These potential phenomena should be referred to as hypotheses.
Remember when i say believe it's a 70/30 thing never a certainty. So, i have no problem calling anything that i believe out side the box a hypotheses, speculation, conjecture.
I'd say, "practically no end", or unknown potential limit, or beyond our ability to measure.
I don't mind defining it that way bc that is technically true if we are concentrating on the meaning of each phrase. We certainly can't measure infinity or even really think of it with our limited/finite brains.
However, until other intelligences are verified in some way, this viewpoint is merely an interesting hypothesis and should not be mistaken for anything resembling what we might call a fact.
I agree with that. I would never call it fact... again it's a 70/30 thing. There are facts that have gotten me to this conclusion in the form of spiritual experiences i have had that point to such speculation... in the end of the day however, i have no clue if i have pieced what i know together correctly. It's just the current spiritual platform i believe answers the most questions for me, and that's all i care about. IF it is logical and possible, then i'm okay with saying i am spiritual... but, i'll never assert i am right, just like i will fight anyone telling me i am not right. My advantage is that i have tried to piece together the most logical platform given what we know so far... so, i already know it's impossible to prove and to refute. It's a big interesting maybe.
The canvas is a good example. A canvas is (practically) limited to two dimensions. If you had a truly infinite canvas, it would expand in every direction and every possible dimension, making it impossible to paint on (and obliterating every other possible thing in existence including paint).
Okay, i posted this last so i can concede the above definitions first. Bc i don't see why i couldn't call it how i did above and for things to still make sense. I'm okay with endless, indefinite, etc. However, i still don't understand what you mean. You have to address why you don't think finite events could happen on an infinite platform. I get what you mean that the canvass wouldn't have any boundaries, but i don't understand why finite events can't just happen anywhere on this canvass. It's not that every single part of space is filled with something... maybe there are points where it's just space, i.e. no paint ... but you can have paint where ever you want on the canvass. The key here is an intelligence making it making it work. Maybe without that you are right and it wouldn't work (but i still don't see that either)... but, if you have a painter, then it doesn't matter how infinite the canvass is.
While i was saying this analogy something else interesting came to mind. If it is a mind drawing a picture on this canvass, usually the closer you get to the actual picture or the focus of the painting there would be less entropy. The further away there is more entropy bc it isn't the focus of the painting. It's interesting how that is the same for us too. The closer you get to life the less entropy the further you get more... it's almost like an art piece. That my stab at intelligent design for the day.

There are certainly a lot of as-of-yet undiscovered phenomena that are interesting to speculate about, however, I believe that you'll find the word "exists" itselfcan only apply to verifiable phenomena.
Now we are getting to the science, so this is true for how we verify knowledge. But, how do you test for something like existence? How can we prove existence? There are certain phenomena that could exist that we have no way to test for or understand.
Actually, I can even concede that space-time is finite but always indefinitely expanding.
This is sorta what i believe. By infinite i guess i mean it has no end. For both space-time and the eternal mind hypothesis i speculate this could be true. I am starting to understand i don't believe it either the way you define it.
In other words, you can have an indefinite number of indefinitely large or expansive phenomena coexisting together, but even one infinite thing would make any coexistence logically impossible.
I understand now what you mean per se. I just don't get how it applies to space-time. Remember, i am saying the platform is infinite and everything else within it is finite. It's like a canvas. Just bc you have an infinite canvas to draw on doesn't mean you can't draw where ever you want on it. That is what i think the mind is doing on the infinite canvas called space-time. This is why i believe a mind can beat infinite regress... or even your problems with infinity.
We might speculate that humans could possibly develop some sort of hyper-intelligence, but I would have to say that infinite intelligence is logically impossible simply because "infinite" and "intelligence" (or "any nameable thing") is a contradiction in terms.
I am starting to change my definitions a bit. Maybe i don't mean infinite, but just endless. So, it can be an intelligence that is forever conscious but always present. Therefore, it is finite up until the point of its awareness. This could also be a possibility. I'm not the type to be stuck on only one possible outcome. However, i do not think it is logically impossible to have a higher consciousness... I actually think it is a certainty that there is one (or more).
Maybe you don't believe the same way i do bc you think things are finite-ish. See, given endless space-time, it is not only possible but probable for there to be other intelligence's. The source i talk about is simply something like a universal mind. Even if i didn't go with the i think this mind is everything, it could be a mind in another universe that became conscious (boltzmann brain idea). I think this is highly probably bc i don't see space-time having an end. And... given that much time, and the fact that it isn't an impossibility for intelligence to exist given we are here, i believe (more on the 90% for this one) that there has to be other intelligence out there... i just also believe that a source for life is another possible implication of intelligence simply being real given endless time.

I actually can back my position up with philosophical possibilities... i never say i am right however especially since i can see more than one possibility... i just happen to advocate my favorite out of those. With that said, i don't think you can ever concede that you may be wrong... and bc of that, you will never understand my beliefs or anyone else's for that matter since you are stuck on only one possibility... So no offense... it's just a waste of time and writing for me to justify what i believe to you. Plus, it wouldn't be appropriate on this thread anyways.

I see you're religious or at least have a deistic point of view. As mathematics are abstract concepts that let us explain our world, likewise the spiritual is a concept that does the same. Our spirit is nothing more than our emotions, traits, behaviour and attitude towards life. It's not something that exists by itself, but it exists to explain our human nature. So, your approach to explain the origins of life by means of a sort of spirit is incorrect and misleading. There is no such thing, I'm afraid, and it's wrong per se. The abstract CANNOT create a material world, it just explain it.
All the best scientists were astute metaphysicians, from Aristotle to Descartes to Newton to Leibniz to Bohr to Schrodinger to Einstein to Godel. I'm talking about what they also studied. Not a religion, not even a deistic god since that would presuppose it is a "who" ... I don't think this higher conscious state is a who... i would say it is more of an "it." But to put that aside, what i am talking about is realizing if this is possible and science cannot at this point. Btw everything is our emotions and feelings. For you to say spirituality is irrational is from feelings. Where do these traits come from? How does that work? Does science have a way to test it? Maybe we can test a little for these, but can science actually test if i exist? Can science test with surety that existence is real? I don't think so.
How do you know if the abstract cannot create? If our entire existence and beyond is a part of an eternal mind, everything can be created especially to a certainty. This is bc this source would be everything... it would be an A.I. playing chess knowing every possible move, and beyond. It would be able to create any world any reality with absolute perfection. Plus, this source wouldn't necessarily be abstract. It is everything. An infinite source. Everything happening is within this source's consciousness. But i understand how you don't get it bc you have probably never experienced it. It is like if i told you sex is great. If you don't experience it you can only think of what you've seen and felt on your own, but you will never get it fully until you experience it. Even if you don't, using just some thinking could at the very least show you the possibility of such a source. My point is it is beyond what science can prove or find evidence for. Science isn't built to be able to answer these questions, just like it can't test for where or how our own consciousness works or is from. And that is something a part of this reality... that is how far behind science is on these concepts. One day i believe it will find out... however i doubt one day it will be able to test for an infinite source.

So, no such "other realities" can possibly exist in our reality as that would simply make that reality part of our reality, hence there is only one reality and science is definitely very well suited for finding answers.
We don't know if there are any other realities. Another realty would be, even without any life, just another universe and we have most definitely the math for these speculations. We just can't test them bc science is for our reality at which point i would agree it is best suited for. We'll just have to see what kind of evidence we can find for multiple universes using science, if we find anything at all.
With thousands of years of theists trying to find answers through their so-called methods, they have failed miserably. For anyone who still follows such a method is merely peeing into wind and watching the urine run down their face.
You know i am against religion and their pursuit. If anything, i think they have a worst time than science getting to the point since they fill in any gap they can with god. They don't try and understand the implications of such a higher intelligence. With that said, at this point in human history, philosophy and thinking seem like the only things that can try and at least do the math for if a spiritual realm can exist.

Don't get me wrong, amigo. I don't think religions or God is the answer either. If we have to be unbiased in this subject we must say that evolution and abiognenesis is a good point to start off with when it comes to know our origins. Nevertheless, I cannot stand how scientists try to sell us that these stupid theories are the answer to our questions, that is a serious offense to our intelligence.I still believe science (righteous science) is the key to know the truth.
I disagree. Science is a great tool so don't get me wrong, however science is for understanding our reality. Science isn't very suited for finding answers in "other" realities, if they exist. Abiogenesis would have had to happen if there was no life, so in that it makes sense. But, we have no idea if life isn't the manifestation of an eternal life per se. We can look at all of existence being a mind... sorta a pantheistic model. Therefore, the eternal incorporeal mind manifests itself into a corporeal existence to experience. I believe this idea is just as likely as the alternative... and if we count my bias in the matter, i believe an eternal source of life is more possible than spontaneous life. But if that is true... i believe the answer can only be found through philosophy if even that... science won't be able to answer this. 1) reason being that this source wouldn't be directly observable in our reality therefore no way to measure it... and 2) this source is infinite... how can you understand something infinite as a finite being? We may never catch up to it, however, we can experience it... which would only be able to be verbalized in a philosophical manner. I think science is a poor method in finding spiritual truths. Spiritual simply being defined as something beyond our known reality / intelligence(s) beyond our reality.

I'd ask you to clearly define your terms "confident" and "intuition"
It's a good thing to define bc all these words mean the same thing to me basically. Every time i say this is my belief, i believe, i'm confident; what i mean is i believe said opinion more than not. Like a 70/30 thing. 70% on any given matter i say those things to. I will clarify usually when i am over 90% sure of something. But, when i say it simply as i believe this or that... i mean more than not.
Ok, I'm not challenging your intuition, but my first question would be, "if space-time is infinite, how can we identify space-time and how can anything exist that is not space-time itself?"Is one region of space-time distinguishable from another region of space-time? I don't mean to be rhetorical, but I believe the answer is "yes"?Infinite space-time would be indivisible.
Everything is a part of space time. I believe there are finite events happening on an infinite platform. Actually, i can even concede that space-time is finite but always infinitely expanding. I guess that would make sense too, especially if i add the mind to it... it would still make sense. It goes out as far as the thought, but just like thought it can keep moving forward. But, the whole thing is that i believe space-time is the platform for finite events.
I believe the answer is yes too. I'm sorta a fictional realist. I believe every reality we can think of exists. The platform being space-time, but everything happening within it could be different. Different laws, molecules, energy, etc. Not going fully into the nerd line of thought, i believe simply there are multi-verses with different laws and such. But space and time i would say is consistent in that it's the platform.
I don't fully get what you mean by indivisible. It cannot be separated? In that case i would say so what. It needs to be consistent for everything else to happen within it.
You can't have two infinite things.
I'm not saying there are two infinite things per se. Everything happening within space-time is finite. The only things that would be infinite is the platform, and the mind if we add the metaphysics to it. I guess i would also add energy as well... all the incorporeal stuff could be infinite, not the physical stuff. That's the thing about space and time.... it isn't something physical which is why your sandbox analogy doesn't apply... or i'm just still not getting it lol.
You are describing noumenon.
Never heard of this before, i'll look it up. I've noticed my spiritual belief is usually the same as people that do hallucinogens. It's interesting bc most that do this get the feeling of an infinite consciousness. I've always found that interesting since i basically thought up my belief bc i felt it is a logical spiritual belief. Then i started seeing all these high mothertckrs have the same belief lol.
Got it. The answer is "magic".
Well, it wouldn't be magic if it just is what it is. An infinite intelligence would explain a lot imho. Plus, this is something that humanity has the potential in creating. It would be no different if we completely made ourselves into robots and downloaded ourselves into whatever reality/simulation we want. The interesting thing is if that is what we are and/or where we come from... then we should have this ability in the future. It would be a prediction made from my spiritual speculations. If we are all from a source that can manifest itself into experiences, then... we should be able to do the same here. It seems, if we continue as innovative as we have been, that is our future. The entire universe could go through heat death and be gone and we'll be floating in empty space as robots downloaded into whatever simulation we want. The future is magic compared to our present. Remember, every 100 years or so, we look back at those humans as primitive. Overall, i think just humanity being real has crazy implications... especially if the platform is infinite.
I do appreciate your civility and always enjoy reading your posts.
I always enjoy our talks too. You are much more well read than i am. Everything i know i have spent years in thought to come up with. I guess that is cool in its own way that i can get to these deep thoughts by myself... but i'm sure i am missing out on some great works by other people to. I find it cool that you know others that have said similar things... a knowledge i wish i had.

@3RU7AL
This is where you jump off the epistemological cliff. How can you pretend to be confident about noumenon? Any confidence in the specific nature of noumenon is pure dogma.
There is just a certain point i will have to jump off. Take a leap in logic. For me, i only do it to make sense of my spiritual belief. A metaphysical belief always makes you have to take the leap. So, i am confident due to the combination of everything, i.e. experience, observation, thinking/logic as a whole. With that said, i am more confident than not that space-time didn't have a start. It just makes more sense to me than the alternative even if i put all my other thoughts aside. It raises more questions than answers if there is finite space-time... i feel occam's razor would say infinite, but i don't think O.Razor is appropriate to use in thoughts such as this one.
(IFF) infinite means literally "without limit" (THEN) anything that can be divided into parts or identified in any way cannot be considered infinite.
Yet i think it is appropriate to use for something like space-time. I guess i am just not understand your reasoning. Can you explain it in a little more layman's terms.
This is the story we are living. This is what we know.
You should say this is only one story of what we know. There can be other things that can happen. Plus, humanity, if we survive to that point in the future, humans can make the universe unrecognizable to us now, and possibly even learn how to create planets, stars, etc. Therefore making the universe itself endless so long as there are these future humans.
Please be a little more specific about how an infinite cosmos solves the infinite regress problem. Is it simply turtles all the way down?
I'm answering this last bc there will be a leap in logic you'll have to take to understand me here. As i said earlier, i believe there is also infinite consciousness/intelligence ("source"). Now, this could have come up in 2 or 3 different ways that are most logical. Its birth is a whole bunch of other thought, so lets just go with it's there. Another thing that is a whole lot of thought is defining specifics about it so i will skip that too. Let's just say there is a source. Furthermore, what this source does is it manifests itself into physical form to experience. In its source state it is infinite per se. Sorta what thought would be if we couldn't die. Would you call thought at that point infinite? So that's basically what i mean here. But the important thing to get is that this source goes from an incorporeal state to a corporeal state to experience. Bc in its source self it is infinite therefore knows everything. All stories from beginning to end. In that sort of state it basically isn't experiencing, so to experience it needs to manifest into a physical form.
The best way to explain this is a sandbox analogy coincidentally for me too. Imagine an infinite/endless stretch of sand. If i were to make a sand castle you would see it and know what it is. But that is the physical form. Even if i didn't create a sand castle, imagine the castle is already there. In this stretch of sand everything exists. For one to experience it you would have to actually make the castle. But even if you didn't, the castle exists within the sand. This is what i mean about the source... it isn't a "who" it's an "it" where everything already exists within it and manifests into physical to experience it.
So lastly how does this fix infinite regress? Think of a bunch of books going on forever. If the first book is a drama and then you say go to the middle to find a fantasy book you will never get there. The first book will never meet another book since it is infinitely behind the other books. However, if you add a mind to this... it won't matter if the first book never gets to the other books, you just need to read it. A mind can pick up the first book, experience it, put it down and look for the next drama book. Therefore, a source may be on an infinite platform but since it manifests as a finite being at one point or another... it doesn't matter if the platform is infinite. Since all it does is manifest life for a short time and then dies and picks the next. So, this source could pick the first book if it wants, a drama, or it can search for any other genre it wants to experience. It doesn't matter if they infinitely move bc this mind picks one point, experiences that one point, dies and picks the next point. The platform could be infinite, but to this mind it doesn't matter... bc it will manifest itself wherever it wants. Add to this that the source is also everything, it simply just has the imagine the point/reality it wants to manifest into and it instantaneously goes there. The problem of infinite regress goes away if you add this sort of mind to it.

When did i ever say it's a moral act? It isn't and punishments aren't normally moral. Plus, i am happy Trump signed an order to stop it from happening. If it is still happening, it has little to do with him since he signed an order to stop it. So, if they are breaking the law than i am against them too for not following Trumps order. I am for law and order. Under Obama, this happened without anyone blinking an eye and he obviously didn't do anything about it. So, i don't understand how this is a matter you can hate on Trump for since he took steps to stop it, which is more than the other presidents have done.Seperating immingrant children from their parents is immoral act, that you empathetic centers are dissconected from. I can only presume the parents not only love but have empathy for their children. If can not empathize with those families, then I think your a Trumpanzee policy supporter. That is sad :--( and unbecoming of any decent human with access to their brains empathetic centers.
Sure... that doesn't mean they should put their kids through so much trouble and danger. I doubt all of them care too. I'm sure some are truly escaping violence... but there is a lot doing it for selfish reasons too. That is why we need a border and legal immigration. To let the good people in and keep the bad out.
Yes we do need immigrants to many labor jobs that need to be done in USA. This is a fact/truth. The only good side is that these children may have a better life in the tents in Texas than they may have had in their home countries. I dunno all of the details nor do you.
That is enough? Bc they will come here and take jobs? One, Americans will find people to work these jobs if we had to. Second, i don't think employment is a good enough reason to let anyone in. There are good people. 15 trillion dollars of taxes are paid by them. Yet, they spend 90+ trillion in tax payer money. They are stealing from citizens. Then there are the criminals coming here. And, the diseases they bring with them not going through the proper medical screening. So... like i said, give an easier way to citizenship to the ones coming here and working hard. I want them here. I don't want the rest that don't fall under that list. Hence, we need to enforce our borders.

Then you should be happy Trump signed an executive order to stop separating families.
This nation wasn't a nation. Using it was built on immigrants is a fallacious argument bc we are a nation now and must control who comes in.
It is a crime to come here illegally. Crimes carry consequences... even j-walking. I, being an immigrant, came here legally. Why is it that i can do it and others can't? How is it fair to me and others like myself that follow the law and respect the nation we are passionate to be a part of? Other than that, as i mentioned, illegal immigration is a detriment to our country more than it helps. I think you lack empathy in seeing how it harms Americans. For some reason... all of your empathy is going towards those that don't give two craps about you as a citizen.

@3RU7AL
The evidence we currently have strongly suggests that space and time are the same thing and they were once very very small and now they are getting larger and larger and we are approximately 50% of the way through the cycle, incidentally this makes a lot of sense because the 50% mark is the peak of the complexity curve.
All we know is "our" universe. This evidence is trying to make sense of the universe we know. We don't know how far it goes or if there is anything beyond it or before it. So, we are stuck in only speculating on what we can tell. And, just bc things look as though what they are doesn't mean we are remotely right about it in a bigger picture. All we know is that a star could have exploded in another universe, created a black hole, and we are in that black hole. Star explode = big bang; the black holes gravity = our universes expansion. Who knows, it can be anything, but i am pretty sure or i should say instead, i'm confident that our universe wasn't the start of space and wasn't the start of time in the bigger sense of things. I understand when we say the start of "our" space-time... but that is all we can know therefore are stuck with saying that. I'm okay with that, but it answers very little in my opinion and ignores the grandness of reality.
From our best calculations all space and time will come to a screeching halt at the predicted heat death of the cosmos.
No. "Our" universe will come to a halt. They have no idea what will happen to space and time.
You can believe the universe is "infinite" if you like, but I'd be curious about why you would think that and what possible utility you believe that belief might grant.
It makes more sense to me than a finite route. In part bc i can also answer the infinite regress problem from my metaphysical belief's point of view. Bc metaphysically i also believe intelligence/consciousness is infinite and that answers why there is no infinite regress problem plus other things about life. I can go over it if you're interested. But, even if i put aside my metaphysical beliefs, logically it make more sense. If there is a boundary... what does the boundary look like? How long does the boundary go for? What is it made of if anything? Then how long does that go for? But if it goes on forever and finite events happen within it... then we can worry about points within it and not that it hits a "wall."

@3RU7AL
Why would it obliterate finite existence? Are you talking about the infinite regress problem?
For example, if "space" was truly and absolutely infinite, there could be no planets or stars.Planets and stars are technically the boundary of space.
When a planet moves or dies, what is left over... space. There will always be space. I can see how you are saying they are boundaries to space and one can look at it as its boundary but there is always space without the planet or star there. As they are physically manifest, they are occupying space so you can call them boundaries... but all they are doing is, occupying space. One day they will die and leave more space. Interestingly, some stars that die create another form of space, i.e. black holes, but it's still space.

People often use the term infinity in illogical ways. For instance, they might say "we have infinite choices" or "we have infinite potential" or "the universe is infinite space" or "mathematical integers are infinite".However, I will not belabor the point since I believe we agree that everything is technically finite. I also have a logical proof of this if you're interested.
I'm interested. I don't see how in the most literal sense, space isn't infinite i.e. doesn't have any boundaries.

I'm a centrist Ebuc so i don't care much for politicians on the left or right. I think Trump is just like any other politician. Has done some good and bad. One thing i like about Trump is that everyone hates him... that is winning in my book. With that said, the separation of children has been happening pre-Trump. But wasn't it Trump that just did an executive order to try not to separate children? Good for him, i think that was empathetic. However, just like any citizen gets thrown in jail without their kids, illegal immigrants should know these are consequences of breaking our laws. Do they think about us at all? Do they care that they might be bringing diseases to our country? Do they care that they are spending tax payer money without giving anything back making it harder for Americans? It seems like to me, people trying to come here illegally don't really care about the detriments they bring with them affecting Americans.
We have laws, laws are put in place to deter crimes. The punishments in breaking the laws shouldn't be something empathetic. The punishments are harsh bc they are suppose to deter crime. Coming here illegally is a crime. We can't roll out the red carpet and put them in 5 star hotels giving them all you can eat while they are detained. Then everyone will break the law and come here illegally. The punishment is never something considered moral... punishment is fundamentally immoral. It's the evil we must do to stop evil or bad behavior. Now... i am of the belief there should be an easier path to citizenship for people trying to come here. A merit based system that will award an immigrant with citizenship if they show that they are working hard and adding to our society. I believe that could work. But i'm sorry... to be kind to people breaking the law, a portion of whom are criminals, a portion of whom will come here and leach off our system, a portion of whom bringing disease... all to American citizens' detriment... need to be punished just as any other criminal is punished.

I'm glad my parents didn't do that... i would have felt violated. My grandma was religious however, but she never preached it to anyone else. She would just do her thing and pray, and in that scenario, sometimes i would go pray next to her bc i thought it was fun and a game. No one ever told me i had to or "consequences" if i didn't... it was always up to me. I'm thankful my family was like that.
I remember a kid in the 4th or 5th grade really liking this girl and then finding out she was Jewish. He was muslim or something that goes against her belief. I remember right when he found out he started crying and cussing "no i can't be with her" "i can't ask her out anymore" ... I remember thinking you're a fool... F* your religion. I think that was the first time i noticed religion's bs.

That could be the chance this site is taking, and who knows... it can work out just fine. Plus, suing for patent would be hard. But what i do know from my experience is that DDO has this site dead to rights on copyright. It would be an easy win. And, with easy wins come lawyers, like my lawyers, that take cases on contingency... therefore, costing him very little if anything. Furthermore, you can petition the court for the losing party to pay attorney fees. Depending on the state the action gets filed, that might also be a sure thing bc copyright infringement, under certain rules, has attorney's fees included in the damages awarded. There are many factors, but in the end of the day, i would call this a more than average risk i personally wouldn't take in monetizing. Usually, things like copyright infringement, have a more passionate clientele. And let me tell you.. nothing pisses a content creator off more than someone stealing their idea or work and profiting from it.

If i was him i would wait until this site starts generating money then sue for intellectual property damages... that's what most do. At this point, he can just sue and make him change or stop using this format or stop the site. Once the site starts making money, there will also be monetary damages he could sue for... That is only if DDO is properly protected by filing everything for copyright and patents for the design... if he even owns those rights. But if he does, I've worked on a couple copyright cases and usually the person waits until there is some sort of monetary damages they can win so if he is a business guy he will likely wait to pounce.

I don't know. The only sleep scientist i have heard from was the guy on Joe Rogan's podcast. He mentioned 7 hours is the minimum bc that is the time your brain cleans out some kind of chemical that is a detriment to your brain. He also mentioned a lot of studies saying stuff like if high school kids were forced to get 7 hours of sleep... teen accidents would decrease by 40% or something ridiculous like that. You just have to listen to the podcast. The guy seemed knowledgeable.

To be at 100% you need to get at least 7 hours of sleep. Watch Joe Rogan's podcast where he interviews a sleep doctor/scientist. It's amazing how much of a difference 7 hours makes.

I'm not going to argue with you. I already told you my position on the matter. Everyone here isn't under the obligation to behave like you or how you want. If it is malicious and threatening... then you have a point. But if i simply think "religious people" are deluding themselves.. i know enough about organized religion to make that presupposition. That isn't my style. I don't start with that... but, i don't expect everyone to act like me either. It is an opinion i can argue no matter how it comes up.
Created:

@EtrnlVw
That's an opinion and not an argument.
That's not an opinion, it is the definition of the word.
Lol, yeah if you're a troll that likes to avoid clean debate. Sorry that's weak.
So what? I like to troll sometimes and i like to be trolled sometimes. I can handle it. And if you think i am weak... you have thoroughly deluded yourself for the sake of being right.
That was my point all along, that's not being sensitive. That's adding value to the forum.
What is value? Why are you the one to define it? If you want to... define exactly what you think value should be. I actually know who this is in regards to. I had a conversation with him and it ended in "ignorance is bliss" to apply to both of us. We ended on disagreement thinking the other is deluding themselves. I'm fine with that. I will pick up in the future and argue my position and at the same time... i have a little more respect for him for sticking to his position and giving me something to prove. That is value to me.

@EtrnlVw
"I believe your spiritual belief is deluded bc it is not founded on anything that can be objectively proven, and furthermore has zero evidence." That is a proper objection to your belief. And... no, i don't see you hide which is why i am stunned right now you want to censor someone instead of putting them in their place.
Created:

@EtrnlVw
Calling another deluded is another way, or the best way, to say they have been deceived or have a misleading belief. It is a very appropriate word for the religion forum. If the other person decides not to back up why he thinks others are deluded, then he has no argument or position which is a L for him/her. You are being overly sensitive. Calling someone's belief deluded and telling them why you think so is a proper debate and argument... although with a little attitude (which i personally love). If they don't tell you why your position is deluded or can't... then it should be easy pickings.
Created:

@EtrnlVw
Oh come on man... this is making you sound weak. I'll be honest with you about that. If someone calls you deluded, protect yourself by coming back at them with information and debate. If they answer without addressing your points, then they are the ones that are deluded. So you can simply stop responding by saying you can't have a conversation with someone that is deluding themselves (or say it nicer or say nothing at all). It works both ways. Plus, to the causal readers, they will be on your side and someone might even jump in and say something to defend you. But that can only happen if you continue to hold your ground and message. It only hurts the person that doesn't reply with logical arguments.
It is too extreme to ban everyone that calls others deluded. It's a slippery slope. Why? What about calling others ignorant? What about calling someone a dunce? And variations thereof that are said in an indirect way... i.e. that is a dunce thing to say... that is a deluded position... that is an ignorant argument, etc.
In conclusion, why do you want to have a safe space? That isn't reality. That isn't life. In life you will be offended and hear illogical words. You have to defend yourself not censor and hide. You want this site to only be things you want to hear.. You can't have it your way to be comfortable. You can't expect that people that oppose you should always do so in a logical way bc if they don't you are offended. Learn to be offended and stand up for yourself... not want to censor everyone that offends you. That works against you even if you are right bc it will be viewed as weak and immature.

Happily, he has said he will never return here. So perhaps your efforts at advocacy would be better spent on someone more worthy of your support.
I'll spend my time advocating for anyone i think was unfairly punished. I concede that his posting style could come off as spam, so i think a warning not to do it is justified. If he does come back and continues with said behavior, i agree with punishments. The debate bw us right now isn't really Willows. I know him and that he can be very trolly (which i don't know if i agree deserves punishment if the trolling isn't malicious). We are disagreeing on punishment methods. I think every minor to medium offense should always have a warning before action is taken. Bc these are offenses that some may not know is against the rules. I feel this situation is one of those scenarios. Like i said, i wouldn't have known that was considered spam bc of my way of defining what spam is so i could have even done it. So, in these kind of situations it's good to get a warning. In any case, I'm done with this situation, i said my peace and i feel the situation was handled properly in the end.

@Terran
Can you explain your spiritual belief to me? What does it believe as a whole? What/who is/are the deity(s)? And, what does it say about the afterlife? Specifics about the afterlife please, bc i am best versed on afterlife beliefs. After i know these, then i will start to attempt to understand what prophetic visions you have. I have to know if the belief is right first.

@ethang5
Like i said, if he keeps bumping it up to the top i agree that is spam. But i know Willows as much as you do. I haven't noticed him do that. Maybe 1 or 2 of them, but maybe he just really wanted an answer to the ones he bumps up. I've never seen him bump up all his threads in a spam way. But in any case, he should understand now that it is something that is not tolerated. I found a problem in that there was no warning. Warn him, if it continues, then ban. That is the right way to do it. His ban was due only to posting a bunch of questions. I might one day want to ask a bunch of questions...who knows. The point is that doesn't seem like a ban worthy thing to do and without a warning i would have never known either. So... if he decides to come back and continue to break rules... i will personally report it and be okay with the consequences it deserves. Things need to be fair... it can't play out that anyone that gets a report gets a ban. There needs to be steps, and with a moderation team now, i am sure there will be steps... and you have to agree that is the responsible way to proceed.

I would hunt those hunting others. 100% sure that's what i would do. Oh... and i would not only be great at it... i would love it. How i would do it. Full ninja suit with tactical gear, bullet proof vest and the works. I would also have night vision googles that can also see in thermal or regular if i wanted it to. I would have a samurai sword, two handguns and a silenced smg. With as much ammo as i could carry. Probably in the thousands since i would keep them in a car that is also bulletproof. No one will see me coming. Man... just thinking about this is fun.
Edit 2: oh, and i would probably need some grenades and explosives for the larger groups ^'-'^

I agree with everything you said. The nature of the religion forum and the politics form is already insulting and offensive. One side thinks the other side is killing the world. That is most definitely heated and will always turn into some kind of insult in a heated exchange. That is what the Coc doesn't take into account... the two forums that are already offensive in nature. But from what i am gathering, the mods will judge each situation accordingly. I hope it is that way or else even i may be banned one day bc i have called others ignorant or deluded. Not in a malicious way or a threatening way... just heated debate. Even you and i have crossed that path, but never tipped over into what someone would see as hateful or malicious. It just happens in these two forums. So i agree with you in that minor insults should be overlooked. But of course things like Hari writes or even what i saw Bully write to Jane need to have a consequence. That kind of behavior should be what we look for and kick off this site.
In regards to your spamming concern. I can see how you can construe that as spamming but i always thought spamming was consistently pushing your topic to the top to disrupt forums. If someone asks 10 questions and leaves it alone, i don't think that is spamming. 20 questions in 6 hours is a bit much, and the site is justified in not wanting that... but, if he just left them alone... everyone's thread would eventually come back to the top bc the person isn't spamming if not pushing the thread back to the top. In any case, this infraction should only be a warning... if not heeded, then punishment should be warranted. I think you understand that, but you may not agree with my definition of spamming.

It's the space bw the occupied space, right?
Wait... how did i get this wrong? Just when i thought i am understanding you. Common man, if this is wrong you need to tell me why it's wrong or i will never understand you. It would helpful if you told me how i am wrong and what the right answer is. I think i am scratching the surface of your meaning, but if i am way off you have to steer me in the right direction. Bc i truly thought i got it.
If and when you ever have any shred of rational, logical common sense or evidence to support this irrational. illogical lack of common sense concept ---and that is all it is--- please share. There is certainly none in any of comments. Where do you nutcases get these irrational, illogical lack of common sense ideas from? Marvel comics?Star Wars movies? Star Trek? Et
I'm going to answer this contention from this post since you were more specific. First off... where does the idea and story of these fictions come from? Explain to me, objectively, scientifically, why humans are able to imagine such realities. Why are humans capable of imagining into the future and have the ability to create art that transcends our reality? What has science proven about this? I can help you with all these question in that it should be we have no clue.
Second, there is evidence of a spiritual reality all around us. However, for some... this evidence is profound. For me, the evidence was profound due to having not only transcending spiritual experiences, but i have had spiritual experiences that defy the laws of this reality. I also have the ability to look at big pictures. In fact, it is the genius side of me. So, looking at the big pictures of my spiritual experiences i have been able to conclude that some sort of intelligence interacted in an incorporeal way to manifest the experiences i have had. Therefore, i, personally, have had direct proof of a spiritual reality. Now... this is anecdotal evidence, therefore considered weak evidence, so in no way is weak evidence proof.
With that said, there are countless other people that have had spiritual experiences. So in addition to above, i weigh others spiritual experiences to mine, and observe. All in all, when you piece it all together... it all points to a higher consciousness/intelligence. Therefore... you may think there is zero evidence, but that is far from the truth. There is absolutely enough evidence to at the very least suspect this spiritual reality. There are other experiences i have had that have helped me define this spiritual reality even more. Therefore, i am around 70-80% sure of it. So i would say to you to find a way to add it to your hierarchy bc without it, you would be missing something.

Johnny Depp is a money hoe too lol. He would probably take the role. But i get what you mean. He does have the look. He is just a bit silly though. I don't see him as a ghost of vengeance type. Plus he is older now. It would be kinda weird playing the romantic musician type that is suppose to be young and just getting married. In any case, i really don't want them to remake the movie. It is literally my favorite movie so i would be kinda disappointed. Some movies you just have to leave alone.

I'll give it a thought, but I actually really like how i look with a shaved head. It is actually pretty empowering. It takes a month to see it. I hated it at first, but after a month it is a really weird confidence it gives you. I'm sorta addicted to it now. So i'm not even worried about getting my hair back. i guess it would be good to have the option though.

Yeah it's sad. But he will be remembered for a long time in the future for that brilliant movie. They were trying to make a remake of it and tried to have the guy that played aguaman, jason momo or something, play him. I can see it, but he dumped the role. He said the movie is way to big a shoe to fill. I respected him for that... bc i would be pretty mad if they make a crap remake... or a remake in general. Leave this movie alone.

You have a good amount in common with me. I guess this can sorta work as an introduction for me too... i also am musically trained. Drums, piano, guitar, bass, recording. In that order of how good i am at those instruments. Spiritual of course. I'm just not a dad lol. I don't see myself ever having a family... i'm a bit dark in that i am okay with being alone. Although, i have great friends and family so i'm not truly ever alone. One thing interesting... i wonder what your Briggs test personality would be. I am an INFJ... the most spiritual minded of all signs too and most rare. I'd say it's the best sign, but so does everyone with their signs. I use to have long hair too. Looked exactly like the crows hair. Unfortunately i am affected by balding so i shaved my head now. But it's nothing a wig can't fix for Halloween lol. Btw... Halloween is my favorite holiday. And i love anything dark (dark romantic btw... i hate violent and gore type stuff). With music i am a master of the minor keys. I'm a paralegal right now, but i am planning on doing something that would let me use my creative side. It's a boring life if i can't use my creativity. I'm happy you've found a means to use your creativity. It's hard finding something that can make you a living in the creative fields. Oh... and also trained kickboxing for years now. I love martial arts... trying to learn cool stuff with a bo staff right now.

I think i get it. Non-occupied space would be the space bw stars per se. And then, going into the micro... it's not only the space bw the stars, but going micro and the space bw particles, etc. It's the space bw the occupied space, right? I think it just hit me.
Read my lips/text here exists only two kinds of infinite ;1} metaphysical-1, mind/intellect/concepts,2} macro-infinite non-occupied space.There exists no infinite inteligence.
Infinite intelligence basically means infinite metaphysical-1 if i were to define it. It's not proven, but i think there is enough evidence to suspect that life is caused by some kind of mind that is higher than our minds.

I'd rather no politicians lie to us but that isn't reality. i would say 99% of politicians lie... especially the presidents. Some just hide it better than others. I don't trust powerful people in general bc i know the nature of their position; it's that of power that they would rather die than to relinquish. We are run by narcissists. CEO's, company owners, politicians. I would also say the percentage of that is high. I don't trust anyone in a power position bc i know they are most likely corrupted. So that is how i view these people.
What i don't care about is hearing news about a porn star being paid off. News about foreign intervention into our politics when i am 100% foreign interference happens all the time. If they had something on him by now, they would have found it. Fine, be on it for a little while... but this has been going on his entire presidency... it is a witch hunt at this point. do you know how much resources it is taking to do this witch hunt? How many other true crimes are being overlooked by the people working on this thing? It just a dumb thing to be going after him for.
And as much as i hate powerful people in these positions, i also believe there should be some respect. He holds a respectable position and it seems everyone would rather disrespect. This divides our country and people which are the people i don't hate. It is having an overall negative effect. The president himself isn't even very good at not creating a divide but this just exacerbates it. Plus, overall, it really makes me think why other powerful people are so scared of this one... it really makes me think bc remember i think they are almost all corrupted. So i wonder why his band of corruption ticks off others so much. In any case, i love it. Watching these fools squirm.
