I must say I am very embarrassed though because I was a dick towards Ragnar or about Ragnar for the ban. Even prior to getting elected I gave him shit for banning you and then when I succeed at changing the minds of mods and getting you unbanned you come out and I think are intentionally trying to get banned.I have already had to apologize to Barney and admit I was an idiot for advocating on your behalf. Your behavior after you were unbanned has no doubt made my job of advocating for future banned members even harder.
If the mods were to resist your authority or give pushback, Barney would be the easiest to work with so far. Given how he interacts with the DART community, he’s one of the few mods that’s agreeable and not robotic.
He’s also consistent with enforcing the rules and handing out bans without becoming a tyrant or abusing his power.

Said person is entitled, passive-aggressive, and whiny. The entitlement cost them the election. It's easier in these circumstances for the loser to fault everyone else for not choosing them as president. - Increase rating deviation for new debaters (they gain more rating if they win, but lose more rating if they lose)
- E.g. for debate 1 the rating change is x3, then for debate 2 the rating change is x2.5, until it flattens out to x1.
- Implement activity requirement - in order to remain on the leaderboard, you need to have finished a debate in a certain past time period
- Add modified rating decay - after a certain period of no debates, rating decays by 5 per week. However, rating deviation also increases.
- Full forfeitures should give reduced rating
Most of these features are implemented on online chess serves, and they have been fairly effective in accomplishing the three features of a good ELO system:
- Discourages inactivity, while also avoiding an "inactivity trap"
- Allows users to get to their real rating faster
- Encourages a few high-quality matches rather than many low-quality ones
This is a perfect suggestion.
