Put me down as a backup.Also Alien nerd here… The reason the original trilogy feels so odd, is Alien 3 was actually just Alien 2. Like literally. They decided to save a few bucks by using an already purchased Alien 2 script, rather than ever making a sequel to Aliens (we nearly got one made by Neill Blomkamp, but it fizzled in early pre-production)That said, the unused non-CGI monster effects for Alien 3 are worth looking up. I’m cracking the whip here, they’ll make your day!

Neat setup, thanks for hosting! A bit scumsided, considering there were 4 ways to get a false cop result (2 of them passive), and only 1 way to get a correct guilty lol.
I disagree. A cop is the single most powerful role a town can have. You are literally being told the affiliation of another player, and on np1 when the player pool is so large and mafia don't know who to roleblock, etc, imagine losing a whole ass mafia player because a player made a correct guess. I think cops should have many counters if they are included in a game. Usually if I put a cop in I either make them extremely counterable like casey did, or more likely just don't include them at all. I've seen cop results break games so quickly before.

I know there is no theme split, but it was also a choose your own hero theme. At least for my character there is a strong reason why my character is good and justification for why I have a town role, so “tracking the tides of time” doesn’t sound particularly heroic to me. I’m sure pie gave you the character since you asked for it, but I think it’s more likely he would have on researching it assigned a mafia role or a negative utility role than an investigative one. The justification seems like a bit of a stretch. Mine slightly is too but it makes way more sense than that.
Idk I probably wouldn’t push your lynch off of this alone if your results also didn’t contradict Jordon’s claimed results, but tbh I don’t see a whole lot of ways to town read you for anything other than tracker is a semi common investigative role. I don’t think that’s enough.
And maybe I’m overthinking on joebob, I do think he is a noob but I think as scum he’d be a bit more careful in claiming and at least be read and caught up or ask a scum partner for help prior to claiming results that contradicted yours. I guess it could have been a noob mistake but he didn’t do that as scum when he was with Austin. He was caught because Austin had claimed his character already so he was forced to take Austin’s and hope for the best but I don’t think that was an independent decision either.

I feel like wylted isn't really trying to defend himself or try hard to get joebob lynched. TBF neither is joebob but I expect it more from joebob than wylted if wylted was town he'd seem to care a bit more. His lack of defense seems to me he made a ballsy claim, knows he f'ed up, and now is regretting the decision and kind of accepting his fate and hoping to at the very least get one mislynch out of it.

Is anyone else bothered by Owen just wanting so badly to keep providing information for free. Honestly if a joebob lynch is off the table I would want to vote him.
It’s a new player habit, usually takes more than a few games for that to wear off. Savant, joebob, Casey, moozer all do it. They don’t want to seem like they aren’t willing to comply with town and generally view the dominant voices as more town than they are like to be skeptical of them.

So if we’re at one of joebob and wylted being scum, here’s some points for both.
Joebob:
Scum-
- has a redirect role when there is already one in the graveyard
- weirdly paraphrased it as a protection functionality when first explaining it
- claimed a wierd role after being pressured
Town-
- he came out with his results after Wylted claimed to have tracked earth, and he had considerable time to see Wylted claim that. As scum I’d imagine he would be more careful with his results to make sure they don’t implicate him. Placing himself in a 1 v 1 scenario doesn’t benefit him if scum. All this could be chalked up to being a noob mistake I guess but if that’s the case then we just assume his partner is either inactive (Austin, savant) or maybe a noob (who else really fits into that category in this game anymore?).
Wylted:
Scum-
-claimed a power role very fast with little pressure to explain earth being visited as if it would town confirm him
Town-
-tracker isn’t a super uncommon investigative role and it’s more than likely one exists in the game
- claiming tracker and his np1 results is pretty ballsy as scum (this almost works against him
Though because Wylted plays very ballsy as scum).
Of the two I am placing a lot of stock into the wifom argument of Jordon’s town side and a lot of stock into the wifom of wylted being ballsy as scum which is leading me to scum read wylted. My guy read on him from earlier also doesn’t help as he was scum reading Whiteflame who I currently believe to be town. Also I feel like at least one scum has to be among the more active people which wylted is one of.
I am leaning towards wylted on this one.

If wylted got results saying earth visited no one, why would he get those results if he was forced to visit Joebob, who did indeed claim to visit wylted? I don’t see why the moderater in any situation would say he had no results or didn’t visit someone in this situation. One of them is lying.

Caseys role is basically neg utility, since he would have been way more likely to mess with town than scum. I guess he could make a scum roleblock themselves, but since he can't even block the night kill, its more likely this role would have done more harm than good. I guess if were gonna lose a town role dp1 that would be the role to lose. I am fine with that.

That's fine. If you want to sus me, be my guest, though it sounds like that's not the focus of your attention for this DP. What are your thoughts on the options on the table?
I am not sure earth will be on in time to claim, so it seems like a no lynch is probably likely to happen. I am okay with it happening dp1 though, and I hope the town and myself can contribute dp2 towards scum hunting a bit better, hopefully with the aid of results. I will be more comfortable pursuing claims tomorrow after investigators have had a chance to score a result. Even town confirm results could be useful, but yeah as for random lynching earth/ joebob, I am not up for that assuming they don't get on to claim.

vtl casey risk , earth said he was fine with full claiming, and two people asking fora full doesn't necessitate the emergency response to full claim from a townie that you are suggesting. In fact I would scum read him for full claiming with only two votes on him.

As we still don't have anything going on, should we claim something else to try and keep moving forward?What about if fictional, who created the character, and if real, how they're famous.
Why does town need any of this information? I think if there is reason to suspect a person we just pursue their full claim. Like I said to casey, town is more likely to volunteer this information than mafia, who will want to keep their options open.

An important thing to keep in mind here is that, even if we know everyone’s characters, we’re still going to be speculating pretty wildly about roles. Like for mine, I can see a connection, but it’s far from the first I would have suspected.
knowing pie, I think his priority would be to balance the game before trying to make characters fit exactly to their show character. Mine kind of makes sense as well, but part of it is a stretch too. I am guessing he already had this role in mind and thought my character maybe more accurately fit the role description than any of the other characters people submitted for example, but he planned on using the role nonetheless.

I think we should try and get claims from a person or two before this DP ends. The trouble is, we have very little info to go off of right now.There's obviously something going on between Wylted and Austin, but I'm hesitant to get them to reveal more at this stage. I get the feeling it will help the scum more than the town.I do want to see some actual motion here, so how about this? Give just a little bit of info about where your character comes from if they are fictional (if they are from literature, comics, TV, etc.), as well as their gender if you haven't given it already. We did basically the same thing in Villainous Villains. I'll start. My character is male and comes from Greek mythology.
I know I am just barely getting on, and while I appreciate the effort to get the ball rolling, I don't think getting people to randomly give more information is neccesarily the way to go. Scum have no incentive to participate in doing this, you are more likely to get townies to volunteer this type of information, and this just gives scum more info than they need to try and guess at characters or roles. I think a better way to get the ball moving would be to ask people questions about behavior and motive (don't be scared of making a little bit out of nothing in dp1, this is literally the day phase to do that). Guage reactions, see if people get dodgy, or seem defensive.
