When it comes to "policy lynching" thats about the only straightforward thing pie is hard on. He has firm beliefs in policy lynching negative utility roles as town, and as scum he would come up with a better claim. In fact I almost guarantee you if you look up pie scum games, you will see he is more likely to hold out claiming several day phases as scum, before claiming. This simply doesn't fit his MO.

Pie is about my only solid townread next to GP. If pie IS scum he is trying a new scum tactic he has never used before, or indicated having interest in doing.

im tempted mospyche town read all the afk's, but then I thought better of it. At first I figured by mod psyche he wouldn't have started the game without at least mafia confirmation but I am starting to doubt that, and maybe he just started the game without any confirmation from anyone. 

He randomly doesnt cehck site for sometimes 3-4 days, I ran into the same issue with starting my game because he didn't check DART

Shoutout to mharman for guessing the scum team first try btw, early on before almost anything was known, I was impressed

The more I think about it, town probably would have been boned in more cases than not in this set up despite having some pretty powerful roles, pies information kind of forced no one to trust confirmation. Also most of town's power was used night phase one since other than whiteflame, most town chose a powerful 1x role over everynight roles. And whiteflames role was basically not a threat with the lawyer. That roleblock might have been towns only saving grace outside of behavioral reads. And i'll give it to town, the casey reads seem to be largely behavior based with minor POE, as austin earth and GP were really only lock towns, technically pie and whiteflame were just as likely to be scum as casey. 

Yeah I am realizing how powerful that role is, my thoughts on balance with it was that if GP chose that role and it was revealed at any point, mafia at the very least would know they would never have to worry about another protection role cucking them, and I figured it would help even out the killing role (killing roles in general are hard to balance in a nine player game, so if you factor a misvig which is way more likely statistically, it could really bone town). While in this instance it ended up really boning scum, I think if the savant roleblock hadn't basically guaranteed vader was scum, it was just as likely earth would have mis vigged and it would have balanced itself out a little better, especially given that he would have been missing a vote which forces mylo earlier if earth was left alive. But at the very least it causes for a lot of swing potential, and since every category is guaranteed a role, I knew from the get go this game would be swingy no matter what.

Well I did warn you all the balance would be wonky. Mafia had two counters for investigative role, so the ninja was kind of wasted. Town honestly did have some very strong roles but most of them were one shot, and even earths day vig had huge backfire potential, as well as helping mafia during lylo. The roleblock was the towns saving grace here, good call from savant on that. Absent of that, I think mafia was able to pull plenty of mislynches, and vader would have probably been safe.

Also mafia didn't do that horribly, you do have to consider they technically got two mislynches, a third in most games would have won it for them, but circumstances and balance were pretty interesting this game, so yeah town did seem a bit OP based on choices made. 

GG's all sorry for the fast game, hope you had some semblance of fun. I'll do a more balanced based set up for my next game.
