I specifically told the doc to protect TNB not because I was a doc, but because I guessed he was bulletproof. I wanted to call attention to his PR and bait mafia into trying to NK'ing him.

You tracked? I don't understand how that's possible, since I am the tracker. I guess I can claim since I am 2x, and my role is already been used, but I tracked siranonymous NP1 because he is a really hard player to read and wanted to get suspicions on him out of the way. I suspected speed race last day phase so I tracked him.
My character is Major General Amiel W. Whipple, I soft claimed this to oro DP1. A basic google search pretty much makes this character scream tracker, since he was known for leading a reconnaissance unit, and was a Chief Topographical Engineer. I am pretty sure Oro understood my claim when he responded with his poem, and the fact that I wasn't killed or blocked makes oro town confirmed in my eyes.
I won't reveal the tracker results unless both players confirm, but neither visited the night kill so they are confirmed in my eyes. Supa please explain what you mean by you "tracked".

I tend to scum read people who say "I told you so after a lynch, because in general town has no clue who is who and ive seen mafia do this as a way to gain town cred more than ive seen genuine town do it. But I pushed misterChris for that last game and was wrong so I guess I'll just mark it as slightly scummy and move on.

I'm probably going to be gone for most of the day, so i'll vote croc in case I don't get back on. Speed hasn't made a case for why Croc is town that I find convincing, other than mod psyche guessing; doesn't answer the problem that supa pointed out if he is a role cop or just a weak mafia role. He is downplaying the usefulness of mafia learning what roles are in the game with that role.

Huge is a gross overstatement. It's really not lol. Mafia goes "oh there's a doctor in the game" So? It's not like they know who the doctor is so they can kill them. Voyeur only works on visiting roles, then only ones visiting your target, and it's only 1x. Completely useless to Mafia. If this is a role madness game then it makes sense has a filler power role but Pie would be out of his mind to give this to mafia
I don't know that it's a "gross" overstatement, maybe a slight overstatement. But if I am scum I would like to know what I am up against, to know which roles to be on the lookout for. I don't think it;s useless to mafia at all, but definitely to town.

The only part I disagree with is the part you qouted supas point about pie not using unusual roles. In Narcos mafia he had: actor, aesthetic, mailman and soldier. These are roles I feel aren't "commonly seen".

I am not opposed to lynching croc again for the earlier reasons, and because speed makes a good point about his results being potentially worse for town (though he town reads croc). Croc's role isn't useful to town, and frankly makes more sense as a scum role.

Voyeur, for those who may have forgotten, tells what actions were performed on a player, but not who performed them. This is useless because it works as almost a role cop that finds roles that are in the game, but not who those roles are. Croc outing any voyeur results would probably be a detriment to town (what if someone docs his target?) unless they're explicitly a role that only mafia has, but even then, I don't see how it helps at all. I don't think Croc should say his results
Further I don't see how this role really even helps town. I can definitely see it helping mafia more though. I guess it could confirm someone's claim if we doubted them, but yeah, in general outting his results is potentially more harmful.

This strikes me as important information. That list seem to cover enough names that I would expect any list of top 6 union generals or famous union general would be a subset.
Your the history buff here, and I don't scum read you, so in answering these questions I hope I'm not giving too much information here, but I'll comply.

His rolve is provable, but a doc or cop is way more valuable to town, so a self protect or a guess at cop or some other town read is probably better. I don't see mafia killing croc.

We've got one day left. Any opinions on a lynch?
I just got to work, so I was thinking about this on the way here and I guess we have to unanimously decide as a town what we want to do this day phase, lynch or no lynch. I used to be pretty pro no lynching DP1 in situations where we don't have any major blaring scum tells to go on. I still kind of lean that way, but I can also be pursuaded to lynch an inactive like Bear. Though the problem with that is if he ends up claiming a power role and we screw ourselves, since we already have two role claims this day phase. I am still in favor of a no lynch though, no behavior reads have struck out to me this day phase like they did in DP1 of the last game. People are being very... Hmmm I don't know, non-committal doesn't seem like the right word, but like not giving much to read off of I guess? Gun to my head? I would reccomend a no lynch. I know people tend to freak out when they hear that because people like drafter used to advocate lynching DP1 pretty hard. And I haven't done the research lately to confirm this, but I feel like we tend to mislynch or accidentally lynch power roles DP1 more often than we lynch scum. The coutner-argument to that is that we are narrowing it down further, getting information for future day phases, etc. But if we decide to lynch someone and they role claim a power role we have to evaluate the cost vs benefit. I'll go whatever way, but if we are nearing to the end tomorrow and haven't made any sort of decision I will be VTNLing.

However, given how he is a Confederate in Post #84, there would be no reason to ask this question.I asked him about that earlier, but I don't think he saw it. So let's try again.
I don't see why oro would do that as scum; what is the end goal with even asking for this information? Also if he was mafia we would have to assume he has enough knowledge about the theme already that jumping to the conclusion that confederates were scum doesn't make sense. I'd say at best him wanting U/C is a null tell.

I wonder if anybody feels that they have a claim so scummy or unusual that they ought to claim DP1.
- Millers or other non-power roles that might turn up sus under investigation.
- Any general names that are WAY off the beaten path. The wikipedia list is too complete but perhaps if your general's name is not on this list

- then you might consider letting TOWN know you've got an unexpectedly rare character claim.
I am town and not on that list, but the way my PM describes me I seem important, so I don't know if I would bank on that list much. Though I am not much of a historian so I don't know many of these generals except for the big names.

That's kind of my point. You play the same way regardless of your affiliation (at least until you turn into Galaxy Brain Lunatic and win with a crazy gambit). A lot of people here find your normal play scummy and scum read you all the time. I'm used to your normal play, so I don't scum read you all the time. However, I still have the same problem differentiating between your town and mafia play.
Hmm... My last "Galaxy brain gambit" as scum backfired horribly in warrens bastard states game. I am not sure how I would differentiate my play styles.
