Perhaps then you are a force for Good in The World.
I see your efforts to save the lost souls in your own ways, which may not be obvious to others. If God exists, then we are all Brothers & Sisters under Christ.
And if it is your own words that can convince me to turn to God, then all the merrier.

So you can be Christian and then also study other religions and change religion if other is better. Kinda like how I was Christian until Satan took me.
I mean yeahhh that is a valid argument.
But constantly switching religions may jeopardize the authenticity of my will and ability to commit.

@AdaptableRatman
It does suit your past behaviour here a lot better.
Do you mean Catholicism or Christianity?
When you are truly ready to change completely and be genuinely born again in Christ, then and only then with full surrender shall you realise hownthe Catholic church is the irrefutable 1 true best ever church.
This is a very strong and compelling case for catholicism. While originally I was against catholicism for its dirty history, you did do a good job at redeeming it. So I will certainly reconsider it as an option. You drive a hard bargain
It is hard to overlook the degeneracy and inhuman abominations a lot of these church organizations have become. It's one of the factors that caused me to reject mormonism in the past. It was the cultlike behavior but also the crimes of its founder, Joseph Smith.

I would. The motivation is certainly compelling.
My main obstacle however isn’t I haven’t devoted enough time to studying the other religions.

If I did become Christian, I believe my first choice would be Eastern Orthodox. There are certainly great arguments against this decision, but I believe it’s easier to defend.
The history of it versus catholics is truly very interesting in my opinion.
This is a complete bias though, I admit.

@AdaptableRatman
What are your thoughts on the debates regarding church history?
In the Orthodox Study Bible, there’s a passage that describes the history of The Catholic Church before they split from the Orthodox about how one division wished to recognize a universal bishop, and how this division excommunicated someone against the approval of the clergy members. Resulting in the separation.
There’s definitely arguments of which came first. Orthodox say they came first, and vice-versa.

This post is about Orthodoxy vs Catholicism vs Protestantism, and it's directed towards christians.
In my personal studies, I've noticed the divide in these denominations. And it's by no means uncommon for the denominations to talk smack about each other.
The differences that caused these splits was always due to church politics and tension over differences of scriptural interpretation.
Where do you stand on the side of church politics, if you are Christian?
If you are a christian that believes all churches are universally acceptable, so long as you have faith in God, then this post doesn't apply to you.
Protestants, evangelicals, orthodox, catholic... I want to hear from all of you what denomination/church you represent and why it appeals to you the most, versus other branches of christianity.

The particular thread you're referencing does not meet the criteria of the type of vile content OP is complaining about.
That thread was not actually endorsing crime, nor was that the context. That was misinterpreted.
So it doesn't fit the grounds for removal

@ADreamOfLiberty
If there was a pot of gold, then it must be risked for freedom of speech.We've seen the pattern throughout history including the last decade. You let the overton window float free of people and reality you've just created a self-selecting group of censors off on their own (probably) absurd adventure. In other words an echo chamber.There is not even a point in debating in such a context it is purely a waste of time. Maybe that's why everybody stopped debating and now they're all on social media sites designed to cater to the desire to spam emotion and talking points in two sentences and no more.A debate site that doesn't care about free speech is like vegan cat food. Pointless and doomed.
Since you dropped the following argument of this thread. So let's weigh the following impacts.:
Your right to freedom of speech on a private platform versus everyone else's right to safety.
Oof. Your odds are now not looking so good.
Yeah no, that's a terrible argument.
Are you seriously announcing that there is no point in debating recreationally if you're not allowed to argue for something taboo, illegal, or straight-up degeneracy?
Anyone who thinks like that shouldn't call themselves a debater.
And the creators and authorities of a debate site are under no obligation to preserve your freedom of speech, but they do have a moral obligation to protect everyone's safety.
Your analogy about vegan cat food doesn't hold up here because at least OP's version has standards.
There are innumerable examples of censorship and mass censorship on each of those platforms. WTF?
Forget censorship, forget freedom of speech.
There aren't going to be either of those when there isn't even a site to debate on.
Freedom of speech on a private platform should be a privilege to be earned, but since it's practically uncensored here, people like you have been taking it for granted.

Simply put, the only thing this site has to offer is free speech
Surely, DART's only redeemable-quality can't be free speech.
If that's the only thing DART has, then it doesn't deserve to stick around. There are plenty of other platforms that allow free speech like Reddit, Quora, Discord.
Free speech is a good thing, it's a valuable thing even.
But for a privately-owned platform like DART, it needs to be used responsibly.
It would be a win-win-win if you support my suggestion for you to reform. You get to remain and contribute to the site, the site gets to keep its free speech, and everyone who likes this site gets to keep the site.

Laws differ by location.
Although this is an issue that transcends legal concerns, I do believe that most areas of the world would not allow these views. As in, these views are universally scrutinized for very valid reasons.
DART is truly an outsider.
DART is truly an outsider.
Suffice it to say, I simply don't agree with anyone declaring that DART should be a debating platform with broad appeal.
It is very niche-based and it should remain the size that it is. There are plenty of other superior platforms, but DART is in way too deep at this point.

This thread actually raises a lot of valid points.
And I totally get and understand the point of debate allowing people to think and express their beliefs however they want, but the site needs to stop tolerating views that encourage or enable illegal behavior.
All morals and ethics aside, allowing a platform for such opinions to take place sets this site up as a potential target for law enforcement investigation or vigilante justice.

How would you like to be one of the hosts for the debate resolutions?
Created:
-->
@Moozer325
Since you are the first person to join the Tournament, you are a competitor.
If you mean by who I am choosing to debate the topics, the answer is that the participants who host the debates will be randomized.
Worst case scenario is no one wishes to debate those resolutions, so I will step in in that case and debate whiteflame or anyone else on the chosen resolution.
Then when the debate is finished, you and the other competitors will compete by voting on the debate.
Do you have certain resolutions you would like to see debated?

Welcome, users.
The first TRT tournament has concluded 2 years ago without an established winner. I am here to announce that The Round Table Tournaments have officially returned and we now begin the second series of this new chapter.
As tournament themes and tropes have been overdone, today we do something new. The likes of which DART has never seen before.
Rather than this competition being based on debates. The roles have now reversed.
This tournament will be based on competition through voting. Your votes will be judged on the following criteria.:
- Length.
- Detail. (Information from your analysis to prove that you read the debate.)
- Justification. (Your explanation for why you voted for a particular contender, and how you scored points.)
Now. There are five slots available. If you wish to enter, type /in:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
There will be a total of four rounds. For each round, all voters must only vote on three debates at a time, and all voters will be assigned to the same three debates. If a voter fails to vote on a debate after the voting period has concluded that voter may fall behind on a few points.
If you are registering as a voter, you are encouraged to write suggestions for debate resolutions you want to see debated
Include as much detail for the rules and bop as you can. (Optional, not required.)
If your resolution is approved, it shall become 1 of the 3 debates for Round #1.
Users who debate the resolution will be chosen randomly, but they are required to put (TRT) in the title of the debate for clarification. The voting period for debates will have a max time of two weeks. The max time for arguments is 3 days.
Debates will be rated.
(Anyone who participates in this tournament cannot participate as a debater.)

Sorry, I believe I misworded it.

Hypothetically, the mod position would require him to give it up before his new title could be established.

@Savant
Then I am on this site for like 12 hours a day, so always available. Also, in case of conflicts between users, I will work to calm it down and return focus to debate.
Dedication.
I will also promote a policy of "ban as a last resort", so I pretty much wont be banning anyone unless they are actually hurting others.
Empathy.
The ideal requirements for a potential mod candidate.
Now to make it official, all you have to do now is give up trolling through shock value and offensive content.
If you manage to become a mod, then that means you've already demonstrated successful reform.

Given this new context, I am reporting this post as a call-out thread.
If a formal decision is made pending the investigation to ban Best.Korea, I support it.
If a formal decision is made pending the investigation to ban Best.Korea, I support it.
However, threads like these that are created to seemingly publicize and perpetuate what is a moderator decision to make just seem in bad taste IMO.
The motive behind this post isn't because of moral outrage from reading triggering content, but because of something completely unrelated.
And the thread is now devolving into people attacking a particular user.
And as Savant correctly points out, was created to encourage to incentivize targeted harassment. That alone is sufficient enough to warrant removal.

@Savant
That’s a valid point.
I’m neutral in this entire situation.
If people were hating on Best.Korea because they are morally outraged by the vile content he writes. That’s completely reasonable.
But if that’s their justification and they’re not holding Wylted and ADOL to a similar standard, they’re being hypocritical.
But according to Wylted himself, his justification for hating and trolling Best.Korea is separate from everyone else’s.
Wylted does not appear to be offended by Best.Korea’s takes, but has implied he is disappointed with Best.Korea not honoring the spirit of debate by arguing his positions seriously.
That’s what I took away from the conversations between those two
