Proving all (other) religions wrong.

@secularmerlin
Some theist would argue that this is exactly why you will be excluded from paradise. You would agree that their claim and yours (while one may appeal to my sensibilities more) have similar levels of evidence from my perspective?
Sure, from a theist's perspective it is... but who are they to me? Why should i bow to another human? And, what's the conclusion... i believe them and go to hell? Bc that is the only option they are giving me. Which just doesn't make sense. If it turns out to be true... well, that sucks, i get hell. But believing them would do the same.

From your perspective i also understand. You are who you are. I wouldn't dare control you just as i would hope you don't control me. If you choose to say there isn't evidence... all i can do is tell you about my life and why i feel there is evidence. It's anecdotal however, bc if it wasn't... you wouldn't be who you are... you would be like me. So, all i can do is share my experiences and discuss them, which i enjoy doing. All i hope is it makes one think, not come over to my side. The only thing my belief does is empower you to be you, and if you want... imagine how powerful you can be. That is the prime reason i choose this belief... not really for myself, the implications just happened to favor me too, but i've always wanted more people to know, if they choose, they are powerful... we need more of that in society to make it better, not simple mindless followers which the ones that achieve power feed on. I've always been a person that cares more for others than myself. If you really understand my belief... you'll notice it is tailored to give everyone what they truly hope for. That was always my end game. I feel it's superior in that regard, but is it true.. i don't know. It seems more true than a belief that plays a childish game of "play my imaginary game or else i'll be sad/mad" ... that's what children do. That just seem flawed to me, clearly... but am i right? I don't know. I hope i am... bc i don't want to go to hell obviously. But imagine if i am right... than i get to do whatever i want and you get to do whatever you want... within reason of course bc we share this reality. But also, a further implications is you get to choose whatever you want your afterlife to be... i don't get to choose it for you. You may stay exactly as you are...skeptical. But at least, i'm sure you have an imagination and can think of a paradise if i am right... i'm also saying, you can have that. None of it is my choice, it's yours and everyone else's. That is the beauty of such a platform.

So... i think this is the one platform that you can say is wrong, but you are ultimately saying i'm right if you get what you want. And, the platform doesn't make any promises, guides, morals, etc for this life... so there really nothing there to say wrong to either. It's a win win platform that i think everyone should hope is right... but again, i'm not in control of anyone else. They'll do what they believe bc likely that is what's true for them. We can only lambaste what they say the rest of us should do... and in regards to it being right that they can... well, it just seems very man-made. But we can both be wrong... no one knows. But following some logic and reasoning, i think we can at least suspect it's wrong with reasonable conclusions.

@secularmerlin
Ok so how do you know all the other religions (besides yours) got things wrong?
You have to distinguish what's about this reality and what's about a person's thought of paradise or the metaphysical aspect. Whatever is about this reality we can clearly see if it's right or wrong, at least by majority standards or science. If science says we are born gay and have no choice in the matter... religion is wrong. But if religion says you shouldn't kill, then they are probably right. But once it gets into sin and your going to hell... they are only talking about themselves.

I just separate what's about this reality and what's not. If it's about morals and ethics, then it's just like any other self help or motivational book. Although that is still subjective we can agree on some things and disagree on others. We treat it like anything else we do in our lives. But when it comes to paradise, or hell... that's all the observer. They don't know my paradise, and i don't know their paradise. In that sense, i think we are all right per say. If you believe you're going to be in front of god on your knees for eternity... and you like that image, who am i to say you can't have it. If we are some kind of incorporeal mind... it even makes sense that everyone will, after death, hallucinate whatever they believe. But... i clearly know they are wrong if they are telling me my paradise is to be on my knees for eternity in front of god. Bc that's simply not paradise to me.

So it's that distinction... what are they saying about this reality, do i agree or disagree? What are they saying metaphysically? Do i agree or disagree? Both can be tested easily. That's how we know. Either it's a total lack of belief, or it's a truth that i live for. What i know is no one controls my mind. Influence and all that, sure... but not control (at least presently - and i guess there is a caveat that some people can be controlled)... but not myself at least. So, i can make a reasonable conclusion that if my consciousness continues after death it's me in control.

Firstly, i like your responses. But watch out for this guy... he thinks he's better than you not only off his religion but he thinks he's some kind of intellectually superior human bc he's read a fake book 100 times. When a religion needs me to bow down to an apologist like him... i say, "meet me irl and i'll make you feel insignificant real fast." Anyways... keep going, you're asking good questions.

Should the US invade Africa with the long term goal of making the continent many US states?
-->
@Alec
Technically, there is a potential for everything.  However, if the UN says okay to this and we invade, China and Russia would be hypocritical for nuking us for invading since they invaded too (China invaded Tibet, Russia invaded Crimea).
This should answer most of the question that regard this. Bc it would be invading a continent, not just one of its countries. Unless, you are saying only Libya or something. But, as i'm aware... that isn't the only country in need of a change. This would be a big war dude... it's not small.

If 1 million African soldiers have to die
I'm just guessing and not looking up numbers... but i'm afraid we would have to kill a lot more than a million.

How would it be any different then killing an adult enemy?
This answer worries me a bit man. Do you not know much or lack in empathy? The reason being is bc they are children. Brainwashed, drugged up, abused (possibly even sexually), to fight and kill when they don't even know what that means... You are killing children, not adults that know what they are doing. Imagine being a sniper or heavy gunner and just watching children get blown to pieces... kids, man. I can see a racist not be affected by it... but most people with empathy will be devastated that they had to kill children... especially those with kids. Sure, not all will be affected but there will be those that are...

I don't think the war would be that long
Seriously dude? You are talking about invading a continent... when was the last time we had such a large scale war like that? The only way it will be fast is if we just nuke them. Ground war will not be fast dude.

Culture divides people among cultural lines.
That's not true. There will always be people that like some things and not other things. There always be cultures bc that is the human nature. I like many cultures not of my own, and many i don't like that much. It's the hate in humanity that divides us, it's governments that divide us, it's media that divides us... it's powerful people trying desperately to keep their power. Bc guess what that power gets them? They're dick sucked by everyone all day. That's what people don't get... these people aren't are friends. Humanity, or the majority not in power, need to realize their power to change the world... not allow these powerful people play chess with our lives. You have a good heart... they don't. They like how Africa is bc they profit and keep their power. That's why the only way to change is to wake humanity up to their power... not rely on the powerful. They DON'T have our best interests in heart. That is the deception they feed us.

If they fight dirty, and the UN approves of the invasion, the UN probably would give the US permission to fight dirty too.
So devalue ourselves? Cut heads off and torture and rape? You're starting to sound a bit sociopathic man lol. I'm not being mean, i like having this conversation, but that's what would have to happen... bc they are sociopaths and psychopaths. We would then have to be too.

most people aren't interested in helping out Africa.
On the news, i just saw an American being held hostage. A beautiful blonde white girl. Was stolen from a car. It pisses me off why she would even be there... she is likely being raped by 20 guys a day. It really pisses me off... i think we should leave them alone... they deserve their hell. Like i said, only the weak becoming powerful can change it... if they are complacent, i don't care... they deserve their hell in my eyes.

Africa right now hates the west because the west treated the locals badly.
Right bc going there and trying to help, which we do a lot, is treating them badly... i think stealing and raping Americans when they are there to help is treating us badly... we should hate Africa, but then there are still good hearts that go.

Here, i'll compromise. Let's arm all the "seemingly good" citizens and let them work it out. I don't want more Americans to die for a country that won't help itself. And, rather resort to eating hearts... The only way is through their own. They need to fight for it if they want it bad enough... and if they don't want it... the way i see it, they're okay with it.

Your brain hallucinates your reality

@keithprosser
I was reluctant to share these but i think they would make sense of what is confusing me when i listen to someone like Anil. You can address these if you want. They are my personal experiences so it is my anecdotal accounts.

I remember events from ages 3/4 and above. The first house we bought when we came to America i was around 3 or 4 years old. Moved when i was 5. I don't remember perfectly since i was so young, but what i do remember is confirmed by family members that went through it. It was my first Halloween. Parents asked me to pic a costume... i remember liking most the Devil costume. Also, since my parents had to go out and work or school... i had time to myself and would watch wrestling. I remember falling in love with Undertaker. On Halloween when my parents had a day off to take me out for Halloween, my aunt caught me watching wrestling and took the remote away from me and turned it off. The devil costume came with the pitch fork of course. I remember hitting the wall with it once... the three scratches it made on the wall i remember feeling like i had devil claws. So, every inch of every wall i could hit... i scratched with the imagination i'm actually the devil scratching up the walls. What i remember is only confirmed by me, but the event is confirmed by my aunt spanking me lol.

Then, this next memory is from when we moved and i was 5. I was taking to the toy store and told to pic a toy... my parents pointed out legos to me of a ship. A British ship in pirate times. Said do you want it? Well, next to it was a ship with torn up flags and skulls... i was like naw, i want this one.

Then, this is 1st or second grade. These next two things happened around the same time. It was my first time having to draw shapes. The teacher gave us a bunch of shapes and said our assignment is to draw them. I drew every shape until the last shape... it was a heart. I told the teacher i don't want to draw it. I don't like it. She said i'll fail if i don't draw it, so i kinda drew it like an upside cross... bc i noticed the star upside down could look like a heart... and that looked better than the heart. I remember just not liking how the heart made me feel. Had no idea why though.

Next was a teacher said pic your favorite color. I noticed a bunch of colors but i didn't see black. When it came to me, i said i like black. Teacher said it's not a color pic... i told her, why? I it's my favorite. She again said i'd fail if i don't pic... so i closed my eyes (bc it was black) moved my finger and just stopped... it fell on green so i said that one.

If you understand who i am now... all of that is a consistency which is who i am. Things have changed, but i don't understand... how before knowing what these things are and what they mean to who i am... as a child, i already knew it. Also, spiritually, at those ages i 'knew" i came from another world... which is a different story... but, i don't remember much anyways, I wish i remember what i saw, bc i was able to see it at those ages. But i digress... i just don't get how this consistency of who i am is so accurate despite me knowing what it even means that i don't like hearts, or that i'd rather paint everything black. Who is that self?

Your brain hallucinates your reality
-->
@keithprosser
I do not know how you maintain that belief in the face of the everyday observation that consciousness does not survive anaesthesia, sleep or Alzheimer's.
I really don't want to bring up my spiritual beliefs in this conversation bc i just want to question. But something like this, you have to understand... spiritual platforms like Etrnl and myself believe have viable answers to this question. You are here to experience as a corporeal being in a human reality. You are affected by this human experience according to what it is. Your vessel is a part of this world. If you interrupt it, it's interrupted. That doesn't mean a person didn't come here to have a normal experience, then later have an experience of having alzhemer's... bc the you that came here is incorporeal in the source platform. That is the true you... once your released from this physical realm... you go to your true you with whatever experience you had here... whether it was as a normal human being, a mentally challenged human, a human in a vegetative state, etc... and/or a combo thereof.

So, anyways... i listened to the podcast and it was interesting (i took notes). But again, he starts the whole thing out with saying "consciousness" is a natural phenomena. The brain most def. is... but how does he know consciousness is? But to his credit, the way he is looking at it is in a natural way, but it's clear he is only look at one angle that confirms his bias of what it is. Plus, i think it is a contradiction that he says A.I. can never be conscious like us. If consciousness is purely natural... once we fully understand every bit of it... there should be zero reason why we couldn't recreate it.

We all know drugs affect consciousness... that's why i replied to that one point from your conversation with Etrnl. It applies same here. If consciousness is currently having this physical experience would it not have to be subject to the experience?

In regards to dreaming, he seems he is ignorant about lucid dreaming and out of body experiences. He seems he is just studying the majority that go along with an easy definition of what dreams mostly are… not some fringes that are interesting to note that do happen. I've had lucid dreams where i've walked out of my body, i've dreams where i've controlled, lucidly, every element and was able to change them to many experiences, i've also had a lucid dream where a person in the dream interacted with me even though i was in control and stopped me from controlling it. What's going on?

He keeps bringing up studying the sensory aspect of consciousness. That is the natural side of it... so of course he's going to get natural explanations. Of course, it depends what he means by "sensory" he didn't really define that.

His simulator tests are flawed (as i've mentioned before). The majority of the population are easily influenced… there are a lot that are not as well. I’d like him to test gamers.

How does he know when I see red I’m routing out a bunch of other possibilities and not simply seeing red? Why does he think it’s so complicated? At least, for some it may be… this goes back to the generalizing. He is focusing on some but there are fringes. I feel he is looking for what he wants to see.

And Freewill, Yes? That seems contradictory to what he's been saying. When i listen to him i get the sense we do not have freewill. He really ran away from that question.

@EtrnlVw
I was actually a little disappointed with the video, which initially made claims that secular science does in fact have more information about the nature or origin of consciousness than we might think and then proceeded to make the very same, few claims we've already heard that are weak.
Yes, i found it was a little weak too. He is only focusing on one aspect... the sensory version of consciousness. He is basically focusing on the material version. All of his test are just a majority that go along with what the test is looking for... but, he is totally ignoring the fringes. People like you and i, possibly. Gamer's that look at simulated hands all day and never thinks it's there own. He is just focused on what he believes, and seems he is only looking for people that confirm what he believes. If you watch the podcast that Keith shared... he didn't even bring up lucid dreaming and out of body experiences. Lucid dreaming at the least is a fringe that flies in the face of normal. I even brought it up to a neurologist and he didn't believe me at first... then said i couldn't have been dreaming. Being fully conscious in a dream is interesting... then there's OBE's. If he expanded out of his echo chamber he would see there are cases that fly in the face of what he's doing.

I'm going to try to keep my spiritual beliefs out of this discussion. I know i don't have to with you... i truly believe an infinite consciousness type platform answers what he's seeing and the fringes which is why i find it most interesting. But for the most part i just want to question and bring up cases that fly in the face of what he's saying. Bc i've had personal experiences that do that... from my childhood. I'll bring it up in other responses so read my responses to Keith... i don't want to repeat over and over again. But listening to someone like him, i can only remember these things that just don't make sense in what he's saying or at least don't fit perfectly.

Smollett should have been in prison for behaviour likely to cause civil unrest.
Yeah... also i didn't know he's still being a pussy bitch about it. I think he should have gotten time at this point... i'm starting to feel confident money and connections got him out of it. This is well known among lawyers. I work for a couple, and the criminal one doesn't like doing criminal anymore bc he noticed how corrupt and dangerous it can be. He tells me don't mess around with that... money always wins in the end of the day. Well, that's almost true in all cases... but most cases it's money that keeps you in it or gets you a good lawyer... but there are cases money just buys you out of trouble.

Are rap battles a thing here?
-->
@Dustandashes
I personally like that music battles where people pick a genre and try to pick the best songs. In the end of the day, it's subjective to what the person likes. I feel the rap battles are the same. I personally don't read them bc they are too long, i lose interest when there are too many lines. However, if someone was damn good writing lyrics in a concise manner... i'd probably be interested in reading it. But what i've found so far is that i usually find them to be a tie... when it comes to my style, i haven't seen anything stand out. I'm a musician so my bar is kinda high. So, i tend to stay away from them unless i see something that stands out... but, of course there is a little subjectivity there too in what i personally would like to see.

I think Seth wanted to emphasise that what we perceive has more to do with the brain 'inventing' perceptions than one might suppose.
I can see that, and i agree with it too as one way of looking at it. However, can we generalize? For instance, the tests he showed of the fork on the hand and the computer simulation of a hand... that would never work on me. I've tried these things. I'm sure on the fork test, i would slightly move my hand bc some random just came at me with a pointy sharp object... not bc i felt it or even thought that was my hand. It's just a reflex in general. Or, the computer hand... i wouldn't in a 100 years think that's my hand... i play way too many video games and even without that... i don't think i ever would. I feel he used highly malleable and easily influenced people to prove a point. Bc yeah, i'm sure i can find someone that would feel it in the fork experiment... or someone that will fall for the simulation hand. There are people like that... and, there are people not like that. So, to generalize when it comes to consciousness is very simplistic and ignoring the subject in a bigger picture sense... and i felt he was being deceptive in not bringing up some people are different.

Now, i do agree in a sense we are hallucinating reality. It's all light coming into our eyes and being processed to show us what's there... which is all lights and waves. But, is it our consciousness inventing these things? Or, is our consciousness relearning these things? or, can't i just say we are becoming more aware? Inventing, guessing, learning, relearning, logic, reason, all of that is just a part of the process. I just don't see how we can generalize and say everyone is doing the same. And why is everyone not doing the same? Goes to the why aren't we just "philosophical zombies" type arguments.

With all that said, i mainly agree with him on the reality part of the spectrum (minus that i'm questioning the generalizations of it fitting into his model - the question can be flipped to what is reality anyways).  But besides the reality part, my biggest problem with the video is how he explains consciousness in regards to self. I agree reality affects self, but then again, i'm sure we've had a certain element of ourselves that preceded what we saw in reality (of course not everyone). I think this is where the guessing and inventing falls apart.

Let's clarify the meaning of 'guessing'.   In a coin toss i can guess head or tails - I have no reason to choose one and not the other.   We can call that a 'pure guess'.   On the other hand if you ask me to guess i the sun will rise tomorrow I guess that it will!   Call that a 'reasonned guess'
I see where you're coming from. I just don't know how these people know. Sure, we can define guess as your brain being logical and reasoning to make sure nothings changed... but it seems to me, most the time it would make more sense that you just know what things are. Keeping to the Orange analogy. I don't think my consciousness is doing too much to determine that's an orange... sure, it's staying aware. Aware it's not spoiled... aware that somehow it doesn't magically turn into a rock... but, i think it just know it's an orange and doesn't spend much more time considering the probabilities that it isn't edible. Instead using the word guessing... i would use the word "aware." I don't see how that isn't just as viable. Plus, this awareness would also answer the consistencies that have always been who i am. Bc i know from experience there are things that have been consistently who i am separate of the worlds influence... only influence being is that they exist in this reality. The guessing, even by your definition, wouldn't make sense of that... but, some form of definition of awareness would.

A plea deal is supposed to be a compromise. What did Smollett have to compromise on? $10,000 and two days of community service is nothing. It's absolutely nothing. He makes more than that amount per minute on Empire. She basically just let him off scot-free.
Yeah... i don't know. Did he have some pull? Was it some kind of back room thing? Who knows. However, i just read the police department has a civil case against him... let the lawsuits began. Unfortunately however, he is getting what he wanted and that does kinda stink. This world is weird... things like this regarding celebrities just aren't that shocking to me anymore. They are in the "in-crowd" you know...

So, you don't agree that are consciousness is constantly guessing? I didn't agree with the guy in the video on that, or maybe i misunderstood him. Bc if we didn't "learn" that an orange is an orange and not a rock... we wouldn't be alive today. An orange is an orange, at least as real as it gets, it's there. So, there's really nothing to guess... Throughout our time surviving, i think our consciousness has figured out the world. Maybe predicts or guesses other things... but, as far as presently, it has a good idea of what's there... or else we wouldn't be here.

I like that analogy. I also think of it like a gamer analogy. The gamer (brain) controlling the character (you) in the game. But as you can see, that raises some philosophical questions of what this reality really is and who you are and could be... plus, it doesn't really question some consistencies that have been you throughout the years. I agree "self" can change due to interaction with reality... but there is a "you" that has been there before this evolving self... which can be called "identity" or that sense of "meness." Purely saying it's only biological doesn't answer some deeper questions.

I don’t particularly feel that the person who currently has around 100 individual debates, and has repeatedly professed his mastery ofndebate to varying degrees doesn’t “have time to get the facts and correlate them with all of [their] logic in a concise enough manner for people to understand and vote on.”
Oh, well i didn't get the notion you were speaking in a specific person sense (dudz is joke is making a little sense now). I was replying just personally why i don't like them... plus there are some other aspects like my favorite topic of discussions being things that really aren't debatable per say. That was just an honest response as to people like myself, or just like myself if there are no others that share in my views on the whole thing.

Specific person wise, as you've said it... yeah, i wouldn't understand why they wouldn't debate. The only reason i wouldn't personally is bc i know it's a losing debate to have. Or maybe it's on the grounds of something like spirituality where i know there is a high bias against my position... i find those debates flawed too. I don't know, i don't bother myself with that function of the site. I enjoy talking on the forums and getting to conclusions as long as it takes. That's kinda why i like them... there is no time limit to get your point across.

I've read some of your posts and i've never seen you call someone out for a debate you were arguing in the forums. Seems you enjoy going until the other person gives up too... so you may like both worlds. More power to you man.

But... i am bad at understanding jokes... so saying JK, kinda helps me in that regard... if you didn't i would have replied "but he asked for an honest opinion." Something like that...

I Need Your Honest Opinion
-->
@Ramshutu
Or maybe you just don't have time to get the facts and correlate them with all of your logic in a concise enough manner for people to understand and vote on. Maybe some of us would rather pose questions rather than formally debating them in sections on the forums when we can get to them whenever we want. I think using the "you can't formally debate your point" on someone that is discussing with you on the forums already is kinda a need for validation that you're not wrong bc the other person is making you feel / clearly showing you're wrong. Not always of course, it does feel good to call out a total newb bc you know you'll destroy them... but that's also weak in its on way. There is nothing attractive about the formal debates to me personally.

believe and repent.
Believe and repent to your god... so i can go to hell? Why do you keep running instead of trying to understand your heaven isn't heaven?

Then what?  What will "we" be doing?
Bro... he's just another broken record theist. He doesn't have a good answer... only what he can repeat. And thinks the rest of us should just accept that's heaven bc who wouldn't right? It's "heaven" ... he doesn't even understand it's not necessarily the word "be with the lord" that is important here.. it's the term "forever." I don't know about you, but i get a chill down my spine even thinking that could be true. It's literally worst case scenario.

Your brain hallucinates your reality

I personally think he is trying to take a philosophical topic and water it down. I feel this is a bit short sighted or at the very least on a Consciousness 101 level. Anyways, i'll let you guys discuss.

One thing that does come to mind (no pun intended) is a free will argument... but, anyways, i want to read your opinions.

Oh, and one thing that i thought wasn't clear was distinguishing between self and identity or that sense of "meness."

Cool man. I'm sure being non-delusional is fun... i'll let you have that dull life. I prefer to be insane... it's more fun.

I just see the man-made element of religion, clearly. I don't want to go through all of them, but just leave you with this... i don't understand how you think fallible man wouldn't corrupt and influence the exact book you're reading today. The people of that time enjoyed watching humans die, they enjoyed torturing other humans for fun, they enjoyed enslaving man... these are the people you are trusting, plus all the other narcissist control freaks that translated and kept and changed the Bible along the way. Now... this has nothing to do with your ultimate beliefs. Although, i would probably say bc of this influence you probably wish some humans were different or that they sin when they are just being human... like gay people. But, whatever... i think it's disgusting to be with a man... but whatever they do they do... difference is i don't think they're sinning. That would be from your book.

As long as you don't try to change laws to effect their lives, i don't care what you believe. I actually hope whatever you believe comes true... bc there is an important reason you are following all of this... bc you want to go to heaven. In my belief, you'll get your heaven (most likely; there are caveats)... problem is, in your belief i only get hell. Therefore, it all started there were i saw how human the Bible is... it doesn't even know people like me exist. So, you can answer the man-made element questions here... and, the heaven element on the other thread... or you can answer both here. Or, like most you can run... bc i'm telling you, no Christian to date has been able to answer this paradise paradox. I've basically given up on all other arguments... bc if you can't get passed this, everything else is moot and i will continue to think the Bible is man-made. It's just interesting to me how Christians (and almost all other religions) just don't care what i find beautiful. It's all about what they want. Makes perfect sense why too... fits into my platform.... yeah, it even answers that.

I Will Pick Your Profile Picture
LMBO, that's funny because I like to meditate in complete darkness too, I'll sit in the most usual and dark area like the staircase.
Just don't scare your kids lol. But seriously, it's a good example for them to not be afraid of the dark. I found so much peace when i stopped fearing things... especially the dark. It's hilarious some people still are scared. I took a girl to the beach once and it was all dark... i'm like lets walk that way, she probably thought i was nuts... she's like naw lol. In regards to the meditation thing, something cool happens when i do it this way. That light you still have in your pupils kinda makes waves in the darkness of your eyes, going in and out. Eventually, i can control that light and turn it into any scenery i want. It's pretty cool, but i've only been able to do it 2 or 3 times. For sure 2 since one of them i did recently until people came home and the other is a spiritual experience i talk about here. Other times it just doesn't happen. I just need more time to keep trying without people distracting me.

I always say his eyes remind me of God, not sure how that works but that is what I think when I see them.
Wow man, that's a high compliment. I think it's bc you're probably older than me... when i saw him, i was way young. All i wanted to see is him messing people up lol. But he was really smart the way he made it... he brought that fighting style to the west. Plus, as i got older i realized all the wisdom he spits in the movies too. It would have been cool to take martial arts classes with him or something.

Wow, I don't think I would have said that. Besides my mentor you're one of the few people that can catch me off guard to think from another angle because I would have never thought of it like that. Kudos to you.
Thanks dude. Yeah man, that movie isn't a cult classic for no reason... it's touched the hearts of so many people. It's amazing the power art has on us.

I was the Crow at least five or six times for Halloween lol.
You beat me... but i can't lie i've done it more than once lol.

Nice. I'm usually not to fond of demon pictures, but this one is pretty well done... plus, black, pink is my favorite color combo... didn't know blue looked cool splashed in there too. I think i see a tooth, so i may be wrong about the demon thing and it's a vampire... well thought out if so.

I don't know man... with the internet we can see a lot. But i guess it's different when you are actually there. I agree we can't see everything, but you can at least try. So, be careful with the games if they are taking you away from the world. Nothing in excess is good... well, that's just my opinion. Honestly, i only care if people are doing what makes them happy. If you want to visit Norway, than make it happen. It's a fallacy to say maybe or i might... no, it's i will figure out how to get the Norway... trust me, i'm planning. True story btw... i really want to go to Norway. I'm trying to make it happen... but, i have medical bills for a bunch of bs that happened... that is a problem with USA... medical BS. But, i know i will get through it and be in Norway. Don't matter when, i'll be there.

the end of gun control (spin off thread)
-->
@TheDredPriateRoberts
This legal battle is going to go on for at least another 4 years :/ and omg the... "average people can't understand this" lol it's sorta true but god damn lawyers think so highly of themselves... that's the most annoying part of my job. I wouldn't dare bring up my opinions in the office.

But, on the bright side... if i remember correctly, the 9th circuit seemed to agree with this so far... that's actually a pretty good sign. Although, like i'll always bring up, it's Cali...

There's some saying about sheep being happy they are being fed by the farmer not knowing he will slaughter them for food, something like that, you get the idea. We've tried controls, bans and regulations for half a century now?  perhaps we should go the other way like some states have or are doing.  Vermont has very lax laws I think and yet one of the lowest in murders.  Might be worth finding out why.  make no mistake, murders and mass murders a good for those in power, fear is a great tool to use for control.
Dude this is pretty much exactly what i argue against anyone asking for more bans. How is it going huh? What about we try my way and allow everyone to carry, get rid of gun free zones... and, let's just see what happens. Dude, i honestly think it will work... and if it doesn't, he we'll go back. With that said, if something like that passed, i'd also want, at the very least, if you are going to carry... you have to train and understand weapons before you can. I don't want a bunch of idiots running around with guns. But, if everyone is properly trained, never point at something you won't shot, make sure you know who or what is behind the person you will shot, etc... i think we'll be fine, maybe even better than fine. My uncle is a liberal and he's like why didn't the people just shot at the Vegas shooter if they had rifles and such... well, bc it's not that easy, you're liable for collateral damage, etc. People don't even know this crap... he's the type that said shot the foot... i showed him a video of a guy high on pcp charging the cop as the cop unloaded into him... he took like 6 shots before he went down. I'm like see... apart from you being ignorant about how easy it is to do... would that have helped the cop? He was stunned... he's asking me to go to the shooting range now. He's still being a pussy and putting it off... but at least they asking... his wife is even thinking of buying a gun. Lol. What little knowledge can do. I can wait to see their hands shaking in the range tho hehe.

Guess that is life.
That is life... but concentrate on music a bit. It will show you the hearts of other cultures. And btw.... there is nothing wrong with video games. But try to get out to somewhere you find beautiful that people go to and just chill, watch, and listen to music. For me it's the beach. It's a good break. Gotta get to work, i'll answer you if you reply when i get home.

Aight... give it a go dude. Let's see what you got.

What 'feel' do you want the image to have?
Dark and beautiful.

What trait do you admire more between being severely appealing and severely elusive.
Both. Notice my pic now, it both and has meaning. The blood splatter looks like his spirit; elusive... and the message is appealing. I think at least.

If you were on a desert island and ended up pitted between the option of being the alpha male/female or the cuck/loser what would you be on the food chain between the two?
I'd be the person keeping everyone together and through such manipulation i will be the true leader that watches from the background as the Alpha thinks he has the power.

Are you someone who enjoys competition or wishes it wasn't a part of life?
I'm competitive in things i like... and zero competitive in things i don't like.

Yeah... same as the song i just posted. I like this style bc sometime i can't understand. There are bands like them that do songs in every language, but sometimes prefer not understanding. This is a really good group. These chicks are so beautiful and have a lot of good songs if you're into the genre.

Nothing wrong with your music... i actually love that style. Here one of my favorites that also explains why i like metal. I'll list it below. I like metal bc i like the energy, i like that they are among the best musicians in their instruments (i am a musician), i like how it sounds dark (the song will illustrate that), i like it bc there is just so much heart that goes into it. They are literally kings among their instruments. The only other genre i think could match in difficulty is Jazz... but metal is just beautiful. There are a lot of reasons i'm probably not thinking of... but, go to a metal show (a good band) and then you'll understand. But here is a song like your song that sums out my taste... notice it's beautiful yet dark.

Paradise _ Then what?
-->
@Melcharaz
Paradise most fundamentally defined is being present with the Lord and free from sin, pain, sorrow, death and other such evils.

Sin defines its self through disobedience to the law of God. In taking pleasure in the pain, disorder, betrayal, depression and physical pleasure more than the hope, love, brotherhood/sisterhood, joy etc that others experience.
Yes, i know. I consider that to be hell. Not a physical one like hell, hell... but a slow mental torment. I'm not kidding you, going somewhere as you are describing i would consider to be hell. How do you explain this paradox? If it helps, i can explain what i would consider to be paradise.. you can ask me that. But most importantly is this paradox... if i believe in the Bible... i'm living for going to an eventual hell... either one or the other. And i'm sure not only are those things above taken away, i will also be eternal (that makes it hell). I'd maybe visit heaven for like a vacation, as long as i could die a week or two later. If not, that's my literal worst nightmare scenario when it comes to an afterlife.

Again... please press reply so i can see you replied. I'm curious in your opinion on this.

The song i played starts out with a choir song... it's darker than what you played... but still. It's a choir. A lot of metal CD's start out with a beautiful assemble of choir or piano or something bc it makes the song hit that much harder when it kicks in.

A classic: From creator god ==> Specific God

@Melcharaz
God is able to express himself in more ways than one, if you have had out of body experiences or have had visions or miracles, those fall perfectly in the perimeters of scripture.   If God gives you the ability to prophecy and it comes to past then i cannot fault you for being used by God.  However, a prophecy must always come to past exactly as it is said.   And there have been prophets who did prophecy, but turned away from the faith. The gifts of God are without repentance after all.
So every experience i've had that proves my own belief to me is from god messing with me? I would like to ask why, but i'm sure you'll say something on the lines of Satan is misleading me. But here is the thing, i've had both dark and good experiences, i know the difference. Although, the dark experiences actually turned out to be positive in the end. The point is here, i have experiences that take me away from the God of the Bible... i can clearly, bc of my experiences, see it is man-made and influenced by evil... why would i have this clear revelation? I can never go back bc of it.

Btw... make sure you press reply so i can see a notification.

The chap who believes he is Napoleon has the exact same reasons you have for your beliefs.
I saw you indirectly called me Napoleon in another thread. I don't get it. The trope of Napoleon usually means two separate things that i'm aware. Neither of which make sense in the way you're using it. What does the "chap who believes he is Napoleon" mean?

the end of gun control (spin off thread)
-->
@TheDredPriateRoberts
They have their head in the sand grasping as straws, gun control aka people control is slipping through their fingers like sand.
I don't know man... i feel something big can go down. The problem is, the majority of people are easily influenced and malleable. That has to be the case even evolution wise or else who would build society. The problem in the present however is, now they can be controlled by outside minds as well. It isn't that they are only the working force anymore... now they are also the ones to promulgate the ideas of certain people and groups too. I really don't know how that's going to play out... but, i fear it a little bc i think most people that are in front of the camera, politicians, etc.. being the manipulators... have some kind of narcissism or even psycho type tendencies. Maybe not all, but i feel like it's most... it's just the nature of what they do... they love their own voice, they see themselves on the T.V., they get worshiped in public, they get money... a lot of reasonable normal people would find that exhausting and not have the drive to get it. So, my hypothesis is that nutcases are running our country, influencing the large portion of the malleable population... but i'm left with some open questions... for what? And, what end game? And even if there is no end game... what is the consequence of letting these type of people influence? Well... look at our country and world today. Does it look like it's being run by reasonable people? I don't think so... i'm scared what the end result will be. Maybe i'm being too pessimistic. I hope so.
