I didn't suspect Pattern was TUF until you said. I now wonder if I would have guessed as you got more engaged but prob not.
As I started getting a wagon, I kind of dropped character out of frustration. Also 3/4 mods were in the game and because I had to report the doxxing issue the mods knew I was lunatic. Kind of defeated the purpose of starting fresh if so many people know I am not new lol

Sorry but when the role description says that you will turn amnesiac if you mimic TP and then you claim that you are amnesiac in the next DP, that claim has to be weighted heavily against the target whatever the other circumstance. Of course it was possible that Croc used that word without first checking the general role descriptions on wiki but once he used that magic word, a hard sus was on the table until disproven.
You genuinely had me tripping that he was actually claiming amnesiac though. I re-read the post and could see how that was interpreted. If I was more familiar with amnesiacs and mimics I might have thought he was claiming that too. I am mostly referring to after he clarified he wasn't changing his role lol.
Any excess of suspicion on my part should be taken as a compliment. Very good players are always weighted less likely to be innocent in my book until hard prove arrives. There's no animosity in my frequent suspicions, just a warranted regular concern that you may be playing the long con on my ass.
Fair enough, it's kind of why I wanted to create the new account though. I sometimes play long cons, but I guess doing so will backfire on the times when I am town.

I agree. Like I said, good points, but it definitely clouded your judgement, eg: self voting, the bearman attacks. While they were valid, it definitely looked scummy in general
Wait, why the bearman "attacks"? I was 100% right about that. Most of the day phase was me trying to properly explain the read to people who didn't understand and thought I was tunnel vision. Anyone who thought that didn't understand the real reason I was voting him. As i've stated multiple times, it wasn't just because of the doc ousting, it was his reaction to my vote, and his sub-sequent omgusing adding to that.

Why does it matter? The site activity is low enough that a fresh post once a week is hardly considered "spam". Also I feel like bumping an old thread doesn't necessarily show that we are starting a new hangout instead of just some random conversation in the other thread.

Kind of already made my opinions known, but I'll answer anyway.

I know my comments in the other thread seem to indicate the answer would be no, but that is not correct. I think moderation needs reform, but overall, yes I think the current mods overall do very well and I've only seen a couple of instances miss the mark.
2. Do you believe ban lengths are too short, too long, or just right?

I think a week should be the most severe punishment for basically everything but doxxing. Doxxing (depending on the severity) should result in a permaban since it infringes on user safety.
3. Do you believe there should be major changes to the CoC in the future?

I would have to study the CoC more, but in general I assume it is probably fine, otherwise I would have seen more complaints about it. I think there should be some discretion in punishing people over minor CoC violations. The CoC shouldn't be ruled with an iron fist as far as forum activity goes. Most moderation should be done on debates and votes IMO.
4. Do you believe the site over moderates?

Kind of a confusing question, but yes. 1 moderator would give less of an appearance of a "click". I think having so many moderators scares old DDO members away. Not sure how I feel about the advisor discord. It seems that literally everyone on the site is in there. The discussions that happen there could almost just happen right on the forums lol.
5. Do you believe with different policies, the site can generate more activity?

I think having one mod and less enforcement of strict rules would attract more mature people to the website. There is a really "young" vibe here, and that kind of goes with the theme of punishing people strictly like they are children.

Probably. Ragnar and virt have good heads on their shoulders, I think they mean well. While I dis-agree with the RM ban, I can at least understand their motives and think they meant well.

If only for the mafia games, which I still enjoy on this website. If more people from the old DDO were here, I might use other parts of the site more. The general age group here feels very young and immature so it's hard for me to form friends as I did on debate.org. But even on DDO I stuck mostly to the games forum. I would like to see this website thrive, I think the owner did a very good job replicating the feel of DDO. I think a few changes to how things run on the mod team and this site could thrive again. The only thing developmentally it needs it group messaging but I think the dev said they were working on that.

2) it's a 12 person setup, the optimal formula is 9v3, a 9v2v1 is a disadvantage.

If all supa is going to do is rant about how I am scum, we should probably flat out ignore him this day phase. If I am getting lynched, I'm getting lynched, that's fine. Let's try not to waste the day phase screaming the same thing over and over again. Town should want to make use of the time in the day phase and hunt for who they think other scum is. Supa not doing that is anti-town, even if he is town cop.

That's a good lead if there were people like that. For people that thought croc was scum that just means they were wrong, no big deal there. Voting for someone then saying "ehhhhhh they might be town though" feels more like scum trying to get the mislynch while also distancing themselves from it to avoid suspicion.
Oromagi and speed stand out to me as the most blatant. Oro said he felt suspicious of me after I claimed. Which is odd and he never substantiated why, and implies inside knowledge. If he was scum he knew croc was town and thus that I was lying. But it didn't take much to convince him to lynch croc either. Speed kind of fell similar but unless I am mixing him up with ragnar I think he gets a pass because he thought it was a bus, which is a much townier angle.

Yeah, actually kinda figured TP lyncher after that croc flip and said as much to warren in my pm (ya'll can even ask him in the endgame). Makes no sense to do that as scum.
I really hate the role tbh. Kind of kills my will to play most of the time with how easy it is. Had the same role in a speed race game and basically pulled it off just as easy but it didn't work due to a voting technicality. You might have been in that one, not sure.
