I see your point, though I don't fully agree with you here. Think I would have been against the massclaim if I was town as well, but maybe that's just me being stubborn.
I think it's the idea more than the practice. I get it. But we need as town to get out of the habit of requiring so many claims dp1.

And yes, I would say that if Earth hadn't claimed truthfully (as both you and I were very clear he shouldn't), things might have worked out better, though I get the impression that any alternate claim (there weren't exactly a plethora of good choices) would have led to a wagon on him that would have either resulted in his being lynched or eventually claiming Nurse Joy defensively. Even assuming that he somehow flew under town's radar, Pie and I would almost definitely have singled him out.
You being able to single people out based on claims is the whole point though, because the idea is that by giving you 3-4 claims you can already start doing that more effectively. So the idea with the mass claim is to give town POE to work with as well, and it did. I wouldn't have tried to lead a lynch on pie otherwise.Also as I said pie I don't think a mass claim is right for every game, but I am going to start pushing ones in every game that town stupidly decides to start giving free claims in the beginning, as it was ultra helpful for scum hunting in this game. If town is going to freely help mafia anyways, we might as well try to even the playing field by giving POE to town as well.

Yeah, you copping me guilty would have ended this a lot sooner. In that sense, it could have worked out very well if others had similarly found the claim to be sus, so I'm not discounting the value of the massclaim entirely, just pointing out that within the context of this game and how it played out, it probably ended up doing more harm than good.
How did it do more harm then good? Supa was rendered useless because of the leb lynch, and earth was never supposed to claim his character truthfully, he just decided not to read the day phase lol

The massclaim is what should have won the game for town. That was like most of the reason pie was lynched was because of his claim. And I had whiteflame as my cop target np1 based on his claim. I would have died np1 anyway most likely, so me getting killed as cop didn't matter. Especially when I was getting a 1 for 1 by revealing pie. Massclaim helped town out a lot here. There was some retarded lynches though, like the lebronski lynch.
Also oro was right in his analysis about why disc should have been pretty town lock. The fact that no one was even talking about bus theory makes it absurd that he was even a lynch option at Mylo. Earth's play was down bad there.
Good job to whiteflame for staying under the radar though. I think POE that stemmed from the early mass claim worked against you unfortunately UT your claims were decent otherwise.

Since the other game is still going for some reason, and looks like will probably last at least another 24 hours or so,I don't see why we can't go ahead and start so everyone who is dead in the other game doesn't have to wait an absurdly long time for no reason.
Standard rules apply. I won't answer questions that contain hypotheticals about how a role would or could work. I will gladly answer questions in your own role pm about your own role though. Theme split isn't a major aspect of this. There is a theme split, and i'll leave it up to you if you want to figure it out. While I don't think it is neccesarily a tough one, it is kind of abstract.
As I said in the sign ups this is a simple 2 v 7 game, no third parties included. Mafia were not given fake claims. Good luck and have fun!

This will be a 9 player game. The game is specifically designed around that player count, so I cannot adapt for more or less. So hopefully this fills up.
2 mafia vs 7 town. No fake claims will be given as this is a broad theme with thousands of fake claim options. There will be a theme split, mafia will be unaware of that split. I think it's a relatively easy theme split, not overly complicated.

As someone whose old DDO account "TUF" was literally made in honor of the show, I'd say I am a pretty big fan of it. There was no cooler feeling then watching Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar throw hands in the season 1 finale. I don't know about you guys, but I feel like the UFC as an organization doesn't put a big enough spotlight on the show. Edson Barboza is a great fighter, but tbh I am not watching the fights tonight for him. I am going to watch it because I saw Ricky Turcios, Brady Hiestand, Bryan Battle, and Tresean Gore battle their asses off over the last couple months on TUF season 29. I feel like I've seen very little advertising or hype over this event though, and I feel like the UFC misses out big time by not promoting the TUF finale's like they used to. Which feels wierd to me, considering how many UFC champs have come from being contestants on the show, hell Kamaru Usman was a TUF fighter. I had no idea Tresean Gore wasn't going to be fighting this weekend, for eample until I google'd it last week. I have all the MMA news apps, and none of them headlined his knee injury. That's literally insane, because there wasn't a fight I wanted to see more than Bryan Battle and Tresean Gore. Like WTF UFC?!
Why put all that time, money and effort into the show just to put like 0 effort into advertising your TUF finale's? Not to sound like a boomer, but "Back in my day" TUF finales got just as much hype as the major UFC events. Hell, they were major UFC events. I have friends who are barely aware or interested in TUF anymore. I feel like that's a culmination of the show just not being a major focus of the UFC's marketing team, and I don't actually know why they are letting something that could be a big cash cow go to waste like that.
That said, I am excited to see the fights this weekend.
My prediction is Battle wins Gurbina, Turcios wins Hiestand based on the fights on the show. Actually really happy to see Gillmore fight Petroski, since both lost to submissions on the show and didn't get to showcase their skills. Also Gillmore seems excited to be there, and given how easily he dropped everything to be a replacement on the show he definitely deserves this. I am sure that's why Dana put him on the card. I don't really have a prediction for this fight, but am interested nonetheless.
No money really to be made from this card unfortunately, so probably won't be betting. The guys I think are likely to win are already vegas favorites lol.

I never soft claimed officer Jenny. When whiteflame mentioned Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy I said both of them should fake claim, and that's about it. I fake claimed. He is the ultimate finale villain to the series. I used to word villain loosely, as MewTwo was basically just the X-Men's version of Magneto. Fighting for pokemon's indepence from slavery against the "evil" humans, until Ash shows them that human and pokemon share an actual bond and it isn't just a stockholm syndrom type of thing. Charizard is one of Ash's main pokemon sure. But the reason I claimed Pikachu in the first place was partially as a test to see if there were any other pokemon, as well as because I wanted a cover up for cop. But if there are multiple pokemon in the game, pikachu is 10x's more likely to exist in it then Charizard. Charizard is less of a character in the first season then squirtle and bulbasaur combined... He's also a very well known pokemon for people who are vaguely familiar with pokemon because he is a fan favorite, which makes him the optimal fake claim for someone like pie without a deep knowledge of the pokemon universe.

I am actually kind of saying the opposite about him; Pie usually makes a stink about claiming.
