People are leaving New York and the Blue States around it. Illinois is drowning in debt. California continues to thrive because of the variety of goods they produce due to geographic location and size, but if they keep going the way of Illinois and New York, they will also go down the toilet.

However. I find the cause to be utter BS, as it is all based off of anecdotal evidence, where even then, not all supposed cases are actual examples of police brutality. There are still cases of police brutality, but statistically they are unlikely and officers who are willing to brutalize a suspect are also rare. Consider that there were 4 officers in the George Floyd case out of 800 (0.5%) full time officers in Minneapolis. Consider that this is the first major incident in a long time in Minneapolis. Consider that out of about 53,500,000 people involved in an incident with the police in 2015, only 965 resulted in fatal shootings, and not all of those were brutality.

Blocking should only be reserved for those who follow you from thread to thread to harass you. It should not be used over a religious and/or political disagreement.

Not sure why I am tagged, but I do like Mario Kart, so I'll give my opinion.

Mario Kart should start with the stats and then design the Kart around those stats. Want a fast Kart with poor handling? Make a bullet bill shaped kart. The reason why each stat set needs a new kart is so that people can tell what their opponents' game plan is and vice versa. It removes the guesswork so that players can better formulate a plan to deal with their opponents. I do think different skins for different karts would be cool though. Imagine the bullet bill kart from earlier. You could have the default bullet bill skin, you could have a homing bullet bill skin, a cat bullet bill skin, a banzai bullet bill skin, or a golden bullet bill skin. They'd all be bullet bills, so you could tell if an opponent wants to go fast but has poor handling you can take advantage of, but people can still make their karts look cool.

1. Yes. I think it's an improvement.

While insulting someone is obviously wrong, it's not the mods' jobs to police it. Instead, I think it is the community's job to rebuke the offending members. Trolling really depends on the intention of the troll. I don't mind friendly ribbing or just messing with someone, but when someone has malicious intent, it is once again the community's job to rebuke the offending members. If they aren't listening to the rebuke, then ignore them. They revel in getting people riled up, so don't give them that power. If it becomes spam, then there is reason for the mods to step in.

Streamlining and codifying it is excellent, as any rules or laws should always be easy to understand.

I don't see much protection of children, but I do see an age requirement to make an account, which is definitely a good thing. I don't think Little Timmy should be on this site.

I'm a little concerned about the "no moderator harassment" rule because it all depends on what they define as harassment, but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt when they say they'll have thick skin. Mods, please do not betray this trust I have in you.

2. Yes2. Sharing PMs may be needed to establish what happened in say, a mafia game when someone C/P's their role and character to another player and the game host needs proof of the occurrence. However, private conversations should stay private in most cases. I am going to hope the mods understand that PM sharing must only happen when necessary, and that they must approve when it is necessary.

3. No. Expanding S&G would give it equal to or more power than the actual arguments being presented. Even casual debates must be argument-oriented.

4. Yes. A reason means that people can't just report a random post they don't like and hope the mods find a reason to remove it. They have to at least come up with their own reason on why it should be removed. In addition, it makes it very clear to the mods what they're dealing with.

Honestly this is typical Wylted play. Some amazing risk is taken, he claims a power role in order to get someone lynched that he reads as scum but doesn’t want to have to fight to get said person lynched, yada yada yada he might be right, he might be wrong, who knows? Because of this Wylted is probably town as of now (I believe he did this in one of my games and somehow caught scum), but it has no bearing whatsoever on Warren’s affiliation.

I can't say I was enthusiastic about any of these teams. However, I went with Jets simply because they were a larger overall dumpster fire. But trust me on this: none of the others were far behind. They've all put themselves in awful positions.

I'd also like to ask why you think the Jets are 2-seed. Do you think they are #2 in the NFL, AFC, or AFC East?

I just see it as a win for the Texans that they still have almost everyone else.

I’ve been playing two games... Pokemon Shield (currently prepping for an official online tournament) and Terraria (ranger playthrough).

To be clear, I do understand there is a point when it becomes spam, but I haven’t seen any banned users making alts and spamming with them; they typically just a couple threads. I would say ban the users, don’t delete the threads, but announce in the thread that the OP is an alt.

So we can’t even see the nature of the alt account’s offenses? I think it’s it is a valid idea for the public to know exactly what banned users were doing with their alts.

I’ll admit I fell behind on this. However, coronavirus gives me time to catch up... so this edition will be about how teams finished their season before it got cancelled.

Five losses to end the season, including losses to the Knicks and Kings.

They were the first NBA team eliminated from postseason contention... after being Western Conference Champions last year.

One year after being national runner-ups, they were eliminated from March Madness contention after losing in the ACC tournament to a mediocre team.

As much as I wanted them to beat the Wildcats (because Josh Johnson is cancer), they didn’t. They lost and became the team with the worst record.

The season has barely started, but they were showing early signs of lolcowdom in their first season ever.

At least the Warriors has some wins during their last week. The Vipers made their loss close. Most of the Pistons’ losses were not. Notre Dame has a decent amount of wins in their record. Nashville is a new team.

For those reasons, I say: Congratulations, Pistons! You are the second Lolcow of the Week! 🎉 😂 🐄
