Lol, it's very easy to justify a reason that benefits the agenda of the voter, if one is smart enough that is.
The same argument could be broadly applied to any voter, even outside this tournament. People could vote for the side they agree with more. We should keep an eye out for these type of votes and report them. You could technically argue that almost any vote anyone places is bias or meets an agenda.

Are we literally allowed to vote on each other's debates? I can imagine a lot of corruption involved if that's the case.
Me and Max talked about this and decided not to put restrictions on voting with how few active voters there are on the site. We will leave it to moderation to clean up votes that are poorly explained or demonstrate a lack of actually having read the debate. I am a firm advocate of reporting bad votes, so if you see a vote you think is questionable. report it, and you can tell me and I will report it too and do my best to explain to the vote mods why it is a bad vote if I agree it seems corrupt.

I was like that before I joined the military. They got a mindset distilled in me that makes me feel like a POS for not showing up to something sh1tty lol. It serves well in life for most things, being on time, having a clean space, etc, but maybe not in the scenario of quitting bad jobs lol

I suppose I can see your point with the "Acceptance round" not being neccesary, since the debates here allow you to set up definitions and terms as a precursor to accepting the debate (thus establishing the acceptance round).
I am okay with bypassing an acceptance round if both debaters agree to it then in that case. For future tournaments we will probably just do away with that altogether. I am hoping in the mean time that debaters will submit arguments quickly and not spend a whole 3 days stalling the acceptance round.

Long story short, I have worked at a place that has made me miserable for years. I've had family members and friends telling me to quit and look for something new for years, and I never did because I felt like there was nothing I could get that paid better, and I was afraid of change. Well after like 4 months of stress and overtime, and literally everyone else at my job quitting, I finally put in some applications. First of all holy hell all here a ton of jobs right now, and suprisingly many were paying more for much less responsibility and require less overtime. I did get a new job, and its way better. I am now getting a 5 dollar pay raise for like 1 third of the stress and work. Tonight is my last night of my old job, and it feels awesome knowing after today I won't have to come to a place the makes me miserable lol.
So moral of the story is, don't let yourself get stuck doing something you hate. Don't be afraid of change. If your unhappy because of your job, make the move. Especially now, the job industry seems to be booming, at least where I live.

Welcome to Ozark Mafia! Usually I am more open about my mechanics, but for this game I will stay pretty tight lipped. There is a non-complex theme split and that's about the only information I will publicly reveal about this game. I won't answer questions about other setup things, like whether mafia were given fake claims, etc. I hope this game is balanced, I kind of threw it together over two nights so don't judge me too harshly if it falls flat. My vote counts usually obtain random qoutes from whatever theme I am using, don't look into them, they aren't hints or anything, just fun theme spirit stuff.
