I think I played in 2015 at latest and lunatic was considered an experienced player when I started. I think barney may have also started prior to 2015. I don't know when pie started. It's possible he is, but given what I think his age is, I somewhat doubt it.
I played in the very first mafia games on DDO. LogicalMaster introduced the concept, in 2008/2009 somewhere around there. Doesn't make me good or the best at the game, but definitely the most experienced player here.

At least all my town reads were correct lol. Had joebob and earth in the Poe. Earths was more just blatant activity but I did mention joebobs reads list sounded almost like he didn’t catch up and got cliff notes from a scum buddy. I wanted to press him on that. I actually wrote up a post on my phone to interrogate him but I was on a road trip and lost service before I could post it and never got around to interrogating him for it again when I had service again later

I don’t know what more to say than what I’ve already said in Austin’s defense. I don’t see Austin making this play as scum because he is very calculated as scum and completely flew under the radar and obliterated town with really good fake claims in the two games I played with him where he was scum. I think town Austin is more likely to do what he did because of genuine worry of being copped. I 100% buy that mafia have a counter to cop, so until someone can find me a copious amount of pie games where mafia doesn’t have a counter to cop, I have no reason to believe scum Austin doesn’t just fake claim literally anything else if he is scum here and roleblock savant into oblivion, or lawyer or godfather up or whatever

I mean there is a chance earth is town here too, it’s not an either or situation with him and Austin. But Austin is at least trying to defend himself. Earth has been under pressure for over 24 hours and has done nothing to indicate he cares about his wagon or defending himself, or trying to lynch correctly or move the game forward or generally do anything town should be trying to do if they want to win.

He has been though, after knowing he was in the POE for not contributing. And his response to that was to claim one of the most commonly scum claimed roles in existence, then disappear. No case for his innocence whatsoever. On the other hand no one ever claims miller anymore because in games pie exists in he just hard tunnels them to death regardless of affiliation. Miller is one of the scariest roles to claim. Austin who is on a win streak as scum and notorious for being super undercover and not scum read in both recent wins, randomly decides to claim the role that dart users tend to mislynch the most.
It doesn’t make sense to me.

Do you don’t think mafia has a counter to a cop in a pie game? Do me a favor and research some pie games. Find me one where he doesn’t have a counter to a cop or other major town role in it. The fact that you are pointing out that it doesn’t make sense for Austin to do this is exactly my point.

Earth seemed like a good target when everyone was town reading Austin. POE has been blown apart, and Austin admits he screwed up, so this wagon is going to be the only one I feel comfortable with. Also idk how I feel about Luna telling me "what he would do as scum" because that could just be a WIFOM gambit. It's only useful for other people to say what he would do as scum. For now, Austin is our best option.
You are using wifom to scum read Austin. Which is fine, but if you pick and choose which wifom to believe based on what feeds your beliefs better your just resorting to confirmation bias.

Whiteflame actually said the same thing I did as far as if Austin is town. He also laid out an option for him being scum and seemed to weigh more heavily on that. I don’t entirely blame him for that read, but I am investing more into the town side because Austin just is way too good as scum to make a play like that. It’s more likely he’s town and being honest. Look at the last two scum games Austin won (mahabaratta and pies previous game) Austin was so calculated in those games. He went with super good claims both games and was mostly under the radar the entire time. Now he comes out and claims miller as scum when he could more than likely just counter you if he was scum. It makes more sense that he is legit worried that you tunnel vision him for your night action and is generally scared of being caught out. And it would look way scummier of him if he was copped guilty dp2 and claimed miller.
I agree he should have claimed it earlier but motivation wise it doesn’t make sense for him to make this play as mafia.

I’m like 2 pages behind but I am like 90% sure Austin is town. If he’s only being pushed for the miller claim then you should reconsider your vote. I know it seems like I’ve been buddying him the whole phase; but consider the circumstances in which he claimed. He knew this wouldn’t look good for him, and I actually buy the soft claim because I thought him lecturing Casey about his claim so extensively felt a bit wierd so with the added context it makes more sense.
Town Austin doesn’t claim miller here, and it makes sense being worried about savant. Pies mafia usually has a counter to most town roles, I imagine if he was scum he would claim anything else and just roleblock or use some other role to prevent savant. No way mafia doesn’t have a counter to cop. No, Austin is probably not scum. He just doesn’t make this play as scum. Still catching up.
