It seems pretty obvious that pride in sexual immorality has been driving youngins from those churches. Maybe that is why all these churches in my town fly rainbow flags. Got to get'em back in somehow!

I think that could be appropriate if you live in a place where people may have experienced abuse? I'm not sure what need there would be otherwise.

Yet they are being abandoned by liberals who think that religion is causing this "hatred"

I am speaking for myself and my localized perception of one community only. I don't know anyone who talks like that, and I know rather diverse lot of people with conservative political affiliation. Broadening beyond my community I've heard how you talk about "liberals" in cultural context from callers on AM radio before, but honestly couldn't relate. I don't speak this way towards others and they do not speak this way towards me.

None of the churches where I am from teach that "being gay" is a sin. There was a wave one year where some kids started saying "gay" and they were throttled. An adult would never say such a thing. The churches are still vibrant integral parts of the community, with stable membership for the time being.

So the Gov. of Alabama, want to force rape victims to give birth.
-->
@FaustianJustice
Because draconian laws such as the current ones weren't crafted until recently.

"there is no law that I can think of that would prevent a state to regulate healthcare services via regulations, licences and privileges to prevent doctors from preforming or limiting them."  You think rationally.  The people that put laws like Georgia's abortion law into motion don't think rationally, at least with regards to a non-authoritarian society.

Hopefully this isn't taken the wrong way, given the nature of the context of your discussion.  It should almost go without saying that it wouldn't be an inappropriate policy that a doctor who doesn't value human life could have their license revoked.

Agreed.  The American left realizes that banning guns won't reduce gun crime relative to the status quo.  So they have decided to move on to banning only AK 47s and AK 15s.  This has it's pros and cons.

The "Pro" is repealing the 2nd amendment.  The Con is the collateral damage.  A tolerated "ban" by the federal government on "assault weapons" effectively constitutes a repeal of the 2nd amendment.

Once that is done, then we can talk about your other compromises.  How does that sound?

According to AOC, cauliflower is racist
You know my family in Puerto Rico in many ways lived off the land, but if I went to a predominantly white community and told them you’re going to grow plantains and yucca and all of these things that you don’t know how to cook, and your pallet isn’t accustomed to, it’s going to be like cute for a little bit, but it’s not easy.  You need to make it as easy as possible to just flow into these communities and make it work.

Extended Clip - AOC

What I love too is growing plants that are culturally familiar to the community; It's so important.  Look all the way back there.  That looks like composting.  They’ve got composting going on, which is so awesome too because composting is really hard to do in a neighborhood like this.  We  just don’t have the pickups and ease of [???] that a lot of other communities have.
  So that’s how you really do it right.  That is such a core component of the Green New Deal is having all of these projects make sense in a cultural context, and it’s an area where we get the most push back on because people say “why do you need to do that?  That’s too hard.” But, when you really think about it when someone says that “it’s too hard to have a greenspace that grows Yucca"  instead of, I don’t know, “Cauliflower” or something, what you’re doing is you’re taking a colonial approach to environmentalism and that is why a lot of communities of color get resistant to certain "environmentalist" movements because they come with a colonial lens on them and it should be no surprise that some of these projects don’t work out usually because our communities are naturally attuned to live in an environmentally conscious way, you know a lot of us are one or two generations from living on the land.
  So the way that you do this right is that you don’t come to a community and impose what you think is right.  That is what so many community development projects get wrong whether itis housing whether it is environmental projects.  What you need to do is plug-in and findsleaders in these communities and support them and also just pay attention whenthey are speaking about these things.  Like so often they’ll just be saying these things forever and it justgoes on deaf ears, and then someone else brings it up from a differentcommunity and that’s the first time its acknowledged when so many people havebeen talking about this for so long.  That’s a huge element to all of this

What is a "people of color community"?

To me it sounds like a community formed on a racial basis, as distinguished from "white"

Alexandria Cortez who seems to have a naturally tan skin tone has Puerto Rican heritage, and people with lighter skin tones have distinct ethnicities as well, independent of their genetics.
Could more appropriately read, *heritage from Puerto Rico

I have to assume you aren't using "community" as in a social context, and it's confusing since that is inherent to the subject.

You are replying to the 5th relevant comment I have made

Snoopys first 4 contributions to the thread

1.  I don't think it's appropriate for Mr. Tucker to represent Alexandria Cortez's 'side' of an issue with a crazy lady.

2.  Welcome.  What is yucca?

4.  I do not "lean right", something that has been previously stated to you. It is also evident that I do not prefer fox news.  I should have wrote Tucker Carlson in post #2.

It isn’t race baiting. It’s a fairly broad and accurate description of the communities and the problems being faced. The implication that the problem is caused by racism, or is inherently racial in nature is really something your artificially injecting into the conversation.
In fact, it was introduced by Alexandria Cortez, picked up by the news and social media, and is a topic of discussion.

If anyone "artificially injected" it is solely Alexandria Ocasio Cortez

May I ask why you think you were triggered by that comment? Given the context, why do you feel that an issue was being made solely about race rather than as part of a wider and more complex issue?

You can talk veganism to your heart's content in this thread. I would like that. I am rather ignorant when it comes to veganism.

I'm still not sure what kind of philosophy you might have.  Here is a random link I read later to post on page 5, maybe of interest to you?

I do not "lean right", something that has been previously stated to you. It is also evident that I do not prefer fox news.  I should have wrote Tucker Carlson in post #2. I may have "pivoted" with you before when a line of questions you had in my Veganism thread continued to press on my take to Pro-Life, which I could not see relevance to veganism in my case. It's true, I might not support a statement that I posted, or answer every question asked of me. While I can appreciate the criticism, it would be nice if you could tie it into the topic of discussion the future.
