Said this to a few others, I will repeat it here. The pawn has more to do with my other role, Miller is just an add-on and I didn't see a direct justification for it in the PM. Only thing I can think of is that the pawn is a weak piece and being a Miller makes the role weaker.

To me, they are both generic republcians
Policy-wise, they weren't too different at the time, but Palin interviewed badly, making her seem like more of a loose cannon. Her interviews with Couric likely damaged her image a lot. In comparison, McCain was a war hero, something that both parties would see as a positive.

Why would someone hate Sarah Palin besides party affiliation?
Do people need a reason, other than party affiliation, to dislike a politician of the opposing party?
I don't think it's anything that unique to her. She had a few scandals, but I doubt people care much about them. People who dislike Palin will dislike most people who share her positions. She endorsed Trump, so you have the never-Trumpers against her as well. Back when she was running for vice president, she was more hated than McCain, but nowadays most of the Trump camp is as extreme as her, if not more so.

I think it has something with it being a weak piece, hence having a disadvantage. However, I think the function of the pawn itself has more to do with the other role, not the miller modifier.

I'm fine with that. Haven't played with a lot of people before so my behavioral reads may be off. My inclination is to suspect you since you are accusing me and I know I'm town. But you also strike me as a very proactive player in general, so that's far from conclusive. For now, I'll take your accusation on the chin and keep an eye out for scum.

I'm going to come right out and say this in D1, since revealing it after being investigated would just be suspicious. Despite winning with the town, my role has a "Miller" modifier, which means I will be shown as guilty if investigated by the cop. Revealing the rest of my role would be pretty bad for the town, and I couldn't confirm it anyway. If it comes to revealing or being lynched, I'll reveal, but it would be far from ideal.

Well, Israel is a major US ally and is being actively funded by America, which has the most powerful military in the world and a huge influence on geopolitics. Add to that the events on October 7th getting a ton of media attention (which was the entire point of them in the first place), and years of bitter attitudes toward the Israel-Palestine conflict all leading up to this. Given the significance of the US and the Middle East on the international stage, it's not shocking that they're getting so much attention. If China starts bombing Taiwan, you'll see a similar reaction, but if Sudan invades Chad, no one's going to care.

While I still suspect Austin, I'll admit that looking into which games I'm referencing in an attempt to trap me feels like town behavior. Seems like scum would be more focused on how they look to other players rather than looking for logical holes in what other players say.
But that said, I don't know how threatening BK into healing JoeBob actually makes me more suspicious. If I was scum and knew about the role blocker, I would have expected to be called on that. After all, Austin admits I have experience with mafia. Maybe it's an elaborate WIFOM gambit, but what would be the point? In all honesty, a mistake like that shouldn't make me look more like town or scum. Even if I was scum, it would be more likely to be a mistake rather than an illogical framing plan that would easily be discovered if I tried to push it too far.

Savant shows that he's read all the way back to My Favorite Anime Characters mafia, yet claims not to know about the existence of a strongman or roleblocker. Just a note.
I remember some details but not others. It was a while ago, but I tried to pay attention to what characters know about others. This is your most logical reason for accusing me so far (though it's still not excellent). But I'm definitely not the most suspicious character here, and I will confirm my role anyway.

Couple that with his decision to keep pushing the Pie wagon even directly after he claimed Mark Grayson and it just doesn’t scream “scum” to me.
Given how confident Austin was about lynching Pie, the fact that he's continuing to push hard seems like a scum strategy. I could see a scum player panicking and sticking to their guns even after making a mistake, fearing that pivoting would be seen as unnatural. Whereas I think a town player would be willing to immediately adjust their accusation based on new evidence. It's not necessarily WIFOM, just an instinctive response. Austin said he would "bet his account" on Pie's claim being fake and entirely failed to deliver evidence for this. We could debate whether a scum player would pretend to act rationally or irrationally, but I think a town player would act more rationally than Austin has been so far.
That said, whiteflame knows Austin much better than I do and has outed him before as scum. So if he feels strongly about this, I'd be willing to go with him and let Austin live for at least today. But if we do lynch Austin later and he's scum, that puts some suspicion on whiteflame in my opinion.

Five pirates are figuring out how to divide up a newly plundered treasure of 100 gold coins. From most senior to least senior: Pirate A, Pirate B, Pirate C, Pirate D, and Pirate E. The rules:
- The most senior pirate must propose a distribution (for example, giving himself all 100 gold coins and 0 for everyone else), and then all the pirates must vote on it.
- If at least half of the pirates vote for a proposal, the proposal is accepted and the gold is split according to that distribution.
- Otherwise, if the proposal is rejected, the pirate that proposed it is kicked out, and this process repeats with the remaining pirates.
- Each pirate’s main goal is to maximize the gold they receive (but a pirate that is kicked out gets no gold), but are also spiteful enough to prefer kicking out the other pirates, all else equal.
