I'm not religious, gold. "Organized religion breeds fanatics." I believe that is a fair statement that has nothing to do with having an individualized metaphysical suspicion that affects no one but me.

Religious focused intellectuals achieve nothing at all worth anything in their lives. Whether it's Jesus or Muhammad or even Buddha, they waste away like the scum they are.
They are always cult personalities and at the beginning, all religions were cults regardless of how they ended up.
I agree in regards to religion. I disagree in regards to the intellectuals. Sam Harris, Jordan Peterson, etc... are not wasting their time for they have helped millions. They haven't helped you personally... so what. You aren't the only person on this planet. And if we are going to talk about ratings... their ratings are at god level compared to yours.

I have met the real god, she has actually communicated with me and I know what lack of BS there is when people say God saved them. She is real and I call her Fiora.
And my spiritual beliefs justify your belief... however, it refutes it if you say it is my god as well. Then you would be as deluded as the ones you say are in my eyes if you think it is my god.

Atheists are fools just as much as deluded Theists who think God wants all to know her. If she wants you to know her, you end up knowing her. She likes me so she helped me and helped me more the more I acknowledged her.
If you don't know her, or she hasn't revealed herself to me or another, than being an atheist towards her is justified.

Is it obvious that suicide is wrong?
No, Ethan. It's only bad or wrong when someone loves said person. Even then... assisted suicide if you are in extreme physical pain isn't wrong. So it's not so obvious. Mopac couldn't tell me how his god is more real than mine. You haven't been able to tell me how your god is more real than mine. So.. it most def. isn't obvious...

Fanatics on any side is dangerous. Religion tends to breed fanatics which is why i am against it. If you have a spiritual view that is only yours.. i respect it. As soon as you think it applies to me, i reject it. That is the freedom our politics has given me... which i respect and love about this country. Of course, there are people that preach vitriol in both ... but that is just the human condition. All we can do is try to find and minimize these types of people or beliefs. It's kinda what makes life fun. Opposition is a curious manifestation. In any case, the best we can do is grow and mature. Some take a longer time than others... some will never be able to. That's why it is important what beliefs we implement.

Okay... it would have been more appropriate if i said some of the top public intellectuals... but the intellectuals i am thinking of are probably a lot more famous bc of their lively religious/political debates... but, anyways, that wasn't the point. The point was that both affect our daily lives... making both important. If you'd rather focus on only one of them... good for you. I find researching/studying both is best for understanding humanity at a deeper level.

Politics is important... Religion / spirituality is also super important (in some cases more important). Why do you think the top intellectuals are known for debating both? They both have an ubiquitous effect on our world.

God.. as a centrist i like to vote for who i find to be better... but, i think this election i'm just going to vote straight right. This def. threw a wrench in the gears of the left for me... it might destroy their blue wave hopes too. This event was altogether abhorrent. Any person not sick with Trump derangement syndrome could at the very least see there is absolutely no evidence and with sharper eyes see that this chick was downright lying. Just like the other two.

Okay that's good that you have debated your beliefs... i've never seen it (and don't see it in your debates). I care very little about ratings and debating formally on this site (so if you are using that to have a supercilious authority over me it goes over my head). So, you've never met me or any of the other people on the religion forum that are likely much better than whoever you debated or equal. So i would still say you are inexperienced. The closest you come to a spiritual debate is your free will one (you conceded)... and Jewish one (you said shalom lol). I don't see anything to convince me you know what you are talking about... and, if Judiaism is your belief i would say you are wrong bc no one religion has the truth... but i digress so i don't derail. Make a thread of your belief and lets see what you got...

I hated Imabench and still dislike him overall as a person. He is too laid back morally for my liking but if I had to spend a day on a desert island with Bench or anyone who mains the religion forums, I would pick Bench and that's a fucking fact.
Hmm... didn't see this. I was almost respecting you. If you can't discuss whatever your belief is and debate it... you aren't the best debater as you say you are. It is the one subject that if you can't succinctly and scrupulously debate you will sound illogical since there is no proof either way but there is logic and weaker evidence to support your debates. But in any case, if you've never debated your belief i would say you are the weakest debater on this site.

You first insulted him. You first used vulgarity. How is he the one taking it personally? No sir, it's you, and even you call yourself a useless troll. Even you.

No one wants to read your posts, which is why you need to resort to gimmicks, antics, and vulgarity to get reads. Seriously consider including your brain in your process of posting. If you have a working one that is.

That's funny... the "religion forum people" do know other people on this site... what a shock.

So what other forums should the religious forum people go to? I mean, i see them in philosophy, politics and science.... you know, the forums that take some thought. Should the religion forum people come to the personal forums and tell you or make a thread on who the hottest member is? Or AMA... the reason you don't see them is bc they are people in forums that have the deeper subjects in life that they may not be able to discuss since most aren't qualified. If i am going to do an AMA it will be in my everyday life, not sit online and think i am something special for winning a presidency online. Lmao off... Gold is right in that you are a child. There are interesting threads in the religion forum here and there... i will admit it takes some time to find one since i care very little for religion... but, you have never met some of the wisest members i have had the pleasure to read... including people like Ruvdraba... (i forget his name but the religion users know who i am talking about.)

I want to know of thoughts and pick and choose who I control. There's no fun in having sex with or being friends with someone I control entirely.
That's exactly what turns me off (pun intended) of the soul stone. I wouldn't want to take away free will... life would be boring if i controlled everything.

It's cool you pick the mind stone. I usually don't think about that kind of power. Show's how diverse people are.

If you want to make everyone puppets that would be the soul stone. The mind stone just allows you to enter thoughts... i'm pretty sure. The original cannon could be different as to its power, i just don't remember, but from the definitions alone the mind stone is just for readying thoughts it seems. Soul stone would allow you to control people.

So... while i'm here, i would rather have fun with the space stone. Plus, it's more of an experience bc the reality stone is just a snap of the finger without having to really try for anything.

You can point out why an innocuous translation wouldn't be the right translation... and, explain to me how paradise as described by the Bible is a Hell to some people including me... and answer why the Bibles prophecies are any more important than other prophecies. Do you understand the difference between a religion that men make up and a religious belief that God initiates? It is the difference between the real and the counterfeit, between light and darkness, between day and night, between man-made gods and the true and living God.
Stop pretending like you know squat. You're spiritually a dunce if you can't answer simple questions, which by the looks of it, are conceding at this point.

The time stone is awesome bc you can do that. It's really hard to turn it down, but i would also like really like the space stone. That would be awesome. No one would be able to touch me and i can break into any bank i want... plus i could probably only fly with this one since i can transport myself anywhere in the sky. Flying would be awesome so i think i would go with the space stone myself. The power stone is cool too since no one would be able to touch me. You could rule the world with that one... well, you could rule this world with any of those lol but the power stone would make you invisible so no one could kill you... which would make taking over the world easier.

If you can only take one, which would you take and why:

Soul Stone: Allows the user to steal, control, manipulate, and alter living and dead souls. The Soul Gem is also the gateway to an idyllic pocket universe. At full potential, the Soul Gem grants the user control over all life in the universe.

Time Stone: Allows the user to see into the past and the future; stop, slow down, speed up or reverse the flow of time; travel through time; change the past and the future; age and de-age beings, and trap people or entire universes in unending loops of time. At full potential, the Time Gem grants the user omniscience and total control over the past, present, and future.

Space Stone: Allows the user to exist in any location; move any object anywhere throughout reality; warp or rearrange space; teleport themselves and others; increase their speed, and alter the distance between objects contrary to the laws of physics. At full potential, the Space Gem grants the user omnipresence.

Mind Stone: Allows the user to enhance their mental and psionic abilities and access the thoughts and dreams of other beings. At full potential, when backed by the Power Gem, the Mind Gem can access all minds in existence simultaneously. The Mind Gem is also the manifestation of the universal subconscious.

Reality Stone: Allows the user to fulfill their wishes, even if the wish is in direct contradiction with scientific laws, and do things that would normally be impossible; and create any type of an alternate reality the user wishes. At full potential, when backed by the other Gems, the Reality Gem allows the user to alter reality on a universal scale.

Power Stone: Allows the user to access and manipulate all forms of energy; enhance their physical strength and durability; enhance any superhuman ability; and boost the effects of the other five Gems. At full potential, the Power Gem grants the user omnipotence.

And I don't buy the ego thing because I see your ego at play
I never said i don't have an ego. I'm just as fallible as the next. My ego is quite healthy. I just see inconsistencies with the Bible that redirect my belief to something else. I am talking to you as an expert, since it is your religion, to put my concerns to bed... you haven't.

I have challenged, and no one, other than SkepticalOne
And, what is his views? You are being blindsided by me, i can tell. You aren't use to having a conversation with someone that is spiritual. That is why you think the topic is being derailed. It's not... it's moving towards where it has to when you talk to someone like me.

Here is the topic of contention: Prophecy is Reasonable and Logical to Believe.
And you're not listening. Are you not understand my views? I told you that i am all to aware of prophecy. I've personally done it... and, actually, i can tell you exactly specifics about the far out future and what this world will be like. I'm am 90% sure i can. If i wrote it down and it became true... would that make me a prophet? How about all the other people that have fulfilled prophecy that aren't Christians... do they get any credit?

This is what you aren't getting. I don't contest spiritual experiences. I've personally witnessed them, and i have heard and studied stories of many others. I have even had a "healing" spiritual experience and the only other person that comes to mind is Jesus... so, i out of the few others, believe this stuff can happen. I just don't think they give any credit to a single religion's god... since they happen across multiple faiths, including mine. My spiritual platform answers why... yours doesn't.

This is why our conversation will naturally go towards you having to then prove why these prophecies would mean anything in regards to proving your religion. This requires analysis of other claims... which is why you might think i am derailing but i'm not. I'm spiritual, not an atheist... well i am an atheist towards religion but it isn't the same as the atheists your use to.

Those who have translated the Bible have done so from the ORIGINAL languages into the different languages.
Oh don't try to pull a wool over my eyes, man. This is just a cop-out. Okay... here i'll say it like this... even in its original form i will still read it as Jesus' story being and example to live by... not a demand to submit. And, it's not just my feelings... it's more logical since it doesn't burn good people in hell for simply not submitting.

It is usually copied and pasted from atheistic sites that carry their own bias.

No i haven't. It is how it reads to me the first time i read everything about Jesus. This translation was never suggested to me but obvious when i heard Jesus' story. It protects and universally applies to everyone with love in their hearts... instead of the human translation that damn's people for simply not submitting. That is clearly man-made ego and territorial bull. That is how i know i am right and you can't show me anything that doesn't follow my translation. Just bc a bunch of people translate it different doesn't make it right and is a fallacy to say it does... it just proves humans are fallible.

Again... you have challenged nothing and now you have a new challenge that you are lacking in again. Every response from you is proving to me i am correct about the Bible due to zero meaningful refutations from you to prove otherwise.

I have given you a list of concerns now and all you have done is say that you're right and i'm wrong. And... people like you are the ones that translate the Bible, wow. And you expect atheists and other beliefs to not see through this bull?

Astral projection is a form of soul travel but not exactly the same.
O, okay i see. I will give it a try. I heard a method that sounds like it would do what you're saying. It was to lay down and imagine an invisible rope in front of you. Then to with your minds eye see yourself pulling your soul out of your body from the rope. To grab and keep pulling until your soul is out. I think i can try that one. I think if i want to have one of these experiences the best way for me is with drugs. I don't find drugs to be a cheat... it's just another tool. So i'm not against the idea... but, the thing with drugs is that you can have any variety of experiences... and these spiritual experience are even rare with them... i don't do them bc i am afraid of a bad trip.

When Jesus said:

How do you know i am not interpreting it correctly? That all Jesus meant was to believe in his story? That is what "through me" sounds like to me. To live life with his story as an example. So... how am i wrong about that? It also makes more sense since it isn't a tribal or narcissistic interpretation to believe that way.

Um... you didn't answer any of my concerns that make me of the belief the Bible as a whole and/or religion is wrong. This is called conceding and gives me no reason to believe anything you say. I told you i have evidence to the contrary... you have done nothing to challenge that.

Have you ever heard of soul travel?

If this is the same as OBE's or astral projection, yes. I have never done it consciously without the help of a hallucinogen, but with one, Salvia, i have had 5 experiences... all the same which is rare for this drug, bc i always go to the same place. The thing with this one is that it also makes me believe i have died so it is scary as hell and i haven't done it again. Weed has also given me a slight one once but not all the way.

The natural ones i have done are all with lucid dreams. I've had a dozen or so when i was trying. It's really hard to do... and messes with my sleep so i haven't done it for awhile. But i remember the most intense one i literally stood up out of my body, looked at myself sleeping and thought... "i can do anything right now" ... that thought was so exciting it woke me up lol. It was super vivid and i think i even remember feeling my hands... which was part of what gave me an adrenaline rush that woke me up.

I really want to do a natural one but i haven't been able to. I can only do it in sleep or drugs, but have never done it when i was semi-conscious. I've tried but haven't got it. I haven't tried many times though so maybe if i try it consecutively i might get it. If you know any techniques let me know, i'm open to try it. I've heard you can have astral sex... i wanna, lol.

I agree with that, it's unfortunate anyone would want to limit such a diverse and eternal reality and reject everything else involved. It's almost as if they ignore all of creation is within the first Source, which would be omnipresent, within all things.
That was going to be my next topic to define... "god" itself. That is something religious people can't do by design almost. They always use the excuse that you cannot imagine god, you cannot define god... i've never understood this line of thinking. Yeah... maybe you can't define something infinite bc you are a finite being... but you can definitely experience it and feel it. At which time you will understand what it means to be an infinite entity which will help you scratch the surface. That is why me and you may find disagreement on certain attributes... bc we are trying to define the infinite. It's crazy, but i wouldn't say you "cannot" understand god. You so can.

First of all you wouldn't want to live eternal on earth I'm sure you probably wouldn't want that if you knew what exists beyond this experience
I 100% agree with this. That is why i am a fictional realist, but i usually leave that out of the argument... it's a little too much for most to imagine.

The fun part, is when the soul wakes up from the grind or one perception and they realize how much more fun creation will be, each soul will eventually wake up, but as well that soul can play the heaven and hell game and the war between the two for as long as they like.
100% with you again... i really hope this is true and we're are on to something. I have my fingers crossed.

Many people are restricted by their own beliefs, mindsets and ideologies that they have their complete focus only on one reality or experience and therefore cut themselves off from any type of possible observation beyond it.
This is the gist of what i am trying to have PGA understand. When you are hyper-focused on one possibility... that is all you will experience. Your "own paradise." But, the closer you get to the source and its infinite possibilities... you can have all types of experiences which i have had bc of my mindset... and many others as well. This is direct evidence.

First of all you wouldn't want to live eternal on earth I'm sure you probably wouldn't want that if you knew what exists beyond this experience
If they only knew the truth in this... this is precisely what he isn't understanding yet. How is it that their paradise is my hell? They can't answer it bc if they did, they would start realizing the source hypothesis.

First, when you say, "How is it not obvious to you there is more than one truth?" and "All religion is intertwined," it is counter-intuitive
I meant to say there is more than one way to the truth. That was my bad. Every religion is intertwined in that they are seeking enlightenment and a good way to live to get to it. The only differences are they have different explanations and methods. That is bc it's man-made and an attempt to define a spiritual reality. So yeah, they will have similarities and differences, but they all have a common thread of "live good."

 Second, while feelings are personal to the individual, many times they are just that and nothing else.
So you would believe my experiences if i wrote them in a book? That is basically what you are saying. See, i believe that prophecy can happen. I believe miraculous stuff can happen bc they have happened to me. Therefore, i don't discount crazy spiritual experiences. However, i know many people have them. People of all faiths and beliefs. I don't even count my own most the time bc there are so many other people that have these stories. You don't have to believe me, or anyone else, but you know what corroborates that they do happen? It's the frequency of them happening and people saying it happened. What you are doing is focusing on one book and a certain amount of people's experiences. You aren't counting the countless others that have had spiritual experiences. I find that to be close-minded and a bit tunnel visioned on one book. You are believing in one factor bc it is written in a book. Open your eyes, man. I am telling you, as one person out of many others i am sure can tell you, i have had spiritual experiences. They are not consistent with the Bible... I'm sure there are many others that are, but there are just as many others that aren't. You are not counting it bc they didn't write it down... that's just willfully being ignorant.

Third, if God is not as you FEEL or suppose, without any credible evidence but your personal feelings, you are risking everything.
You haven't been paying attention... it isn't just my feelings. It is logic, it is thought, it is experiences, it's observation. That isn't just my feelings. I have weighed all the sides. How many other religions have you studied? How many other philosophies on the afterlife have you considered? How many other people have you listened to? Bc i have done all the above for 20 some out years now and continuing. Like i said, you have tunnel vision on one possibility... and yeah, i'll call it a possibility bc i don't know anything for sure. It is just much less likely than other spiritual platforms.

When you treat Jesus like any other religious figure you are missing the entire point of Christianity. He is not
Yes he is. Just like millions of other religions figures. However, i think his story is the ultimate definition of love. The way it happened, what happened, is a perfect example of what it means to love. Isn't that accepting "Jesus" when i say that? Why do Christians want more? Like i said, i clearly see spiritual concepts and beyond... there is no other way he could have shown his love is for everyone than the way his story goes. That is spiritually brilliant... i know this, but i further know this entity isn't narcissistic and doesn't care that i have a different spiritual belief... i have a different belief for an afterlife... as simple as that.

So, you had better be sure you have a TRUE belief before you die
I am 70% sure. Which is 30% more than any other afterlife belief i have heard of. I have defined why... which is a question you didn't answer. How does one heaven account for multiple different paradises? Like i said, the common definition i have heard from theists of heaven would be my hell, literally. How do you account for that?

Sixth, maybe the "spiritual community" you hang around thinks that of you
Fifth i didn't answer since i already did, it's not just feelings. I don't hang out with a spiritual community, i study spirituality. That is how i know which percentage of people have a similar belief to mine. And all of those people call this true enlightenment. But like i said, i don't like that phrase. I only like what it means... spiritual intelligence. You really didn't challenge me other than make me say the same thing... i had a list of questions i wrote last in what my spiritual platform answers. All of those i don't think the Bible answers sufficiently enough to warrant a belief. Those aren't just feelings, like i said earlier i have weighed it and considered it and found it lacking.

See this is what you don't get. I don't need prophecies from the Bible. I have lived a prophecy. I was going to tell you what, but i don't think i should bc it is still ongoing. All i can tell you is i have predicted events before they happen. I have had spiritual experiences of healing another, moving objects, noises, steps...  you say it, i have witnessed it. Therefore, i understand spiritual experiences a little better than most, bc till today, i haven't talked to anyone, in life or over the internet, that has had the same amount of experiences with the same profoundness. I really want to say this humbly bc i find it to be a curse of my type of mind... it may not come across that way but i truly do say all this humbly. Oh and btw... almost all of it was sober experiences and i wouldn't mind having a neurologist confirm that i don't suffer from hallucinations or anything related. I have had one profound experience from a drug called Salvia... that i don't count out of my experiences bc it was truly too profound to have been just a trip.

With all of this, as they started from a young age, i use to be lost and religious. But, then i started understanding spirituality more and more. I witnessed a Muslim die exactly how she said she will after a passage of the Koran. I have witnessed a Christian in my dreams say goodbye before he died tragically... etc. as i don't want to get anymore specific than this. There are people all over the world that don't know your religion living perfectly and experiencing their gods. There are people that see their gods answer their prayers. How is it not obvious to you there is more than one truth? There is not only "accept Jesus and be saved" ... Jesus is a story of love.. accept love and you are good. You don't need to say your Christian, you don't need to say i accept Jesus... you accept love and you will have a good life.

All religion is intertwined. Like i said, they are all trying to answer one truth. The truth they all answer living in this world is that love will make your life good. That is all. It's easy when it comes to this world. To learn the emotions that make your path good.

What i am most interested in is the afterlife and where i see the most flaws in Christianity and other religions. One, humans, us, we cannot sustain immortality. We would go mad. Oh, but in heaven you will have a new body... right? So you are telling me when i die i won't be me anymore... that is what that means. Plus, how do you define heaven? For me heaven is to become a Vampire and living in a dark world on lines with the movie The Crow. These are my heavens? Have you asked anyone what they think heaven is? How do you account for one paradise? The implications would have to go towards multiple paradises. It has to bc the paradise i hear Christians say most of the time is my Hell, literally. How do you account for that?

Well i have, i have answered how that works. I have answered why i am here, i have answered where i will go and where you will go. Honestly, what ever you believe your afterlife will be... that is where you are going. Where you fail to understand is that i am not coming to your paradise.. bc it isn't my paradise. What does that point to? I will skip a little... it points to an eternal intelligence/consciousness (source). This source is endless and it isn't a who, it's an it. It's everything.

Living is a manifestation of what this source already knows. Think of infinite sand. For us to experience a sandcastle one would have to make it. But, without making it, doesn't the sandcastle exist? Think about it... everything exists in this eternal sand, it's just someone needs to make it before it's actualized and living an experience. Same with us... we are all a part of this infinite consciousness. We are currently in paradise. This world. When we die we are infinite... we know everything but are not experiencing. We need to make the sand castle to experience... we need to manifest ourselves in an experience to live.

Therefore, within this eternal source we individualize and manifest into experiences. This life. Therefore, your next life already exists too. You will go to a heaven if that is where you think you'll go. Everything is real. This is what religion doesn't get.. why? Bc it is man made and territorial. Ego filled. You have to play my imaginary game bc i don't like yours. Well guess what, that doesn't matter bc i know where i am going... into my game. And that is how it works in a nutshell. I can justify everything i have just said... no-one has stumped me on this belief yet. I don't like that bc i like being challenged so if you can challenge me, i'd love it.

Just know... this answers why there are multiple beliefs, this answers all of my spiritual experiences, this answers why other's have different spiritual experiences, this answers how there are different afterlife beliefs, this answer why i would be here, it answer why there is evil, it literally answers everything that i could think of so far so... good luck. The spiritual community considers me someone that is enlightened. I don't like saying that bc it just seems like a human ego thing trying to say i am something special. I'm not, but one thing it does mean is that i can see spiritual platforms superlatively and vivid. That part is true.

I'll check them out. I'm not too keen on reading, but i do like shows if they have a supernatural element to them. I'm a sci fi / fantasy hoe. I mean, of course that is what i like with my type of beliefs lol.

@DBlaze
Same here, man. That is why i am a centrist and i don't even like calling myself that bc i don't want anyone to think i am set on any ideas/policies. Every idea needs to be weighed on how it helps society. If we take away abortion, more people will be hurt from the implications. But i flip 100% and think the same with guns. Take away guns, more people will be hurt. And what you said i agree with too, let's be pro-life towards humans that are actually alive; have memories and dreams.

I don't know about healthcare though. I don't think a switch to UHC, only, is a good idea. We have to innovate that idea. I think a mix of what we have and UHC could work. So if people want extra perks they can pay extra for it. We just have to make sure that doesn't only benefit the rich. Everything has a chain reaction that should be considered... including how people will abuse it. Never trust people in power to do things right for others... they will always want more power for themselves. It's really complex trying to move in the right direction... but, you know what... video games have figured it out lol.

For Stephen - Prophecy is Reasonable and Logical to Believe

@PGA2.0
So let's say this "prophecy" is true... how does that equal the Bible being right? The Bible as a whole is flawed... that doesn't mean people couldn't guess certain events correctly. However, that in no way makes the Bible correct in its metaphysical claims. I believe in intelligent design... however creationism is baloney. It's an attempt at describing intelligent design and that is the key word "attempt" which presupposes fallible humans. Humans wrote the Bible, humans wrote religion... it is all flawed, yet sometimes right. That portion it's right is blinding you to the bigger picture of its flaws.

Black vs Asian civil rights
-->
@triangle.128k
Ultimately i think it's a bit unfair to compare the two bc blacks did go through a lot more than Asians have. Another thing that separates Asians from blacks is that they come here with a lot of wealth already. Making it easier to succeed. However, what Asians do well is not play a victim card. Even if they don't have wealth, i've never seen or heard of an Asian say they have no privilege. They just work hard and make something for themselves. It doesn't matter how much is stacked against them, they work towards a goal of succeeding. I've also noticed that with middle easterners. One would think if you look like Osama Bin Laden you would think everyone hates you... but, nope. Middle Easterners will just make fun of themselves, and joke about it... but i haven't noticed a victim mentality.

So, working hard towards succeeding i think is a smart direction to take, and to not feel like a victim. I think a large portion of the black community has just conceded this. It may have something to do with IQ too.. i don't know. I do know Asians have the highest IQ by country and that seems to correlate with success. However, middle easterners have lower than average IQ and they are still successful... So not to sure about IQ. What i do know is the best of the best middle easterners come here, so maybe that is why there are a lot of successful ones here. It really has to do with how much wealth you bring with yourself here and where you start. Blacks unfortunately don't have this head start but in my opinion they do in other ways such as affirmative action. They can get into good schools, they can make something of themselves... I just think in the end of the day, they have allowed people telling they can't succeed get into their communities minds.

Today, anyone can succeed if they try. There will always be racists, but i personally rarely come across one. Actually, in the OC where i live... people are more racist towards Asian than blacks. Bc Chinese people are buying all the houses here. In any case, i don't see much racism. I remember a friend of mine in high school was doing so good until he let a victim mentality in. Then he started to fall apart. Committing crime and going to jail. So another thing the exacerbates a victim mentality is the choices you make.

The Purge: be honest, would you be a purger or an abstainer
-->
@Castin
If you're gonna spend a lot of time on foot, that sounds like a lot of gear weight. At the start of the night it would feel fine but as you exert yourself it'd feel heavier and heavier, and movement speed is crucial in combat situations. Even if you're armed and armored. But training can mitigate the dangers of encumbrance.

You're right. Maybe i can keep a car filled with every type of weapon for the situation and go with that weapon when i find one of these gang packs and take a weapon accordingly. I actually like this idea better bc then i will get to kill with all types of fun toys. I guess i will just keep a handgun and some knives on me in case i need a back up in the heat of the moment... but the rest will be situational.

Numbers was gonna be my next question. If you're one guy going after a group you'll be at a very steep disadvantage, and most hunting parties move in packs -- stronger that way, more acceptable risk/reward ratio. There's no saying whether you'd have access to explosives or could control their effects precisely enough to be sure you can avoid collateral damage. You could set traps I suppose, but the trick would be to get a hunting party to walk into them.
You're right again... so join my group! I'm sure other's would be down. We'll be called the Shield Assassins. Hmm... but if i had to do it myself, i would track who i'm hunting and learn there movements. Then... since they are looking for people to kill, i can bait them into a location i have set up with all types of traps. It would be harder, but i imagine the one's killing innocent people wouldn't be very smart anyways. The smarter criminals would likely work alone. It would be a real test of my abilities... i guess the boss level... to go against foe's with a smart leader. I may need help at that point.

Lol... it's really interesting... i mean, i think it is probably the one that is most used by Hollywood. Plus, it is really like the simulation type of hypotheses too. Which is now showing up everywhere. The implications, if you keep going down the rabbit hole of my metaphysical belief leads to fictional realism. Think about it... this source is everything, what does that mean? Bc humans have imagined some pretty crazy things, insane realities / universes.. is it all of that too? Well, i personally think it is bc those realities have already been imagined by the source. Why can't everything be true in some other reality / possible world? This is also why i think humans have the ability to imagine these worlds that don't exist bc they do exist somewhere.

I would say, Fictional realism / Modal Realism plus a little dualism, pantheism and personal solipsism is my overall metaphysical belief. I've really gone done the rabbit hole of what the implications of a source intelligence would be... so far it looks something like the above. I'm learning everyday though so i'm sure things can be added or subtracted from it when i become aware of them.

See this is where i fall off the right wagon. Fetus' aren't people. I'm sorry, but you can spin it however you want... you aren't killing anyone bc no person with an identity is born. Just a small fetus stuck in infinite darkness. If it is a soul thing... trust me, the soul will find another fetus to inhabit. Plus, take away abortions and people will find other ways to do it mostly dangerous. Or, you will be forcing someone that can't take care of a kid to have a kid. I see nothing good about banning abortions. I use to be in favor of having people that are morally against it not have to pay taxes towards it, but guess what... i'm against war and i still have to pay for it, so it's a tough luck type scenario.

If those women were truly sexually assaulted by him... he shouldn't get the position. However, how do we know if it just wasn't a butt slap. How do we know if it wasn't just a drunken kiss that he felt bad for. How do we know it isn't some crazy-x that knows see's an opportunity to mess with him. This metoo thing has set up a system where just words can destroy a person before they have been proven wrong. It's not good. So it's hard to take something like this serious that a few random girls are all the sudden bringing up. Sure try to prove it... but how are they? And even if they do... should we punish a teen for being a teen?

@3RU7AL
I would be somewhat interested in hearing your preferred definitions of "intelligence" and "mind".
Well the best i can do is to anthropomorphize the definitions from what we see in humans and presuppose a higher intelligence has it in some form or another. I tend to think it's a different intelligence than that of humans however. Human intelligence is the ability to think, to imagine, to solve problems, to define reality and things around you, to create, to be conscious, sentience, etc. In humans it is different than in computers. A computer can solve problems too... so it is intelligent at doing that. It's a different form of intelligence. Humans seem to be able to learn it on their own, so it's a different intelligence in that way as well where a computer needs to be programmed.

A computer can be programmed to play chess. If it is programmed to also think for itself for solutions, like a recent study i saw taught a computer a Chinese game and it beat the top player. So a computer is more intelligent, or has the capability to be more intelligent than a human in certain things. It can access any information it seeks. Humans tend to forget and can't always access information on command. So they are different in these ways. I imagine the source of intelligence would be infinitely more intelligent than an A.I. Therefore, i imagine it would be different in that way. One attribute a higher intelligence would have i believe is that it would be simultaneously omniscient. It would know everything at once. Our entire history and future would be known to it. So, in that sense it would be different than a human and A.I.

A mind i define as the platform to give rise to intelligence. You need a brain to be intelligent. A computer needs hardware to solve problems. A higher intelligence likely just needs space and time to be realized... or some arrangement of space, time and energy to manifest. (I tend to favor a higher intelligence that has always been or one that evolved - can't be sure which is the right answer but they both lead to the same implications anyways). So i would say it is the platform that gives rise to intelligence.

The Hindu's believe what we call "reality" is Brahma's dream
Oh almost forgot to address this. That's interesting and i'll have to look it up. What i believe is happening is similar but not exactly a dream. Our higher selves or becoming one with the source would be more so the dream and living would be reality. Bc in the higher state or upon death, you also become omniscient. Bc of that you really aren't living since you will know everything. Every stories you have lived from beginning to end. I believe that state isn't sustainable or quite frankly boring. That is why creating mortality to live experiences seems like a genius creation a higher intelligence would manifest to actually live rather than stay all knowing.

@3RU7AL
Let's try this.  Instead of a canvas, let's imagine a gigantic piece of paper.  This piece of paper stretches in every direction further than we could ever travel in a trillion lifetimes.  This is similar to what you seem to be describing.  Now my point on this is that if the paper only stretches out in two dimensions, then it is not truly unlimited or unbounded.  So to explain what I'm trying to illustrate here, imagine millions of trillions of these gigantic pieces of paper stacked on top of each other.  This would be the largest possible ream of paper.  The observable cosmos is now paperverse.

There is no room in paperverse for anything other than paper.  There can be no paint.  There can be no painter.  If the canvas is truly unbounded, it would expand, not only in two dimensions, but in three dimensions, and then four dimensions, and then five dimensions, and so on.

Here's another example.  Imagine an empty box.  What is in the box?  Well, there's probably air in the box and maybe some dust.  Ok, so let's remove the air and the dust, now is it empty?  No, not really, there is still space-time in the box.  In order to be truly empty, it would have to be so small as to not take up any space-time.  How small would this empty box need to be?  Smaller than the Planck length.  Would it be fair to say that something smaller than the Planck length "exists"?  Probably not.  It also probably couldn't properly be described as a box.

"Nothing" literally doesn't exist.
We really need to find out where i am not getting this bc i am all willing to concede if i am wrong, and being wrong in this would be the first time in a long time i have to re-think my beliefs... which to a surprise to some, i love being challenged. But again, i don't get it. lol.

I think i might be getting it a little though. So, you are saying bc these stacks of paper go in every direction, and also every height and width... that all you will have is stacking paper and no time for anything else... in that sense i am sorta getting it, but with something not physical like space-time it doesn't work. You have space-time stacked in every direction already, however this doesn't mean it's infinitely stacking... it just is. It has always existed therefore, not stacking. It's sorta finite in that it is done moving any direction. It's not expanding in any direction.. it already exists in any direction you can go. In which case, it is set for a person to write on it, or paint on it, bc it is the platform.

Now... saying it like this made me think of something... maybe saying infinite is a bad way to describe this. "Infinitely finite maybe?" See i don't think it is moving or growing... i think it just is the platform. It is everywhere already. Now, if i add my belief to this it makes it sorta different but makes sense of it a little more. If there is an "undying" consciousness. I won't say infinite, i'll just say immortal. If this source is everything... then space is as big as its mind. Technically not infinite, but the boundaries would be its imagination's end. And since it can continue to imagine, it's an endless space. But just like without a mind being added to this, the mind/platform is already set. It isn't moving in any direction, it's just conscious... so the platform is already there, all it needs to do is imagine finite events now.

I think that is where are disagreement might be... i don't think it is infinitely expanding. I think it is a set platform. That is why the only thing that can be infinite/endless would be this platform. If anything physical became infinite we would run into the problem you are mentioning.
