I also don't really think that claiming a game early is alignment indicative at all. Since no particular game is inherently superior in terms of fakeclaims for scum (since they don't know our town roles yet), then I don't actually see a motivation for them to fakeclaim a different game.
The only way someone who claimed early could be scum, is if they gambled on a 15% chance dice roll and happened to be correct. Which isn't entirely impossible, but very risky, and very unlikely.

Yeah I checked Pie's games and I don't really think a massclaim will benefit us much here, he's always included some sort of roleblocker role or something. I think it's best just to leave claims here.
How does locking someone into a game claim hurt town? It only forces mafia into claiming from a subset of roles, and town wouldn't have to fake claim there's anyway.

I’m not convinced we get the same benefit as that game, and I do think it offers scum more safe claims if they can just feign ignorance (or simply be absent) at the start of the DO, but fine, at least it’s somewhere to start.
Luckily this isn't the case, all three of the people I was worried about doing this have claimed. It's much less likely that joebob, moozer, casey etc are going to be able to pull off an effective fake claim based on lack of experience though, so I am mostly okay them coming in late. They will be found out by POE easier if scum.

I understand how it makes the initial claimers look. What I’m worried about is that it’ll be hard to tell if the later ones are sus, or just late to the party.
This won't be our only scum hunting tool. We need to take all factors into account, but savant is right, it does look best on the early claimers. Statistically speaking, and using the information we got from pie.

Statistically, mafia have a 15.385% chance of asking pie correctly about the game. Those odds change the more claims we get obviously, which is why I was wanting claims from that group specifically.

Alright, sincerely, why the fuck is everyone pushing for claims this early, especially given this from Pie:“To be somewhat fair to mafia, I have given them the opportunity to try to guess games that I have not taken characters/roles from. They will have two such opportunities to ask this question at any point, and I will truthfully answer each time.”You are literally feeding scum information that will make it harder to track them down later. If you want claims, do it in a way that doesn’t make this super easy for scum to game.
Whiteflame, we are asking for GAME claims only. This shouldn't indicate a players role in the slightest and locks players into claims early. We found out how broken this mechanic was when pie forced it in the last game remember? Scum has two ask two questions about games that exists, the likelihood they ask one of the three games is super small. That's why Im hounding this point early.

Blows my mind pie has only hosted twelve games btw. Thought there would be more than that. But yeah pie has basically confirmed that there is only one game per person in the OP "Each of you is a character/role from one of the games I have hosted. Each player is from their own game, meaning that there is no player with a character/role from 3 games (I have hosted a total of 12 games)."
Mafia does have a chance to ask about which games aren't CC'able. We should be watching to see whose online out of that group of people I mentioned and who is stalling to enter the day phase.

Let's get people like whiteflame, austin, wylted to go before the newer players this time. I think the newbies are usually all to willing to claim and its usually the vets that would hold off on claiming as long as possible. I wanna do it this way because I can see those players trying to wait as long as possible to avoid being game CC'ed. Chances of that happening are low anyway, but either way were forcing them into a subset of CC'able roles which severely limits fake claim options.

Two third parties is pretty scumsided lol. Even if they don't explicitly side with scum they still distract town from it's main wincon (Moozer is a condemner, Savant is a pseudo-one since he needs to lynch someone to save them).
I don't know if it's scum sided because mafia was convinced savant was town the whole time, and he even blocked a night kill lol. But yeah it was suppose to add a lil bit of chaos. Minus that dynamic I figure mafia might have got steamrolled a bit based on pies strategy of locking people into a game thing. That was actually a mechanic that severely hurt the mafia in this game, where they should have had millions of fake claims, that simple tool forced them into a subset of more CC'able claims early on.
Also Luna you're a troll for putting Ninja in with Tracker and Motion Detector lol. Seer is an interesting role for sure but very swingy.
Idk about that being troll either, I think mafia should have a counter to every town power role. They specifically had to sacrifice their role cop two night phases in a row just to mess with the tracker too lol. The only thing they didnt have a counter to was joebob, and the doctor, but I figured not having a counter to the doctor was okay in this siutation since the doctor was more likely to act in self interest rather than in towns interest. Which ended up being the case.
Sorry for being inactive DP1 although I'm still mildly annoyed that you guys think I would coast like this as scum, I have a pretty wide range in terms of playstyle but I never lurk as either alignment without RL circumstances.
That was wierd to me that you got lynched. I get lynching inactives. but yeah your not known for being inactive. It worries me because I can see this type of thing happening to me with my schedule. I wouldn't have opted to lynch you in this game if I was a town player in it rather than the host. Seemed like way to easy of a mislynch oppertunity. No one questioned it either which was weird.

The only advise I think I would give to town, and it was stated by someone earlier in the game, we are giving way too much credit to "confirmation roles" these days on DART. I've been guilty of this too. But its how austin and savant won in mahabarata as well. I almost wanted to do this game and randomize roles affiliations so town roles could be maf and vice versa to help push the narrative that behavior should be taken into account with results. Because that was really caseys only major doubt this game, was his night actions. And barney kind of got thunderdomed by joebob because his role technically wasn't confirmable pre-death, so that was a basic free mislynch for mafia when town was already up after mafia had a night kill blocked.

All in all a GG. I think my only major mistake was going along with the plan to VTNL instead of pushing for a lynch. I was very confident the scum were WF and Moozer, but I actually sussed Moozer more. Oh, well. As I said, GG.
Well technically moozer was scum too, so if your only sin this game was suspecting another scum, you did well lol.

You know I am a little confused by that, now that I am re reading the role, I am not sure. I assumed that your protection applied to night and day, but your role does say ", if you successfully protect someone in the night this protection extends into the day".

Endgame Thoughts:
So obviously mafia did amazing! That said, they did have a lot of challenges in this game. First off, I didn’t realize how OP the strategy of forcing people into claiming games would be in dp1. In hindsight, it seems an obvious strategy, but it really forced earth and whiteflame into a subset of roles that were very easily potentially counter claimable, instead of a theme that should have granted them TONS of options to claim. So props to pie for forcing that.
First major twist is pie’s role. He was actually a seer, and he was my role from drafterman’s paranoia game. The only reason this role would have worked in this game, is because drafterman never posted an endgame thread with roles and mechanics in that game, and my role’s full function was never really fully described in the endgame thread, so only I and drafterman had evidence of that actual role’s existence outside of just contextual evidence. Otherwise this role would be impossible to use, because upon mafia losing, they could just look the role up, and see that it would flip vanilla and know that it was pie.
On that note, pie played the role very well, way better than I did. Even mafia had props for pie in the discord, and they were sure he was a major power role (specifically cop or doctor). Pie did a great job of getting information to work itself out so that scum were in POE, without ever making it looked forced or based on behavioral reasons. If pie had survived, I think this game would have turned out differently, and whiteflame and earth were smart to kill him early.
The last twist was that there was two third parties. Both ended up winning. Nice job!!!!
