claimed to me makes sense for stormbreaker, but there are probably better town roles for it. That's all I am saying. The role Mike is claiming is probably better off hidden if we are to assume he is telling the truth, and there isn't much to assume he isn't telling the truth other than my thinking that their are probably better roles to fit the justification of his claim. So Idk where to go from there.

What do ya'll think about getting Mikal's claim? Someone explain the mjolnir thing too please.
Mikal soft claimed something to me already that only I would understand based on previous conversation we had prior to the game starting. As far as the Mjolnir thing, Mjolnir is the hammer Thor uses throughout most of the movies. In infinity wars (the second to last movie) the hammer breaks and Thor sets off to the dwarf planet and has stormbreaker made which is basically a better version of mjolnir and amplifies thors powers. Thor uses it to injure thanos, but he doesn't go for a killing blow, which enables thanos to commit to his fateful "snap" that ends up killing 50% of the planets population.
The thing mikal soft claimed to me seems like it might be a stretch of a justification for that weapon. If anyone is actually mjolnir I kind of suspect it to be mike. But all this is kind of a weak argument at the same time, ya know? lol

It's more about what the claim is combined with the last minute theme change. I have theories about what several of these roles are, pies included, and it makes me slightly town read pie. Not to the point of confirmation of course, I take these things with a grain of salt.
Which means @luna either mjolnir isn't in the game or it's a scum character and they fake claimed something else. Any thoughts regarding that or no?
1. Speed maybe didn't put it in the game, since Mikal claimed stormbreaker, which basically replaces thors broken Mjolnir in the movies.
2. Mikal is actually Mjolnir and had Stormbreaker as a fake claim? Not much to support this and it's weak as well because both of these weapons could exist in the game if mjolnir isn't scum.
3. Mjolnir is scum and someone fake claimed?
Could be any of these. Despite number 2 being weak, I am slightly concerned about mikal here. He soft claimed a role to me only earlier, and I guess I could see that role meeting stormbreakers justification, but if he was town I think there is an even more perfect role that fits that weapons justification. But if speed prioritzed balance over role and character link making perfect sense the whole theory is kind of irrelevant.

Either character claims lock a person into a role claim or it doesn't.If it does, then you might as well get that role along with the character.If it doesn't, then character claims mean nothing.
It's the justification between role and character that matters: I would say my character makes sense with my justification. Would you?
If I was scum and forced into claiming the character dp1, I am forced in getting ready to claim whatever my fake role will be for the game. It's either gonna make sense or it will be a stretch, and that is something we can factor in to reading someone. If scum happen to be really good at fake claiming or already have an idea of what they will claim, then it may not help. But I don't see how it hurts, and thats the point. Doing it DP1 increases liklihood of potential CC and forces scums hand in deciding to stick with the character they have or fake one, and fake character claiming increases the chance of them being caught.
But like you said, it shouldn't hurt so whether or not this turns results or not, it's probably worth doing.
