@Melcharaz
I said in the other thread i have a serious reason not to believe your religion. Since you also commented here, i'll bring it up here.The bible says what the heavens is. Psalms 8:3
How do you explain that i think "heaven/paradise" as described by most Christian's and the Bible would be hell? This isn't a joke, i'm serious. I think paradise as described by the Bible would be hell. This doesn't mean you do, or anyone else does... i personally define paradise way, way... different than what the Bible gives. Why is that?

If i prophecied you would be struck by a semi truck 3 days from now, are you willing to accept that prophecy is not irrelevant?or if i prophecied that a friend of yours would recieve 33.000$ in 2 days and it happened, would you give credience that there is a God who knows all things?Ive found people say things are irrelevant when it doesn't apply to them. could you imagine having a prophecy of God telling you what will come to pass in your life?
I'm going to jump in here. Would you accept that i have had prophecies? Several where i've predicted outcomes in my life perfectly... so much so i thought i was psychic. Now, i have had more than just prophecies as experiences. I have also had experiences that seemingly break the laws we are aware of that this world should be following... All in all, i've had more than a dozen, maybe two... i've lost count... spiritual experiences spanning my life to present day. I almost want to write a book... i've recently been contemplating that.
But here is the kicker. I don't believe in Christianity or any of the major religions. There of course are some philosophies and some religion/beliefs that correlate to my belief... but not exactly. Another minor spiritual experience is that as soon as i was old enough to think (or remember) 4/5 years old... i have always known my spiritual belief... before i even heard of religion or spirituality. Religion stole me away from my belief for a short while... but my experiences worked out perfectly to bring me back to what i knew as a child. My experiences have basically, to present, proved that i am right about my belief.
So, how do you answer that? I also have a very specific reason i don't believe what you do. But i'll bring that up later if you decide to discuss this. Right now i want to know: Why should i believe what you do when i have proof... as much as you can have in this life, that i'm right?

tell me that's not true!?!?!?!
This site spells it out. Legally, i was wrong. But i work with a really good criminal lawyer, so i think i heard the warning shot thing from him... or a lawyer during my schooling. The reason being Cali is pretty shitty... and a large portion are liberal which means... zero knowledge about guns. I'm pretty sure the lawyer said the warning shot thing is good to do bc it almost seals your case if the person didn't run and still came at you. It's much easier then to prove that i truly didn't want to harm the person. So, yes... we have the Castle Doctrine... but still, it's Cali...
that's actually pretty brilliant imo, when you consider the notoriety these sickos get and even some of the media etc say they shouldn't get the coverage that they do, it's like they are being glorified so the next sicko wants to be #1. these twisted minds need to know if they do something like that no one will ever know their names or remember them, it couldn't hurt after all.
Of course... and thanks for the compliment. I don't think this is a case of correlation doesn't equal causation. It's clear the uptick in mass shootings started around the time social media, and news media started to really reach a lot of people. There is another analogy i use to describe this. If you play video games... you eventually get bored of it, or you want to understand how someone better than you is beating you. So, what do you do? You go onto Youtube and watch the professionals. What happens when you do? Not only do you really want to play the game again (a revived drive bc it looks badass watching a pro), but you also learn what the pro's do. It's the same thing i think in the case of mass shootings. These people are seeing the pro's, their thoughts of doing it get a kick of revive and extra drive to do it... so, the sickest ones that can't control themselves... they do it. It's really simple. This analogy works in many other things... watching basketball makes you want to play basketball, watching golf makes you want to golf... it's just how it works... So basically, i truly think media is to blame for the uptick. Of course there are other levels of problems... but i think the drive to do it comes from the excitement of seeing someone else. Imagine the excitement they got from watching the Vegas shooter... it's actually pretty scary what's going through these people's heads... they gonna wanna one up. And that's scary.

You're wrong... there is plenty of personal evidence. It just doesn't happen to you, and you don't want to listen to others. You are the definition of who you are. I honestly could care less... or, waste my time trying to convince you of something you've already made your mind up on. I personally don't think personal evidence is frivolous... you do, so cool. All i can say is listen to those that are for real... they are hard to find, but they're there. Obviously, even personal experience is muddied by greedy people trying to make money... and there are a lot more of them than the latter.You set a very low bar since no such evidence exists.

Actually on a serious note the mind is just a tool, a mechanical library/storage area it really has no being to it other than storing information and memory. If you want to shut off the mind simply stop thinking or chasing thoughts, this of course is harder than just saying it.
I hear ya. For me it's just hard to turn it off sometimes. It depends how much was on my mind, and how many conversations i was analyzing... if i go into meditation on a busy mind day like that... it's extra hard to turn it off. I tend to meditate when there isn't much going on in regards to my outside life. Sometimes this site has an effect too if i'm thinking of a conversation. I'm practicing to shut it off on my most busy mind days, i haven't gotten it down, but i'm trying. It randomly happens sometimes. I've found meditating in complete darkness is the key for me. It's just hard to get that time without any external distractions. But i had my place to myself just recently... it was complete darkness in the house. Probably would have scared the shit out of anyone that came in... i was in the middle of the house in complete darkness lol But hey it worked.
Another thing we have in common of course. Man I miss his father though, two people I would love see finish their course here. Bruce Lee was always one of my favorite people as well as his son Brandon.
Yeah his dad had an influence on my childhood in regards to interest in fighting, but Brandon... that a different level. It's almost spiritual that was his last movie not to water down that character... bc i know it isn't only me that's touched by that movie. I'm just glad i watched it before some people said i look like him... bc it's perfect i didn't have any expectations going into that movie. It was cool tho after of course. But man... that movie, it's beautiful. I still haven't seen a movie that left me in suspense, action, sadness, crying my eyes out, getting angry, then feeling like god. It's just a piece of art.

For me it wouldn't be a crane but i would def. sport a black cat or raven lol. And, he knew the Crow is my favorite movie... it's why i grew my hair long in the first place. Plus, if you watch the Character Vicious' attitude... that's my dark side. He knew what's up... it was actually pretty brilliant thought out by him.It looks like a version of the crow... perhaps the Crane lol.

I wish i could tell you. Meditation some times helps, but that's when my mind just wants to turn off. Most the time i meditate i can't get into it bc my minds just on. Maybe i should go to some guru or something that's figured it out... but, i don't think it's possible. It's just who we are. Here, this intro says it best... the line is actually pretty brilliant.Now you're preachin to the choir mon! where's the off button on the think tank? seriously though, I analyze everything....it's like auto pilot or somethin.

Well yeah... but these people also aren't very smart, or just delusional. So, if the news keeps saying AR rifles was used to cause devastating damage.. that's all they remember. It's like a check list for them... AR = lost's of damage, got it buy an AR. Then, it's next. I imagine they think much more about how they are going kill vs. thinking about the weapon. This might not apply to all, but i think it would apply to the majority. And why kill so many people? Some humans are sick is def. one reason. Other reasons can be many... but i truly believe they also want to become famous in this sick way. In the end of the day, the more we talk about it... the more people will do it. It's like hearing a new song from a genre you never thought of. If you love it, you want more. Some people love fear, some people love chaos... and when they see the fear and chaos on the news.. i think it kinda turns them on.

Well... you better wish this doesn't happen. If mass shooters realized a 308 (and higher) hunting rifles load just as easily as an AR, have same type of magazines on some, and extend clips for some... exist. You will see hell where ever they shot up. Man... a shotgun and 357 mag combo can do more damage than an AR in packed places.What you need is hunting rifle, a plinky thing, and six pistols

- So you're not looking for the truth but what suits you?
Partially yes and partially no. What are you talking about? Everyone believes what suits them... If it was proven the Satanic Bible is the truth (to the level your confident about the Koran)... would you believe it? In the end of the day, what i am looking for... and what i have been looking for all my life as a child to now... is to find a platform that gives "everyone" their paradise. In the beginning, it wasn't even about me. It just turned out the implications favored myself as well. I didn't care about myself... i've always cared about others more. So yes and no... this platform suits me, and it also suits everyone else... including you. I will only disagree as far as you pretending like your truth is my truth as well. I will continue to point out how that is flawed, and how your god, as a defined him so far, does not get me to my truth.
- I already did, why don't me tell you why your version is correct?
I don't know if my version is correct, i just know it's more viable than your god as you are describing him to me. Some of the major points i already explained. My version gives me direction, experiences, confidence, how to live good, to then most importantly, get to what i would consider to be paradise. If your version is true... all i get is hell. If other versions are true, i'm either getting nothing or just another C-rate existence... so why would i believe in the Satanic Bible when i have a viable platform that gives me all the positives with little negatives? But again, and again, most importantly... your god only promises me hell... explain this paradox?
- Define 'god' then. God is in creator/first cause/necessary being can not be "everything".
How can any finite human truly define an infinite being? Huh? Like i told you, there are many philosophies and some eastern religions that attempt the definition of this "oneness" god. From what i have gotten from that is they all believe in a cosmic mind, infinite consciousness type of platform. Some implications that can be drawn from such a "god" is one...
It is the creator of everything bc it is all knowing, bc it is everything times infinity. If you can image a mind that is infinite just for a second... you will at least realize being everything means every person, situation, reality, everything is known by such a platform. We are the manifestations of just one reality it knows.
It is also the first cause bc it's, again, everything. There is nothing before it, and everything after it.
Necessary? In regards to it's necessary for us to be here... i don't know? This platform could have played out in many ways, for instance, we can be inside a computer that a random evolved humans created. And that is the destiny... to go deeper and deeper into simulations. In that case, the humans that started this were necessary. With that said, i think the version that makes the most sense is the it everyone (creator), it's always been (first cause), so therefore... yes, it's in a way necessary bc without it we wouldn't be here. But i am not sure how it would play out without it. But this version of it being everything answers more questions than not... so it is the most logical out of the others in this platform that "could be."

In the third case, the pajama-clad woman with a high-capacity magazine took on three armed intruders, firing at them while simultaneously calling for help on her phone.
Now that is one bad-ass women lol.
Yeah, i've never understood the magazine bans. A good enough shooter can reload their weapon in seconds or carry more than one weapon if it is a mass shooting type scenario. If pirates were able to do damage with single shot firearms... we still got it easy. The article however was a positive. I thought you are going to show me an article that bans our already 10 capacity magazines... i was about to be really triggered. Glad the Judge has some common sense. One of my home defense firearms is a revolver... 7 shot capacity, but it's also the one i practice with the most. I'm a pretty darn good shot with it... and considering i load it with 357 mag for home (i practice with both 38spc and 357 so i know the difference in shot placement), i'm pretty confident anyone hit with one shot is hitting the ground. If anything, they can only take 2... which i factor in 'if' i miss one shot... i can fend off 3 people. But then again... i always have a weapon nearby so... even if i ran out i'm fine. But i love the revolver... 6 inch barrel so it's accurate as hell.
I wanna buy a 500 mag snub nose revolver. Bc in Cali, you are suppose give some kind of warning before engaging... i don't know if that means warning shot or yelling you have a gun... but, i can't think of a better gun for a warning shot. I shoot that revolver, just one or two shots, at the range every now and then... it is like a bomb just went off. If i was a crook... i'd be like hell naw, not this house.

@Yassine
It is not whimsical. I have considered many ideas of god. I am agnostic btw... bc at this point, that is the only logical conclusion we can make absent hard evidence. However, i lean towards the spiritual side bc i do believe there is enough weak evidence to suspect there is more than just this. So at this point, all i can do is question which platforms make the most sense.this is too whimsical. The existence of God -& God Himself- is independent of your perception or feeling. You can't say I believe god is... therefore god is.
Although there are other reasons, the question i've asked throughout this isn't a frivolous question, it's an important question your religion can't answer which is why i don't believe it is a logical choice.
If i am considering which platform i favor the most, there are many traditions and philosophies that point towards this "oneness" platform that i've gone through... and, yes, in the end of the day... i used my own mind and simplified it to one thing... an infinite consciousness. The implications of which seem to be that it can manifest as a corporeal entity. if that implication alone is true, it answers most of the questions other platforms cannot, including the paradise paradox of the Abrahamic faiths. At least that's what i've noticed through debating it... no one has given me a reason not to lean towards this platform.
So, if you have something... just go at it. Simply telling me i can't "choose" this or that bc i feel like it ... one it's not true, and two you choose your religion so why can't i? But i truly don't want to get into that argument bc it's frivolous. I want you to tell me why my version of what i find to be "god" is incorrect?
The existence of God -& God Himself- is independent of your perception or feeling.
If the paradise question makes you feel uncomfortable... maybe you can tell me how you know this statement to be true... Why can't everything be "god"? Why am i wrong to pick the infinite consciousness platform?

@MrMaestro
I'd highly recommend checking it out (only 7 minutes, and it's pretty funny).
Thank you for that video... as deep as it is and the implications it gets you thinking about... it oddly made me feel really good watching it.
My uncle is a neurologist and we play golf almost every weekend. This is one of our favorite subjects to talk about. He's the expert on the mind, and i'm a 'self-proclaimed' expert on the what if questions. One thing i noted that is interesting, he agrees with all the stuff he said in the beginning down to that study that our neurons basically make the decision before we make the decision. It kinda makes you question freewill, right?
But the story always comes down to who is "you"? I'm glad he touched on that in the end of the video the way he did. He left the question open. Even talking to an expert of brains, we can hit a wall. He thinks it's all the stuff you process, your environment, how you were raised, etc. But i always kinda stump him on that. I oddly have a good memory of really early years. I can remember things i like and did when i was about 4 or 5 (some even earlier that i'm not even sure are real at this point). I remember how the first time i saw legos of the good guy ships and the pirate ships... i wanted the pirate ship. There has been a consistency throughout my life i can say is "me." Of course, i agree with him that the self changes throughout the years... but, it's that meness i find curious. I use a color analogy. Why is it i found black the be my favorite color the first time i was given that choice? Then, my life turned out that i like a lot of things that correlate with the reason i picked that color... like horror, metal, gothic stuff, haunted mansions... that was the feeling i got when i wanted to pick black. It was scary which made it beautiful to me as a kid. So, that meness is almost the objective you... it depends who you agree with though, the neurologist says it's an subjective you through experience... but he has conceded these reasons do make him question. It's a very interesting topic that i'm lucky to have with an expert on the topic.

Several of your premises are suspect (for instance the oversimplified view of causality), but this conclusion really caught my eye. The way you toss in the underlined part almost as an afterthought is striking, when nothing in the argument implies anything whatsoever about any particular theistic God. Even if someone finds this argument convincing, it in no way implies the truth of any particular religion.For example, God might exist, but be named Bob, not Allah. Or God might exist, but Mohammad was not his prophet. Or God might exist, but find our worship distasteful. Or God might exist, but there is no afterlife.In short, even if the argument is sound, it could still be the case that nearly all the Quran is untrue.
Well stated.

The "assault rifle" ban went into effect pretty recently. I think a little less than a year ago. That shooting may have contributed to the ban. It's a ridiculous ban bc you can still buy an AR... with it looks horrible with all the extra stuff you have to attach to it.
This gun shop is cool bc it tells you what you can get and not... and the ones you can't get but can get with a small change to them like single action to double action revolvers. But anyways... this is what the rifles that fall under the ban look like now.

@Analgesic.Spectre
When the average I.Q. of your race is nearly 60, as is the case with Australian Aboriginies
I don't know... if you give these people an I.Q. test they've never seen anything like it... is that truly the right way to measure their intelligence? Wouldn't their I.Q. be higher if you showed them how to solve the math problems, the mensa patterns, etc.? If they've never seen any of that, it's understandable that they won't be able to get a high result. I raised my I.Q. once i understood it. I agree, taking it to the next level is just not in me (i've gotten anywhere bw 100 to 130.. never higher) But i'm sure if someone showed me how to do the questions i don't understand i would possibly score higher... so i'm sure they can at least get to average or close if they had some schooling... maybe. I wonder if this has been tried... you might know more about that bc i am just guessing.
Edit: I should add, the one thing i've noticed with people that kill it on iq tests is how fast they see the answers. It doesn't matter if i knew how to answer all the problems, i know i can't match some people. So, i know how to do it... but i just can't bc i guess my I.Q. is capped in that regard. But, that problem arises bc i question myself a lot. Instead of seeing the question in a linear sense... i think of multiple possibilities. That's how my brain functions. And honestly, that questioning has contributed positively to my current work. So... are these I.Q. test really good? I noticed you said for some jobs you need people to think fast... sure, i won't get those jobs. But, there are jobs that require seeing all angles... they may not be good for those jobs. What i am getting at... with proper schooling and education, can't most people with low I.Q. raise their I.Q. and in the process find what they are good at? It sounds like an opportunity problem to me. With that said, i've seen some low I.Q. people that i know just won't get it. So i acknowledge there are people that are capped in their own way... but i wonder if all races wouldn't have an average rating if they just get opportunity and education.

What are talking about man? If God exists, He is certainly not contingent on your feelings of Him! What utter nonsense is this??? Indeed, we are talking about different things here. You are speaking from whims & fantasy, I'm not.
How do you know i am talking from whims & fantasy (monism, pantheism, oneness, non-duality, panpsychism, etc. etc.)? You know nothing of my true beliefs yet you can already mock them? So, what you believe is not nonsense... but what other people believe is nonsense bc you don't like what they're saying.. got it; touche. How do you know god isn't feeling everything we are feeling? How do you know god doesn't know every single one of our stories? How do you know god isn't simultaneously both our happiness and sadness? You can pick anyone of these questions... but keep ignoring the main question (simple at that)... why doesn't your Koran know my paradise? What... you get to live for your paradise but i don't? That sounds pretty selfish man. It's almost like you're looking down on me. Is that how the Koran makes you feel towards me?
- Just because you believe it is???
Umm... projection?

It's just i see a lot of hate from users that don't use the Religion forum... and i think on any site, the religion topics are always most popular. So, i don't understand why some people don't get that. It's truly an interesting forum. It's unlike all the other forums bc people are arguing something that they can't necessarily prove. It takes a lot of knowledge therefor to be able to concisely elucidate your belief when you have nothing. It's truly interesting to read that forum above all else. Philosophy and politics is cool too. But politics is just that... and philosophy is basically the religion forum trying to be humble. I personally like reading every forum... but those are always the most interesting reads. That's why you take those out of the equation... say bye bye to a large portion of users. That's why i left DDO... once it effected the religion forum, we were all out.I wuz thinkin I am funny guy but now I think otherwise

That disproves your type of god, not the god i am claiming. Your type of god is suppose to be for everyone, however, everyone is different. Everyone goes their own ways, everyone has their own god they pray to, everyone experiences their god how they are suppose to, etc. We are all subjective beings on our own journey. Only a god that is "everything" can explain this subjectivity. In such a case, no one is left out. Everyone is an imagine or a piece of the puzzle which is this god (i don't even call god anymore bc it's so much more than that term, but one can say it's appropriate).I can EASILY disprove that we are all god, for the very simple reason that we are all contingent beings
On the flip side, your god is only for you. You think you are interpreting everything correctly, and same with whoever else agrees with you... but, the religion is still flawed. If it was perfect, the middle east wouldn't look the way it looks today. Satanic music has saved more people than any major religion. But that's just one side of it that really isn't the issue here... the issue here is your god is your god. I don't hate it or think it shouldn't be your god... but your god doesn't make any sense to me. You can't explain this. Like i said in the beginning of this thread, the 'god' i believe in has given me everything. Understanding, direction, spiritual experience, and most importantly... if i live how i am suppose to, i will also get my paradise. On the flip side, the humans that wrote the Koran didn't think of people like me... this is proof your god makes no sense, to me. You are not promising me direction, etc etc... and most importantly paradise. You say i will be eternal in paradise... that is literally one of my worst nightmares... i would correlate that to hell.
How does the Koran answer that? Did the humans think that some people might think paradise is living and dying like myself, did it think of some people think it's reincarnation, did it think some people just want to be in a fairy tale? Your god is only made for you. And again, my platform answers why this is... and since my god is everything... it explains why i'm like this, why you're like how you are, and why others are how they are... That answers my question... your god doesn't. Like i said, that disproves your god to me and i haven't heard of a convincing enough argument otherwise, at least from Christians... that's why i'm genuinely interested in your take on this bc i don't know what the Koran promises... but if it's 72 virgins for eternity, or even eternity alone... i'm not kidding... i consider that to be hell. Even if the air is made out of heroin.
This question is one of my key points, there's others... but, if you can't get passed this than the others are moot. My paradise is eternally living and dying... Living and dying means i will live infinite realities as a corporeal being experiencing that reality dying and experiencing another reality (since my true self is part of an infinite consciousness 'god' that manifests as corporeal being to experience). That is literally my paradise. My platform gives me this, but your god doesn't even know people like me exist.... i wonder why.

None of your arguments prove it's the God as defined by the Koran. I think it's a pantheistic type of platform... everything is god. You can use the same attributes you gave in your argument. Except for outside of creation... that makes no sense. Although, i can concede maybe a panentheistic god... it doesn't matter really. The point would be we are all god. You can't disprove that through your arguments. But i can disprove god is only for a select few found in one religion in the corner of the earth... pshhh common man.C. Therefore, God exits. [ as defined in the Quran ]

Lol, man you guys are going down the rabbit hole. The best thing i ever heard about consciousness was on the show Legion. It's a cool show if you haven't seen it. One of the characters starts going insane (the bad guys can warp realities). She starts doubting reality and tells one of the other characters how does she know any of this is real... the girl answered, "Bc when i punch people they fall down." Love that line.Following on from the cogito, my consciousness is self-confirming. The problem is confirming there is anything else.

But as i told Snoopy, that video was 5 years old. Cali has a pretty harsh ban on the AR platform type rifles now. I wonder what effect that has on his business. Bc you can't have the rifles he was showing in the video anymore. You have to have a bunch of extra BS on it to make it CA compliant.

I was telling Dred that i live close to Oceanside so i can go to the guys store. But that video was made 5 years ago so i don't know if he's still in business after the recent "assault rifle" restrictions California has. I am assuming it is illegal to make them if they don't conform to the new laws. You have to put the clunky thing on the handle and all the other crap on the "scary" assault rifle. There is another store that is close to me, RifleGear, and they are pretty cool dudes. They made a double action revolver into a single to be able to sell it and once they sold it to me they made it back into double action. I've seen the rifles that are CA complaint and they just look horrible now... i don't think i'll be getting anymore with all the add ons to make it complaint. I actually want to buy bolt action... i'm scared those are going next.

Well, i live close to Oceanside, so maybe i'll go check out his store. He may give me the advice. It loos like they will even help you out... but i don't know. I can just go check out the store and tell him i saw him on this video.

Are there any videos that teach you step by step how to make a rifle? I want to make one.

Isn't the term "kill" kinda muddied in the Bible? Thou shall not murder is clear... which would indicate killing innocence. But, killing someone outside your tribe trying to harm you isn't clear in the Bible or is it? I'm not sure. I was under the impression even the Bible allows killing if there is a threat. Which would make it dangerous too bc who defines what a threat is. You know the Bible better so let me know if my assumptions are wrong.

The 'freelance' scientist is an extreme rarity these days
You're right. I found a scientists that had a hypothesis for a really interesting experiment. I read about it and waited. Basically, he wanted to do a test to see if consciousness has any effect on entangled particles. I read his hypothesis and it seemed really interesting how he wanted to test that. But i kept waiting and saw no update so i emailed him. He said something on the lines of he really wants to test it but he has other priorities he has to do first. Basically, he doesn't have a grant to start this study bc i'm assuming... corporations don't care. I think the results would be profound if true for humanity... but it doesn't make anyone money. I think that's such a problem with our current western world. Everyone is focused on material and never look up to see each other. It's honestly really sad to me and almost makes me hate this world.
I am not sure science and spirituality are compatible.
Well, we really don't know. I think you may be thinking more on an organized religion type route. Science and philosophy in my opinion have mostly debunked a lot of religion...which is good. We should be focusing on truths rather than trying to make false claims true. I respect and owe science for that and all of our achievements. But, we don't know what science will figure out in regards to spirituality. Like the test above, if the results are true.. i would say that is a win for spirituality. If we can figure out there are multiple universes, i'd say that's a win for spirituality. In honesty, i think the most crucial science in figuring out spirituality is quantum physics. I mean already, particles being waves when not measured, entanglement, and some others i think is a win for spirituality. Spirituality can mean many things to everyone. To me, it's simply is there a reality beyond ours that also has intelligence. One of these realities would be everything being a manifestation of an infinite consciousness. Right now, i think most of our science points to this. It could change... but can science be compatible with finding that this reality may not be the only reality... i think it might be able to. I say might bc you are also right they may never be compatible. Bc science is primarily for this reality. Figuring out our world and universe. Can it evolve to also figure out realities beyond this one, if true... i don't know. Maybe yes maybe no. Is dark matter elusive bc it comes from a different dimension? So, figuring that out will science start into that journey? Maybe... we'll just have to wait and see.

Well... in something like 95% of cases people take plea deals. He likely had a really good lawyer that got him out of this one. I didn't know he is still denying it... i sorta want to take back what i said. He likely does deserve at least jail time to scare him straight (pun? maybe). The law just works in mysteries ways man... actually, no, the law favors those with lots of money and good lawyers. It's kinda sad. I hate it more that he's making money off all this junk... so, his plan ultimately worked. It's additionally sad this world favors the psychopaths and narcissists."Well it was only his first offense" just seems like a pretty weak salve for all that. Idk, maybe this is why I'm not a litigator.

That's a really good anime. There are a couple other apocalyptic animes that are really good too. I forget their names. It depends on the person you are recommending too. There is literally a genre for everyone. I can't really recommend any bc i like the fantasy action genres so i would recommend something on the lines of Bleach or Blood+ ... I remember watching some others, one in particular was a ghost hunter one where the guy was super intelligent, i think Rational would like... but i forget the name.Alternatively, if you just want an anime that people who normally hate anime love, try Attack on Titan. It's mainstream enough.
In regards to comparing it to the west... really there is no comparison. It outright beats western animated series in my opinion just off the fact that no western animation is so in depth with genres and intricate plot lines that anime has... so blows them out of the water there. The only thing you can compare to is movies. But movies are their own thing and anime is its own thing. It's apples and oranges. The cool thing with anime is that if you like something like Harry Potter, or Zombie movies... there is likely more than a dozen or two animes that have such plots. Which i think is awesome. In the west you only have Harry Potter... in anime world you have like 20 or probable more Harry Potter type animes. That's what drew me in at least. I think it's brilliant what Anime has achieved.

My god, how can i forget Samurai Champloo... that series was the shizzel. I'm kinda like you with Death Note, but i watched it a second time and it's pretty cool. I was mad at some deaths, i won't spoil anything, but overall it was interesting.
