Let's assume Austin is town for now and lynch Luna. If there are any investigative roles, they should check Austin tonight, since more than one investigative role is kind of unlikely. If no investigative roles claim tomorrow, then we can continue to assume Austin is town.

Any chance he could have been CCing Austin and knew his character was different all along and was hoping it would look like a town slip?
He would have had to come up with that strategy in 2 minutes. Maybe he was just waiting for someone to claim one of those two so he could claim the other, but that's a lot of planning ahead for something he might never get the opportunity to do.

Either I will get lynched today by town or killed tonight by scum. Either way, I'm dead. However, it's still better numbers-wise for town to lynch scum instead of town. So lynching me or not lynching me doesn't really make a difference to me, except that it helps the town to lynch scum instead.

Think of it this way: If you get a scum player, you are near confirmed. If you get us to lynch a town player, it makes it slightly more likely that you are lying about your role.

If I flip scum, Luna is likely to be targeted by the scum team anyway. No one in this POE is long for this world. Also, I've been way more cooperative than Luna, who has repeatedly tried to avoid narrowing the POE this much. So you should at least use his claim to decide who to lynch. If he's scum, force him to use one of his asks.

I misread the PM and said the friend is a she. However, the GPT version of my PM clearly refers to a "he" as in the Simon something case. I don't see how that makes me scum. If anything, it makes it more likely that I fed ChatGPT my actual PM instead of making something up.

According to Casey, my character is a defense attorney. This is because my friend confessed to a crime I knew she didn't commit. This is why I can prevent people from being lynched.
If you buy that justification, my character is Athena Cykes and therefore on team good. However, the theme split could also be men vs women since all the claims so far have been women. If that's the case, my character still confirms be as town if the justification is that convincing.

Sure, I'm the magistrate. I can prevent someone from getting lynched the next day. Imo, this just takes power away from the town since I don't have any special information.
The reason I didn't claim earlier is I would want to draw a night kill from scum to protect more important roles. Maybe they'd think I was lying about my role being bad.

It would work in their interest if they had a high probability of being lynched, and they wanted to make themselves look better in order to take out a town player before they go.
Maybe, but scum could also do what Luna is currently doing, which is saying that Austin is lying but somehow also town.
What makes us so sure Wylted is safe?

Could you lay out your case for sussing Luna?
The main reason is that I know I'm not scum. Here are more reasons that should appeal to the rest of you:
1. I'm willing to admit that scum is probably me or Luna. Luna hasn't admitted that. My question is, why would a scum player admit they are in a very small POE? It doesn't work in their interest.
2. Luna sussed WyIted solely based on mod psyche and voted for WyIted based on that suspicion. It seems like such a stretch to actually vote based on WyIted not being scum yet. Now we know that WyIted is probably town due to an earlier slip, which makes Luna's read make even less sense.
3. Luna said that lynching me might be a good call even if I am town, because I was wrong about scum and tunneled in a previous game. Advocating lynching someone even if they are town seems more likely to come from a scum player than a town player, imo.

I can say that if I was scum, I definitely wouldn't waste a question on Maya, considering she's very likely to already be present, especially as her character fits very well thematically with an investigative role.
Not that you're necessarily wrong, but I tend to find self-analysis useless, since if you thought that far ahead, you may have chosen your actions specifically so you could say "I wouldn't do [x]." If it was someone else's read, I would give it more weight.
But yeah, Luna is my top scum read.
