okay so catching up, it seems like mharman has results that contradict what wylted is saying he used his role on. I will wait until wylted responds because I know wylted like to gambit as town sometimes, though honestly even if he was doing some kind of gambit I don't really see the point of it, and it seems more likely he is just lying and scum. No reason for mharman to lie here either.
Also I still need to catch up on dp1, though I am not sure how much is relevant. Sorry for my inactivity, my sleep schedule has been out of whack. i

Agreed. I have to clue how to play a game like this and wouldn't have signed up if I knew it would be like this. I know he said it was bastard, but I thought maybe just some whack role balancing. Theres already two flipped JOATS with OP abilities, and I am a third one. It;s a little too crazy because I am seeing so much sh1t that counters each other, and makes roles feel a bit pointless.

We have plenty of time obviously, but once we get closer to days end, I might suggest a lynch on whiteflame, as I am pretty sure he is town. He could have steered the lynch in his favor last day phase but chose not to, which highly suggests he is not a mime.

Pie is confirmed not jester. I have a 1x ability to turn a suspected jester into a town player. I used it on pie since he had the gun last night. He could still be a mime, in which case my role just wouldn't have worked.

The point, as far as I'm aware, is to shoot Mimes and the Jester to reduce the chances of a mislynch that ends the game. Shooting town reduces lynch options for future DPs.

According to the OP, the aim is to ensure that we do not lynch either of the Mimes or the Jester. That leaves 8 people (6 town and 2 TPs) that are fair game to lynch, since Mharman listed the TPs as "safe mislynches". Based on GPs posts in this DP, we suspect that he's one of those TPs (since he claimed he can joint win with a nonexistent scum, it suggests a promiscuous wincon, which is apparently only true of the TPs). There's a non-zero chance that he's a Mime or the Jester and this is just his way of drawing the lynch, but like Casey, I see it as more likely that he gave away that he is a TP based on how he phrased it.
I think we are discrediting the bolded to easily. I know greyparrot likes to cause chaos or can be accused of laziness, but I never thought of him as an idiot.
I don't have a good idea on that one. My only decently strong townread is Casey. I have slight townleans on you, Owen and WyIted. If I'm correct about GP, he's one of the TPs. I'd say Pie is either a TP or town. So I think the Jester and at least one Mime are flying under the radar, could be Skipper, Earth, JoeBob or Banana.

That being said, I don't understand why multiple people would try and pretend to be the Jester. What's the point? If you stand out as a likely clown, you're likely to get NK'ed by Town. Town wants to lynch themselves and 3Ps and shoot the clowns at night.

So, are we all going to collectively ignore post #37 from GP? He says getting someone lynched is part of his wincon, then says "well I am guessing I can win with your scum team." So, he basically openly says he is third party. The only reason I think he would do that is if he genuinely was confused and thought there was a scum team, or he was just pretending because he is a clown. Either way, he's clearly not town. Like, am I missing something here? Why would he say that he needs to lynch somebody if he is town, and why did he not deny being 3P?
If there isa jester they will try to be lynched, I imagine a lot of people will try to pretend they are jester

GG's, not much to say, balance was way different then I expected. Earth mixed it up wildly from his last two games, I think we would have ended up with mislynches no matter who it was. Will have to take a better critical eye to earth games in the future. Went from 3 vanillas a game to 0 vanillas lol

By the way, do you create the theme and character roles yourself? Is there a structure you follow?
As a mod you can more or less do anything you want with theme design and roles. As you play and get more familiar with common roles, you can figure out ways to adapt those roles to characters in whatever theme you want. Generally players expect a decent balance in game so one side or the other isn't too Overpowered, but you will get a sense for that the more you play and get used to the game.
