Hello everyone, I am pleased to officially announce my candidacy for President of DART, with my vice presidential pick thett3.

I'm here because I think I can represent the best of both worlds between airmax1227 and RationalMadman. Policy-wise, I agree wholeheartedly with what airmax sets out to do. His laissez-faire style of moderation is what caused DDO to become as great as it was for as long as it was. However, there were many times he dealt with things in underhanded, inappropriate ways, on two separate occasions he completely gaslit the community into denying what should have been plainly obvious reality. On top of this, I do not appreciate how he has been setting his thugs on anyone who even dares to consider voting for RationalMadman, as in the thread where Lunatic lives up to his name in his attack on Pie. This thread shows RM's concern about Max just running to give his old boys' club complete freedom to abuse who they want has some legitimacy.

On the other hand, I disagree with RM's policy quite a bit, but have nothing but respect for him as a man and as a candidate. As a show of good faith, I will be casting my vote for him when the election comes, and may the best man win. I personally don't think stricter moderation is good for a web community, but if it's what the community proves they want by voting him in, it's necessarily what's best. I wish him good luck.

One of my more obvious criticisms is that I, like Max, have not been super active. However, I have been considerably more active than him at the start, and have stayed more in touch with the community through both Facebook and Discord. I think I have more a finger on the pulse and will be able to do what is necessary.

Thank you.

Drafterman recently described mafia as a game of social deduction with an informed minority and an uninformed majority. Survivor involves just as much deduction, with one twist: there are no factions, at least not ones that can ultimately share the win. There is one winner. One Survivor. Every round there is a challenge that will make one person (or multiple people depending if we can get enough players to have tribes) safe, everyone else is eligible to be voted out at tribal council. During the game, players will PM one another and form alliances to keep themselves safe and see their enemies go home. When two players are left, the last set of people voted out, the jury, will vote for who they believed outwitted, outplayed. and outlasted the best to become the Sole Survivor!

Over the course of the past week or so, a group chat of old DDO users has been created on Facebook dot com. Through this group chat, I launched a campaign to get RM into the hall of fame. We got the ball rolling very early, pushing most of his early nomination votes. As things progressed we eased off and let the momentum we caused inspire other users to vote him of their own accord. I will say that he got enough nomination and final votes from non-malicious users to justify his placement in the HOF, but I cannot say what effect our early trolling had on giving him the momentum necessary. I apologize to bsh, RM, Mike, Supa, and all others impacted by our interference. I truly am sorry I was not able to let an election go by without meddling.

Really, you're unbelievably condescending for someone who's turned himself into an outcast on two debating websites....I have never and will never give the slightest scintilla of a fck about how people perceive me: unlike you, my sense of self worth doesn't derive solely from an online facade, nor will I go to lengths to (hopelessly, in your case) try my luck at a dck-measuring contest that is, without question to any sensible person, unwinnable.

Here's a little gift to Bsh for making it as a moderator. I've been intending to do something like this for a while, so here's to hoping they enjoy this.

-------

Bsh took a deep breath as he slowly drove his car out of the garage. Taking one wistful look back at his comfy house, Bsh bravely drove off into the unknown.

He felt oddly as if every moment in his life was culminating into this single event. While telling himself to keep it together, he was reminded that he felt particularly stressed about all of his first dates, but something in the back of his mind foreshadowed the night that was to come.

Bsh had still been reeling from a nasty breakup with his partner RationalMadman who turned out to not be gay after all when his friends finally talked him into getting the grindr app. Such was his luck that the first man he stumbled on was a tall, dark and heavily muscled CEO named YYW. After exchanging a few messages the pair decided to go on a date instead of hooking up because their chemistry was such that maybe, just maybe, and actual relationship could occur. For the first time in his life Bsh felt as if everything in his life was coming together perfectly.

It's come to my attention that a thread was recently deleted where someone in crude blackface claimed to be thett3's friend Tyrone. While I was disgusted and disturbed by the contents, I find it hard to decipher why exactly moderation thought it was appropriate to delete the whole thread. So far as I can tell there was nothing in violation of the TOS.

The amount of time it takes to play PUBG is simply not worth any social/intellectual benefits it has. I find it absolutely incredible how many people on this site burn time on such a frivolous activity. It's just as bad as an addiction to forum-games. Even for people who have an abundance of time, surely your time would be better spent learning or even socialising irl. I could understand a game once in awhile, but at the rate some people on here play, I find it hard to believe that they lead any kind of desirable life.

It had to be said.
