@WyIted
I dont think bans are really the solution, when site has so few users who post daily.
I think the solution is to ignore insults as if they werent even said and keep asking your opponent to refute your arguments.
The other users or mods too can point the user to use arguments.
I feel like most situations can be solved without reaching for the ban button, with just clear directions.
If someone calls me stupid, I can just say "Yes, I am stupid, but what is your response to this argument here?"
Of course, there are situations where words cant help and person just keeps going with insults and rule breaking, but I feel like those situations are rare.
I think if person is given direction, it usually works.
It shouldnt be "dont do this or you get banned."
It should be more like "do this instead".

I am not one of those who think that an evil person cant be smart.
While intelligent people are usually better people, it is very possible that an intelligent person becomes evil.

Attack the argument, not the person.
I am not sure about rules right now, but people did get banned before for using direct insults too much.
You can insult arguments, but not people.

Having options is something which is most desirable by all humans.
All humans desire to have many options in life.
Life without options tends to be a bad life, since people who have no desirable options available to them tend to suffer.
Therefore, increasing number of options is most desirable.
So anything which increases number of options people have is morally good.
But to achieve equality between people, everyone must have equal amount of options available to him.
Hence the term "greatest equal options".
For example,
I have an option to eat sugar. I also have an option not to eat sugar.
Those are in total 2 options.
You have those same options.
Your options dont contradict to mine, so we can both have those options, we can both have any of the 2 options, greatest equal number of options.
If sugar was banned, we would only have 1 option, which is to not eat sugar.
Since allowing sugar increases number of options we have, it follows that allowing sugar is morally good, where making sugar mandatory or banning it is morally bad.
So anything which increases number of options to the greatest amount possible is morally good, where things which decrease options are morally bad.
This moral system still needs to be tested for how well it handles things like abortions and refusing to reproduce, because I like moral systems which make abortion look good,
although its gonna be difficult with this particular moral system which seems to be promoting the creation of life to increase number of options by increasing number of people.

I sure wish people would show genuine interest in the OP and watch the documentary before commenting
Well, there are millions of documentaries out there, and person can in a lifetime at best watch only few thousands out of those millions.
So person has to skip most of them.
Plus, you kinda made it easier by not even saying what the documentary is about.
In fact, you should present an argument and study.
Documentaries and "only links" I just ignore, since they arent arguments.
I dont debate against links.
There were times when you could have trolled people by posting links and making them argue against links while you sit back and do nothing.
But those times no longer apply.

they demonise porn and wanking/fingering and glorify safe sex
I dont consider porn as something bad.
I started watching porn very early.
It didnt do any particular damage to me.
I am way smarter than an average person, and also much more peaceful and much less greedy.
Of course, same could have been true even if I never watched porn, but studies do say that people who masturbate a lot live longer, are happier and smarter, so I think I made a good decision.

Conservatives want to protect children from truth.
Its the old type of family values in which all sensitive topics are avoided.
But person learns sooner or later.
Conservatives think its better to learn later.
Unless its about their imaginary God.
In that case, its better to learn as early as possible to ensure proper indoctrination.
"Teaching children about safe sex is bad, teaching them about logic is also avoided, but nothing wrong with telling them there is a psychopathic God who burns people alive if they are gay or atheist." - This is how Christian and conservative families work.

Greatest thinkers are greatest because they ignore all the nonsense which their environment has taught them, and think past that.
If a person just copies others, he will never be greater than others.
If he just repeats what he was taught, it is like he has no mind of his own, but his mind is just a copy of someone else's mind.
Most people dont have mind of their own.
Anyone quick to accept whatever he is told without thinking about it cannot be called a thinker in any sense of that word.
Anyone acting without logical thought, or acting on feelings, is closer to an animal than to human.
Society overburdens people with information, and most remain in the role they were assigned.
Example: Child of christian parents will most likely be a christian. Child of muslim parents will most likely be a muslim.
Even poverty is heritable, sadly.
But if you look throughout history, greatest thinkers were always different from most people, and not just by tautological meaning of greatest.
They invested a lot into thinking and logic, where most people invest into having fun or casual conversations which give no logical product.

I used to have depression coming back every now and then.
I could never figure out what exactly causes it, until I started personal quest where I wrote a lot about what relates to depression.
My first observation was masturbation.
It seemed that if I dont masturbate for 2 weeks, depression stops and doesnt come back anymore.
However, what builds up is pressure, so it was not an ideal solution.
The next discovery I made was drinking a lot of water at once, about 700 mililiters at once.
It was much better, but from that discovery, I concluded that maybe overeating also reduces depression.
Turns out thats true too. If I eat a lot of food at once, I become happy.
Other discoveries were positive thinking, simple problem solving, one meal per day, learning new things... all which were shown to help with depression.
But my best discovery was pure accident.
I wanted to see how much calories I can reduce daily without losing weight.
It was sort of a test to see how much food I really need.
The test itself also came as an accident, because I got sick and couldnt eat for a few days, and since I didnt feel hunger, I wanted to use the opportunity and for research purposes after that I reduced calories daily to about 1000, then increased to 1200 later.
However, when doing this research, I didnt think it would have effect on the mood and depression.
I couldnt help but notice that my mood greatly improved.
Depression didnt return at all.
To my surprise, reducing calories to about 1200, and eating once or twice a day, seems to work surprisingly well to solve depression.
Even after I controlled for other factors, such as water intake and how often I drink water.
It seems that simply reducing amount of calories alone does great against depression and improves mood significantly.
In research, its really important to write everything down, because thats how you notice causation/relation.
In fact, I dont think much research is possible if I rely on my memory alone.

@TheUnderdog
My moral system is that morality is subjective, so I dont have one rule which fits all.
Its more about benefits vs harms.
But there are general principles:
1. Preventing my great pain is most important.
Basically, nothing else matters if I am in unbearable pain.
2. Creating some happiness
Well, I am not really a big fan of trying too much to be happy, but some happiness is good
3. Increasing knowledge
It might seem at first that this has no place in moral systems, but actually, it is related to every moral system, as they usually depend on knowing a lot to be able to judge.
4. Preventing great pain of others, or not causing more pain than I remove.
5. Increasing freedom
I think that greatest freedom exists when person has the most options to choose from, and when he is aware of all options.
So increasing knowledge is related to increasing freedom.
6. Principle of non-action
This one, also known as wu wei, means that in most cases, it is better to not do anything.
It is based on idea that person has no obligation to fight against evil, and that usually, fighting against evil creates more problems, especially if evil has lots of power.

Okay, so after testing some decks, it seems to me that yugioh is now all about spamming monsters.
There is simply no point in making trap deck, even hand traps seem to be a waste.
The principle of duel is quite simple.
Your goal is to have card combinations, the more the better.
Trap cards simply harm the card combination, and they arent really guaranteed to work to stop opponent.
For example,
I put in my deck 3x Ra sphere mode, 3x lava golem and 2x primal being.
All other cards I put in deck serve the purpose of summoning.
For example, my kashtira deck is 3x of each kashtira card, 3x Ra, 3x Lava Golem, 2x Primal being.
And thats what works.
But as soon as you place trap cards, such as solemn, your deck starts being less consistent.
This is true since trap cards are non-combination cards.
Yugioh is all about combination cards now.
Basically, 2 or more cards which form a combination.
Without combination, you cant do much.
But trap card means one less card in your hand.
So where you would otherwise have 2 available combinations, too much trap cards in deck can reduce the number of combinations to 1 or even 0.
And since many combinations get stopped, the goal is to have as much combinations as possible.
Trap cards reduce your combinations certainly, but they arent guaranteed to stop opponent's combinations.
For example, if you go second, you wont even be able to use traps, since opponent will go first.
And if opponent succeeds in summoning monster, traps cant do anything against it.
This is very different from before.
Back in the old days, yugioh was all about trap cards.
In fact, summoning 1 monster and setting 4 traps was common play.
Now, it is basically non-existent play.
Its simply because monster spam decks got too much support.
Most of the top decks can summon over 5 monsters every turn, and traps cant counter that.
The only thing which counters that is if you also summon that much per turn, and if you have cards like Ra sphere mode to clear up the field.

They were NOT "random links." Those were very specific subjects that go to the very heart of the question.
Thats your assumption.
For all I know, they could be just some random nonsense or cat images.
I dont want to read random nonsense.
And I do not have to repeat what the article says, you can read if for yourself.
Or you could post what the link says, so I dont have to open it.
I dont open links.
Your refusal to open and read them is your personal problem, not mine.
I will not be opening your links.
That is my personal problem.
Since you refuse to say what your links say, I guess we will never know if you actually told the truth, or if they are just some random nonsense.
it is rather apparent you are lazy and cannot handle reading the truth, but come on.
I dont read the truth because you refuse to post what your links say.
Now, I think your link contains bunch of lies, and really, until you post what your links say, I have no reason to open them or believe otherwise.

@TheUnderdog
The first amendment states the government can't prosecute you for your speech.
There is this interesting fact about constitutions.
Apparently, there are situations where one part of constitution contradicts another.
Person cannot be happy if everyone around him is constantly insulting him from early childhood.
While the constitution does guarantee free speech, it also guarantees right to pursuit of happiness and liberty.
Sometimes those end up in contradiction.
Free speech is rarely interpreted as total free speech.
I do appreciate being able to express an opinion, which is something most people didnt have for thousands of years.
I also think there is speech which is greatly harmful, and takes away someone else's liberty, basically.
Of course, it mostly affects young people.
Young people might even be driven to suicide due to people insulting them and humiliating them through speech.
Its not a perfect world, and total free speech isnt perfect either.
It comes with its flaws.

@Theweakeredge
This, for me, is the best debating site.
I know this site doesnt work for everyone, and there are plenty of reasons why many people choose to leave.
If you want to stay on this site, you have to:
1. Understand that arguments are opinions, and someone's opinion shouldnt bother you too much to make you quit.
In fact, most arguments are easy to disagree with, since their premises tend to be assumptions.
2. Understand that its not about rating or winning
Rating system is designed in a way that someone has to lose a debate and lose rating.
There is no way to have someone win without someone losing, because system is based on that.
Of course, in my opinion, the system improved from what it was before.
There is no more endless farming of wins from new users.
But the point is, if you focus too much on rating, you will begin hating the site because rating is very slow to increase.
Once you give up on that, it allows you to have more focus on important things, such as learning and having fun.
Really, anyone who approaches this site with "I gotta win every debate" is going to quit the site after losing few debates, and thats what usually happens.
I am not saying that you shouldnt try to win, I am just saying that it shouldnt be your top priority here.
3. Learning how to learn
Most people approach the debate with "I must defeat my opponent" without seeing the obvious.
The obvious is that your opponent might be right, and you are so eager to prove him wrong that you cant accept that he is right.
One of the greatest skills in debating is being able to debate all sides of the topics.
Now, its too bad that you are leaving the site.
I wish you well and I hope you come back once you get bored of debating in real life.

@TheUnderdog
Yeah; but it's the choice to make.
I know its a choice.
The question is should such choice be allowed.
In my view, it shouldnt be allowed, because it destroys many other choices as a result.
You should be at least 25 in order for me to be fine with you committing suicide, because that is the least reversible choice out there.
I am thinking more like age 40 and above.
How long have you been mastrabating?
I started masturbating when I was like 6 or 7.
Well, maybe I masturbated before that, I cant remember.
Created:
Posted in:
-->
@TheUnderdog
But it's from something that you chose to do
Its something which takes away many of your choices, as destroying even one year of your life destroys lots of your choices.
So its more of a violation of freedom than it is freedom.
Its one choice which destroys years of many other choices.
Its similar to suicide debate, but in case of tobacco, people who dont want to die are killing themselves just because it feels good.
I dont think that people who want to live should be allowed to kill themselves due to stupid choice they made as teens and got addicted.
Its better if it is never an allowed option, as it saves much more options as a result.
But then that would mean you believe you should be banned from having sex with minors.
Yes, it should be banned.
I believe mastrabation is addictive
Anything can be addictive.
Masturbation is healthy.
I started at 21.
Well, I started masturbating much earlier.
