I think your point is that,
You value positive interactions on this site and views that 'you like,
Above freedom.

But I might be mistaken about that,
So, worth me asking some questions.

Assuming that my view of your point is true though,
It doesn't mean that 'I value positive interactions on this site and views that 'I like,
Above freedom.
. .
Or rather, that I see 'freedom, 'as a positive interaction, a value that I like.
. . .

I 'like, being able to consider other peoples views,
Like being able to amend my own, rather than 'assume I am correct.

I like being able to 'speak my views,
Like being able to advocate for what I consider right.

Ah, I did see that post,
But forgot about it,
As the thread looked to be going in more in a disagreement between people, than explanations by people of their views,
I passed it up a bit,

That is a bit vague for me,
. . .

Well, you mention the Scott Adams topic,
As well as racism and transphobia.

Why do you draw the line there?

Should people not have freedom of association and disassociation?
Be able to advocate for their tribe?
For their moral and ethical values?
. . .

Myself I value freedom a fair bit,

Yet am willing to limit it from violence,

So long as they are not advocating 'violence,
What is the issue?

I dunno,
Might have been some updates about what they've been doing,
But if so I haven't been paying attention, didn't see them.

Doesn't mean they're 'not doing anything,
And understandable if life get's in the way of doing more.

But, . . .
People 'do appreciate work more,
If they're 'aware of it,
And one can't always count on others to know what one has done,
Why it's better 'sometimes to be obvious, talkative about what one has done.

Respect vs. courtesy
-->
@TWS1405_2
@Bella3sp
And yet,
I think people are more likely not to be courteous,
When they don't respect someone.

Though in this sense, respect becomes a bit warped in meaning.

A prison guard might not respect a murderer as a human being,
Might ignore courtesy guard is expected to give to a person,
Thinking the murderer 'unworthy,
'Yet,
Have a respect for the murderers strength,
Fear it, and make sure to have other prison guards about, when ignoring said courtesy.
. .
Or respect the murderers craziness, capability to shank them,
That even if they don't respect them as a person,
Respect of their potential to violence,
That they give the prisoner courtesy.
. .
Also are prison guards who would still think a murderer deserves courtesy, even being a murderer,
Thinking that doing less would demean themself, to not show courtesy to another human being,
Respecting their humanity, despite their crimes.

Well,
There 'is life on Antarctica,
Human researchers are allowed to live there,
Though no colonists,
There's animals and plants (Though limited),
I don't know what the Ice Age was like for various humans, but we survived that,

'Swords look more fun to me,
With guns, seems like a 50/50,
Though I suppose quickdraws might change it to skill,
Or using smoothbore old pistols, reduce the accuracy and danger.

Still, with swords, I'm sure I could be 'easily murdered,
Stronger or more skilled people in the world, easily, easily.
. . .

I'd say I often get in character in debates,
But just because I argue for something, doesn't mean I always support or want something.
Though,
For dueling,
I 'do think there are decent arguments for Freedom, Population, and Honor.
. . .
Still, I'm doubtful I'd want to participate in one myself,
And I'm unsure about people's arguments regarding coercion.

It 'probably 'does add some unsafeness,
Hm,
I've forgotten my arguments for being Pro Gun,
I suppose I'll look up that one DDO debate again.
. . .

Still, on the topic of unsafeness,
I 'do think items can add towards likelyness of a situation,
Whether suicide, accident, homicide.

But they also have the ability to protect, in normal times,
In local crisis unrest disaster,
In war.

Also argument of freedom,
Which I 'might call a bit hypocritical of me,
Due to some of my stances arguing for communities being able to ban from their communities certain objects, actions, behaviors.
Still,
I hold that stance more often, towards times when certain items are 'already banned,
The community is in 100% agreement (Not even one dissenter),
New communities,
Or when the land/property is 'owned by whoever is doing the banning.

@IlDiavolo
It's my view that religion has held many intelligent thoughtful people,
My view that much morality, philosophy, has 'come out of religion.

'Many ancient people, thoughtful, 'brilliant,

'Seems to me a mistake to think of ancient people as 'pure ignorant thoughtless.
History is a testament to their works, inventions, continual progress.
Shoulders of giants, 'maybe.

It's hard for me to determine.
. . .

But the Bible for example,
Contains 'much wisdom, thought, consideration of the past, theory and argument.
. . .

Many people 'always thinking,
Whether now or back then,
Looking for game theory of what 'functions best in life,
Looking for what values speak in their heart, and how they might be expressed.

Respect vs. courtesy

@Greyparrot
My opinions on the video,
Minus some controversial thoughts.

The man encourages respecting other people's opinions by allowing them freedom.
Woman says take away people's freedoms so the behave the way she says they ought.
. . .

Respect and courtesyare vague words.
, ,
Respect is the 'feelings one has towards another,
But that respect can be 'shown in action,
'Action respect, is often demanded by laws.

Courtesy seems to me more purely action,
But like Action Respect, is often demanded by laws.
. . .But courtesy 'softer than respect maybe, less expected,
Hm, courtesy, consideration?

When I say demanded,
I mean coercion,
Boss demands you say Sir for example,
But people can have odd ideas of 'what Action Respects are,
Odd behaviors, actions, customs pop up.
. . .

The man encourages Action Respect to Freedom,
As he argues it will end in best outcome,
Issues will become 'addressed, considered, rather than 'pushed into being without asking whether they are good or bad,
Whether is or that way is a good or bad way to implement them.
And he likes freedom I suppose.

The Woman encourages Forced Action Respect,
As she argues the end will justify the means,
Focused on the end that she wants,
And she likes her tribe.

@Best.Korea
I'm of the view that questions 'can make claims.

There are many translations of the Bible,
Many languages of the Bible,
Even in a conversation between two people in person of the same language and social upbringing,
They make 'interpretations of each others statements,
Look and say to themself, what the other person was meaning.

Parables are explained 'most of all,
By ourselves.

I have stated my view of what the Bible says.
. . .

The metaphor of Jerusalem as a young woman,
By 'context,
Shows what 'proper action towards a woman is,
Implies what 'improper action towards a child is.

Rather than assumption, I would say viewpoint.

The obvious route paved,
Is don't have sex with children.

This is the implication I see.

The Bible doesn't 'need to use exact English as I use it.
Jesus spoke in parables,
Parables need be parsed,
This need not mean Jesus was not making philosophical statements.

The Bible does not explicitly cite punishment for everything it discourages,
It is enough to discourage it,
To call to human sanity, empathy,
The negative effects of child molestation obvious enough.
. . .

"You grew up and matured and became very beautiful. Your breasts were formed and your hair grew, but you were naked and bare.
8
Then I passed by and saw you, and you were indeed old enough for love. So I spread My cloak over you and covered your nakedness."

Clear enough to me, description of sex,
Clear enough that sex can be preformed upon any object,
So the 'act is not what is meant.

Clear enough to me that even a babe can love it's parents,
So it is not the 'experience of feeling love.

It is the 'proper time,
Of which is understood,
Is spoke.

Formed is formed,
Not forming.

Many are statements of other civilizations, societies, individuals,

That by our own human nature or history,
Might have a connection to ourselves.

In my view, 'were I a Christian.

@Best.Korea
A claim is often implicit in a question.
Often a question exists, that the questioned comes to the 'claim, themself, through their thought process, following an obvious route, paved by the question.

"would you wait for them to grow up?"
Implies that it is wrong at 'some point in human development.
You did not ask at what age, one is a child,
You asked "Where in the Bible does it say that sex with a child is wrong?",
I say the Bible says it clear enough in the passage I cited.

Not expected 'does mean wrong.
Stating that proper behavior is X,
Implies that not following X is wrong.

It is enough in our lives to know it is wrong,
Enough that the Bible mentions it,
Historical Social commentary of it's time,
That we can see some other people knew it as wrong as well.

Laws vary,
Some the Bible states itself,
Other's, we make ourselves,
With the Bible as part of our understanding and foundation.
(For people who are religious anyhow)

Then Naomi’s husband Elimelech died, and she was left with her two sons, 4who took Moabite women as their wives, one named Orpah and the other named Ruth.
And after they had lived in Moab about ten years, 5both Mahlon and Chilion also died, and Naomi was left without her two sons and without her husband.
Ruth’s Loyalty to Naomi
6When Naomi heard in Moab that the LORD had attended to His people by providing them with food, she and her daughters-in-law prepared to leave the land of Moab. 7Accompanied by her two daughters-in-law, she left the place where she had been living and set out on the road leading back to the land of Judah.
8Then Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go back, each of you to your mother’s home. May the LORD show you loving devotion,a as you have shown to your dead and to me. 9May the LORD enable each of you to find rest in the home of your new husband.”
And she kissed them as they wept aloud 10and said, “Surely we will return with you to your people.”
11But Naomi replied, “Return home, my daughters. Why would you go with me? Are there still sons in my womb to become your husbands? 12Return home, my daughters. Go on, for I am too old to have another husband. Even if I thought there was hope for me to have a husband tonight and to bear sons, 13would you wait for them to grow up? Would you refrain from having husbands? No, my daughters, it grieves me very much for your sakes that the hand of the LORD has gone out against me.”

"would you wait for them to grow up?"

Is there not an implication,
Of different stages in an individuals life?

Baby, childhood, adult?

Is there not implication that marriage 'before of age, is not expected?

Fake news,
From a certain point of view,
Certainly from my view.

It's arguable that a book banned in a public school, or even a public library,
Is not banned from 'owning.

There 'are books that I can understand parents wanting to remove from schools,
Not wanting taught or stumbled upon,
That 'ought be a right of parents (Within reason, say a town hall vote or something).

'Still, book would be buyable for people in their private lives,

CODE of CONDUCT VIOLATION? ASKING DARTERS to WEIGH IN.
I'm doubtful Best.Korea's intention is to incite a killing of homosexuals,
Given their history of posts,
And that their profile once stated that no one should take any of their posts seriously,
Though it 'might be my memory is wrong, still that's what I remember their profile stating.

While the code of conduct 'does say, you can't threaten or promote various actions,
It seems to me a bit of a gray area,

Where someone might make a joke, criticize a group for possible contradiction (Christians for example), or state a nonserious yearning,
Compared to someone attempting to 'cause other's to action, or plan with people together.

'If actionable,
Warning seems the most reasonable to me.

Ban,
If there is a history of recent warnings,
If the individual blatantly disregards reprimands,
Or harassment, where the harassed has blacked the harasser, yet the harasser continues.

Regardless of it's 'definition,
January 6th is an example of police ought be notified.
People making actionable plans.
. .
I suppose if some individual 'claimed they were going to do something,
It could be argued that the police ought be informed.

Dreams,
I don't actually 'remember any recent sleep dreams, though I 'do have them.

Daydreams, are more an enjoyable fantasy, like watching a movie you made yourself.

Ambitions though,
Well there's realistic, and there's grand intoxicating out of reach.
When I was a child, I played with rocks and army men a lot, dreamed about being a general, or a scientist, but both those faded pretty quick.
As a teenager, I dreamed about being a writer or a criminal,
But being a writer doesn't sound as fulfilling as 'reading books,
And being a criminal looks too risky, I've not the brains or brave to try that. . . Also morality, probably would feel bad of many crimes.
I lazed around home a couple years after High School,
Joined the Navy for five years after that, saved up a large chunk of money,
Lazed around home a couple years after that, though arguably helped my Mom move and buy a house, arguably stuck around a period to help try to get my 2nd brother clean, but he's off the wagon, unlikely to stay clean anyhow, was just staying to get his teeth fixed, but couldn't even manage that. . . But he's not going to be sane again until he goes to prison again, I would bet.

I like the sun, fresh air, books, and games,
I have a job I hate, stocking shelves in a grocery, that in another 6 months perhaps I'll try another job I hate.
Oh sure I could go to college (G.I. Bill) But I don't much care, my Dad went to college, still hated his various jobs in life.
Not to say there's no good jobs, or that college and a slight better job wouldn't be smart of me, but it's raining here and there, just a 'tiny bit less 'there, I don't care to move much.

I never dated in school,
Did and 'do like girls,
But I'm not interested in a relationship, or getting together with anyone, don't want kids.
No,
My ambitions are of the lower sort, poetically speaking,

“They have dreams,” I interrupted, “radiant, flashing dreams—”
“Of grub,” he concluded sententiously. - The Sea-Wolf by Jack London

Still, I love my parents, have their love, respect,
Love my sister, my brothers,
Have their love and respect,
Have an amount of comfort in life.
Have a close friend in life, I still talk to on a regular basis,
Various friends I know less well online, yet talk to a fair bit.
I've hobbies that fill my time, doodles in notebooks, game ideas, books ideas,
But I don't expect I'll will them anywhere.

Turning 30 this year.
. . .

Maybe not 'so low, I remember soft singing this song couple times, last night I worked,

I'd argue that such individuals could be reached out to by projects/groups/help,
Encouraged to spend time with other people.

Though if the social outcasts are not causing trouble,
Then there is less reason (Trade),
For a 'purely capitalist society to fund the help group.
Though as Savant says,
"capitalism + welfare"
. .
It's not unusual for capitalist societies, to not be 'purely capitalist.
. . .

There also are the 'options available,
For social outcasts to reach out in modern society.

Though you say if "people reject them",
A broad statement,
There are many reasons individuals might be rejected,
And many methods to overcome or circumnavigated said rejection, 'other groups that might accept.

'Does become a bit harder if the individuals do not want to reach out themselves.

Hikikomori?

I'd 'think social outcasts of the three questions I gave ilk,

People can have hobbies,

I agree,
Though I would argue that society 'needs the outcasts not to bother them.
(Trade opportunity)

In the case of the mentally ill or down on their luck,
There is also the added moral pressure of you're supposed to help other people,
(Present in 'some capitalist societies, though perhaps not in the concept of capitalism itself)

Still, back to needing the outcasts not to bother them,
Assuming the capitalist society has human rights,
The capitalist society might be convinced to invest into projects/help, to mitigate the outcast problem in a humane fashion.

Sometimes, nice doesn't have to mean pliant.

And then, if a person is nice, is it a willful individual action, or something coerced by society/God/morality?
People vary,
If coerced by society assumes Society/God/Morality expects niceness,
Some societies expect meanness, yet nice people can still exist in them.
But I imagine there is 'some cause in or out of the person that they 'Choose/Are caused into niceness.

Thought #3 How do people get introduced into the underground criminal world?
Varies I imagine,
Some people born into crime families,
Some have friends or acquaintances involved in crime,
Some meet people in prison,
Some walk up to or are walked up to random people and offered X, and over time relationship might grow,
Some people hear of some criminal, and introduce themselves,
Varies I imagine.

how do hitmen and the like get into the business?
I imagine, but don't know, that most hitmen are involved with crime families, gangs, syndicates.

Thought #4 If I'm in a plane crash, and the survivors resort to cannibalism or some Lord of the Flies crap, how do I establish myself as either a leader, or some insane person you leave alone?
Heh,
My eldest brother, just the other day, was asking how long ought one wait before resorting to cannibalism in a plane crash,
Better to eat sooner than later, for strength, and quality of meat, but I digress.

Talk to people,
Ask certain people if they will help you by doing this or that with you,
Those who help tie themselves to you, same as people sometimes latch onto whoever they know a 'little, over those they know not at all.
Announce stuff a lot,
Is chance may succeed, people can be sheeple and just go with whoever 'says they're in charge (Sometimes)

For insanity,
Don't talk much,
Don't obey much,
Don't let other's know much about you,
People often fear that they don't know/understand.
Also weird behavior, but if people think you're 'crazy, then they get crazy afraid aggressive sometimes.

Thought #5 How old is too old for cartoons (Scooby Doo, in particular)?
In public, I dunno, maybe High School? Middle School? I don't know what other kids liked.
In private, unafraid of public opinion, or having friends who share hobbies, The Grave.
I still enjoy clips of it on YouTube, if I happen across it, or be in such a mood.

Thought #6 If you lose your ability to accurately trust your memories, what do you do?
Depends on context,
If drugs, maybe time to get help,
If unknown medical, maybe time to get help,
If Alzheimer's or Dementia, depends on individual wants,
If Other, keep records maybe, photos, journal.

Thought #7 Why do I think I'd survive the zombie apocalypse with virtually no survival skills?
Thought about what you'd do maybe.
Yearning for excitement, decreases danger assessment, maybe.
In your psychology, maybe you know/suspect you'd handle situation better than others.

Thought #8 What are some skills that you should learn? Maybe valuable in the job market, or for personal enrichment?
I should learn how to code and program, then try to make money off making something.

Thought #9 If you travel back in time, what are you going to do to be successful, in whatever capacity you imagine, in whatever time you imagine?
The time before so many cameras everywhere,
Either crime or just sitting around as a guard of someplace unimportant.

South Korea abolishes itself
-->
@thett3
Why an aging population is bad,
Isn't exactly clear to me.

Is it because retired people often in countries receive tax money from the government?
. .
I ask that, as you mention young people as working for the masses of old,
But if there's less workers,
Wouldn't they be paid more?
. . .

Even if there isn't a young man to every bedpan,
Bedpan sounds a bit at the 'very end of life,
If old people stay active, they don't need 'so much care,
Old people can still take care of each other,
Still hold jobs.

@NoOneInParticular
Personally I think a country is best off not accepting immigrants as a 'general policy.

I wonder how many humans at keyboards it takes to write something profitable,
I suppose if the people were randomly selected,
Maybe a 'lot.

If one randomly selects people who are literate or write a 'bit,
Not 'as many,
But still a fair amount, I would think.

Course what 'is profitable, varies on market,
Depends what people are about,
Time, location, culture changes.

Historically, Genghis Khan is just an evil Sun Tzu
-->
@Sir.Lancelot
Do you mean evil in war?
Or evil in ruling?

If in war,
Well I suppose the Mongols 'were pretty violent,
I vaguely remember something about spreading the plague in sieges,
And killing a lot of people if a place didn't surrender? (Maybe)
. . .
But war's pretty viscous in general, maybe.
. . .

Ruling?
I don't know,

Marco Polo wrote something or other about him.
. . .

I don't really recall reading up much on Genghis Khan,
Maybe I'll read of him some.

Aggressive fellow in those Sid Meier Civilization games though.

Public Toilets should Not be Split Between Male and Female
-->
@Reece101
Male and Female restrooms are often put next to each other,
Really just a wall dividing the two,
Just add another wall,
Then people can choose male, female, or unisex.

Men and Woman - Controversial.
-->
@Bella3sp
Well, men 'or women,
Need each other to reproduce,
In History/Mythology
There were the Amazons 'and the Gargareans
. .
Though I suppose since there is mythology involved, either men or women could have just sprung out of the ground.

Still, back on the topic,
Matriarchal societies have and do exist.

I 'do think men and women have different tendencies of body and mind,
Though I couldn't say how much of the mind is nature/nurture,
I'm sure either sex could survive in communities 'just of their own.
. .
But, as we 'seem to be different in a number of ways, we might be able to build a 'better communities together,
Both filling niches in society according to our abilities,
'Both filling 'certain niches 'better on average than the other sex would.

If the slaver is 'getting something from the arrangement. . .

Whether it be a human, their sense of duty fulfilled,
Or a robot, their function fulfilled,

I'd argue the forced situation is the slavery,
Though from that one could also argue slavery exists in existence,
Not to mention all the governments and social interactions, gives and takes,
Hm,
But that's a recent problem for me, 'defining 'when, coercion, slavery,
. . .
Hm,
'Instead, easy enough to say slavery, coercion 'exists,
But that it be one of our values to 'lessen it, when the pain of it reaches too much,
Too much being a vague point,
Like pain is a vague point,
Different people, different numbers from 0-10 given.

I disagree,
Due to highly valuing (Apparent) freedom,

Why do you consider it ideal?

If You Have a Random Thought, Post it Here.
If you record an event, in writing, video, audio, so on.
Then are asked to 'remember that event,
Then you examine your recording,

Can you be said to have 'remembered the event?
Or has a 'new event been created?

'Possible the recording 'also sparked one's memory,
(Though memory can be hazy distortion)

But also possible memory has been forgotten,
And instead new memory of examining the recording, has been created.
