Call out thread huh... maybe i should strip you of mod titles bc every time i check... i haven't seen your witty remarks on religion as i use to... What's up with that... i want to tell you you're wrong in regards to spirituality but how can i without you bringing your shit.

Let me trip you out a bit buddy... maybe you haven't thought of this... but, if we are to survive infinitely in this reality, the universe is fine tuned for that existence. All the power and material we need for that existence is in the universe, once we become butterflies.

@Fallaneze
Not in my opinion. I don't want redemption, spiritual growth, none of that fluff crap modern day spiritualists talk about... i'm here to be me and have an experience i want to have... period. That involves chaos, beauty, love and hate... Growth, troubles, spiritual growth, whatever... all come with it, but if i survive death... i'm pretty sure i already knew that.

I've never gotten under 100. Personally, after listening to some very high IQ people and knowing some... i think having an average to above average IQ (not above) makes you a genius. Plus, IQ is geared towards certain intelligence as many here have voiced some of. It is okay... i can't think of many people that can be successful lawyers with a 70 IQ... but the lawyers i work for still believe in Noah's Ark... so...

300 million... i didn't know. God, humanity deserves climate change. I can't make any other conclusion other than we deserve the world we have. I want it to happen, something so big and destructive, that everyone comes knocking on the frauds' doors. If this was a comic book movie, i'd say the frauds, the villains, are winning.

@TheDredPriateRoberts
I think that's a bigger problem... the world's division and the collective forgetting we live in this reality together. Maybe climate change is destined to teach us a lesson.I don't see enough evidence to pay it much heed, I mean like G.P. said how are you going to stop other countries etc
Can't it be a problem for older people or some others with at risk immune systems?Non vaccinated people are only a risk to themselves and other non vaccinated people, it's a choice. Though i find it ironic those who want mandatory vaccination but want more people from other countries who probably aren't vaccinated.

@TheDredPriateRoberts
Sure, but there is evidence and i would at least heed some of the predictions.climate change is prediction/speculation
In regard to Vaccines... should they be mandatory?
Created:
Posted in:
Why is this devolving into a climate change topic... jeez. It's really simple, both sides arguing are right. Climate change will happen (so we can prepare for it)... but since it's going to happen a bunch of a-hole humans that crave power will use it to gain said power politically / otherwise (therefore there are likely exaggerations). It's funny to me how just bc this issue became a left issue (which i agree is likely to gain political power), the side that doesn't like the left outright is skeptical... freaking politics. Climate change will happen... best to prepare for it. But honestly, i also wouldn't be surprised if we don't even have to prepare for it and it will just be something we will deal with when it starts affecting our lives. If we have to move to cooler places... then, that's just what humans will have to do.
Vaccinations is way more interesting... In relation to this topic. If i truly believed something would harm someone i care about... i wouldn't do it unless i was forced to (but then same mentality on the reverse - if a non-vaccd kid harmed someone i care about). So, if not being vaccinated truly becomes a problem, we will have to force people to do it... or, keep them away from society. Maybe make a colony of people that don't want to vaccinate.

Oh... okay. I see what he's saying... very few at the bottom and few at the top. I sorta meant the same thing. I just recently went to Vancouver, Canada. The poor there were really interesting. It almost seemed like it was a choice for what seemed like a lot of them. It was interesting seeing that they were very little like the homeless i see in Cali.

I think that's what i meant when i said widen the pyramid. I don't know what you mean by dypramid... but, i meant few at the bottom, more in the middle... and if i continued, i only think there should be certain people at the top... so fewer at the top too.a dypramid geometry patter <> with a fat middle class girdle i.e. very few at the top and at the bottom of the social order
Created:

@3RU7AL
I think the happier and more successful people are... there will be less violence and crime. But problem is, it's still a pyramid even if we give more chances. There is only so much room at the top going down, there will always be people not succeeding and/or succeeding to the level they wanted. And, some people won't take that lying down which is honestly a roll of the dice if they bite society back. So it depends on how you are defining a "equal shot at life" ... i think we need to fix more than just one thing to maximize that statement. Like widen the pyramid so more can be in positions of comfort if they have tried and worked towards it.What do you think would happen if we tried our best to give each kid an equal shot at life?

That's cool. It's up to you. If you're an anime freak like me, or if not look up how many shows... those are all realities... god knows more, infinitley. There will always be something. We will either end up in the same (hey! like this reality), or in one i let my best friend be Batman and i'm working him as Joker. God is infinity... that's tuff.

Yeah i guess you're right, and i personally wouldn't have it in other way... they could come to the party too. How could it be any other way unless i want my own narcissistic paradise? I don't know if you like Batman comics. But if you ever want to try out being a Batman type character, i'll be the Joker. That's what i find to be paradise.

Serious is relative... i understand but also don't really... bc i'm not sure what you find serious about the Bible. I think the parable of talents... or proverbs is it... can't remember. But those verses about talents were really inspirational to my life's story.

@Dr.Franklin
Hey man, i think you're cool. But... i can take any man made book (especially science of course) and explain whatever i want. Religion is man made. That doesn't make the mystery any more right than wrong... i lean towards spirituality. But, a religious mindset is simply that of a follower. You're good enough... what's the story you would write. That's more interesting... at least relative to me.
Created:

@n8nrgmi
This is pretty general and at least i couldn't relate with any of what it was saying. I personally thought religion knew what i already knew... so, i didn't have any good or bad thoughts about it, it was more like a duh moment when i learned about it. Then as i aged, i read it, watched society, and learned it's bs and/or another's truth not mine. So... the article really doesn't address the more ambivalent types like myself. Oh, and the Santa thing... it was just obvious there was no Santa to me bc i always got what i told my parents i wanted. Again, just a duh moment... i'm sure some things happened to my brain chemistry... but when do things not happen... it was def. not something like a drug high or devastating... possibly just felt good that i figured it out... in that sense, when do we not have a good feeling... just a very general article.
The more profound changes one may see in brain chemistry is likely the very gullible types, the follower types, the overly optimistic and trusting types, even the very skeptical types that were hoping for it to be untrue but likely in an obsessive way... etc. In that right, i may agree with some of what the article was talking about. It's also a push towards rationality which is always a good thing so we can get into trans-rational sooner than later.

@3RU7AL
Are you suggesting that criminal behavior is an inscrutable mystery that can never be mitigated or resolved?
Mitigated? Make non-violent illegal stuff legal. Solved? Not in the near future bc as long as Ferrari's exist and only some can have it, some will want it and get that Ferrari anyway they can... falling under legal or illegal. The real question is... Can you cage a human? I'm neutral to stuff, i'm a minimalist... but is the world like me... no. People exist... the more we cage someone from living, the more there will be crime. Location and family matter too... if i didn't come up in a loving family and middle class, i'm the type that would have resorted to crime most likely seeing that even with a cushy life i did criminal behavior in my drug days... why? Bc i wanted cash and cool stuff... and to get high and have sex. Thank Zeus i didn't go to prison bc if i did and had a record i wouldn't have my job most likely...so, i'd either be dead by now or a drug lord. You can't cage humans. I would have lived no matter what... and fortunately for society, my way just happened to go down the legal route. It's a roll of the dice.

@Christen
How do we know that "there are levels"?
Well your first step is to realize this. These levels don't mean one is better or worse... it's just things one knows and can know vs. someone else. I would say i am above a dogs level to reason... i would say Albert Einstein was above my level in understanding physics. It's really simple. It becomes harder when this comes down to a direct conflict in information... that's when people just can't let go of their level even if the other gives them direct evidence... case in point, some religious people vs. scientists. They'd rather maintain a delusion rather than concede someone see's things above their level of understanding. Atheists can fall into this trap too. It really is moot however bc it's also very scientific. There are people that simply cannot reason or use logic... i would say they are at a lower level to someone that can. It then comes down to personality and if they can just let go of their ego. It's all good practice if you are still someone willingly to grow... if you're not, then what i'm saying would be the same thing as me arguing a dog that it's a dog... it will just never get it. There are humans like that too. Just bc some have to capacity to surpass their levels doesn't mean everyone can.

I've never seen the color purple... can you give me evidence purple exists? Or, is that just something i have to experience myself or more importantly, something "i can" figure out myself without seeing it? What type of evidence would help me figure out at the very least purple exists?
Created:

@ebuc
There exists no evidence for "infinite consciousness".
How do you know?

@Christen
Is it the believer's responsibility to prove to the non-believer that God exists, or the non-believer's responsibility to prove to the believer that God doesn't exist?
It doesn't matter. I can tell you all of my experiences and how i came to where i am and you still are left with the choice to believe me or not. And, if you don't experience it for yourself, you may never believe me or anyone else. The best you can do is logically destroy the frauds. You, as a non-believer, are actually better at that than someone like me... so ultimately, i don't want to prove anything bc your existence is necessary. How do i prove anything to you when i think god means people like atheists and theists are all a part of game?
And.... a theist's worldview is limited by a 1000+ year old book called the bible/quran, and by lack of evidence.
You're right, but theist doesn't mean religious. You're fixated on easy wins. I don't get why anyone serious about spirituality would bother debating these Abrahamic religions. All you are going to end up with is lies and manipulation, and you know that's what's going to happen... yet, atheists continue to debate them... i don't get it.
What "corresponding evidence" is there that God exists?
My entire life and experiences i've had, highly make me suspect there is something behind this reality... Logically, the best platform that would explain my suspicions are infinite consciousness, oneness, non-duality, panpsychism, etc... all of these, depending on how you define them, imply everything, infinity, is consciousness. I just call it source since it's the platform... don't really care about which one is right bc more important is who i am to the platform. In any case, you can also call this platform god. I think people shouldn't, but you can. What evidence? This reality. People's experiences. There is no material evidence... bc this isn't something material and encompasses "all."
Neither does religion.
Both religion and science have pieces of the puzzle... but both people obsessed with either or cannot see their own limitations. To me, that's by design. (Not literal design... but obvious that's what an infinite consciousness would do).
I think we're both lost about what your so-called "evidence" is all about, and also trying to make the point that "spirituality" makes no sense.
Spirituality makes no sense to you... that's a limitation i was previously talking about that you can't see within yourself. Why would you assume others haven't transcended this limitation? It's really a human thing... people hate thinking there are levels and that someone may be above them.

@TheDredPriateRoberts
I think our discoveries will be more on the lines of making ourselves infinite or trying to... i don't think we'll ever figure out the source of it all, especially if that source has infinite knowledge or time on us... who knows. Interesting seeing it unfold indeed.
Created:

@TheDredPriateRoberts
"that is the best argument for creation I have heard yet."
I agree depending on the intelligent design argument. My favorite is that everything is an infinite consciousness. That is pretty loaded though, and it would also imply no creation per se. It's as if what is going on in your mind is reality. Is that creation? Or is it just what is?

Brushing aside what? All i'm saying is our current day knowledge is lower consciousness that it will be... just like you are, and everyone.
Proof of an enlightenment.
Evolution of human psych.
Who are you to define enlightenment surpassing consciousness?
Funny in that paragraph, i'm not a neurologist, but i play golf twice a week with one. lol. Anyways, kinda psychic on your part... but all i'm saying enlightenment is the evolution of the psychy... if you don't get that it's not my problem.
This exact same question can be levied at your phony beliefs.
What beliefs? I'm calling things out how i see it. You're a master at spinning strawman.
I see what we call an apple therefore apple exists.
Sure, everything you see exists. And everything i see exists. So perception is the only reality? If that's the case, i just don't believe you and i think there is more to what use present day apes know.
Created:

@janesix
There is no end to enlightenment for finite beings bc we will die before we can fully realize it. But in the finite sense, it means looking above yourself. Wherever you are consciously, there is a level above you. Just like there is level above a dog and a human.
Created:

@TheRealNihilist
A paper proving enlightenment lol. Enlightenment is surpassing your level of consciousness, it's simple with many layers. What is surpassing "proof" to you? To me, the way i see it, is who are you to define the measures of proof? Who is anyone to define the measures of proof when they can't even prove why i am here other than sperm and crawling out of a pussy. Prove to me why anything exists.
Created:
Posted in:

@janesix
Realizing that I am here presently is what made me realize i'm only a secondary source to whatever gave rise to existence in the first place. It's quite arrogant if i say i know what brought me to anything bc if i didn't exist that wouldn't matter... if you never knew me that wouldn't matter... and once i knew me i know it doesn't matter.

@Wylted
The problem is you wouldn't know your comrades
Good point, but i think i could bc i would go after those clearly being evil. I would let the other chaos i'm not sure of unfold. I can't be everywhere so i would make sure i'm right about the hunt. Or maybe better, i can be a gun for hire to people i vetted that need protection. Like a family or something.
Don't deny your inner evil. You can't suppress something you deny is there. To sit there and deny your feelings of lust, anger, greed etc. Is silly.
This is interesting bc i think there likely could be some people that don't have any evil or bad within them. I think however, it's just as rare as pure evil. But i wouldn't call lust, anger or greed evil per se. They all have the potential to become evil, but they can all be good things too. It depends on the person, but that's why i would call them bad overall... not evil.

It's a catch 22
Saying that means that there is no way to fix it... i can't believe that with as much money some make. But currently, jumping to a system from the one we have does have this danger. But that's only bc we are obsessed with greed and power... we do not spend money responsibly and most importantly for the betterment of the whole. That's humanities problem imho.

I didn't read your numbers... but, our goal should be to get as many people to college as possible. A smarter society should be our goal. With that said, we should also work on our school system... they are teaching crap. By making it "free" maybe we can also work on teaching humans what they need to be taught. Things like sociology, psychology, self improvement, self confidence, etc., bc we need more people that understand society and themselves.People like Bernie Sanders believe that making college free for everyone would be the answer.
I will admit Bernie Sanders is talking about big changes... but the reality is, that's a tactic. He will have to meet in the middle with all of his proposals... which to me, the middle is better than where we are presently. I don't get how you can listen to that man and not understand what he is trying to do. If he is true to his words, which is interesting how Trump mimicked his populist message in a way, i think Bernie is what the system needs to actually shake things up. I don't care about who is left or right... i voted for Trump... i care about who is going to shake the system enough to expose those in power manipulating all of us "little people" ... Again, the Epstein case should be a wake up call to society how the powerful just don't care about us... they will kill, they will manipulate, they will do anything in their power (which is a lot of power that we are willingly giving to insignificant humans) to be able to have things they want... like stick their ugly man sticks into 12 year olds. Our world has too much evil running it... and we are all focused on frivolous right / left bullshit. We are still apes with monkey brains sticking to tribes like idiots... this is the world we deserve until we understand who our true enemies are.

I don't like her.
Created:

@Christen
The people will never let that happen. See how both sides are coming together over Epstein. Same thing will happen if the "government" comes after weapons and try to erase guns. It's only a fringe of the left ignorant on guns that want it erased. I just don't think this will happen in regards to erasing "all" guns. It's a fear tactic the right uses.They can and most likely will be able to "erase" millions of guns if they acquire enough power and authority to do so.
I am pro-gun and don't disagree with much of your second paragraph. I think banning "assault rifles" is a dumb and a pander tactic of the left to get votes. I think it would be much worse if a mass shooter had a nice bolt action... shit, even 308, mowing people down from a distance no one see's coming. Or screw guns... look at the middle east... almost all suicide bombers take out 100+ people. We are lucky are problem in regards to mass violence is rifles.It's just that criminals will still keep those banned guns instead of turning them over
They may not be coming after our guns, but they sure are TRYING to
I agree in regards to some, but i think there is also some that just want to figure out laws that would stop violence. But only focusing on guns is stupid bc the problem is multi-faceted. With that said, as much as i'm pro-gun... i'm also for reasonable laws keeping guns out of the hands of people that shouldn't have it. And as long as i can own a gun strong enough to cover me in multiple scenarios... handgun/shotgun for close range, rifles for long range... i don't care what they do. I live in Cali and guess what... i can still buy a gun that shots AK/AR rounds... sure, it's stupid what they did and purely for votes... but i don't feel like it infringed on my rights. I'm not over obsessed about certain guns like a lot of people are. As long as i can cover myself, short/long range... i'm good.
Created:

@Christen
I've heard of him, but i don't believe in the "they are coming after your guns" opinion. They seriously can't at this point. Sure, they can put some bans on AR platforms... but guns that can shot .223 ain't going nowhere. It will just look different and have different options on it... look at California. That's why i think it's dumb. Anything else would go against the 2nd Amen and can't be passed like banning all semi-auto weapons. They just can't do that and even if they try... most progressive won't even go along with that. I don't buy the whole they are coming after your guns fear mongering... i think that is a right talking point so people vote right.
You should really try to understand human psychology when looking at politics. A lot of it is seriously crap for people that have power to gain more power. Don't be so easily deceived by these talking points. Always go back to logic and looking at bigger pictures. Like this example, who does this fear mongering help? Is it fear mongering? Is it logical that they can erase 300+ Mil guns? That seem impossible so go back to the first point... who does this fear mongering help? You'll find your answers not from watching Youtube videos. It comes from looking at society and human nature.
