You're operating under the assumption that, because Obama wanted to push America to the left, he would also want to push France to the left. This assumption is unfounded; if Obama believed Obamacare was the ideal system of healthcare, he would change the current system of healthcare from complete privatization (which means he pushes it to the left) or from universal health care (which means he pushes it to the right).
Obamacare was what Obama was aiming for as a compromise because he was ambitious, but not so ambitious as Bernie Sanders is on healthcare. Obama believed Obamacare was better than the status quo, so he implemented it. He knew he couldn't implement UHC because of the GOP and the American people. But he thought he could get Obamacare passed, and he was successful.
Just because a politician wants the tax rate to go from 3% to 5% doesn't intrinsically mean they also want it to go from 10% to 20%.
Such a politician probably would want the top marginal income tax rate raised from 10% to 12% though, because on that issue, they want slightly more left wing policy.

Lets say there are 2 politicians. One advocates cutting the top marginal income tax from 10% to 5% and the other wants to raise the top marginal tax rate from 3% to 5%. The former politician is on the right on this issue and the ladder is left because the former wants to make their area more right wing and the ladder wants to make their area more left wing.
Obama wanted to make America more left wing by going from an even more privatized form of healthcare to Obamacare. Obama is on the left. If he was born in France, he would want more funding to go to France's UHC.
If Le Pen advocated for a public option, she'd be on the right. Someone in the US advocates the same thing, they are on the left.

I didn’t vote for that piece of shit who increases the debt and can barely form complete sentences, but he is my president. It’s so sad how we are stuck for president between someone that sniffs children (Biden) and someone that cheated on his wife (Trump) with little signs of remorse. If these are our options, I’m probably doing a write in because presidents need to be people of good moral character. You don’t need to be nice, but you can’t be an adulterer like Trump or a child sniffer like Biden.

Well, are you willing to compromise your less passionate values to get what you want the most? Like for me, I oppose higher taxes on the rich because they earned that money. But I’ll gladly tax them more to help pay off the debt if we can cut spending to 2015 levels.

They are both far left politicians. Le Pen supports all of the following policies:
1) She is an open feminist.
2)She Is pro choice
3) She supports Medicare for all
4) She supports gun control
5) She opposes the death penalty.

Parents have a god given and constitutional right to teach their kids any religion they want. If you have kids, you don’t have to teach them religion. But parents have the right to.

Biden won presidency, so he does represent the whole country. But he is trying to appeal to the right, he isn’t gaining any of their support, and he’s losing left wing support.
If he ended the deportations, his approval rating would be in the 50s. If he legalized weed nationwide as well, it would be close to 60%. But he’s governing as an authoritarian conservative, and the right won’t back anyone except Trump. The left sticks to their values more, so they disapprove of Biden.

So you support the death penalty for a female if they commit their own abortion and knew that it was a human being, but wanted them dead for convienience reasons. This is way more tyrannical than sterilizing and taking a kidney of the man who impregnated her.
But the key difference is one group is citizens and one isn't. There is an important distinction that allows different treatment by law.
The 9/11 terrorist attacks were American citizens. Citizenship status is irrelevant though; a murderer who is undocumented is just as bad as a native born citizen who is a murderer. If an undocumented immigrant gets raped by a native born citizen, if you support letting the native born citizen get away with it because the rape victim is undocumented, that’s evil; there is no other way to put it.
And the reason that I worry about terrorist attacks more than heart disease is this: I eat healthily and get exercise. I can do a lot of things in my power to prevent heart disease.
Many other people have that same mentality; there still is a 14% chance you die of heart disease. The odds of you dying from a terrorist attack are extremely small.
It is Authoritarian to worry about things that have an extremely small chance of killing you, whether those things are terrorist deaths, mass shootings, police killing black people, car accident deaths (so you can reduce speed limits).
Fear takes away people’s freedoms. So don’t worry about extremely rare events.

Homeschooling lets parents install their own values into their kids instead of the state. The state has no buisiness whatsoever indoctrinating our kids with leftist orthodoxy(or conservative orthodoxy).
Let parents install their own values in their own kids. Homeschooling in addition produces better grades for kids. The typical kid is in the 80th percentile by the standards of public school.

Eliminating welfare is just fine, until you find yourself in need of welfare.
If I need help, I go to a church, not the government. The church was funded by means as consensual as religion it’s self; the government is not.
Perhaps if people on welfare weren't allowed to vote.......How would that work for you?
I would support that, but in addition, all welfare recipients need to rely on a consenting religious or secular charity; not the government.

No, I think that since we are living in an era of a lot of propaganda around the matter, I wouldn’t propose the average woman getting charged as a murderer. However, I do have higher standards for people that go to medical school and know fully that they are terminating a human life.
What if the pregnant female felt the kid inside her and due to her not liking the feeling, she aborted. If the female thinks she is killing a human being but kills them due to convenience (a huge proportion females that abort think they are killing a human being and do so because of pregnancy pains) would you support giving her the death penalty? If so, that sounds more authoritarian than making the guy who impregnate her get sterilized and give a kidney.
We also used to not feel threatened by foreigners learning to become pilots. Then those foreigners flew planes into our buildings and killed thousands of people
One small group of horrible immigrants did 9/11. Banning immigrants from flying planes based on this is akin to banning guns for white people because a white person did a mass shooting. Both ideas are equally authoritarian and horrible. If your not worried about heart disease deaths (about 600,000 US deaths annually) it makes no sense to be worried about terrorist deaths (less than 170 deaths a year(American Deaths in Terrorist Attacks 1995-2016 (umd.edu))).

Then the kid is going to be on welfare when they are older. I don't want these foreigners on welfare (or anyone else on welfare). So they get a free education (just like what your kids will get) paid for by documented parents and undocumented parents. But at least the undocumented parents themselves don't need their education paid for; they got educated in their home country, whereas both of us got our education paid for when we were kids. America should be opening the borders to maximize the number of taxpayers to pay off the debt.

The Constitution is only for American citizens. It was more of a musing, but it would certainly be effective.
The constitution applies to everyone in America's borders; just like the constitution wouldn't apply to an American living in a foreign country.

I don't encourage immigrants having kids, but if they want kids (just like if native born citizens want kids) they have the right to have them. I'd prefer it if people homeschooled their kids because it's a cheaper and better education for the kids than public school bureaucratic waste. But once the kids become adults, they contribute to the US economy (unless they get deported, I wouldn't let the kids consume government benefits if anchor babies).
If you don't want anchor baby youth to be burdens to the state, don't deport them when they are 18. The law indicates that anchor babies, undocumented minors, and native born citizen youth already get a free education paid for by their parents through tax dollars. The question is should they get deported when all that education is put into them? I think it would be ridiculous to deport taxpayers like that after all that education we put into them. If you propose, "lets just kick the undocumented out of school", then they are going to be welfare recipients when they are 18+ and I don't want them on welfare.
More working age adults are beneficial to the US economy in the short and medium term. More kids is bad for the economy in the short term and better in the long term. I don't support giving undocumented elderly people social security if they come here after retirement age.
