I have a problem with Earth right now. Haven’t seen anything from him at all, and he likes to lay low as scum if I remember correctly. He didn’t even bother responding to my vote on him, and goes straight into “I want Wylted’s claim” joining you and GP in the wagon. It’s hella opportunistic
That's fair. Earth is probably the player that I have the hardest time reading tbh. He never really posts that much as either alignment, and the posts that he does make are always very terse, which makes him hard for me to read.

I'm not crazy about pushing Wylted for a claim tbh. I'll vote for him if it comes down to the wire and we just need a lynch, but right now my gut is telling me he's town.
That being said, I still don't have any real scumreads on any players right now, so I feel like the lynch today should be either GP or Luna. GP seems like he's not even taking the game seriously, which is actually super annoying to me, plus his claim is unconfirmable and the whole thing about his own death not even being revealed is super weird to me. Also, he didn't respond to my question about what happens if he gets lynched today.

Good question. Thinking back to Austin's UPick mafia, neither Pie nor I fakeclaimed our characters. I did get caught eventually, but my demise had nothing to do with my claim. In Lunatic's Villainous Villains, (why do I constantly find myself referencing that one game?) I remember that Owen faked his character, but I think his might have been one of the ones that was assigned by Lunatic as he hadn't chosen a villain himself -- Owen was Santa Clause. The other two scum players claimed their real characters iirc.
So I don't think scum would be trying hard to avoid claiming -- that just doesn't make sense to me. As for whether or not they'd be trying to softclaim early, that's a different matter. I'm not sure about that one, but I am sure that softing should give absolutely no towncred in this game. Fakeclaiming your character in a UPick-style game is easy as sin.

So far, I have no scumreads. The way both Mharman and Austin have been talking through their logic comes off as towny to me, though there's still that bit about Austin being quick to townread GP that I pointed out. I understand his reasoning, but Austin ignoring the possibility of GP being flipless while a stump does raise an eyebrow for me.
Wylted is probably town. Mostly just vibes/intuition here. Maybe I'm getting overconfident, but after the last game, I really do feel good about my ability to read Wylted. I'd still like to see more from him before I can solidify my townread, but I doubt he's scum at this point.
Null reads on basically everyone else. We're still only on page 3, so there's only so much I can say at this point.

Honestly I don't think scum were given fakeclaims. Everyone submitted their albums already- all scum needs to do is find a town role for the album they submitted.
Yeah, mod-given fakeclaims make no sense in a game such as this one.

GP's roleclaim reads as town, treestump is a difficult role to explicitly fake since pretty much any sign of having an active ability just outs you. If he is actually a treestump, then it's basically guaranteed to be town-aligned since there's no point of having a mafia treestump - after flipping scum, no one's going to listen to them.
Interesting point. Tbh, my first thought was that GP should be the lynch if we don't find a better option by the end of the DP. It's a role that can't be confirmed before death, and even if he dies, we still get active feedback from a confirmed townie.
Also, it's worth noting that I was a Tree Stump of sorts in Mayday Mafia, but to activate my Tree Stump status, I had to be flipless for the day. I assumed this was just so that I wouldn't be confirmed town while still able to talk, meaning I could still potentially be scum, though no one seemed to question my townie status at all. I think it's noteworthy that Austin seems to be overlooking this possibility.

Honestly, that's a good question. I think it might be too early to say tbh. I think the Jester is going to try and blend in with the town so they can get lynched, so I somewhat doubt it's anyone who's doing anything that makes them stand out.

It's true that GP could be the Jester, and it's the one thing that gives me pause wrt lynching him. I think he's more likely just a 3P who genuinely didn't fully understand what was going on, but I could be wrong and he could be the Jester.
That being said, I don't understand why multiple people would try and pretend to be the Jester. What's the point? If you stand out as a likely clown, you're likely to get NK'ed by Town. Town wants to lynch themselves and 3Ps and shoot the clowns at night.

True, but I think he genuinely didn't realize there was no scum team in this game. Wylted made the exact same mistake. 3Ps in this game can joint win with anyone else according to the OP, so I think GP was probably just stating that he could joint win with scum. I get the impression that he's trolling more than anything right now (hence the "I am 4th party" post), so I don't know what to read as accurate.
I think that particular post about being 4th partyywas him trolling, but his previous posts about his wincon read as genuine to me. I could be wrong, but I feel pretty sure that he is not town. It's just a matter of whether he's actually 3P or a mime/Jester.

So, are we all going to collectively ignore post #37 from GP? He says getting someone lynched is part of his wincon, then says "well I am guessing I can win with your scum team." So, he basically openly says he is third party. The only reason I think he would do that is if he genuinely was confused and thought there was a scum team, or he was just pretending because he is a clown. Either way, he's clearly not town. Like, am I missing something here? Why would he say that he needs to lynch somebody if he is town, and why did he not deny being 3P?
